Great staff. Very friendly and patient. I am always greeted when I enter and I never have to wait very long to be helped. And no judgement on how many Amazon returns I have! Being right off El Camino, I love that it doesn't take me out of my way when I run errands. It is convenient to drop off my returns and then shop at Sprouts. My only issue ever is the parking right out front is hit or miss due to the restaurants located on either side. And it's difficult to back out of with the constant flow of traffic in the lot. read more

I like this UPS store. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of and it's in a convenient location. The staff is friendly and they don't nickel and dime you. Another UPS store in the area charges you for tape whereas this store will tape up your box for free. There are usually at least two people working and the line goes quickly. read more

Very friendly and helpful. We had some packages sent there because people were stealing packages or they were delivering to a neighbors door and the neighbors didn't give us the package. So we pick up here to avoid the hassle. UPS staff knows us by face and says hello using our names and let us know if we have a package or not without giving them the tracking number! No effort to check surveillance footage, confirm driver records, or take ownership of the issue. I've had to escalate this to UPS Store corporate and open a formal investigation with UPS. The UPS store in Encinitas Target Center will do this without a problem. They happily took the return to get reimbursed by Amazon, but wouldn't provide tape to seal the top. read more

Since UPS stores are franchisees, I've found that most fall into two categories: overtly generous or unapologetically greedy. From my rating, it's obvious which category this location belongs to based upon my experience. I'm currently traveling and needed a package delivered here that was slightly too large to fit in an Amazon locker. I confirm pricing with an employee, and was confidently told $5, $10 or $15 depending on size of package. I read online that most locations rarely charge more than $5 for this service. My package arrives and I pickup within a few hours of delivery. I'm charged $25 to pick up... I'm told that the employee who previously confirmed pricing was new and didn't know (conveniently he wasn't working when I picked up). I'm also told that $25 is justified because the store is small and has limited storage capacity. I glance behind the employee telling me this, who doesn't even look up from scrolling on his phone when talking, and see the backroom full of empty shelves. So the lesson from this location is: the customer is responsible for determining if information provided by employees is accurate, and employees will be blatantly dishonest to justify arbitrary pricing. Went there to get 1 printout & scan - cost is $6.50. Scan never goes thru so I they credit me $2.50 back. The cost for 1 copy is $4. No WiFi in the store and they have known dead zones so unfortunately I spent 20 minutes walking around the parking lot outside to ensure I had a scan. No scan. Cost for a photo copy $4. read more

Don't use this store. On a Sunday afternoon, I had an urgent package to deliver before heading out of town for work Monday-Wednesday. I went to the store in Carlsbad village first and it was closed. So, on my way to the Carlsbad store on El Camino, I called to ask them (Shane) to please stay open for an extra less-than-one-minute past 4p to accept the package. He rudely said "my door closes at 4p." Thinking I could make it, I rushed and arrived at 4:00 on the nose. Door was locked and he was behind the counter shaking his head no and pointing to the clock. This is terrible customer service. I didn't need to buy anything, just drop off a package. It would have cost this person nothing at all to extend a kindness. Incredibly rude. I've used this UPS store for my business mail for about 4 years. Up until the past few months, I had absolutely no complaints and the service was top notch, with friendly, helpful employees. Now the service has gone completely off the cliff, mail addressed to me gets returned, and extricating my business from that mailbox will be a time-consuming and costly process. About 6 months ago, I'd asked the store to forward my mail to my home address on a weekly basis. I gave them a credit card number... and have had my mail forwarded to me 5 times at most. I've called the store a few times to remind them to forward the mail, and to do it automatically, every week. When I've been in the store, I've reminded the employees twice to please, please take my money and forward my mail every week. It STILL doesn't happen. But wait, it gets worse: this UPS store has been SENDING BACK mail that's properly addressed to my business. Checks from my clients have been returned; it's embarrassing to imply that clients are dodging payment, and have them reply that they paid us, but the checks got sent back. They're sending credit card statements back to the bank too: see photo for an example. When I've tried to call the store to figure out what's going on there, my calls go directly to a message that states all employees are busy, don't leave a message, and call back some other time. At this point, I'd love to simply say Enough, Goodbye, No More to this UPS Store. But it's not that easy, and not just that I have a few expensive months remaining on my mailbox contract there. USPS won't forward mail addressed to private mail boxes. To get mail forwarded, I'd have to -- you guessed it -- pay the store to forward mail to me. And we've already seen how well that works. In order to leave this store, I'll have to instead contact every one of my clients, all the tax agencies, credit card companies, etc., before I leave. I'll have to update envelopes, websites, checks, etc. that display their address. I really don't have the time for that kind of nonsense -- or this store's. I miss the days when this store did its job (Maverick, in particular, was always helpful, but has left). Those days are gone. Seriously, avoid getting trapped into a mailbox here. read more

I typically drop off Amazon returns and the process is smooth. You have your return item already packaged and then make sure to bring in your QR code as well. They scan it, you can get a receipt, and you're off. I have gotten a passport photo here in the past. It's a bit more expensive but it worked. read more

After a terrible experience at a UPS store in Oceanside, I left and came here. Glad I did, the employees were nice and helpful (not rude and trying to rip me off like Oceanside), they all dressed in blue UPS uniforms like professionals (not hoodies and street clothes like Oceanside). I'm surprised at the negative reviews at this branch... I have had a business mailbox at this location for a few years now and have had no issues. The owner Abe has been very professional and friendly since I first opened the box. Initially it was going to be a temporary location but I decided to stay for now. * Customer Service: Abe definitely knows how to make sure each of his customers are satisfied. As with any small companies and having employees not all of them have the same work ethics as he does. * Speed: I have shipped and made copies at this location. I have not had any issues with lost packages. Some times when they're short staffed it can get to where there's a long wait. I usually just return another time. No big deal. The whole box was sealed except the top flap it was a return and in original packing. I despise surprises. Even more so when they are delivered with poor customer service, both in person and over the phone. In California, compounding pharmacies are now required to obtain a signature for medications delivered. These medications are incredibly important to my patients and clients. As I am a mobile veterinarian, I am rarely at the home office to receive packages and sign for them so they eventually find there way down to the UPS store ( why this one I have no idea) and then I have to race to get there during their bankers hours. The compounding pharmacy thought it would be a good idea to just ship directly to the UPS Store to avoid the delivery delays. It sounded good at the time, BUT, turns out they charge a $7.00 fee per package to receive and hand the packages over. WHAT?! At what point would this Information be provided to me? It was delivered to me rudely over the phone when I called looking for the packages. No preamble, no explanation I take exception to being charged for something so frivolous. Especially when the service was nonexistent. Exactly what did they do to earn this fee? They had opened one package and damaged the other and they did not call to alert me that the packages were there and had been for 3 days. The phone number was clearly marked on the outside of the box. No doubt about it, I was furious. Did I pay their fee? Yes, I did. Are they silly gits? Yes they are. Of course they have no idea of the importance of these medications and obviously the most important thing was for them to receive their fee. The young girl and the manager offered no remediation of their errors. The compounding pharmacy and I will figure out another avenue by which we can meet California's requirements and still get the needs of our patients met. read more
