Hubbie and I had breakfast at Another Broken Egg in Morrisville. We arrived at a little after 9am and were promptly seated by a really sweet hostess who made polite conversation and had a wonderful sense of humor. When I remarked it was a bit early for a alcoholic drink menu, she responded with a total lack of gravitas appropriate to a fun filled morning out. "We have drinks designed to go with breakfast and you wouldn't believe how popular they are." When she could see that I was interested, she smiled and added for good measure. "Live a little, girl. You deserve it." If she only knew. Needless to say my husband was snickering by this point. I ordered the Biscuit and Gravy breakfast and my husband ordered the Eggs Benedict. Well, I should say from the jump that I am a picky eater and didn't pay close attention to what I was ordering. Their gravy is a flavorful medium to dark brown and loaded with sausage. I normally like it light. The server took it away and I discovered when we got the bill that she'd taken it off our bill. I was more than happy to have everything taken care of so smoothly and free of awkwardness. Now, her's the good part. I asked my husband to rate his Eggs Benedict on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfection. He quickly responded it would a 9 or 10, which I can easily believe by rapid pace he worked his way through the meal. He also raved over the coffee, saying he could tell it was freshly ground that day. Seeing him take that first drink, made the entire experience worth it. Long story short, we're definitely going there again and I plan to try their pancakes, because at the rate the other patrons were scarfing them down, I can tell they are going to be phenomenal. We found it to be a bit pricey for breakfast. My husband's bill came to a little over $19.00 not including the tip. We both agree that the ease of parking and great ambiance, coupled with the delicious food are a winning combination when we want something a little nicer than the CB. read more

I was excited when I saw Another Broken Egg Cafe while visiting North Carolina. I've always wanted to try the one back home in Florida but have yet to make it. Living up to its reputation of a great brunch spot, I left completely full and satisfied. I had the crabcakes eggs benedict and I added a side of andouille sausage. The crabcakes were full of flavor and crab! The spices of the andouille sausage paired weIl with the perfectly poached eggs and the light hollandaise sauce. My boyfriend had the cinnamon rolls french toasts which currently has him napping with a smile on his face. I am a tea lover so the box of various teas presented to me was a pleasant addition to my experience. I will definitely be visiting the Florida location near me. read more

Ordered over an hour ago. Still sitting here waiting for our food. People around us are getting their food who sat down after us. Every time we ask -- "We're a little backed up right now. It should be out any minute." When the food came out, we expressed our disappointment that and one of the servers (not the one assigned to our table to begin with) spat back at us "Well, your food's here now" and threw the plates in front of us. She said they were short staffed. Lady...I'm a nurse. Cry me a river. Doesn't give you the right to be rude. read more

I like the food here. It never disappoints. The waiters and other staffs are great. The only complaint I'd have is the food comes out really slow so don't come hungry or you will become hangry. We were seated right when we got in and the waiter got our drinks really fast. The place wasn't that crazy busy for such a long time of waiting for the food. read more

No very impressed. The pork sausage tasted more like a fried hamburger. Overall, overpriced. Could have eaten the same quality food from a McDonald's big breakfast, only cheaper. read more

This spot has the best bloody Mary's and coffee liquor to have your brunch with. Definitely will go again.

OMG when I tell you the service is so slow! I came here with 3 other people and the restaurant isn't even full which I think was crazy because I waited for atleast an hour and a half our reservation was for 11:10 and we got our food at 12:50. It was so disappointing because in the morning you want some nice breakfast but here it was disgusting and unflavorful. Also I forgot to add there's about 10 ppl waiting on the outside and inside for pickup orders when they should've been gone by now especially since they have people waiting out in the cold. Overall I would not recommend the only reason it has two stars instead of one is bc the customer service is alright only bc of our waiter. Thx for nothing and a 85 dollar bill read more

This will be my go to breakfast spot in Cary, NC now. I shared the Lobster and Brie Omelet and the Lobster Benedict and tasted the French Toast Cinnamon roll. We cleaned our plates, which is unusual, especially so early in the morning. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the grits were creamy and I crave the syrup on the French Toast. Coffee could be better and service was okay. I would definitely recommend to the breakfast lovers out there. read more

This was one of the first meals I had after moving to North Carolina. Let me start by saying that our server was so kind and welcoming, it was very appreciated even though they were pretty busy. The coffee was great, and yes I am a coffee snob. Even for my snobbish taste, I was still able to drink it black and enjoy it. I loved the shape of their mugs. One of my pet peeves are cafes that have odd proportioned mugs that are hard to hold or drink coffee out of. What is the point of having a mug that you can't comfortably drink out of? Seriously, isn't that counter-intuitive? I ordered the chicken and waffles which is basically go to. The last chicken and waffles I ate were in Seattle, right before I left, and my gosh they were terrible. I have literally never had any that bad. This was a total 180 from what I had at another broken egg. The waffle was light and fluffy, but hearty enough that I didn't just disintegrate when you put toppings on it. The chicken was tender inside and crunchy on the outside. It didn't feel super heavy which I really appreciate because I hate feeling guilty for eating something so delicious. As breakfast places go, this one serves a mean breakfast. Thanks guys! read more

We visit this place often but no more. We went there this afternoon for brunch and had the worst experience. We ordered food and were patiently waiting for our food for an hour and half while we saw everyone that came after us getting their food. The waiter was not attentive and we had to check with another waiter for the status of our food. She was so rude when she finally brought the food and we had to refuse the food. She didn't even bother and the manager was a young man that doesn't have any managerial exprience. No reprimand of the waiter but was apologizing that we should not have been treated that way. What a joke! Stay away from this place! read more

I love breakfast and for an area that has so many restaurants, we don't have enough breakfast options. Another Broken Egg was a welcome addition to our neighborhood and their food is consistently good. I had the Eggs Benedict this morning as it is one of my favorites. Though for my personal taste the eggs were poached a little too long so the yolk was more solid than not. Still, they do a great job with eggs! One of my favorites here are the Blackberry Grits. It did not sound all that appetizing to me at first, but I'm addicted now. If you like grits and you like blackberries...you will love these. read more

My girlfriend and I were celebrating our dual birthdays together today and we decided to come here over la Farm which we normally go to. We waited almost 20 minutes for our server to approach us for our order and was pretty scarce the entire time we sat and ate. If it wasn't for the hostess Anjali we would have left. Her customer service and and great personality really set the mood for us. We wish she would have been our server. If you ever go here definitely ask for her. I had the crab cake Benedict and my better half had the skinny omelet. The food was great and our over all experience was great. Anjali thanks again for everything, your AWESOME!!! read more

Still the food I know and love from Durham location. Miss my flowers on the table in their broken egg vases ( cheesy maybe but it feels a little more homey somehow). Also I guess I'm spoiled by the joking around and fun attitudes around Duke One because it somehow feels like it was an effort for some of the staff to be here. There was an older waitress that definitely reminded me of Durham, she seemed to be having so much fun ( but I didn't have her) it won't keep me from coming but that fun attitude makes the day a bit brighter read more

We visited Another Broken Egg Cafe for brunch during our last visit to North Carolina. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 15 minute wait. This wasn't an issue for us, and we were able to wait comfortably because they had a nice waiting area with ample seating. When we finally got to our table, however, it was like our waiter forgot we were there. It was pretty difficult to get his attention. I understand the brunch crowd can probably get crazy, but we seemed to wait for a while just to put in our drink orders. We finally ordered our food, and then probably waited a good 45 minutes for our food to come out. They were pretty good and friendly about customizing the order if you wanted to substitute something which is definitely a plus being a vegetarian. I ordered the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes which came with eggs and I was able to substitute the meat side with potatoes. The staff did seem somewhat disorganized or distracted because when our food actually came out they had a few mishaps. They forgot my side of potatoes another with another side of potatoes for our table. In addition, someone else ordered a side of plain buttermilk pancakes and they brought her a side of the Bananas Foster pancakes instead. Additionally, they forgot to give our table syrup, and getting the waiter's attention to ask for some took FOREVER. At this point, it was already 2pm, and the restaurant had emptied out, so I don't know why it took so long to get service. I was really excited for the pancakes because they sounded delicious and unique. Also, after waiting for so long I was just starving. However, I was a little disappointed. The pancakes were extremely DENSE. There was absolutely no fluffiness to them and they just weren't that amazing. They honestly seemed like some average blueberry pancakes. I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Another Broken Egg Cafe because I've heard good things about the place. The restaurant itself is cute and casual, however, the service is pretty inefficient and the food was just average. read more

The West Raleigh/ Cary Area needs more breakfast places. Period. And I'm talking about eggs and hashbrowns and coffee for $5.99 at break-neck speed kinda places. Tuesday night, Sunday morning? And no, Denny's and Another Broken Egg Cafe ain't cuttin' it. I was excited to try Another Broken Egg. Because I am excited for breakfast. I called ahead for seating. It was a good idea, but we still waited, because they were packed to the ceiling. (Another sign there is not enough breakfast in this city) I had an avocado and bacon omelet and my date had the chorizo omelet. The food was fine. Not quite enough flavor for their Mexican themed omelets, but fresh and good. The potato hash browns were too dry. The food took a long time. The coffee didn't stay full, but they were very very busy. The hostess got into a little tif with one of the waiters, which we overheard because the place is so close together. I will go back, but only on the condition that I am celebrating pay day, because we paid WAY too much for 2 meals and a coffee. The bill is out of control. Too rich for my blood. read more

I made an unplanned stop at Another Broken Egg and what a delightful stop it was! The cafe has a homey, country kitchen feel with a bit of rustic flair in the open and spacious dining room. As expected, chickens and eggs are a common feature on the walls and on shelves. The menu is expansive offering not only breakfast but lunch items as well. You can find low-fat and vegetarian items sprinkled in with mouthwatering decadent items. (Brie being a common ingredient... Be still my beating heart!) I tried the "Salmon Benny" with a side of hollandaise (made fresh every morning.) Two poached eggs on a layer of smoked Alaskan salmon atop a cream cheese toasted bagel generously sprinkled with capers, red onion, and seasoning. Holy. Cow. It was scrumptious. I practically inhaled it! I had a side of deliciously seasoned potatoes and they were just as tasty. I couldn't stop munching on them! The best thing is that they have a small bar and offer Bloody Marys and coffee liquor drinks. What a bonus! The staff members were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I could catch snippets of pleasant conversation happening at other tables among the yummy sounds people were uttering in between bites. The restaurant was hopping even on a late-morning weekday, so you know this place is a winner! Overall, a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back and try more. Two thumbs up without a doubt! read more

First visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe. Service was very good and Bloody Mary was about average. Had one of the Eggs Benedict dishes and it was excellent. My problem comes with value. I am continually annoyed by restaurants that do not include a small drink with a kids meal. $2.00 for a kid to get a drink is way over priced and brings their meal to around $7.00. Way to expensive for a kids meal. I get a better deal for dinner at Tribecca. I know drinks are an easy profit area for restaurants but that seems a little high. I will return but never with kids. read more

I am so torn between 3 and 4 stars. On one side, the food that I've ordered has always been good. The bacon is AWESOME. The service is usually very good (we had a male server 2 visits ago that was one of the best I've ever encountered). On the other side, this is breakfast food. Two pancakes, eggs, and bacon shouldn't cost almost $10. You should get more than 2 pieces of bacon for that price. A side pancake shouldn't cost $3.50. The diner in my hometown serves the same food and the same portions at nearly the same quality for half those prices. The wait can be ridiculous at times. The parking stinks if you don't arrive before the rush. Overall, not a bad place to eat breakfast/brunch if you arrive early and don't mind a $12 meal with a drink. But it's nothing substantially different or better than Perkins, Briggs, or IHoP. read more

The busy hustle and bustle of brunch is not handled appropriately took a pager with a 40minute wait on a Saturday. Gladly walked around the plaza to conserve room for other patrons in the tiny lobby area after being told we would be paged 45 minutes later we were still waiting with the list showing 20 names being seated before us. Better organization here could steam line this process don't want to stare at the hostess in order to be seated. read more

This place was just "meh". The food was mediocre (my kids pancakes actually tasted like play doh), the service was slow and our server forgot food in our order and never offered refills. I finally made it for brunch. You can tell it is a hot spot with a 30 minute wait. The only negative thing I can say is the host staff is probably the most disorganized mess I've ever seen. I was a front of house manager and trainer for over 10 years at a very busy restaurant. If I had left tables open for 20 minutes with that kind of wait I would have been fired. Ultimately it takes money out of the servers pockets and starts the dining experience on a sour note. With a limited waiting area, the group waiting spills into the dining area. This means the customers can see every open table. At one point I counted over 10 open. When they finally sat them, they did it all at once which impacts the kitchen. Once we did sit down everything was great! I had a lovely omelette and my friend had one of the scrambles. It definitely hit the spot. I will definitely return, but I hope they tighten up the host staff and FOH management. That would take this review to 5 stars. read more

Excellent food and service. Worth the wait. Use the app for waitlist works awesome.

I've been to Another Broken Egg café a few times for brunch, and I left each time very satisfied. It does get very busy on the weekends, and I would recommend showing up 30 min. before you actually intend on eating. I would definitely recommend getting a cup of coffee. It is very good, a lot better quality than most other brunch places. We also tried the beignets since many menu items were inspired by New Orleans, and they were good, but not as authentic the ones I had in New Orleans. They're more like mini beignets pieces covered in powder sugar, and they come with a really good fruit jam dipping sauce (either apricot or peach). I would prefer them to go a little easier on the powder sugar. For my breakfast entree, I had the crab cakes egg benedict, and it was really flavorful. The crab cakes were surprisingly bigger than I expected with good junks of jumbo lump crab meat. They were great quality crab cakes, pan seared perfectly. They were served over English muffins with two perfectly poached eggs on top, all smothered in a light, yet delicious hollandaise sauce. Along with a generous amount of home fries, it was a really filling breakfast. I've also tried the popeyes scramble that came with scrambled eggs, spinach, bacon, onions, and Monterey Jack cheese. The scramble was tasty, especially with the perfectly crispy bacon and spinach really giving it most of the flavor. The Mardi Gras omelette is also really good and definitely unique with the mini crawfish and shrimp inside. The hollandaise sauce really pulls the dish together and gives it a more New Orleans taste. Overall, Another Broken Egg is a great place to get a solid breakfast/brunch. Their egg entrees are good, and they give you some very generous portions. I've been about three times and have never been disappointed. I've also tried their bananas foster at a Yelp event and it was amazing. It was sweet, rich, and truly embodied a great bananas foster Too bad I'm always too full to get it at the actual restaurant. read more

Had a great brunch here with friends today! We went at 10:45 and had to wait 30 minutes to be sat. The hostess and front end personnel were super nice! When I went to check on the status of our table (after 35 min), they said we would be sat shortly, and we were! Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. We ordered and the food came out shortly. I ordered apply juice and the Lakeshore Scramble (with no onions). On first sight, it didn't look like a lot of food, but it I could barely finish it! The scramble was light and fluffy, and the bacon and mushrooms were folded in, with the cheese on top. The hashbrown potatoes were really good, and the English muffin was warm and fluffy! We will definitely be returning to Another Broken Egg! read more

I was a bit hesitant to try out Another Broken Egg Cafe as my boyfriend had ventured to the location in Durham and was less than impressed. But, it was Sunday morning and we were ready to eat before 9am - and Another Broken Egg Cafe came through! I ordered the Garden Omelet (while the menu cites fresh mushrooms, I had a hard time believing they were not canned): spinach and tomatoes were tasty and it was smothered with Swiss cheese (nothing unusual for breakfast places but does one really need THAT much cheese??). The omelet was fluffy and still tasty with some cheese scrapped off. The potatoes were delicious - not too salty and great crisp! My boyfriend ordered the Popeye omelet - his comment: "heavy but good". We ordered a side of the baked bacon - YUM! I actually would throw in another half star just for the bacon. While the mugs it was served in were great, the coffee was really mediocre, especially for those prices. The service was great and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. Not a go-to breakfast spot but one where a lot of different palates can be satisfied (and definitely get you some baked bacon!) read more

****Horrible, horrible experience!***** We arrived on a Saturday morning and were told that it was a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes and seeing several other parties going in, we asked about the wait - at least another 20 minutes. I peeked around the corner 5 minutes after that and noticed that the restaurant was 1/3 empty by that point and there were at least four 4-tops that could have easily been pushed together for our party of 5 - in addition to 2 booths - and 3 2-tops. Our horrible experience was topped off when a party of 2 came in and were seated immediately. And they hadn't called in ahead of time. We were only bumped up on the list after complaining. Our bill for 5 people was $80. We will never be back. read more
