Easy access UPS store with all the services they provide. Staff work extremely hard, but it can be very busy almost out the door with all the Amazon returns. Customers show up with a bunch of returns that take a while to process. 5 star when not busy! read more

If you have a heavy package to drop off ...and you are not a tall, blonde...skip this location! There are 2 nice guys here, a young man named John and an older gentleman with a sexy scalp. The other graying hair guy...is just a rude character! He will not offer to lift ANYTHING, which is neither here nor there. But, if you do put the box on the counter he will ask you to move it to another floor area. If you head to the floor area...he will tell you the box must be on the counter. My last visit I saw Grey Hair carrying 3 huge boxes, without even being asked for my blonde staff. Wow! I used to use this location for my business when we needed things mailed. Never again tho! read more

Does the DMV run this place? Seriously, the worst attitude of employees.... Not sure if they aren't being paid enough or what, but very clear that the owner is not hands on. First- always short staffed. Second- sat there and watched the one kid working the week before Christmas. Only 1 person. Line was 6 people deep. He would help one person than would leave and go out back.... Took 30 mins to serve 4 people. Every customer was laughing After I left, I was curious, so drove around back... I normally don't leave reviews, but on Saturday, December 6th, the service at the San Marcos UPS Store was unacceptable. I was helped by a staff member named Noah, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was yawning in our faces, purposely taking his time, and even killing gnats with his bare hands while helping us--without washing his hands afterward. The entire interaction was slow, uncomfortable, and showed zero customer service. What makes this worse is that the young man working with him on Saturday overheard what was happening and defended Noah by saying he was "just having a bad day." After reading the reviews, it's clear this isn't a one-time situation--he seems to have a "bad day" every day. In the days after this incident, I went to two other places and mentioned my experience, and both had already heard about the issues at this UPS Store. If customers are leaving bad reviews and other businesses in the area are hearing about the poor service, why hasn't the manager or owner stepped in to fix this? A couple of days before my visit, I also called the store about notary services. The girl who answered the phone picked up like it was a personal call and then hung up on me--I had to call back. This location desperately needs better management and attention, because at this point the customer service problems are well-known and ongoing. read more

Been in here a couple of times and the owner and staff are just rude and argumentative. Staff shares they can't print a label with the machine because it will be $3. They then say you can email it. Email it and then they print it from the computer. All good until the end when the said it would be $3. When I state my point about the interaction owner began to argue with me even after I said I'm not going to argue with you while paying. It's a single piece of paper and you're paid for the drop off. Find another store to ship from. $3 for a bad customer experience, poor review and lost customer. Seems like a strange position to draw a line in the sand but to each their own. read more

Charging $3 to print one page shipping label is outrageous and simply bad business. I for one will not use them again. Next thing they will charge $1 to walk into their store read more

I had to return some Amazon orders yesterday and popped into this Store completely unorganized and the guy working there John was so kind and patient helping me figure out what I was doing. He made a task I've been dreading easy and even made me laugh. The store was clean and they seemed to be moving ppl through quickly. It only cost me $2.50. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this UPS store. The employee I interacted with, who was a white man with glasses and blonde hair, was extremely rude both in person and on the phone. When I called today, he was again dismissive, claiming that UPS doesn't have any packages there and can't hold them. He also gave me misleading information about their services. I left feeling unwelcome and extremely frustrated. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to endure this kind of poor service." read more

Genuinely so awful. I purchased the service to be fingerprinted and they refused me service even after I waited in line for 20 minutes. Lots of negative comments about owner. That's crazy. Been using this service for 14 years. The owner is fabulous. So caring so helpful it's an absolute pleasure to do business there. Always helpful suggestions to save me money. Great place to drop off my Amazon returns. Great guy. read more

I've been coming here regularly and it's always a pleasure. Today there was only one young lady working alone. But she was so professional and precise that she was managing both windows by herself. She was quick, helpful, professional, pleasant even when certain people seemed frustrated that they had no cell service. Whoever owns this location, is a very lucky person to have her in their employ. If I were hiring right now, I'd definitely hire her. This is definitely my favorite UPS location. read more

I paid $54.17 on 02/24/25 for second day air service to mail medication that my husband forgot to pack for his trip. The medication was not delivered on time. I tried calling the store multiple times, no pick up and call disconnected. I spent hours trying to reach a human anywhere at UPS to no avail, online chats completely worthless. I went to the store location on 02/28/25 to be told by Nolan that there's nothing they can do, they're "not actually affiliated with UPS (they're) a standalone store" and that "second day air isn't a guarantee." So basically they can take your money, not provide a service and then tell you to search on the internet and good luck. I am almost unhappy customer and, for what it's worth, still have been unable to reach ANYONE at UPS. read more

Quite enjoy this location. The service is great. I hope everyone enjoys their time here as much as I have.

Went to get a paper notarized for school. Got an email back from the school stating the notary did not follow the directions. Called the UPS store to tell them what happened. Next thing I know I get told by the boy with long blond hair and a long blond beard that I was wrong (he originally did it, even spelled my name wrong on the paperwork). I went to the store to confirm and they had to redo it. Another worker looked over the work realized it was done wrong. Then proceeded to not read the instructions again and it did wrong a second time in front of me. Safe to say I'm not going back and paying another $15 when two children can't do the job right. read more

Today I had an absolutely terrible experience at this UPS store due to the extremely poor customer service provided by one of their employees ( it may have been the Owner) . I went in to return a package from Amazon and was greeted by an employee who was clearly disinterested in helping me. When I asked a question about returning a rug that I had ordered from Amzon , he gave me a curt and unhelpful response that left me feeling frustrated and confused.Throughout the interaction, the employee seemed completely indifferent to my needs as a customer. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the level of service I received and would strongly advise others to avoid it if they are looking for a positive customer experience. The employee's lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was truly appalling and left me feeling frustrated and angry. If you value good customer service, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

I just sent a 13 page fax from this location. When the clerk rang me up, my total was $22.75! I'm still in shock! To be fair, I could have asked. ‍ read more

Been going to the store for years. I went back to this location this morning to mail 2 packages and the change from just a week ago was dramatic. I'd give them 5 stars because they were busy and did an outstanding job moving customers through but I need to go back to make sure it's permanent. Good job! read more

I normally always go to my Escondido UPS location on East Valley Parkway ( where their customer service is always amazing ). But today 1/28 , I was in the San Marcos area and decided to drop off a package at this location since I was already in the shopping center. When I came in there was still 10 minutes to close 4:50pm and they close at 5pm. The moment I walked in the person at the counter by the name of Raul ( I asked for his name before I left ) looked at me with such a miserable face rolled his eyes did not welcome me and just turned around and walked away to the back to put something away, comes back to the front and I just like stayed there he did not say anything to me just looked at me mad , so I said hello how are you. He did not even acknowledge me saying hello , just grabbed my package scanned it and gave me a receipt , did not even say thank you for coming in or have a great evening. Nothing , I was the one who told him have a good day. I started walking away but then turned back to ask for his name and he rudely told me his name and turned around again. Never coming to this store again. I would understand going in 1-2 minutes before closing but no he had 10 minutes left. He did not have to be so rude. Horrible energy . And so funny when I left and got into my car to write this review 6 more people went in. I'm sure they had the same experience read more

Very rude customer experience. Staff isn't friendly at all. I've been to many UPS Stores and this one is by far the worst. I also had to return an Amazon box and I didn't have it taped and they wanted to charge me $1.50 to tape it up. I get it, I should of taped it prior to returning, but any other UPS Store i've been to has taped it for free. I won't be back to this location and recommend others to skip it as well. read more

Just went here to drop off an Amazon return, Raelani was incredibly rude. Wouldn't listen to me, spoke over me and then completely ignored my request for her to prove she would take care of my package. Amazon really should reconsider using UPS for drop offs, I almost never get good customer service at any San Marcos location. This one is the better of the two, but sheesh!! They must be treating them badly or something. I'll happily go back to my regular Encinitas store, the drive is worth the kind service there. read more

I dread coming to this place whenever I have to send or return something. All of the employees that have helped me out over the continuous times that I go, are all rude. I guess now there's a new teenage girl who works there and she's the rudest employee there. The customer service keeps depreciating and honestly all the staff members need to be retained or fired. It's so weird to me that a mail carrier like UPS gets upset if I don't tape my shipment box. There's been two instances where I don't have tape or lost the roll and without letting me ask if they can tape it, they condescendingly say that I have to bring it taped for the next time. Like charge me extra if it really matters to you that it's not taped, I don't mind. The fact that UPS doesn't want to waste their tape is a joke. As a shipping company it should be something that you guys wouldn't mind doing or charging for. All I can say is, if you have another UPS that's closer that isn't this one, go to that one because this place is full of whining employees. read more

Everyone is right about this ups location. It's dreadful taking anything to this place. They are beyond rude. I get you might not like your job, but it's not the customers fault this is where you are working. The least you could do is fake a good attitude. Came in 30 mins before closing(6:30pm) They said they stopped doing notary at 5:30pm, which would have been fine if they didn't blatantly ignore us when we walked in. Is negative stars an option? This location has 1 employee who is pleasant. A gentleman. Every other employee is snark, presents themselves poorly and extremely rude. I do a lot of returns as a secret shopper. Each time I dread going in because each time they are rude. I know if they treat me (a regular) that way they are likely disrespectful to everyone. Typically I just keep my head down and complete my transactions but this time I witness one African American girl also be rude to an older lady. That was the last straw for me! This branch is less than 3 minutes from my house but definitely does NOT represent a "neighborhood location". Please re-train your employees on customer service or re-visit your hiring practice. read more

I use UPS stores all of the time for notary services and shipping. Everytime I go to this location they are short staffed or the team members are very unfriendly. The line will be out the door and the staff will be working to scan packages instead of waiting on customers. Today I went in for a notary and waited 25 minutes while a staff member shipped 2 items for a person ahead of me. The other team member slowly checked in packages that were already delivered while the line grew. Finally when I was my turn to be served the only notary in the store looked to help the next person in line. Then when she finally helped me she discovered that she lost her notary stamp. I was in the store for more than 35 minutes and for a notary and then was told they couldn't help. As a professional that uses other UPS locations this store consistently has poor service and their staff members move extremely slow like they hate their job.
