My phone has been having issues since the Verizon outage. I initially brought it to the Encinitas location on the day of the outage. They were very rude and wouldn't even look at my phone even though I explained my issue may not be related. I reset my network settings myself, and it seemed to work for a while. Fast forward to today when I started having issues with my phone again and decided to take it to this location. I could not make or receive calls or get texts that weren't sent from another iPhone. I walked in just after another gentleman, and he was being helped first. There was only one employee helping people. The employee asked my information and started working on my phone while simultaneously helping the other customer. Eventually, another employee came from a side room and took over. His name was Julian and he was very helpful and friendly. He asked what I had done already, which were things he probably would've tried so saved him time. Then he did a little further research and decided my sim was failing. I'm not sure if I've ever replaced my SIM card in my older iPhone. He replaced it and my phone worked again instantly. I hope that was all that it was because it was an easy fix. He then offered me an upgrade with a new plan. I declined as I'm not ready to do that right now. Horrible experience just trying to pick up a phone I ordered online. The requirement to show ID was absurd. I literally had my Verizon phone in hand and could authenticate directly with Verizon, which should have been enough. Then the sales rep decided to push accessories I clearly said I didn't need, got snarky when I declined, and acted offended when I called him out on it. Few weeks ago I bought a new iPhone 17. I'm one of those older people that can't figure out much technically. Enter CJ, the associate I was very fortunate to have. We went to look at the new iPhone. They didn't have the color my wife wanted, and didn't have an ETA on a new one, which is fine since it just got released. The kicker is that they couldn't call another Verizon store or look up their inventory. Both guys there "didn't know how". He did say they had the purple one to look at since it was in stock, but the little lock stand it's on doesn't allow you to pull it off tethered. So what's the point of displaying phones? Sales clerk said that the word "free" was never used and that included meant I had to purchase them from the store as part of that package. First of all, thanks for Verizon to reach out to me and make things whole. Went in last week to upgrade my iPhone XS Max for the iPhone 14pro max. I was told I would be given a $1000 credit towards the new phone for a the trade in. I was told that in order for the "deal" I would need to purchase a screen protector and a case. I asked the salesmen " really! There is no other way around this?" He said, on order to get discount it would be the only way. I asked him again. I am in car sales, I know how it is to get charged for additional accessories(clear coat protection package) on new cars when all you want is the car. Anyway. I was in a rush and wasn't thinking too much about it. When I was ready for the bill, it came out to $315! I was truly upset, but just wanted to get out of there. I came home and realized I was not given a receipt and found a charging cord and plug inside the bag. So he told me screen protector and case. What he didn't tell me was plug and cord. No one's my (tax, fees, upgrade cost) was so high. So upset. Reached out to Verizon and I was contacted by a gentleman who told me to keep everything and my account would be credited $115. Thank you for that. Please be careful when going into this store. I was told it wouldn't happen again , but I read a review prior and it seems like it happened in the past. read more

Go to any other Verizon store! They don't answer their phones - it will constantly go to an automated message even though there are 2+ workers hanging out not helping any customers out! We ordered 2 upgraded phones from this location - they did the paperwork incorrectly for one of the lines which ended up in our bill being over $140 for 1 line vs the $35 it should have been. I went in and talked to a guy who had no clue what to do. He printed my paperwork and said a manager had to do it as he didn't know how and they would call me when it was corrected. 3 weeks later and no call as well as no correction. Workers are there but have no clue what to do. No employee training whatsoever! Don't waste your time! read more

They are a SHAM!! After our last visit we were under the impression that Verizon was looking out for its customer of 20 +years. Basically between 3 family members we share a very low limited amount of data. After spending a couple hours getting my new phone, we still had some work to put in to get on their "unlimited". I was told by the store associate and a rep via Verizon chat that all we had to do was get on auto pay and once we did that they'd be able to take care of us. Naturally like any other normal person, we have lives and getting on auto pay required taking the time to sit down and set that up. A week later once we did what was requested we went back to the store to get on unlimited (tracking our allotted data on a daily stresses me out like no other). We show up under the impression that it was going to be a simple switch and we'd be in and out. NOPE! What all these people failed to tell us is that due to us taking so long that promo was no longer valid. Seriously, I've never felt so duped. The store rep offered to seem like he was helping us out by having us call the customer service like only to make matters worse! The lady on the phone had the cheesiest fakes "ohhhh I'm soooo sorry" that my blood boiled even more. This was a joke and a sham! Their solution? Periodically look at your Verizon app to see if the offer is available again in a few weeks, and every few weeks after that", seriously!? Who has the time for that? If this is something gay comes back, AND all your associates can see how hard we worked to fix things on our end in order to have stress free unlimited. It's not right. I have been with Sprint for almost 20 yrs. Essentially my whole time of living here in San Diego. These last couple of months my phone had been acting up. I wasn't sure if it was phone or service. Never had a problem with Sprint, but still decided to make the change. Customer service was excellent and very happy with my choice of stores. The Verizon phone service has been great so far. I went in for a basic phone upgrade in December. Not sure what to say. Was the worst experience I've ever had. Nothing was correct. Nothing was accurate. A "free" upgrade cost me like $4-500 out the door, and then my monthly bill became an issue. They overcharged me for monthly items, charged me for insurance that I did not want or order. I was back in the store no loess than 5 times before (I think) we got my bill correct. We'll see next month. I feel like I need to take a shower every time I leave the store. It's my cell phone bill people. It's not something I should need to think about much less stress over. If I didn't despise ATT, I would have dropped Verizon as a result of this experience. Awful. Magi, Jessica & Stone - have been outstanding customer service reps. Now that Magi has transferred to another store, Jessica and Stone have been helping me with all 10 of our devices. Everyone of them gives every customer there full attention and it shows. A couple weeks back a women miss calculated and misunderstood Jessica- Jessica was giving her a discount on a couple of extra items that she had purchased, but the lady came back a couple of times and Jessica continue to give her the best customer service. After experiencing a less than customer centric experience at the Verizon retail store at 6949 El Camino Real suite C106 - I decided to call this store. The store manager Magi answered the phone. She was pleasant and very vested in helping me out. I am immediately got in my car and went over there. I was immediately greeted by her associate - Stone. He like Magi immediately got to work explaining to me about upgrading my iPhone 6 Plus to a 12 Max Pro. I have previously try to upgrade my phones in the past and it was an all day experience but this time it only took an hour and I walked away with a smile on my face satisfied not only with the phone I received but at the price that I got it at. We came here on a Saturday afternoon with our two kids (4 and 7 year old). When we arrived it was only us so it was so nice to get assistance right away. The kids just sat on the floor playing games on one of the sample phones so that made it easier to purchase. Wish I would have read reviews before walking in the Bressi Ranch store. I have been with AT&T forever. My daughter lives in Phoenix and their coverage is not great. We went in to move her line to Verizon. Seth said they had a "great promo". Just pay the taxes on an IPad and Watch and they are free. Also told the bundle comes with free accessories. What he failed to tell us was they charge $29.99 to set up a phone. Which we did ourselves at home and $19.99 to set up the watch and iPad which we brought home in the box. I realized i had been swindled when I went in the pick up the watch and was told I owed more money. haha my fault for not asking for an itemized receipt. The free accessories with the bundle Seth sold me we actually $184 and he never mentioned the set up fees. The process took so long that I didn't ask for the receipt. When I complained to Christian who said he is the area business line manager he said Seth wouldn't do that. what a mess. Shame on me. Beware Seth is shady and is you need a business account don't use Christian. read more

UPDATED REVIEW July 30, 2016: I am still giving it 0 stars. The reason I'm updating it is to show that the store still has not changed nor improved. Went in a few days ago as my phone screen stopped working. Asked Christian and his team of workers if they could transfer my contacts to another phone and they said no because they needed to screen to swipe open the phone. That is baloney, all they need to do is plug in the phone and get into my account my password. So I went into the La Costa Verizon store next to Vons and they were able to save my contacts. This store at Bressi Ranch still employees people that don't know what they're doing. How does one store understand and successfully complete a transaction while another store and its employees cannot do anything? I tried to give them another chance after being defrauded from the last set of managers and sales people. But unfortunately, I cannot rate them any higher than zero stars again. Of those four times I managed to speak to a representative once after waiting for another 20 minutes. My friends from out of country wanted to get a prepaid plan while they're visiting the US. We came to this store and for some reason one of their phones was blocked by their Russian provider, so it just wouldn't activate no matter what. The staff of this store went out of the way to try different steps to make it work, they called customer service and really went above and beyond. In the end they even waived the activation fee of $20, something they definitely didn't have to do, because this was not their fault. I was very impressed by their outstanding customer service. I have a theory about the Yelp reviews for this great location. I believe the low reviews for this store are not actually about this store at all. People rate this location with a low score simply because they may be annoyed by Verizon in general--not annoyed by anyone at this particular location. I came in today with a number of issues. I had a replacement LG tablet that needed to be activated, an old (recently stolen) LG tablet that needed to be shut off from my account. An iPad mini in need of a protective cover, questions about our phone account, etc. This store is usually empty. This is wonderful news for customers: no wait lines for service. Because they were empty, I was able to park right outside their front door. Their manager, Eric Wente, helped me out. He's gracious, kind, personable and knowledgable. Kyle, another great employee of Verizon, pitched in from the side tables. Eric took care of all my Verizon needs. He even made a note sheet of our phones and computers with available upgrades. Although I've had cell phones for many years, I was finally able to convince my wife to get one for herself. She has always had a land line and has had no faith in in new technology. I have visited this Verizon store many times, seeking help on how to use some of the not so often used features on my cell phone, and when I took my wife in to get her her first cell phone the staff made her feel very comfortable with her historic decision to join the technological population.
