AVOID-DO NOT GO HERE! They BS you about trying to help you and take up your time. They refer you to the manager, but he's never there, when you go back at the time they tell you he arrives and ask for the manager, the manager is always busy in a so called meeting and never comes out. They give you any excuse not to be able to speak to the manager to address any issue. They get your information and promised the manager will contact you to address your problem, but they never call you back!!!! AT&T needs to investigate this store. There's something fishy going on with their employees. They try not to fix issues, so you can purchase a new phone, then they add extra lines, do not cancel phones lines when you point out they made an error on their part. So then what, you end up paying for more telephone lines and you bill goes up- forget it! STAY away, call their corporate office and file a complaint on this location!!! read more

I went into the store to drop off a trade-in phone, using a conf number provided by AT&T (phone). Staff in the store gave me different info than that given by AT&T Customer Service, proceeded to Shelby. They were right AT&T customer service was wrong. They then told me that they were not actually AT&T staff, but rather the store is an authorized retailer so they took no responsibility for what I had been said by AT&T personnel. Horrible customer service. An acknowledgement at the very least when entering the store would be nice. They do not offer appointments and do not staff appropriately to handle their clientele. Additionally when you do finally get assistance, your customer service representative will go help other clients when they think they have a bit of free time (ie your phone is updating or transferring info - all the while you are waiting for them to come back to help you. I was there for over two hours just to get my phone case replaced that was under warranty from AT&T. Very disappointed. I would jump at the chance to give negative stars if I could. read more

Yes, it was time. Old phones and a good deal from our long time carrier AT&T. As much as i dreaded the process, in I went. Pretty open store by Walmart so easy parking. Not too busy, so sat down with bossman Joe who started telling me the deals. I had to ask Deb which color she wanted and Joe took another customer....hmmmm. And then Mel walked over the process and smiles started. She said we can help with this, how bout this discount? Stop! Go to a different store! Attempted to buy an iPhone 16pro and they tried to swindle me into a bundle, to close my current account and open a new one, and they lied to to AT&T call center when they asked if the store worker was calling from a store! The call center told me to stop any transaction and leave the store. Then.... Went to this store to get a replacement glass for my phone, and they told me I don't have the lifetime warranty coverage- even though they can clearly see I did, I can clearly see I did, AND we all can see this was not my first time getting a replacement glass. AND.... The other staff (who were not helping anyone) were slouching in their chairs, playing on their phones, falling asleep. Not one smile or acknowledgement. AT&T is a scam -- avoid the Encinitas store like the plague. The rep there didn't know how to port my number and screwed up my account by adding a second line I never wanted. AT&T's "solution"? Force me to buy out the phone upfront and erase the deal I signed up for. Six months later, their disaster of a billing department still hit me with a $400 bill for the same phone I'd already paid off. Coverage? Pathetic -- I could barely make calls with 1-2 bars. When I went back to the store, the associate literally shrugged and said, "What do you want me to do about it?" The Encinitas store associates are useless and should all find new day jobs. Today was the final straw. I walked into Verizon, switched instantly, and had full bars right away. AT&T's "fix" was sending me a Visa gift card for their screw-up. What a joke. I had a similar experience to others that have left reviews regarding "upgrades" and misleading sales people. I went to the store to trade my old phone in for a new and was informed that I could do so for no cost besides tax on the new phone. This involved adding a new phone line which I will admit was confusing, although was reassured, "You're lucky. This promotion is ending in three days." I did not have any reason to believe this wasn't true. Long story short, this whole situation has cost me $300-400 (not just tax on the new phone), hours lost leaving voicemails at the store, going to the store, calling ATT and being told that there was no such promotion, and ultimately talking to the manager who essentially accused me of not understanding what I had been told. There were no apologies and/or offers to resolve in any way. I would recommend choosing an alternate AT&T store and avoiding the headache. read more

I went in to get a phone to replace an Apple Watch and was told I couldn't keep the same number. I called AT&T and they said I could - but when I went back to the store they said it wasn't possible. And- refused to call the main line. I called AT&T again and had to do it over the phone and get a new phone shipped. It IS easy to do. read more

If you're unfortunate enough to purchase any product or service from AT&T, check your bills every few months. AT&T is absolutely legendarily terrible in all regards. They provide inferior products and lackluster services, backed by the shadiest team of executives on Earth---and they can and will charge you for fake nonsense if they can get away with it. I found $120 in B.S. charges I never authorized on my account. Per AT&T, some technician said I requested a Wi-Fi extender installed, which never happened, nor did I ever receive the actual equipment for the fake service. AT&T has a fast-talking sales rep call you and rush through a script offering something for "free," and at that time, they tack on the erroneous fees. After 45 minutes on the phone and getting heated with two of their representatives, they finally reversed the charges, canceled the service and equipment I never received, and lowered my payment. All I had to do was threaten to sue them. Lol. I'm canceling all of my AT&T services as soon as the credit is back on my account. What a bunch of losers. read more

Terrible customer service. My husband and son were working with a sales person. The guy was drawing up paperwork and disappeared for 25 minutes. Never came back!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JACK! He was condescending, unprofessional, and did not help me/my family at all. My 70+ year old mother called me in tears because this kid was such a bully. When I called to speak to the manager, JACK intercepted the call (while chewing food) and told me there was no manager on duty to speak to me. Would not provide a time I could call back to reach a manager and literally said "you can keep trying to call until one is here to speak to you". As someone who works in customer service, I am blown away at the low standard of this place and by the 3 other 1 star reviews this month, I can see I am not the only one. What a waste of my time. Will go to apple next time. Went in to get a new phone and they gave me one, left paying the taxes and all that. Then 5 days later they call me and say the payment didn't go through that i have to go back in person and they need to run my card again. All of this is their fault. Then i go back in and have to wait over 45 mins. I get home to get an email that my entire rate plan has changed and now I will be charged $40 more per month.. not just the first month,, the on going monthly rate. They can not do anything over the phone so now I have to go in again to talk to them about a rate they made up all by themselves. Also please note they transfered my phone while i was there and said it would take 45 mins, it took 6 hours, during the middle of the day when work calls come through. Just so you know the apple store can do the transfer in 15 mins. Will not be going back to this store ever and it will be much easier and quicker getting a new phone from the apple store. read more

Given incorrect information and was sent to other stores. Left my account a mess and I had to spend hours on the phone with customer loyalty to straighten it out. They failed at a task as simple as issuing a sim as I was sent home with a sim card that was not provisioned. I had to go to another AT&T store to get a working sim for my number. I've been in this store 3 times over the last few weeks to order a new phone, pick up said phone, and trade in my old phone. Each time, I've had excellent service. Today, Travon helped me trade in my phone. He was friendly, professional, and took his time to help me. Sadly, each time I've been in, I've seen customers upset/frustrated/yelling at the sales associate. Being frustrated with a feature on your phone or your phone not working does not give you the right to yell at someone who works at an ATT store (or yell at anyone). If you have questions about your phone or your acct, they will most likely send you to the website. Quoted one hour wait by an understaffed store for a mere trade in. Came back an hour later. Waited another half hour and was told it'd be 30-45 minutes longer. Apparently the trade in can be done in seconds, but why would they efficiently give you money back? It's a ploy. Three people working and one is assigned to "check people in". Meanwhile, one of the two other agents is talking to another customer at a table about grapefruit trees rather than helping other customers get on their way. The other working with a customer who wasn't even on the board/in line. Inefficient. Understaffed. Poorly managed. Go to a different store. Or better yet, different company. read more

Today I went into the AT&T store with my mom. She was in dire need of a new phone. As we approached the store we were kindly greeted. The sales rep that assisted us was Nick. He was very honest and patient with us. My mom was purchasing a newer iPhone (major upgrade from her iPhone 6s) therefore she was behind on a couple updates.... Nick took his time answering her questions and assisted her in backing up her phone. We had a little trouble with her voicemail box. Again he took his time to help us fix that. Overall we were very happy with our experience and will definitely be coming back as needed. read more
