I have used this Staples for Amazon Returns, a passport photo, and office supplies. I think their products are more expensive than buying it on Amazon but they do have good sales. I went to make a return at the Staples on Vista Way, California. I waited my turn in line behind four people and when I got there, she said I was at the wrong place that I needed to go to UPS and I said no they told me to come to Staples and I showed her the label and she said no we need the QR code so I brought up the QR code, but she refused to help me till she helped four other people then she moved to another register when I said excuse me you're being rude. She's a black lady named Janet and I kept saying excuse me. I was here and they made me wait for two or three other people. I would never go there again never rude ignorant people work there. Another associate named Tyler was being very rude also and I asked for the manager and he said I'm the acting manager I would never recommend that to anyone. read more

I was kind of disappointed. I walked in, on a Saturday. It was an hour and fifteen minutes before the store was going to close and requested help printing. I was politely dismissed by the staff. The ladies communicated that they were not taking any more walk-ins and I was welcome to use the self print machines. They handed me a card with the Staples email to send my documents so that I can print them myself. I tried to figure it out on my own, and when I asked the staff member how much the cost of printing was for one page with color on it, she told me that the machine would tell me. The staff seemed more preoccupied with whatever orders they had to finish for the rest of the evening. I left empty handed. It seems the staples didn't care for my business. read more

I went to Oceanside Staples to return an Amazon item, and there was only one girl behind the counter and she was on the Printing services side, she had her hands full with 4 customers, and they all had issues with their orders. So the Amazon line I was in was completely ignored. Several people left, then one of the ladies in line asked one of the cashiers up front if they could help us, he said oh sure, he took his time to come over, and finally helped us about 10 minutes later. He saw us all standing there the whole time I was there, and he only had a few customers during that time, and he had a second cashiers helping him, he could have helped us, but chose not to, until someone asked him. I was there for 30 minutes for a simple one item return. Very disappointing. read more

The worst customer service. Mark, I believe, the store manager, always seems bothered when asked a question and is quick to point you in the direction of an item rather than walking you over. He seems to operate under the presumption that if you couldn't find the item it doesn't exist in the store. Online showed their hours being open til 9pm so l went and arrived around 8:10. Nope. Closed. I saw 3 men still casually standing around and talking by the registers through the window that is in front of the parking lot. So l knocked on it hoping they could tell me if another location was open. Totally ignored me. They knew l was there and were blatantly ignoring me. They came out about 2-3 mins later after a young security guard was trying to help me but didn't have keys to open the doors that were locked already so he couldn't hear what I was asking. Once the men came out they were extremely rude (not the young guy who was trying to help me). Saying over and over they were closed. No kidding. I hadn't gotten the memo . I simply said online their hours are listed as still being open til 9. They said well it's been 8pm for 6 months now. I said well maybe someone needs to update that since it's been 6 months. They said "someone in Boston" makes those calls. Wow. No interest in keeping correct info for your store? There is no pride here. I asked if any other Staples stores were open. After being told no around 3 times finally one said to try the Carlsbad store. The Carlsbad location was in fact open til 9. But l will no longer come to this location as their customer service is absolutely appalling. I may not even frequent Staples again as there are other alternatives and I have not had great experiences for awhile here and at other locations. Good help must be hard to find because this business sadly exudes that feeling. read more

My appointment at the Loker Staples location in Carlsbad was done in 15 min, no problem. 3rd time my fiancé has tried the same process at this location (closer to home) and this time they can't confirm her birthday, and can't work around it, and can't take her as a walk in. The order was not processed as promised and was 3 days later than promised. It was also the wrong order with incorrect size, scale and paper upon pickup but by that time too late to change it. A business card is a crucial symbol of your identity and that of the firm you represent. My decision to choose Staples was based on the fact that I've previously used their services without issue. I designed my own business cards today and had them printed online. The proofs looked great, but when they were printed, the print seemed too small and the cropped section didn't align. I had to return them. Emily, the customer support representative I spoke with, was excellent in resolving my issue. After she described the problem, she gave me the advice and said, "We want you to be happy with your cards," and offered to resubmit them for free and have them ready for pick up the next day. I appreciate how well Emily handled the matter. It is imperative that the top management at the company recognizes Emily as an outstanding employee. read more

I have been so happy to have a office supply store thats still here and so close by during this pandemic and the transition to working from home. I know I can run to Staples and find anything I really need. There is always someone at the front to welcome you and ask you what you're visiting for, and offer any assistance in finding what it is you're looking for. Staff always seems friendly and helpful. Best thing I realized is that their printing/self help printer is SO MUCH BETTER than it's competitor just a little ways down the street. I had been going there bot realizing I could go to staples for my printing and scanning needs, and was paying a ridiculous amount, in addition to dealing with their super rude staff. I was greeted by both employees, Jeramy called my phone as soon as my order was ready was friendly and professional. I was thankful that Adam took time to get my order together and liked how Jeramy and him worked as a team in communicating and coordinating how my manual could be best printed . I just picked up my business card order (500 cards) from Staples on Vista Way in Oceanside, CA. They are outstanding!!! I ordered my cards last night and in less than 24 hours I was contacted to ensure they had my order correct and within a hour or so they were ready for pickup. I am so pleased with the results and the friendly printing center staff. The young lady was on the ball she even checked to ensure my QR code worked as it should. I had ordered business cards in November from a supposed "Overnight" online place that cost twice as much for 125 cards (1/4 the amount I got at Staples) and after two months they finally gave me a refund because they couldn't get my order correct. I came here to laminate some pages in a book for a career fair. The people at the printing center knocked it out of the park. They were friendly, fast, and attentive. Someone helped me cut up the book into separate sheets and laminate them. They also helped me with some ideas to make the activity go more smoothly, such as using a clipboard and cleansing wipes. I went in to pick up an online purchase order that I had shipped to the store to avoid ground shipping fees. Took longer than I expected because they couldn't find it. The manager was extremely nice and did all he could to help locate my order, so that was a plus. I wasn't expecting to wait 20 minutes though! The employee that was helping me did come out and talk to me each time after looking for it at their different delivery locations. He didn't give up at all! So great job, guy in glasses! Luckily for them I was in a good mood, so I was pretty patient. Haha. Had I not have been...yikes!!! Kudos to their managers customer service skills for keeping me happy that whole time.
