I am writing this review with great happiness. As a certified klutz, I have visited swift repairs a number of times over the years. Each time, they have delivered swift (as the name implies), high-quality, and honest service. As any repair shop is, prices aren't cheap, but I have found that you get what you pay for (and your devices can be something you shouldn't cheap out on.) Swift repairs deliver services with moderate pricing and great quality. I have also never had a problem with customer service. There is usually only one person working at a time, but that does not hinder me from a great experience. Yesterday, I went in to fix my phone that had water damage. I never asked him his name, but a young gentleman who had longer dark hair had helped me. He told me the pricing of a higher-quality screen versus an aftermarket screen, and what the w might be. As a consumer I greatly appreciate this honesty as I do not feel like I'm being charged and it further helps build my trust with swift repairs. He repaired my phone and literally less than two minutes, which to be fair. I'm sure my screen was an easy fix, but even when I have had more complicated damage, they have always made sure to prioritize and balance my order among plenty of others. My phone wasn't charging for the longest time and I didn't know what was wrong with it. I thought my phone was done for. I thought that I would have to pay Apple to fix it or get a new phone. I am incredibly disappointed with how this shop handles pricing and communication. I reached out on Yelp asking for a quote to replace the display on my MacBook Pro 14" (Model A2442). They explicitly gave me a flat price of $499 for a display replacement. Based entirely on that number, I took the time out of my day to drive down, drop off my machine, and pay a non-refundable $30 diagnostic fee. However, once they had my laptop completely disassembled on their workbench, the price suddenly jumped by $100 to a new quote of $599. When I questioned why the price changed from their written quote, they claimed that the initial $499 price was actually only for a "B-Grade" used screen with scuffs and scratches on the outer casing. If I wanted a normal-looking, flawless screen ("A-Grade"), I had to pay the higher premium. They had my exact model number from the very first text. Withholding information about different "grades" of used parts until a customer's laptop is already taken apart in your shop is a highly deceptive business practice. Had they been transparent upfront that a standard screen replacement would cost $599, I would have opted to go to the Apple Store instead of wasting my time and money here. I paid the $30 fee just to get my laptop put back together and returned to me. Go to Apple or a more transparent shop that honors their initial quotes. read more

Went in for a screen repair on an IPhone XR and got it back in less than 30 minutes. Service was excellent and everything was smooth. I had a disappointing experience with this repair center. Initially, they offered a reasonably attractive quote for MacBook repair, which included a non-refundable portion and a promise of a final quote after diagnosis. They claimed to be MacBook specialists, but it became clear they are more of a general phone and computer repair shop without a professional setup for Apple MacBooks. Despite our agreement, they did not provide a clear diagnosis or repair quote--only a data recovery estimate that was 25-40% higher than quotes I received from certified Apple partners in San Diego. I ultimately had my MacBook repaired by a professional who specializes in Apple hardware. Unfortunately, I lost both time and the non-refundable amount. Their communication felt more like a tactic to lure in customers rather than a genuine effort to help. If you need MacBook repairs, I strongly recommend going to a specialist who works exclusively with Apple devices and has access to Apple tools, chip serial number reprogramming and reconfiguration capabilities. This shop appeared to rely on board replacements and part swaps, which were priced higher than buying a new laptop. The drop-off and pickup experiences were unpleasant, and the overall attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. read more

This will be my last Yelp review of 2023. I will not be writing anymore Yelp reviews until next year. For me and my family's Christmas gifts, I purchased new iPhones. In order for all of us to get the full dollar amount for trading in our old iPhones, our old phones needed to work and they couldn't have major cracks or damages. 3 of the 4 phones met this criteria, but my son's phone was all jacked up. This was the result of my son not utilizing the phone cover we purchased for him. Due to my son's negligence, he was going to have to pay to repair the large crack on the back of his phone. Swift Repairs repaired my son's phone for a reasonable price, in an expeditious manner, and they provided quality customer service. Swift Repairs is located in North County San Diego area, specifically in the Carmel Mountain San Diego confines. To get to the cellphone repair shop, take the 15 freeway, exit off of Carmel Mountain Road, head west, and make a left on Penasquitos Drive. It's located within the outdoor shopping center that also contains 24 Hour Fitness, Jack in the Box, and Evans Tire. Swift Repairs is close to a 7-11, next to a dentist, and next to a spa. As you enter the store, it's clean, there's distressed laminate flooring on the ground, and they sell cellphone accessories. Before deciding to bring my son's cellphone to Swift Repairs, I called around to several cellphone repair shops in the surrounding areas. Swift Repairs provided the most reasonable estimate to repair the large crack on my son's phone. It cost us just under $130. When I called the shop, I really appreciated the friendliness of the employee on the phone call and his customer service. When I actually dropped off the phone, the person I spoke to was as friendly in person. I dropped off the phone on a Saturday and it was ready on the next day. Loved the expediency and their handiwork in repairing the phone. If you have a cellphone that needs to be repaired, I highly recommend you bring the phone to Swift Repairs. I went to plug my in on Thanksgiving morning so I could talk with my kids to charge, and the plug key getting pushed out and I could not charge the phone. Came in with a cracked screen and some LCD damage on my iPhone 11 and was told that it would only be about 25 minutes. In a bit of a boring area so I was forced to step inside of Floor and Decor to kill my 25 minutes. Came back and it ended up being about 30 minutes due to other customers coming in, but wasn't an issue at all. I already knew the issue, but they assured me the $30 would be a part of the cost repair cost so I didn't mind. A week later my laptop was returned to me with a fresh battery. Thanks for the help! Only complaint (-1 star). looks like they didn't use HP genuine parts. My laptop gives me a warning at the start up screen that a non genuine battery was detected.
