We needed to get some passport photos. Came here where it was $14.99 for passport photos (2). Pretty fast, we got there around 10:15AM on Saturday 11/5, took them. The employee there let us see the photo he took, and then he worked on printing them. We were out of there around 10:20am after paying around $30 for them. They also offer services for business cards, rubber stamps, address labels, letterheads, banners, keys, notary public, document shredding, scanning, binding, laminating, and live scan finger printing. The staff is great and friendly. You can have a lot done here. The prices are better than the UPS store. You can get your passport photo done, notary, mail off through every carrier, get copies, do a fax and all while having a drink from there refrigerator. First visit was to get passport photos taken- walked in (they were not busy at this time) & was out in about 5 minutes. No appointment was made/needed. Second visit was to get a refund. The USPS agent did not accept them and I had to retake/repay at time of my passport appointment. USPS gave me a stamped/signed document to confirm they did not accept the photos. I returned with my receipt, photos, and the USPS photo (all places give you two) for comparison and was refunded without any issues. USPS could be easily declining photo so they can charge for photo themselves. I was impressed with the no hassle refund. They have a lot of very creative and unique gift giving nick-nacks & packages. Me and my Lady stopped by here for some copies for her college class. When time to pay was $4.00 for 6 black & white copies. Never again highway robbery they should be ashamed. The UPS Store charges 16 Cents where I work for black & white copies. Also the Indian Gentleman had the Audacity to say computer time when questioned about the price, all we did was send an email to be printed we didn't even touch or use their computer. Through my business travels, I have done business with many different shipping centers. I have to say, this is by far the most professional and personable one I have gone to. When you walk through the front doors they all know your name (and that seems to go for a lot of their customers). Although I haven't used their notary services; everyone on staff is a licensed notary. So if you need a notary done, you are able to walk in knowing you are going to be taken care of. I have been using this particular Postal Annex for the last couple of years. Dan (the owner) and his staff are great at getting me taken care of and on my way in a timely matter. Unlike other shipping companies, where it takes me over 30 minutes to ship a small package. Their prices are very fair. They have a lot of useful stationary supplies, office products and greeting cards for those last minute occasions. This place is alright. Got pressured to pay with cash, and even asked to use the ATM. I'm using credit because I don't have money. I understand you make more on cash transactions because of the fees charged associated with cards, but I came across town because of the great yelp reviews. I suggest you not use this notary at this location 970 W valley parkway escondido CA 92025. He is not knowledgeable in the requirements in the state of CA for his certified notary signature to be valid. My documents were rejected after paying for eight signatures due to an acknowledgment page required for specific wording to make his signature valid In CA. Made two attempts to correct issue, language barrier may also be an issue. He refused both attempts to correct the issue after showing him proof with an explanation of the error and having to pay someone else to correct his error. He can review store video for further proof. The state of Ca will receive my complaint and request for certification re-evaluation read more

My experience at this location was great as far as customer service but the cost of printing 196 copies at .25 apiece is what shocked me. After asking for a volume discount, the gentleman brought it down to .22 apiece so my 196 pages cost me $44 plus tax! I thought this was really high so I called around to a few other local Postal Annexes for pricing and I was quoted .10 and .11. It was my fault for not asking the price ahead of time, but I thought most places charge roughly .10 apiece. The gentleman said he would give me a discount next time but unfortunately there won't be a next time. Sadly he was looking for a sale rather than a customer. read more

They are very friendly and will ship anything and everything for you, the owner is super cool and always greets me when I come in. They also have the funniest post cards EVER! Had not been inside there in a number of yrs cuz I usually use the post office to mail my packages. This pandemic has seriously messed up the USPS. Limited staff and tons or boxes. I mailed a birthday gift to my exchange student in Lubeck, Germany in Janurary. She always lets me know when she gets her gifts. after about two months, I hadn't heard from her. I went down to my post office to ask if they still had it. They said no and suggested that I call the 800 number on the back of the customs paper. This was June by now. I called then and was informed that her package was in San Francisco, stuck in limbo. Was told that when it leaves San Francisco, it will head to Germany. Her package sat at a San Francisco post office for 6 months, people!!! They actually mailed it back to me and they slapped a sticker on it saying that the customs paper was out of date. ??? Say what?? I took my package to the Postal Annex on W Valley Parkway. He gave me 8 choices for mailing it again. 6 of them were USPS of various price points. Nope! Not doing them again. The other two were DHL or FedEx. I chose FedEx. I paid a lot ($185) but they got it done. She had her gift in less than one week. Thank you FedEx International and the owner of this store read more

As a small business owner, this place is great. When I first started my buisiness I had a PO Box. What a mistake. Long lines, impersonal, and I never knew when a letter or package arrived. Moving to the Postal Annex, and this one in particular, was one of the best moves I have made. No more wasted trips checking an empty mailbox. I receive a text message when ever something arrives. I can call to get more detail if I need it. The friendly staff knows me by my face AND NAME. I occasionally forget my key, and all I do is ask for a key. I don't even tell them what my box # is, they just know, especially Erica who always has a quick hello and welcoming smile. The savings in gas alone, more than paid for the differential over the Post Office. On top of all the above, it is a one stop shop for UPS, FedEx, and the Post Office for both shipping and receiving.
