I had an envelope accidentally mis-sorted into my PO box, and when I stopped in to drop off some FedEx envelopes, I asked if I could just place it back in the mail to be re-sorted and delivered correctly. I was told that because of the carrier it originated from, it couldn't simply be dropped back in for re-delivery. That's when Sunny stepped in. Even though it wasn't something they typically handle, Sunny offered to help by creating a new label and getting it back into the system to make sure it reached the right recipient. It appeared to be something urgent for a law firm, so that extra effort really meant a lot. I truly appreciate those small acts of kindness especially when you're unfamiliar with the process. Update: The package I mailed FedEx 2nd Day air to Hawaii on December 1st still has not arrived at it's destination. I called again and spoke to a woman who was nice and helpful. The tracking number I was given by someone the last time I called was, apparently, incorrect. She looked up my order, noted that I paid $66.70 for the service and that it actually went out via US Mail. She said she'd check with the owner (about what, I'm not sure) and call me back. Dropped off Amazon return, there was a long line and the employee looked overwhelmed so I dropped it off with her and did not get a receipt. The package was never scanned in so it was either lost or stolen by the store. I called a few days later and no resolution was offered besides looking for scan-in ledgers. I visited the store and still no resolution only that the employee remembered the interaction and not sure what happened to the package. They have not offered any apologies up to this point. I went to U-post today were the very first time in somewhere of a panic because I accidentally paid my property taxes twice because my lender did as well. I needed a notary., and I met the owner Sunny. This gentleman helped me as if I was one of his own children that was trying to get their money back. The kindest man ever the whole staff was so kind and helpful. I went in so worried and left with so much confidence that I met the right person to help me. I came in today to ask about passport photos and they employees actually surprised me by informing me that they provide the same service that the post office does for passports. WITHOUT THE HASSLE and Appointments. They help you -Take your passport photo for $14 - help you fill out your passport packet or renewal forms -ships the packet out for $16 priority mail with tracking number Only thing you need to bring is a blank check , so all you have to do is make your check out for the amount. Passport renewal with passport card (real ID) comes out to $200 bucks. Way better than the post office. If your need to ship stuff out, this place is great. I moved into the area recently and stopped by this location as it's close to the house. I ship a lot with work so I was hoping to have a friendly postal office nearby. This place will nickel and dime you for everything you're worth. I tried to drop off an Amazon return the first time and they wanted $4 to print a single label. The second time I stopped by I came with work supplies to ship. I brought my own labels this time but one of the boxes did not have tape. They wanted $2 to tape a single box.. "Sorry, we have signs printed" the clerk scoffed as he pointed to a 2"x4" printed notecard taped to the counter. After these poor experiences I will happily drive the extra 15 minutes to continue my relation and bring my business to Mailboxes of Oceanside. That being said, the guy was late opening the store by 15 minutes, then was grumpy with the first 2 customers and told me they didn't take Amazon UPS returns with labels already attached on the 3 boxes I tried to send. So off to a UPS store and no problem whatsoever. So go figure, they call themselves a authorized UPS store, a super store mailing center but my one and only visit was less than stellar so no need for me to return to a poor attitude and service. read more

We have held our mailbox here for over 2 years and overall have had a wonderful experience. The staff were so friendly and to be honest; it became quite the family. Some of the staff even got to know my baby from newborn to now 16 months. They would occasionally help me to the car with packages and say hello to him. We never had issues with any mail and we received quite a lot of packages! There is an app used for the mailbox and when mail is received the team would check it into the app so that we know it has been received safely. This was typically done the same day mail was received, but definitely within 24 hours. It has never gone beyond that, until recently. I am so sad to say this, but the place that I loved dearly took a pretty serious and steep nose dive recently. They hired a new manager- Meredith Homan. Since Meredith joined the team, the usual warm and friendly atmosphere became a very cold and uninviting place to be. I sensed the "I'm here for business only" attitude. No smiles, no personal touch, No "oh I see you have a mailbox here. it's very nice to meet you." No. Nothing. None of it. Let me break it down: -I noticed that mail hadn't been checked in for multiple days which was unusual since I received delivery notifications from senders. -I called to check on this. Meredith answered the phone. I asked her if she could see any mail there for me since it hasn't yet been checked in and it's been a few days. I was polite as can be. I am British (some language/cultural differences) so perhaps the way I asked, to her was in-polite? I'm not sure? Once again, she didn't even say "Hello How are you doing today". She went on to inform me that she was unable to check the mail in yet. I asked her if at all it was possible for her to do it now since I was worried parcels were missing and one of them was urgent. She hung up the phone. I called back 3 times and no answer. -The day after I went in to collect my packages. Meredith was serving a customer and another member of staff was assisting me. Meredith spoke very loudly across the room "I didn't get chance to check in your mail because I was busy with a line of customers" (Totally unprovoked may I add.) My immediate thought was, how extremely unprofessional to yell across the room when already serving a customer and to make me, who is also a customer feel insignificant. My other thoughts were why didn't she apologize or inform me on the phone that she was with customers rather than hanging up the phone. I replied to Meredith and just simply said "I wish you didn't hang up the call." Meredith then went on to say that I was arguing with her on the phone and that is why she hung up the call etc. All of this was in front of the other customers, one of which she was serving! To me - there was no arguing on the phone at all so I was in shock she even said that. My response was "Well it appears you are arguing with me now" -2 days go by and I was due another package from amazon. I received a delivery notification so I go in to retrieve it. Meredith happens to be there and once again didn't say hello, how you doing- nothing. She immediately said "You don't have any mail." I asked her would she mind double checking because I had an amazon delivery notification. She went to my mailbox and literally held up a blank card that was in my mailbox and said again "you don't have any mail." I was confused and was looking at my phone to pull up the amazon notification when she informed me that I no longer have a mailbox here and that she removed me based on our recent interactions. She knew she removed my mailbox but still went over to check for mail? I found that very strange. No warning for box closure even though I have been a very loyal customer, had wonderful relationships with all staff and spent many dollars here. I have too, managed/worked in the customer service field for many years and I am truly horrified with how I have been treated. I still don't understand why this has happened. I feel shocked, hurt and betrayed. read more

Sunny and his crew are great! I have been receiving my mail here for four years and they go out of there way to accommodate their clients. We used to receive our mail at our home and had nothing but issues. We wouldn't receive our mail and when we would talk to the Supervisor at the USPS we were informed that they were working on it and would "hopefully" have a full time person on our route. The worst service I have encountered!.. I requested a FedEx next day shipment and they charge me over $50 dlls I dropped off my package before last FedEx express pick up .. next day I am expecting to get this very important document packaged delivered to the destination and I see no movement on the tracking so I called and the employee told me that FedEx never took my package.. the kid at front desk never put it on the area where they pick up so driver missed it.. now my package is not there as they promised .. kid was very overwhelmed since he told me he was the only one in the line and he was frustrated with me .. he assured me the owner Sunny was going to give me a call and never did, and he said he was going to make sure my package leaves on that day for sure and they will refund me only half because they couldn't eat the whole price for shipping .. now this is the third day and my package still has no tracking info and no one to answer .. read more

I've been going here for quite a few years. Many years with the old owner, and now the new one. I've never had an experience there, that has or would cause me to feel negative about their service or services. The old owner was cool to me. Just as the current owner. I've watched different interactions with customers ahead of me, and some after me. There has never been inconsistencies with treatment of us.
