Brought my laptop in because the screen went black and made a beeping sound when turned on. Chris said it might be the ram needing to be cleaned. He quoted me $30 to open it and clean the part with no guarantee it would start, I agreed. I came back and my laptop was working which was great but he then charged me $50 because it worked. At no point was I told pricing varied on whether the cleaning would restart the machine. I know it's not a large amount but the point is that transparency is important in business. I would have been happy to pay $50 if that was the original quote, but it wasn't. read more

Found this spot using YELP. read the reviews before hand, did my research on other spots as well and this one had the best overall positive feedback, and decided to give them a try. I needed to replace my dads first generation iPad pro screen that was cracked. I was informed that it wouldn't be an easy job but because of the screen is súper fragile. But none the less I had already done the toughest part in taking off the screen myself. Lol. A new screen was ordered and within the next day it was in. I received a call that the iPad Touch ID was damaged, they also fixed it. The iPad came back to us as good as new. I had my 6S plus for five years & the glass never broke. I had this 10 XS max for a week and it broke. So I finally call up these guys and they answered the phone right away. You're close by so I go there and they repair it within 30 minutes. But it cost $263! Do not break your phone glass! I felt like I was going to like slice my fingers open on this glass so I didn't feel like I had a choice. Priscilla helped me and was awesome in getting the phone and the tempered glass both done in 30 minutes. She was totally awesome. *OoH my 100th review!* I have owned around six cell phones in the past dozen-plus years, and the last three have been iPhones. Until this past Saturday, I had never damaged or broken any of my phones (I used them all until the batteries crapped out). That said, I was busy texting when the images on the screen froze, then the screen showed a black and white striped pattern, and also a red plaid one. Um, what? Where's my pretty purple/pink gradient wallpaper?! I couldn't even turn off my phone, so I asked Siri for help. She said I needed to restart it by myself haha. I thought to wait until the battery died to try to turn it on, but I realized how many of my daily activities depend on my phone. I Yelped "iPhone repair" from my computer and started researching the results. Several in Oceanside and Vista didn't list email addresses, and others had difficult websites to navigate. My iFix was the sixth business listed, a bit far from me, but I noticed it said "Fast Responder". I sent an email and got a reply within 7 minutes! The owner and I corresponded back and forth a bit before I was told to come on down, and that his business was open until 6pm. My iFix is located in the shopping plaza with Walmart and REI, at the end of a strip mall. It's actually a little hut-looking building that shares space with a Bank of America ATM. It turns out the LCD screen was broken. The owner asked if I dropped it, or if [my FatAss] sat on it. I'm totally paraphrasing the conversation since the implications were hilarious to me... but I am not a phone/pocket person and I have yet to drop it. Not sure how I broke it, but he fixed it in half an hour! Super, super cool. Lastly, I'm not one to bargain or comparison shop. When I really want something, I just get it. I'm not sure if 200$ is the average screen repair cost, but I'm happy that I was able to get it done so fast. P.S.- While I honestly hope this will be my only check-in to this business, I most definitely do recommend it to other Apple product owners. Got a cracked screen on an iPad 9th gen repaired at Myifix. The new screen is fine and working, but touchId can no longer be activated. They then tell me that it must have been broken before I gave it to them. It was not since I use it a lot with 1Password and to unlock the iPad (ie just fine before I reset the device before leaving it with them (since it had financial data etc..). Anyways I am pretty sure the engineer messed this up, but not worth the time arguing and in the end it is probably not fixable now. ps: Also not cheap at $150. read more

These guys are fantastic! I thought it was just my iphone screen protector that was finally completely pulverized, but turned out it was a totally cracked screen. They had my iphone fixed in minutes. They also were able to restore the function of my home button which had ceased working following a brief swim a couple of months earlier. It's like I have a new phone! I only wish I had known about and consulted My iFix after my ipad touch screen developed wavy lines....perhaps they could have helped me avoid all of the hassle that resulted from taking Genius advice at the local Apple store which threatened to keep me, my ipad and my AppleID hostage for for a week. Excellent service! We went in with a very broken iPhone screen and lcd on a Friday evening. The phone fell off the roof of the car going about 45 mph and somehow was not run over, but the screen was obliterated. These guys were able to replace the screen with a high quality eom screen in about 15 minutes. They stayed open late for us to get it done on a Friday night. They also checked our batteries and gave us useful tips. Way less expensive and faster than apple, plus uses guaranteed apple products. I have brought cracked or scratched phones here and they do an excellent job with reasonable prices. I recently brought in my MacBook with an unclear battery:motherboard issues and they completely fumbled the job. It took weeks to finish with a variety of different excuses for the delays. They tried to give it back to me - this time with an obvious dent where it had been dropped - and I flipped out. They then had their third party tech finally fix it and didn't charge me, but the real issue was the total lack of communication. I had to keep calling them and they sounded generally annoyed AT ME for asking what the problem was and when it might be done. I think these guys are great for smaller jobs but be wary of bigger issues. read more
