The Staples has been here for forever. I love that they have UPS available here and quick and easy Amazon drop offs. The service here is usually pretty good but the last couple of times they've been pretty short with staff. It's been a longer wait to return items. they always have pretty good deals going on and now that it's back to school for students... I'm sure they will get a great deal. read more

I returned to the store and, based on a recommendation from a store associate, exchanged it for a different charger. Unfortunately, the replacement charger was also defective. However, I was then told that I would only receive approximately half of the original purchase amount. I paid nearly $20 and was refunded only $9. This outcome is unacceptable. Coffee machines are junk. One was broken and jammed for over an hour, long line for the other one, on which I hit two sided copy, but it did not copy both sides absolutely ridiculous. Charged me almost 10 bucks for copies of 12 pages and I only got half the copies. Every other page was blank, which was supposed to be side two. Terrible service, clerk had no idea what the heck was going on and had no intention or inclination to fix the jammed copier either and make the line go down. read more

Buyers beware of next day delivery!!I purchased a desk chair for my 94 year old father. It was to be delivered the next day and it never came. I've come to the store several times and received help. It's a copy and print center. I simply email a PDF get a code bring it in and get it printed today was my worst experience ever in the copy and print center. It is Tuesday at 9:02 AM on December 12. I walked out so upset I didn't even get the gentleman's name. He said he was too busy to help me, there were no customers. He wanted to charge me an express fee and additional fee to print one page with the code that I had. This is ridiculous. I was looking at the office chairs and Young asked if I was doing okay and had any questions. I said I am not sure how to pick a chair and Young proceeded to break it down for me. If I could negative stars here, I would. This honestly may be on the most shady and slimy customer experiences I've ever had. I came in here about a week ago to get some AirPods - 3rd generation. They had a box along with options for the other AirPods that I could take up to the cashier and the manager could go get the desired AirPods from the back. Considering they had boxes for each generation of AirPods, I assumed they had them all in stock. I get in line and there's a gentleman in front of me yelling at the cashier- I think "chill out dude. If you got a problem it's probably not his fault." (And while my bad experience is not due to the cashier, coincidentally it was a sign of foreshadowing now that I look back at it.) The cashier calls the manager "Mike" over - asks him to get the AirPods from the back. He comes back with a set, I pay, and am on my way. When I get to my car I go to open up the box to make sure that the AirPods fit my ear right - I'm particular like that. I notice that I got the wrong set of AirPods - they gave me the AirPod Pros and rang me up for it. I said "No biggie, I'll just go in and return. Mistakes happen." I go back in, get back to the line, tell the cashier I wanted the 3rd Gen AirPods and not the Pros, and he says "So sorry about that" and does everything you can say in that situation right. He calls over the manager Mike again, explains I want the 3rd gen and not the AirPod Pros, and Mike goes back to the back with the Pros. This is where I am absolutely disgusted. He came back, with once again, NOT the 3rd Gen, but the first generation AirPods, and does NOT say a word about it. He's not even really looking at me, and I look down to see that yet again, it's still not the ones I wanted, so I said, "I'm sorry, but I wanted the 3rd gen, not the 1st gen." It's only AFTER that I acknowledge that does Mike look at me and say "Oh, you can take $80 off this purchase if you use the Staples app." ... Uh, that was not what I said. At. ALL. I then followed up AGAIN with, "Do you have the 3rd generation AirPods in stock?" in which Mike then replies "No, we don't." Now I'm pissed, because this has been a waste of 20 if not 30 minutes of my life if he had just said this from the beginning. So, I get a refund, walk out and drive home. Then, it REALLY hit me. Mike KNEW that they had no 3rd Generation AirPods in stock, even from the first time I walked in there, and instead of saying "Sorry we're out of stock," he instead brought out the more expensive set and did not say a word, and I don't doubt he probably was hoping that I wouldn't say anything or something and just go on my merry way. And I would think "oh maybe he didn't mean to" but I know for a fact he tried it again the second time and would have let it slide had I not said something to him when I was doing the exchange. Nope. I am 99.9% positive he knew what he was doing and that is absolutely pathetic. I hope the Staples management team sees this. I hope he gets some sort of consequence, because I will NEVER be stepping back into this store now because of him. I've worked in customer service in restaurants and retail - there's making mistakes when you don't know an answer, but a different kind of slimy scheming when something like this happens. 0/10 would recommend. (But I will say, if it hadn't been for this horrible experience I would have never gone up to the Apple Store in Escondido and gotten my 3rd Gen AirPods the same day for $50 cheaper than what they would have been at Staples.) ;) read more

Super friendly and helpful staff. I needed help on getting a special passport photo size. I already had a picture taken and the staff was kind enough to load me a flash drive to download the image and have their passport center use my downloaded image to print out the picture. They could have easily told me to go home or buy my own flash drive. They did not. They spent a couple minutes on their end trying to find one I could use for free. Secondly, I needed a special pen to sign my passport photo (it's a non-USA passport). You think they would tell me "try these" pens by having to purchase them first. Instead they pulled out a big box of pens and said I could try them out real quick. And since I only needed one they helped me find the smallest pack available. Super helpful. Anyways customer service was too good. Treat these employees well when you come in. ‍ Btw, their passport pricing is cheaper than the competition. At the very least it's noticeably cheaper than than all the pricing in Mira Mesa. They also do ALL size photos. Their machine did the correct size for Indian PAN cards!! read more

Giving 2 stars because I usually have a good experience at this location. The lady at the print services counter refused to print one page in thicker paper. That was it. One page, in color, just grab/load the paper for it and send it to the printer. Employee said that it would take 1-2 days and involve a rush fee. I've worked at staples print center; this job would've taken maybe 5 minutes max, and there was 1 other person waiting. I even had the release code for it ready to go. I was going to buy other supplies but I just walked out. Definitely it coming back to this location. read more

We went to this store since the Poway Staples off Scripps Poway Pkwy is now closed. This is a little bit more of a drive for us but parking was sufficient. The store was well kept, well lit and aisles were wide for easy passage. They stocked everything very well and they had great specials on certain office supplies. Signage made it easy to find back to school supplies quickly. We also bought a much needed multi switch router which was on sale. Staff was friendly and helpful. We even had store coupons to use from their rewards program. It's a great place to get all your cool office supplies. It's a great store that serves its purpose. read more
