You do your customers a massive disservice. Treat it exactly like a car: 1. I Drop off car/product 2. YOU Fix 3. YOU Call me to come get it. Inefficient and backwards. Hours-long waits instead of just dropping off your product. Apple makes top tier products but their CS and this whole process is an abysmal failure. Jobs rolling in his grave. Very inattentive staff. This review is entirely in regard to the fact that the products sold here are lower in cost on Amazon than at the actual store. We were going to go down today to buy an iPad but we see it is $40 less from Amazon so why would we make the journey to a store to pay more money? I think it's a bummer for these brick-and-mortar businesses that have to pay more overhead to lose business to Amazon that does not, but such as life. I'm glad I did because this place was packed, even on a Tuesday and from what the staff said, it's always busy. I was able to get my beats sent out with the staff's assistance, since it's under warranty. Love their service. I should receive it within 5 business days at no additional cost. read more

Just received great service from this Apple Store. I had heard that they had long waits and that the customer service was terrible. That couldn't have been further from the truth. The guy that helped me was super knowledgeable, he helped me understand what plan I was on with my carrier and what my options were for getting a new IPhone. He didn't try to upsell me nor did he put down any of the other carriers. He was just factual, gave me my options, and even told me to hold off on a decision till I did some more investigating. I left without a purchase but they are definitely my top choice if all options are equal. Good experience with this store. read more

I really dislike rating it this way, but i need to be honest. While they did repair my iPhone by changing the battery, most of the staff was not the friendliest and short at times. I did have an appointment and still had to wait 5 hours to get my battery changed, plus they way i was explained the process was rudely by Francisco, he had no patience nor did he deliver the wait time very kindly. This was my first time going to any Genius bar...so I had no clue. On the positive side, when i did go pick up my phone I did interact with an amazing technician at the Learning Table center and his name was Carlos. Every time I walk into this store 90% of the employees they are clueless when asking questions about my I Phone 16 and they tell me am better off making appt with a genius specialist or call apple support with help. all they want to do is sell you new products but are unable to help out with simple questions when coming into the store. this has been going on way to long and this store needs a lot of help and guidance. read more

I came in here needing my device factory reset I forgot my recovery key and could not log into my iCloud to get it reset The store told me they could erase data but my iCloud would still be attached to the phone until I was able to reset my apple id They told me theres nothing else they can do for me in store and I'd have to submit an online request They gave me a phone number I called it 3 times yesterday and explained my situation, this morning I wake up to my device factory reset. Moral of the story Don't go into the store unless you gotta buy something from them (switch to google/samsung) Cause how is it a call center employee in India can wipe my phone over night without me ever resetting my iCloud or anything but the store employees down the street from my house have 0 power??? I just made the big switch from Windows 10 to a brand new 2025 Mac-Mini M4 ($799), accompanied by a 27" Studio Display monitor ($1,700). To my great dismay, the ultra expensive Studio Display did not operate out-of-the-box because the all-important CONTRAST SLIDER adjustment was completely inoperative. This essentially nukes the monitor's raison d'être! Accepting anything other than a brand new replacement at this point and allowing them to break into my device for a repair would be tantamount to me paying the full price for a "refurbished" unit, because it was clearly compromised before I ever touched it. The folks at the Carlsbad Apple Store quite smugly went full Communist on me. They completely disregarded any semblance of reasonableness relative to basic customer satisfaction for a materially defective item out-of-the-box. They also summarily dismissed the seven hours I was on the phone in the prior week, building a formal case with Apple Corporate Senior Advisors and the Apple Engineering Department, refusing to even take the case number! Is this the way to treat a good faith customer? Instead, their condescending and arrogant edict was delivered in true Soviet-style in no uncertain terms: "We don't ever replace a brand new item out-of-the-box, you need to bring it in here where will will fix or repair the brand new out-of-the box $1,700 Studio Display, and you will be without a functioning computer for 14-days because that's our repair back-log time." No further discussion. The female store manager was beginning to walk away from me before she even uttered the last word. Yikes, how insulting! These people want ME to bear the full burden of some Apple manufacturing irregularity instead of simply donning their Big Boy Pants and giving me a brand new replacement! Welcome to the Land of Apple Comrades, circa 2026! They believe in winning mere battles, eschewing any thoughts about the inevitability of losing the long-term war. The manager kept repeating the same rhetoric to me over and over; he would look around the room while I spoke with him. There were no smiles, no appreciation with a thank you. Brought my laptop here for battery repair took days for them to order the battery, then to start the process it took eleven days for them to even start working on it. I bet it would have taken even longer if I haven't been bugging support just to give me a simple update. Visited the Apple Store on Saturday and despite several Apple workers standing around I was told to make an appointment. I told the sales rep that I had a question regarding my earbuds. Nope have to make an appointment. So I adjusted my schedule and arrived a little earlier than my time, I was told to wait at the tables. I noticed this one guy with a crushed phone was able to walk up and receive immediate attention, wtf! Well someone came over and one minute later told me that my ear buds are older and it would be $138 to replace, wow why couldn't they have said that on Saturday instead of having to reschedule my day to come all the way to their store to have someone tell me that they are vintage, total waste of my time. Was thinking of getting a new iPad but after this shot show I probably go with another brand. read more

Last Sunday, I visited the Apple Store at The Forum in Carlsbad, CA. My daughter had set up most of my new phone, but we hit a snag and couldn't download all my contacts from my old phone. After trying everything, we went to the store for help. A young woman there listened carefully and immediately set to work. What seemed like an easy fix turned out to be more complicated, but she patiently tried multiple solutions until she discovered what was blocking the download and resolved it. I was so impressed -- not just by her skill and knowledge, but by her patience and genuine willingness to help. Once the contacts were fixed, she even helped us erase everything from our old phones so we could turn them in that same morning. It's rare these days to find customer service that is this skillful, efficient, and kind. I wish I had asked her name -- I only realized I hadn't as I was driving away. I hope the Apple Store at The Forum continues to hire and recognize employees like her. They are truly an asset. read more

My story is a two day journey to an Apple store and beyond. First day - I was pretty quick dismissed by techie to get a call from Apple support. My call arrived at the appropriate time, lady with a heavy Indian accent (I'm curious -where is the call center located?) spoke with me maybe for 2 minutes and then she disappeared. I was waiting like for 10 minutes on my land line phone and just hang up. So, day two and I'm back at the store, now I'm insisting that somebody will help me at the store. I was assigned to Genius Bar specialist with a time slot. He worked for a long time on my Facetime problem (I learned some stuff), at the end we realized that the problem was on another user of the Facetime end. Steve, he was really a pro. Very disappointed with the service experience I've been a loyal Apple customer for years and have bought many of their products throughout my life. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this store was incredibly frustrating. I came in on June 10th of June to get the battery in my iPhone replaced. The wait time that day was too long, so I scheduled an appointment for the next day at 6:30 PM. I live about 25 minutes away, but I showed up right on time. After running diagnostics, I was told they needed to check if the battery was even in stock. That already didn't make sense. My appointment was clearly booked for a battery replacement, so why wasn't that confirmed ahead of time? Then I was told they did have the battery, but there wasn't enough time to actually replace it during my scheduled appointment. Instead, they asked me to come back again the next day and leave the phone overnight. That would've meant a third trip just to get a basic battery replacement done. Why schedule a repair appointment so late in the day if there's not enough time to actually do the repair? This shows a real lack of coordination between the people booking the appointments and the service team. Especially considering they knew in advance what the appointment was for. I spoke with the store manager, Ashley, hoping to sort things out, but unfortunately she couldn't do much to help. This experience was way below what I expect from Apple. Went to get locked iPhone reset; after over an hour working with the employees, who constantly left and didn't inform anyone else of the situation, I was asked to leave. They factory reset my phone and failed to unlock it. Ended up getting the problem solved in 5 minutes by a random fix it stop n shop. Do not use apples services the employees are only trained on how to up sell you, not efficient fixes and repairs. read more

I always have the best experience at this store. I do not understand the low reviews by other customers in this store. This is one of the busiest retail stores still thriving in a world that's gone mostly online. These people are harassed threatened and degraded day after day. And they still show up every day to fix your devices and sell you new products. Your lack of preparation or planning isn't their fault. Be kinder and maybe you'll get better service. This review is on my cell phone conversation only earlier this morning with an Apple Store employee her name is Julia. I talked to Julia and I told her I had set up an appointment with Kenneth their Senior Advisor who works for the call center for yesterday on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:50 p. m. My appointment was set up for me because my Apple IPhone XR would not hold a charge when I plugged in the original USB Charging Cable to the wall outlet for the past two days. These dates were on (Sunday, April 23 through Monday, April 24, 2023). I told Julia I was not able to attend my 1:50 p. m. appointment date and time yesterday due to I had their directions written down on two sheets of paper which was inside my car. I took the freeway and got off of exit 44 to La Costa Avenue and then I had been given the wrong directions on the internet. I always use the Google Maps turn by turn directions with the voice activated system and it helps me to get to any business place on time. Since my Apple IPhone XR Battery was completely out and the screen was black for the past 2 days I wasn't able to use this GPS System on Google Maps and I was not able to find their Apple Store location yesterday. Julia asked me today, if my issue was resolved regarding my Apple IPhone XR not being able to be charged for these past 2 days? I said Yes because I drove over to my local Walmart Supercenter Store and I had (Raul this Walmart Associate and Benjamin this Cell Phone Sales Rep.) person who is an independent contractor give me a FREE Diagnosis to confirm my idea that I already told both Raul and Benjamin that the original USB Charging Cable I used that came in the Apple IPhone XR box was broken at the cable cord and it was not holding a full charge to my cell phone. I just needed to buy a new USB Charging Cable and my Apple IPhone XR be fixed in me having full access to all my apps. I was only charged for one Anker USB-A Lightening Charging Cable Cord. The price was $14.97. I also paid the $2.00 to Raul for an (extended warranty) on ANKER USB-A Charging Lightening Cable Cord. So if my cable broke during this time period, it will be replaced with a FREE One USB-A Lightening Cable Cord. On the Apple Store website I noticed their prices are much higher and the price was $19.00. It is an increase of $4.00 more, I would have to pay the Apple Store if I ordered this cable cord on their website. Julia said the USB-A Charging Lightening Cable Cord only has a (one year warranty) on it and this warranty has already expired since my Apple IPhone XR is 3.5 years old now. Julia said I would have to order their new USB-A Charging Lightening Cable on their Apple Store website. I have read more than 50% of these Apple Store Reviews on this Yelp Review website are all (one star reviews) on their really poor customer service and all of their employees have no knowledge of their Apple IPhones, Apple Watches, IPad's and their Laptop Computers this Apple Store sells in their store. None of their people can help anyone resolve their customers issues that they are having with their Apple Products. I believe all of their customers reviews are warranted now. I asked Julia how long she has worked for this Apple Store? Julia said she has worked for this Apple Store for 4 years now. Then I asked Julia has she attended a college and graduated with a degree in Computer Science? Julia told me NO she has not. But Julia said she grew up around using this computer technology and she has learned about IPhones and their other Apple Products as she goes step by step. I realized when I talked to Julia today she doesn't have a real technical background from having a college degree in computer science. For myself, I went to a community college for 2 years and I graduated in the Computer Science Field. I can resolve my own Hardware Issues on my IPhone XR and also on my Desktop Computer at my home. Afterwards, I learned by our conversation this morning Julia told me that I should make an appointment with their call center when I can to bring in my Apple IPhone XR so someone from their Genius Bar can replace my Battery. I asked Julia to give me the full Battery Price. Julia said she doesn't know the price. I said the price is $89.00 on their website. Their labor is going to be more expensive for this Battery installation. I asked Julia to give me a rough estimate on the total cost. Julia would not tell me the exact total cost of this Battery Replacement Service. Julia said the Battery Replacement Cost is going to change due to other issues that will come up. I decided I am NOT going to do any business with this Apple Store. It seems to me this Apple Store just cares about their Profits not their customers I read their really bad reviews on Yelp in the way their regular customers have been mistreated by their employees who have been given really (poor customer service) and have no Knowledge of their Apple Computer Products. Experience was average at best! Apple store experience really gone downhill in the last few years. Came here to purchase an apple iPhone and was told I can trade in my old phone for $180. I traded it in but the transfer of the data on old phone to new phone took forever, so I took my old phone home to finish the data transfer. The very next day I went back to do the trade in transaction and was told that the trade in value went down to $160. Wow, what a scam. Within a day they scammed me out of $20. The phone was in exactly the same condition (mint condition) since I had an indestructible otter box on it. I ended up having to work thru their corporate customer service for another hour to straighten this out. For half an hour they refused to honor the price from day before. Service is very slow at this location and there's always a long wait. read more

If zero stars were an option they would get zero stars. The employee first brought out the wrong phone and migrated my phone service to it. When I pointed out it was the wrong phone he was like "oh my bad," and then tried to migrate my service to the right phone which flagged my provider's fraud department. Because he couldn't understand why the phone service wouldn't work on the correct phone. I waited on the phone with my provider's customer support for an hour in the store. The employee dad-splained to me how it couldn't have possibly been their fault that the phone service wasn't working. They then said my best bet would be to go see my provider. My provider tried to bypass the issue by manually resetting my ESIM, which required me to wipe the phone and all my contacts. After two more hours they finally said hey, Apple really screwed you and also it was absolutely their fault, you need to find a way to call the fraud department, it's going to take a long time. So I go right back to Apple, they basically threw their hands up in a shrug and said "oops." So here I am 7 hours from the start of this absolute bungling. They made zero effort to give me recompense, no "we got you flagged for fraud, how can we make this up to you, would you like a gift card or a discount on your phone", really didn't show any desire to own this, off loaded the responsibility of fixing first to my provider and then to me. I've been using apple for years and never had an experience this absurd. These people really are amateurs. I will actively be discouraging people from going to this store. read more
