I used to just print at Staples for work event flyers and things like that then Staples in San Marcos closed. I wish that I had come here sooner because this place is so much better for the printing that I need! I just bring my flyers already 4 to a page on a thumb drive and they take it from there! They are very quick, helpful and print great quality. We have run out of flyers at CSUSM and been able to go here for a quick print of more. They do not charge extra to cut pages and everything is nicely wrapped after too. I won't go anywhere else to print event flyers. I miss printing here as I now work from home and only have virtual events but if you need to print, support this business! read more

Goodbye FedEx Office! Hello Cal Copy! Stopped in just to get a price on some color copies for an event mailer. Dramatically more affordable than "the competition". I didn't need them right away, but she said she'd have it done while I waited, if I wanted. How could I not! Walked across the strip mall for a Big Gulp and by the time I got back, everything was printed. She through them through the folding machine and we were done! I will definitely be back for all my future printing projects! read more

I have no clue how this place makes any money. I'm sure their services are needed for big jobs (binding, laminating, etc) but on the day I went in, they probably lost money. I needed to have a copy made of a document- 2 pages. There was one worker in the store and she was ALL business. A simple hello, made my copies, charged me 25 cents, and that was the end of our transaction. Really. They don't offer any mailing services here but the post office is right across the street from them. Easy. Close to my house, close to a post office, and plenty of parking in the back. 3 stars. read more

As the owner of a print design firm, Hahn Design Studio, I recommend a small list of printers to my clients that deliver the best quality at the lowest prices. I want my work to look great when it's printed. I know that I just added Cal Copy San Marcos to my list. I normally use a company that's in a different county, but my client needed their flyer the next day. I sent the file to Cal Copy San Marcos at 3 pm and they had it ready at 9 am the next morning (the same time they open). This file had a 1/8" bleed, full color on one-side, on gloss copy, so it's not like they could just hit print. There was production involved. Their speed, high quality, and professionalism is on part with my preferred printer, but they are local! read more

My firm outsources big copy jobs. We really only have so much manpower and the single copy machine in the office would explode with all the copies we needed. I was turned on to this place by a client and decided to give it a go. 300 pages, double sided, comb-bound books with tab dividers...times FIFTEEN COPIES. I gave a call to the business and Farideh, the owner answered. She understood everything as I explained it, I emailed over the pdf copies in the order needed and gave her about 24 hours notice. I made a phone call, sent a file clerk to pick them off and they were perfect and professional! I am always nervous to give instructions over the phone, but our lines of communication met in perfect harmony. I am only docking one star because when I called at 8:00 a.m., Farideh told me that they were ready. If they were ready sooner, I would've liked to know and a phone call would've been great relaying that info. But the quality and price were unbeatable. I will definitely be back. read more

Needed to fax 10 pages but didn't want to pay the $20.00+ price other places were charging. I called Cal Copy and was told $1.00 a page to fax. I went there half way expecting a bait and switch for some minimum price, up-sale, etc. Nope. Just as quoted on the phone, a buck a page. It appears to be a one person shop since I didn't see anyone else there working and she was multi-tasking with laminating, working on copies at the same time she was sending my fax. Without asking, she waited until she received the confirmation page for the fax sent. She also double checked that the confirmation showed 10 pages being sent. I've seen some negative reviews regarding a surly attitude but I did not encounter that. She is a little quiet but I found her to be professional and efficient. read more

I ordered a looseleaf copy of an e-book which was 800 pages and needed binding done on the book. I left my book and 30 mins later it was done for a decent price. :) Highly recommend them for photo-copy, binding, lamination etc. read more

For the sake of your own sanity, DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS!!! It is run by a disgruntled, angry and impatient woman who acts as though she is doing you a favor even though you're paying to have the service done. I went in to have some documents notarized. Simple, right? HECK NO! When she refused to notarized all the documents, I made the mistake of asking "why?". Pandora's Box opened and I was now facing an angry, hissing snake. She began a rant which included that she did not having to explain anything to me, how I was wasting her time, etc. I was stunned. Again, unless you want to experience the antithesis of "Customer Service", DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I got school slides printed but many of the slides were not in color. I payed extra for this service but they skimped out. Also the files printed were not current. They printed an old PDF version of the slides. I found a slide that had a missing picture. It's cheaper to waste a few hours and print it at home the correct way. read more
