iPhone had charging problem--contact with cable was sporadic, had to monkey around. I took it in and the guy said it might just need cleaning. Could he check I asked? He went to the back, came out 2 minutes later and charged me $30+. It just needed cleaning--just blow it out. I would have been happy to pay $30 if it took some work but it didn't. Now I need to get the battery of one of my laptops replace but I'm not going there. If the guy had come out after 2 minutes and said, hey, it just need a quick clean--free, or some nominal amount, that would have been fair and I'd have taken my computer to them for battery replacement. Charging port was not working reliably. I checked with several cell phone repair places and was quoted $125+ to replace the port. Fix 4 Less offered $125 to replace the port but said it might just need to be cleaned ($65). I took it in and was out of there in 10 minutes after cleaning. Charger works great and the owner recommended I get some silicon charger port dust plugs from Amazon to prevent this from happening again. Great service and great advice. Thanks read more

My iPhone 12 Pro was shattered entirely across the screen but the phone was still working and making notification sounds and what not. So I took it in to this place and I ended up paying a total of $175 for the lcd to be replaced (even though online it quoted me for $105 in which I paid $65 online and then it said pay the remaining $40 in person after the repair). But then I come in and he says "oh no it's $125 for new lcd but for $150 I can do a higher quality OLED screen" I could've swore I told him I just wanted the new lcd for $125 but then he threw extra fees and charges in there for some reason. Sorry bro, I love your dog Marcel but this is a pretty huge disappointment overall. I will not be returning So that was a little misleading, especially when I just had my water damage on the same phone fixed for $35 cheaper at the booth in Fashion Valley for $140. and to be honest? my phone is a little glitchy now. The replacement screen is definitely one of the cheap kind because every time I place my phone on my wireless charger, I can't use it and the lcd freaks out and won't stop changing random pages until I take it off. Do not bring your phone for repair here. I had scratched the lower left corner of my iPhone 14 pro so I took it here for cosmetic repair to replace the screen. My phone was functioning perfectly fine, so the only reason I was choosing to take it in was for cosmetic repair. I took my phone in and paid $270 in cash to pay for the cost of the screen, including also a glass screen cover. After the screen was repaired I began to notice issues with the phone; issues included that randomly overnight my screen would light up and appear mostly black (shown in picture attached), if I was on a phone call and attempted to hang up my phone would just remain black and not light up, and my phone not lighting up when I had notifications. I contacted the business and informed them of the issues and they replaced the screen again, but were unable to identify the source of the issues and were hopeful that replacing the screen again would resolve things. After replacing the screen again, my phone still did not light up with notifications, so the staff recommended I update my phone. I took my phone home and updated it, however the issues didn't resolve. I then took my phone in to the Apple Genius Bar to diagnosis the issue and they informed me that the ambient light sensor was not functioning due to the screen repair. I took my phone immediately back to Fix 4 less and informed them of the Apple diagnosis and also that now the front screen camera was also now not working (front camera was blurry). Fix 4 less staff informed me he was unsure how to resolve the issue with the ambient light sensor, but could fix the front facing camera as the screen was obstructing the lens during the application process after the screen was replaced a second time by Fix 4 less. The camera continued to not work within hours again, and the issues all persisted with my phone, prompting me to then reach out to the manager who only offer 50% cash back and the remainder in store credit. I explained that I could not trust them to resolve the issue and did not intend to return, and would have to pursue purchase of a new phone. I continued to reach out to the company and they began to ignore me, prompting me to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They then offered me a full refund ONLY IF I brought my phone in to give back the screen and then place a NON FUNCTIONAL TEMPORARY screen. I ultimately was forced to settle for 50% cash refund and had to purchase a new phone. They were extremely difficult and unreasonable. I would never trust them with any devise and they are terrible with problem solving. I'm sure the owner will comment on this so I've included screen shots of correspondence to back my experience. *Edit after owner has not responded to my post: He claims they offered to put on my old screen which is not accurate. They informed me my old screen had been discarded in the trash and only offered to replace with non functioning temporary screen as reflected in the messages. read more

So my old galaxy S9's screen replacement started dying. Instead of going for a 3rd screen, I decided it was time to upgrade after 4 plus years on the S9. I decided to go with an Amazon renewed S22. I was very happy to get the phone, and as soon as I got it I attempted to remove the sim card tray with the included removal tool. Unfortunately, I had put the tool in the wrong hole and ended up breaking off a good size piece of metal into the microphone hole on the bottom of the phone! I was very dismayed at the situation I was in now. I searched on Yelp and found Fix 4 less and then called them to explain my situation. They said to come on down and they will see what they can do. First off, they have a small parking lot which is a huge bonus in the area they are located in. Chino greeted me and he inspected the phone. He told me they would have to take it apart but there would be a risk of damaging the speaker hole in the process of trying to remove the metal piece. I appreciated the fact that he was honest about the risk involved. I decided to go ahead with it; and he asked me to come back in 45 minutes. So I went home and came back in exactly 45 minutes. He brought out my phone and also showed me the metal piece which he was able to successfully remove. He had me test out the microphone and it worked great. I paid, and was off on my way. Chino provided excellent service and he did a great job fixing my issue. I would recommend him for repairs and would come back if I ever needed additional service. read more

An error in service parts was promptly corrected and they went above and beyond correcting it. Don't come here if you have an android. They will destroy it beyond repair and you'll have to buy a new one. I had a cracked screen. It wasn't that bad, just annoying. I left with a phone that rattled!?, a new touch screen that didn't work, my phone randomly shutting off and freezing, a fingerprint sensor that was broken, and within two days lines appeared on the screen. I took it to best buy geek squad for a second opinion (which they wrote out) for my credit card company. I was told that parts were disconnected and that I was essentially screwed (my term) abs I should get my money back, they couldn't fix it, I would have to get a new phone. If best buy can't fix it... So out a new phone for a cracked screen. read more

In response to the comment, NO. Thats an actual lie. It was charging when I brought it in and I said that plain as day. Just could no longer fast charge. And you handed me back a phone that could still no longer fast charge. I agreed and paid because I was late for an appointment and could not afford to argue with you about the fact that you fixed nothing. I needed my phone to get an expected call, as I had told you. The moisture alerts started day of the fast charging stopping. So either way, you did not diagnose the problem correctly and my phone no longer charges with cables at all despite that I just spent 80 bucks at your store to get the charging port fixed. Feeling so scammed. I brought my phone in yesterday because I was having issues with the charging port. Phone is no longer fast charging, charging wiggles a bit in the port, keep getting moisture alerts. The guy took my phone, told me it would be 75. I came back 10 mins later and he says its all good. Plugged it in and said that is was fine and just not registering as fast charge, even though it was. I figured he cleaned it, or made some adjustment. He then charged me 80 bucks. Guess what? He did NOTHING to my phone. The inside still looks dirty. Nothing has been altered or repaired. He just took it to the back, plugged it in, and came out and told me its all good. Its still much looser in the port than when i got it, still wont fast charge, still constant moisture alerts. Here I am, a day later. And the problems have gotten worse. Phone wont charge at all in most chargers. Constant moisture alerts. Still loose port. And now I am out 80 bucks and have to take my phone to someone that actually will help me and not rip me off for doing nothing. Even if there were no issues with my phone, and I was mistaken for bringing it in, charging me the full price of a charge port repair is nuts. Its one thing to misdiagnose and tell me the phone is totally fine when its not, but if youre not doing ANYTHING, you shouldnt be charging me for a full repair. Plus, your diagnosis was wrong, the problem was worse, and plans I had for tonight are ruined because my phone is dead and wont charge. TLDR Stay away unless you want to get scammed. read more

I cracked my iPhone screen and found this place on Groupon for the best deal. It was under $50 here and elsewhere the going rate was around $65-75. When I arrived I wasn't sure it was the correct place as the name had recently changed. I walked in and had to ring a buzzer to get the guy to come up front. And it took at least 2-3 minutes for him to come. I explained about the Groupon I had, and he mentioned that I would have to pay cash but he would honor the same price. Weird because if I didn't have the Groupon it would have been like $75. I just needed to show it to him. But then I was stuck with the issue of trading in the Groupon for credit to use on something else. Also had to make a trip to my bank which happened to be across the street, luckily. He told me it would take about 45 minutes to fix. So I went to the bank, then walked over to City Tacos for a couple tacos and a beer while waiting. This is the beauty of North Park. Everything is nearby. So when I went back he had my phone ready, I paid the $46.50 and I was on my merry way. The only issue I have is the screen seems a little less sensitive in the bottom right corner, but hardly causes an issue. Aftermarket parts I suppose. Still, way cheaper than the Apple Store and I can live with this! read more

I came to this establishment for a screen replacement. The person I spoke with on the phone was very nice and informative (he sounded Middle Eastern, dont remember his name). I opted to leave my phone for a screen replacement the next day. I paid overnight shipping for the after market screen with a cost of $200 plus the overnight shipping cost. I was told the phone would be ready on Thursday and it was. Unfortunately that same day I called a few times to get an update and no one answered the phone until past 4pm. The first day I received the phone, I began to notice a few instances of freezing far and in between. This continued throughout the week but I didn't want to jump on it so I waited it out and restarted it a few times. Finally, 5 days after I had picked up my phone, the screen froze so much it was impossible to do anything with it, this lasted for 5 hours. If I typed 2 letters it would freeze and I had to exit out and exit in again to type again, so every 3-5 seconds I had to do this, even with scrolling, typing, anything. So I took the phone back for a diagnoses. This is of course inconvenient because in the first place we opt for these services to not have to deal with this again. When I called to confirm the diagnoses was complete the Middle Eastern guy answered saying that he thoroughly inspected every part of the phone and everything seemed fine. I of course expressed my concern and asked what the process was if this happened again as it was very inconvenient and I didn't want to be going back and forth again and again. Well, this guy got offended by this remark and he then proceeded to speak over me and to tell me that if it happened again no other diagnoses would be needed, that I could just drop it off and they would take care of it. He could have perfectly stopped there and left an average customer service impression on me, but no, he then proceeds to say that it's not convenient for him to do hours of free labor and that it's not his fault that it's the parts manufacture fault. I mean what? These are the risks associated with this type of business and it is the business owner who chooses who it buys parts from. Trying to wash your hands of responsibility and talking about free labor to a customer who paid over $200 and has already been back and forth 6 times is really not wise. I then shared that my sister had left her phone a few months back and the same thing happened to her (true story) yet I opted to still use their services giving them the benefit of doubt and also because they were closebye. Unfortunately this experience doesn't end here. After I spoke to this guy, I went to pick up the phone. The phone was fine until about 5pm, it then froze again and it wouldn't even identify the commands, no clicking, no vibration, nothing. I took the opportunity to take a video with a sparce old phone I had, I then emailed said video to the tech guy. Frustratingly, the screen remained frozen for the better part of 5 hours for the second consecutive day. I called them the next day and Kevin answered, he apologized for the inconvenience and informed me a new screen would be ordered but it might take a few days to arrive. Although this is not ideal, I had no choice. Kevin communicated well and informed me when the new screen arrived so I could take my phone. Its been a few weeks and thankfully after the second screen replacement I have had no issues. Long story short, they do own up to any issues and make an effort to make things right but with an attitude depending on which guy you get that day. Also, their parts manufacture has defective screens since this happened to both myself and my sister. There is no reason a customer has to go back and forth more than 6 times and make a 1-2 day ordeal into weeks to get a proper screen replacement and then have to deal with a phone that cant even be used for this reason and on top of that with rudeness, it's very much unacceptable. My advise, save yourself the time and headache and go somewhere else. It's really not worth it to give your money to this place. read more
