I went to pick up a car seat that was marked as "ready for pickup," but when I arrived at the store, I was told it hadn't yet been delivered from the warehouse. When I asked when it would arrive, I was simply told to come back later since they receive multiple deliveries. I then asked if I could be notified once it actually arrived, but was told that wasn't possible. So now I'm left with a notification saying my order is ready, but no reliable way to know when it will actually be available--other than repeatedly coming back or calling the store. I did try calling, but was disconnected twice. Overall, this was a very poor experience and extremely inconvenient. read more

This target is clean and has a wide selection in comparison to others in the area. Hard to find any employees in the store...biggest complaint is the RIDICULOUS amount of parking for curbside pickup and there isnt 1 parking spot set aside for a pregnant woman. How many women who are preggo go to target? A lot. How often are even 50% of the curbside pickup spots used?? Probably never. Sorry covid is over, update your parking lot. read more

The drive up pick up department at this location is a mess. I've been given the wrong size clothing, sets where the top and bottom was mismatched. I went in to let them know and they handed me the bag back the items and told me to go look for it myself for the right matching sizes... I'm like what??? That's your job! I am so disappointed in Target management. My US Navy veteran father purchased $500 in gift cards for his grand and great grand children for Christmas. Upon opening their gifts, they were delighted, but upon trying to use them (at Target) they were unable to. There began an all day adventure trying to find out why. These cards, sold by Target were hacked and the funds drained. When I went to speak to the management about it, they not only told me, it is my problem (politely) but that this happens all the time!? Why would they continue to sell something that puts the consumer at risk? After calling American Express and Vanilla VISA, all operated by InComm, the best they could do is give us the addresses for the fraudulent activity, suggesting we approach the offenders or merchants of offenders. I have written to Target execs and American Express, InComm and Visa, all of whom got their cut of my father's spend. The only loser here is my father, who is our $500. His scanner was not working and he told me "sorry it's not loading" so I told him that it was ok and that he can take his time, I was in no rush. This location is horrible. All associates here lack customer service. No wonder because their managers Sammie and Amir lack service and very rude to customers. I am a red card member. Bought a mattress pad online because I came in store and they didn't have it. The associate shared that since I am a red card member I have 120 days to return it. So i went online to order and it came to my house. I recently bought a new house so going room by room to design. By the time I got to the room. It was 45+ days past the date. However, buying it on the premise that I can return within 120 days. I brought it back to the store to return. Sammie the manager said with mattress topper it's only 14 days return and I was outside of my return window. I shared with her my story she told me to call customer service and if they gave her the override she would approve it. She shared that she's leaving but that Amir the on coming manager would approve it. So I called and after 20 mins wait finally for customer care to approve with a Refernce number. I go up and talk to Amir. Amir didn't honor what Sammie said so I asked him to call Sammie on the phone. Another 20 mins wait and Amir comes back and said that Sammie said there was lost in translation and that I need to call customer service back for him to talk to them. So I do that, waited for 20 mins for customer service to wait to talk to Amir. Been waiting for 30 mins for Amir to come and he still hasn't come and now it's almost 2 hrs wait. This is unacceptable and this is the worst experience at Target. This location is horrible. read more

This review is well overdue. I've been going to this Target for years, well over two decades. In that time, they've remodeled a couple times and added new services that really make this a one stop shop for most daily needs. Service has always been pretty good. They generally keep the shelves well stocked. I'll excuse the current status of in stock items a phenomenon as every store in the US is dealing with the same thing, effects of Covid-19. On that note, this Target has pretty much everything and anything you need. As a parent, I've gotten science project materials, back to school materials, new school year outfits, snacks and lunch items here. I've gotten work supplies, office supplies things for the house (inside and out). And to top it all off, the store is open early and stays open late! Really no complaints about Target. I needed to take my elderly mother to the electronics department to retun her Consumer Cellular phone that was not working. The techs in that department, Mike, Ernie and especially Brogan were wonderful to us and helped us with replacing mother's phone and activating it for her. They were all very patient, kind and helpful. Brogan was extremely knowledgeable especially in comparison to Consumer Cellular's own customer service representatives and supervisors, who I can't reccommend at all. I found a product on the Target Encinitas website that I wanted to purchase. I love Target for the cleanliness of their store. The website gave me the in-store aisle number to locate the product. I walked into the store searching for aisle numbers and couldn't find any type of aisle markers. This made trying to find the product very difficult and I had a hard time looking for an associate to assist me. I'm not sure why the aisle number is published on their website if this information is not posted in the store. Well, I finally located the item in the store, but I wish it could have been easier with marked aisles. It would have saved me time and made my shopping experience better. I still love Target, but I hope they can improve their website and store information to make navigating the store a bit more streamlined. read more

Bought a Philips sonicare electric toothbrush today and realized once I got home that the case was previously opened and then taped closed with missing items, I paid 80$ for a used toothbrush. So went all the way back to return it to buy the same type just to find out that box was also taped. Grabbed a different toothbrush along with the one that was taped close and while I was at self check out, I had informed an employee about the problem and that this one was also taped closed. They had opened it to find used bristles with toothpaste on it. If I hadn't brought that to an employee somebody would have bought that just like I did. Absolutely disgusting. I let an employee know and all they did was say sorry and went about their day. Awful customer service awful that I had unknowingly bought a used toothbrush from TARGET. Disgusting they did nothing about it and I hope nobody else has to deal with this. Apparently you have to check for sealed boxes at target in case they sell used products. read more

Placed an online order, said it would be ready in two hours. Three hours later I called the store to see what was going on. No one is answering at all at customer service. I came to the store four hours after I placed it and they still hadn't processed my order. I had to go through the steps to request a refund and then pick everything else out off the shelves. Horrible service by young under whelming staff. They can just walk away and help someone else and leave you standing there. When you ask for their manager and they realize they did something wrong. They go in back and cry. The blond lady manager came out with security and asked me to leave and I was banned from the store without hearing my side of experience. The management is out of control backing such employee behavior when she stated that business was done when Ivy walked away mid conversation to wait on someone else to never return. Nice landscaping in the parking lot with many more trees left to beautify the grounds than you see at SD locations. Doors opened on time, line was short & orderly & we were first to get the console, which was quickly handed over by security personnel upon promptly presenting proof of purchase (alliteration bonus :) My partner kept scanning the premises for strapped 10 year olds on bikes given the console scarcity but I assured him "you're not in east New York anymore" so he chilled out & we were soon on our way home to continue our quarantine gaming extravaganza. read more

Target is a cool store with some great employees! The only exception is curbside pickup. It's a mess. In my 2 curbside experiences, the curbside pickup area was packed (cuz nobody was getting their orders fulfilled), and we all watched the employee do a slooooow walk back into the store to get a customer's items, then slooooowly walk back to curbside area. Wash rinse repeat. Total wait time: over 30 minutes. But wait there's more. In my first curbside experience, the employee put the wrong items into my trunk. Good thing I got out of my car to check my trunk before driving away. She had already marked her handled device as the order being fulfilled, and she didn't know how to update the order. .... Supervisor (super friendly!) came out and told me that my items were not in the curbside items holding area (they were lost/misplaced), and they had no other inventory in the store, so they'd have to give me a refund. Okay, a refund works for me. But I'd have to come into the store to swipe my Visa card. No thank you, as the purpose of Covid curbside pickup is to *not* go into a super-spreader area, right? (btw this store location is crowded) She told me that she can do the refund without my card, after a 24 hour wait period for the curbside order to fully process. I'd have to phone her tomorrow to get my refund done. Okay will do. The story gets thicker but I'll stop here, cuz you get the gist of it. Executive summary, curbside pickup is a mess. I'm still a loyal Target fan though... I love the sugar cookie latte but they were out of it. She said to try the cinnamon dolce latte cause it tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie and it is now my new favorite! Basically target as a store is good. But for so long wrong I have ran into a consistent problem, the food court. I started getting problems with this food court about 5 years ago. Basically every time I ate there I had gotten food poisoning. The food there has caused me to puke the next day. This kept happening a lot. Fast forward to 2023 they remodel the store, but they still have the same issues of puking after eating the food there. I don't know if the food is old? The employees don't wash their hands? In the old food court I think I saw someone without gloves on. The have pizza and popcorn, but what's the point if you end up puking after you eat it each time. The prices are okay. Overall target do better, as this could classified as a health code violation. read more

We went shopping at Target for Halloween related items and snacks, so many cute , useful stuff, we can also get some groceries. I been to this store many times, is well organized and clean, the only thing I will say need a bit more attention will be the women's clothing area, everything else is free of clutter and easy to navigate the isles. Employees are always helpful if you have any questions. Bathrooms are clean and there is a Starbucks store. Plenty of parking and easy to find the store. read more
