I've been having really bad experiences with FedEx deliveries lately; broken deliveries, deliveries that were said they were attempted when I was home and know they weren't, delays, etc. HOWEVER- my experience at this location has a bright spot in my week. After multiple bad deliveries, I asked for my latest package to be shipped to this location. I arrived in the evening and Gilbert helped me as if I was an old friend. He helped me open the massive box (a bookcase) and helped me inspect the parts to make sure it wasn't damaged. He then went out of his way to reseal the box even better than it was before, explaining where the tape would support best. After all that, Gilbert then carried the box out to my truck and helped me load it into the bed. He was friendly, helpful, and went far beyond any of the service I expected to get. I also know he wasn't even supposed to be working that late, and was holding over till closing. Gilbert had every reason to just do the minimum and move on to the next customer, but he made me feel like my delivered mattered instead. I really appreciate Gilbert and I hope FedEx appreciates how much his friendliness did to turn change what had been multiple bad experiences before him. Thank you! read more

I have several beefs with this Carlsbad, Fedex hub, with a couple listed below: They're starting to deliver boxes that require signature by just leaving them at the front door, sometimes without even knocking. Why would they risk that considering if somebody steals the package, they have to reimburse the contents? Sometimes the contents are irreplaceable. Next problem: Recently, after the Carlsbad manager was told about the following negligence and she referred my case for a refund. Fedex promptly closed the case without refunding me (for paying for overnight shipping before noon on a weekday that was not received by noon) or even responding to my detailed explanation. What was worse was the initial problem : the delivery guy. I too have to sit around all day waiting for packages to arrive and watch for these delivery people to show up so I can make sure the gate is open. He arrived right at the deadline, drove right up to an open gate and turned around and left, stating online that the gate was closed. Why not just deliver the package? These people make no sense. Oh yeah, their website is horrible. Also, so is their app. You can click on things to make changes but there's no response by the website for the very thing you need to change. We now use anything but FedEx when at all possible. read more

Since FedEx distribution Center is so evasive and, which falls in line with their lousy customer service, I want to make it clear that I am complaining about the delivery driver for my area who almost hit me in Ramona! The driver was coming down a private dirt road and I put my hand up to stop him and indicated I wanted to speak with him, so he slow down. When I walked over to the driver side, he peeled out, nearly hitting me with the mirror on the side door. When I called the generic 800 number for FedEx to file a report several days ago, I did not feel that the report would go anywhere. After all, the 800 number goes to a foreign country And that call-center relays the information to the office that is responsible for the complaint I assume. read more

A two day delivery departed from Minnesota on Friday and arrived in Carlsbad @ 8:30 am Saturday. So far, so good. It was the ONLY "good" No attempt made Saturday to deliver it. No attempt was made Sunday to deliver it An "attempt" WAS FINALLY made Monday, but driver went to some unknown house (the picture he took was NOT us), no one home, so rescheduled for next day. I contacted FedEx within an hour of first "attempt", TOLD THEM THEY GOT THE WRONG PLACE, and asked them to try again on Tuesday, but (after I verified they indeed had my correct address on file) to instruct the driver to BE CAREFUL WITH THE ADDRESS. Silly me... Indeed, yet another "attempt" was made Tuesday, but driver AGAIN went to some unknown house (the picture he took was AGAIN NOT us, but looked a LOT like the FIRST WRONG TRY). No one there, so here we go again: I contacted FedEx within an hour of second "attempt", told them they AGAIN got the wrong place, and told them I gave up on them getting to my home, just hold it and I'll pick it up the next day at their center. Silly me...Agent said--no can do, you have to wait for ANOTHER attempt (aka ANOTHER failure) before they'd hold it. So now, a package they got last Friday--on a 2 Day Delivery program-- MIGHT be available for me to pick up 8 days later. Aint that great??!!?? Do not relay on the FedEx "experts" for any help whatsoever in shipping prices. I printed label on line for package, but had to rebox in slightly larger box. Took to this location and explained to the employee that I had to rebox and want to make sure the shipping label had correct postage. As I had to rebox after printing label. He measured the box and weighed it and stated that it's good to go as is no additional postage needed. This was not the case Fedex shipped it. But then charged me and "adjustment" of $334.53 over sized shipping. the original shipping was only $86.68 talk about bad advise. I had to overnight a passport in an emergency situation. I was right at the deadline for overnight packages. Louie Pena went out of his way to make sure my package made it with the overnight shipments. He ran with my package to give it to the driver who had already pulled away. That's excellent customer service! He could have easily said sorry you're too late but he went that extra mile to help a customer in need. Our office building and business are still open as Critical Infrastructure. For the past two months we have had seven different FedEx employees walk into our building, all not wearing masks. Each time I call FedEx to report employees I get a broken promise that the issue will be resolved, the behavior will be corrected, it won't happen again and I will be getting a follow up phone call from a supervisor. Twice this WEEK we had FedEx employees waltz in, disregarding the signs posted on our door. DELIVERIES & SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS ONLY. NO MASK, NO ENTRY. and our second sign, made special for FedEx after the second incident occurred - Attention FedEx: Must wear mask to enter. Thank you. I have previously been able to call FedEx, get the "delivery hub" the driver came from based on the tracking number and then report the incidents to our County's Covid-19 Health & Safety Code compliance. I called today, and was denied that information. So first, FedEx isn't enforcing masking wearing policies for their employees. Second, they are getting complaints and calls about the ongoing issues, then doing nothing. Third, they have now taken away the ability for victims to have Health and Safety Guidelines enforced. FedEx isn't just delivering your packages and important paperwork, they're also delivering Covid-19 directly to your door. Everything on FedEx.com about covid-19 and their safety standards is a lie. Every employee that works at their call center that says they're going to make sure this is resolved is a liar. I used to think Fedex was fabulous. But, my most recent experience has made me realize Fedex quality is not as it was a decade ago. Furthermore, I think there is some organized criminal activity going on since they seem to lose packages (delivered to the wrong location) that they know have technology inside or something easy to resell. That's not just my opinion, the company I ordered from has the same impression. I had a package that was scheduled for delivery early in March. Tracking said it was delivered but the picture of the delivery location wasn't my house. I called within 2 hours to alert them. Day after day trying to communicate back and forth with useless Fedex Customer service. They know the GPS location of the misdelivery. They finally said sorry, contact the sender. The sender says Fedex just tells them it was delivered--so no help to the sender either. Luckily the sender re-shipped but this time we did signature required. I'm also sitting at my front door for 5 hours so far....because that's how untrustworthy Fedex is. Not the same Fedex as the old days. Zero customer service. Zero help over the phone. Avoid if possible. I also discovered that the misdelivered package had been handled by Fedex Ground out of Oceanside. The sender then sent the replacement via Fedex Express Signature Required. I learned from this experience: A. I will request signature required for all future deliveries. B. You can track the truck every 5 minutes when it was out for delivery. I took a picture every 5 minutes of that screen tracking....because once it's delivered, your ability to see the map tracking disappears. You can no longer see where the truck was when it was nearby your home. read more

Not my first disappointment with fedex. Once again, I took the day off of work only to have fedex not show up. On top of that, they notified me that I wasn't home to accept delivery. A complete lie, I never left my house. It cost me $400 per day to miss work, all because of their incompetence, I'll be missing another day. $800 lost, lies, and horrible customer service. Zero rating. Is anyone else tired of these abusive people. I paid almost $100 to have a package shipped overnight from Mesa, Arizona to Escondido. I shipped it overnight because it was needed today. I received an email from FedEx on 2/26/25 advising the scheduled delivery was set between 9:20 am and 1:20 pm. I was advised I had to be here at my home to sign for the package. I stayed home from work. I received a second email from FedEx today advising the package would be delivered between 9:20 and 11:20. I made plans for this afternoon. Then at 11:45 I looked on my phone and see delivery will be before 8:00 PM. I feel like I have been (am being) held hostage for almost 11 hours. I called FedEx and was told too bad that you missed a day of work and that "Overnight" does not mean you receive the package within the usable parts of the next day. I would give it less than one star. I see from other reviewers they have terrible problems with the delivery process of FedEx. Use UPS or even the post office. read more

I dropped a prepaid package off here that I was mailing through my eBay business. It weighed 2.5 lbs and the label was supposed to cost 10.92 for postage. The cashier weighed it and said everything looked great. When I was charged for the postage through eBay the following week, I noticed that I was actually charged $13.20 with no explanation for the increase. I called eBay. They said FedEx DOUBLED the weight to 5 lbs! I am shocked that they can do this and get away with it. It was a small Magformer tile set and I know for an absolute fact that it weighed no where near 5 lbs! It was just under 2.5 lbs. I have no recourse and just have to be out the extra $2.28. I've been waiting at home three days in a row and still have not received the package that was suppose to be delivered on 12/30/19. What have I learned in the over 12 conversations I have had with Fedex. 1. Their call centers can not provide you with anymore information then what's on there web page. 2. They don't always tell u the truth. 3. They more often or not can not be understood. 4. They do not always use their own drivers but pay outside companies to deliver their packages. 5. The outside service they use to deliver to Escondido reports ( in at least my case) that they attempted to deliver the package but in fact they never did. I discovered telephone number for from the Fedex personal from the operations facility (760 643-5715) at Oceanside, Ca. Manager Steve Hillman, operations director Micheal Salciccia. The reason I know that their never was a attempt to deliver my package is because their was never a notice on my door saying they were there. The people from this facility didn't bother knocking or ringing the door bell each of the times they "attempted to deliver" to my place. After the second attempt, I followed the instructions on the delivery sticker on my door and signed the back of it as signature authority for delivery. For the third attempt, they didn't even bother reading the signature I made on the sticker they left and instead placed another delivery sticker. The positive reviews with 5-star ratings must've been made by trolls, fake accounts, or NPCs, and add no real value. read more

So unreliable. Every time I order something and see that it's being shipped with FedEx, I immediately get anxious. I never know if the package will arrive at my door, or somewhere else. Just today I had to hunt down my package when I got the email notification that it was delivered, only to see that it was not at my door. When I checked the image in the email, I saw that it was delivered to another apartment and I had to use my detective skills to walk around my apartment complex, looking for the unit that matched the one in the photo (thankfully it was still there). It's not hard to see the building numbers on the sides of the building or the apartment letters next to the doors. This was just poor, inefficient, and sub-par work. read more

I have to say that our experiences with FedEx in general is kind of a pain in the butt. Missed deliveries because they can't read our business hours; missed deliveries that we're on a deadline for because there is no flexibility (for example, we're typically closed on Mondays, but we do make an exception for the holidays and for appointments) and reaching a human to help you is hit and miss--I've contacted them and had them send the driver back out and I've also had them give a basic verbal shrug and say, "It'll be delivered tomorrow". I had my package held there because that's what our regular driver suggested when we asked him to please not skip us over on Mondays for now. He told us that since we were marked as 'closed' that they wouldn't even load it on his truck, so have them hold it for pick up if it's an emergency. (And everything is this time of year!) Wendie was just cool as anything helping me get my package quick and also said she'd help me change the status from closed to open on Mondays. I very much appreciated the attentive service there today. It's a stressful time of year, and just having to make the drive in the rain and drive back to our business was enough for the day. This is the main Fedex shipping location for north county. It gets pretty busy in the afternoons as office staff from nearby businesses try to catch the overnight delivery drop off deadline.
