The UPS Store I usually go there to drop off packages, and I've been a customer for many years because it's close to my home. A few years ago, I felt that the employees were a bit rude. Formal Witness Statement of Unethical Conduct, Harassment, and Discrimination. I am submitting this statement to formally document unethical conduct, verbal harassment, discrimination, and serious privacy violations that I directly witnessed by an employee at this store location. At the time of the incident, there were multiple customers already waiting in line. I was personally waiting for an email to be printed. Two men behind me were also waiting for emailed documents, including W-2 forms, and at least one additional customer was waiting as well. The employee identified as Tuanga was responsible for assisting customers and claimed to be a supervisor, repeatedly engaged in hostile, threatening, and unprofessional behavior toward customers. Rather than explaining the delay or communicating any technical issue, she threatened customers, stating that if they did not want to wait, they were "free to leave," without providing any explanation or attempting to resolve the situation. During this interaction, the employee repeatedly handed me printed emails containing private and confidential information that did not belong to me, constituting a serious breach of customer privacy. Each time, she abruptly ripped the papers out of my hands. This occurred multiple times. The same misconduct occurred with the two men waiting behind me, who were also handed documents containing personal information that did not belong to them and were forced to return them. At no time did the employee apologize, acknowledge the error, or take responsibility for these violations. The employee's conduct escalated further when a female customer approached the counter to confirm whether her email had been received. The employee responded aggressively and dismissively, stating "no," without asking the customer's name or checking any system. When the customer reasonably asked whether the employee was experiencing technical difficulties, the employee responded with a hostile and threatening remark, stating that she "doesn't work for the internet." When the customer sought clarification regarding the prolonged delay, the employee insulted her, became verbally abusive, and ultimately denied her service entirely after the customer stated she would report the employee's behavior. I witnessed this interaction firsthand. This behavior was erratic, hostile, discriminatory, and an abuse of authority toward customers. It created an intimidating environment and resulted in denial of service. I have personally witnessed similar unprofessional and hostile conduct at this location on multiple prior occasions. Additionally, this store has repeatedly been closed despite posted business hours stating it is open. Packages have gone missing or were never sent, and I have previously filed claims regarding these issues. The incident described above confirms an ongoing pattern of mismanagement, unethical conduct, and disregard for customer rights and privacy at this location. This statement is accurate, factual, and based entirely on what I personally witnessed. I am hoping Corporate Closes this location as it violates numerous laws and UPS practices. read more

We made an error on our Amazon returns by accidentally printing a label twice and placing the same label on two different boxes. I didn't figure it out right away, but when I did, I called the store. Joe was so helpful; he searched all of the boxes when time allowed (it was a Sunday, so they didn't ship out yet), located my packages, called my cell when he found them, and allowed me the opportunity to properly relabel them. I walked in with a return for Amazon. I was given a label to print out. My printer is currently down so it cost me three dollars to print a label. Yes, I expected a charge but three dollars for a piece of paper and some ink is way overpriced. However, there's nothing you can do about the price you're being charged. The quality of service was low completely and totally below par as I presented the box for the return. I was told the UPS store will only take flat brown boxes and or shipping envelopes because the box was an older box with color on it. They didn't want to take it. They tried to strong-arm me into buying another box which was not even Amazon policy as the clerk. tried to say I even called Amazon they couldn't stop laughing because they said we don't care if you return it in a cereal box Amazon policy states it just has to be packaged and the package has to be provided by or to the UPS store since it was not a QR code, saying no package required however, the way it was packaged, and the type of packaging was not a concern to Amazon. The UPS store is changing policy to their own specific liking not actual Amazon policy is unacceptable for this recent I gave a very low score. I believe they should be able to follow Amazon packaging policy as it is not their place to tell you how to package something. It is their job to mail out that package. That's why they are being paid for the Mealing service not the packaging service, especially when they are not being held responsible for the package. I came here to send out my wedding invitations. It was my first time sending something through mail so I came with a lot of questions but Charlie was the sweetest he answered all the questions I had he even helped me put all the stamps on my invitations. UPS store by Walmart on Marron Rd. I have had to use this store several times in the last five years and I have forgotten to write a review. I had to shred several times the important papers of those that have passed. The staff was very helpful. Procedure: They do not take your papers and shred them in front of you. The do not touch your papers at all. You must place them on the weighing machine and then take them over to a locked trashcan-box. You place your papers in the locked box slot. It appears to be very secure. The only time he touched anything was when he lifted the heavy box off the floor unto the weighing machine and then placed it on the floor and he pushed it over to the locked box. The cost is .99 a pound. To me it was well worth it, rather than sitting all day to shred and burn up my shredder. I had over 29 lbs this trip. July 2023 read more

Needed a notary public service 03/03/2025. Web site states "notary always available" and open 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Arrived at 5:15 PM, asked for notary. "He leaves at 5:00 every day." Me: Your website says they are always available. You may want to update that. "I don't know anything about the website." Then they turned around and went to the back room. Horrible service and pricing. Just young kids working at this location. The employee that was helping me was on their cellphone taking what was definitely a personal call. Had to wait for them to get done talking--also, was interrupted mid talk so they could tell their friend they'd call back. Employee then talked to me as if he was reciting a script and was absolutely no help in getting items packaged properly. Employee also threw around the items I was going to ship and measured haphazardly. Quoted an absurd $30+ to ship sandals in a small poly mailer. I'm not going back and suggest you find another UPS location. Personally, I've frequented the El Camino Real and Oceanside Blvd locations and they've been great. read more

I use this store all the time, and most recently I needed to utilize their notary service for a very difficult retirement situation. The main employee who is always working was patient, friendly, and helped me immensely through the process. Literally this place has gone down hill quick! I walked into the clerk (a man) telling a woman she has to leave because they can't help her take a passport photo with a baby! Thankful the a clerk came in (a woman) who stepped in and got it done! Sadly there have been adverse reviews on this location and it is very disheartening, the employees I have always dealt with have been very helpful and kind. Avoid like the plague if possible. I stopped to get a simple and routine signature notarized. The notary overcomplicated the entire process, then refused to notarize. I had my valid drivers license and this was a very simple and straightforward request. Just terrible and frustrating. read more

This location has degraded in quality over the years. The workers dress like people off the street, a hoodie and some old sweatshirt. I've gone here a long time for Amazon returns and other items to ship. The man working here told me he couldn't use the return label for my items, I've never had that be a problem before. Instead of just scanning and printing like they always do, he wanted me to email him the return label and said he would charge me $8 to do it. Think he's trying to gouge me. When I said I didn't want to pay that he looked at me like I was an idiot and made some comment about being cheap. I said "what did you say to me?" But rather than start a fight I told him to give the item back and I would go somewhere else. This employee should be fired. I left to another store (in Carlsbad) and the employees were dressed nice in blue UPS uniforms, respectful, helpful and they received the items and said everything was taken care of. Super easy. Will never return to this Oceanside location. Horribly run, don't let them rip you off, employees need to be retrained or replaced. read more
