So let me just say that I am a fan of & Waffles 100%! They have only been open for 3 months but you couldn't tell. The team are an amazing group, very welcoming. Daniel was our server and he was so nice! The customer service is stellar. Now the food... DELISH! The chicken sausage has no casing and I loved it, fresh and flavorful, the burrito is nice and pudgy filled with fresh eggs, cheese and hash browns. The red velvet waffles are crispy, light and fluffy. The blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries were so tasty. All of the food we tried had me dancing in my seat! The caramel iced coffee had the right amount of everything, sweetness, and the caffeine ZING! That I needed. Long Beach has plenty of breakfast spots but this place, you gotta try & Waffles asap. Cheers! read more

So helpful, friendly and on top of it! Now the food ... quite a large menu but we all decided to give the breakfast items a try and we really enjoyed our food! We tried the waffle breakfast sandwich, waffle cheeseburger and biscuits and gravy combo ... everything was delicious. We will definitely be back to try out more items! read more

We loved & Waffles so much that we ate there two days in a row. The property itself is clean, well lit, and modern. The food is particularly good. Our first morning there, my wife had an avocado toast that looked so good, I ordered it the second morning. The staff is friendly and on their game. We had different servers each morning, and were happy with both. & Waffles is now my go-to breakfast spot in Long Beach. Great job! read more

Finally, it's open! We have been waiting for this spot to open up and it did not disappoint. We got seated right away. The servers were very friendly and welcoming. The decor is cute and inviting. There is parking structure nearby and some paid street parking in the area. Couldn't decide what to get. They have such an assortment of choices! I'll definitely have to return. read more

From the time I entered til the time I exited this spot was great. I came through the parking structure entrance and was warmly greeted, and instructed to sit wherever I liked. After doing so I was greeted (by whom I found out later was the owner) as well as Valerie, my waitress shortly after. I ordered my breakfast staple, which is now called "the Cadillac" which is hot coco and coffee with whipped cream on top. After perusing the menu I decided on my breakfast and it didn't dissapoint. I had the polish sausage, home fries, and scrambled eggs... and added the strawberry Nutella half order of waffles for sweetness. Everything came out hot and fresh, and they even waited to send the waffles which I prefer (I love my pancakes or waffles hot and after I eat breakfast). I realized they also had mimosas so...in true big-back fashion, I decided to get one of those as well. I had the guava-mango and it was stellar! All-in-all this was a great breakfast spot and im glad I decided to look for breakfast in the LBC and stumbled across this place. Ambiance, food, and staff were amazing and i'll be back, soon! read more

He wanted & Waffles because new in town. I said sure why not? *I showed up with the bar between Waffle Window (PDX) and Roscoe's (which we don't talk about anymore). Why. Why is a soft drink from the fountain $5+? Why is caffeine $7+? *(unless you're drinking a cup of joe) Why is a side of cottage cheese $5.50? Who made the menu? The whole thing is lacking details so much so that the sweet waiters have to explain because while you're sitting there with sticker shock, you're also confused af why all the waffles aren't under "authentic Belgian waffles. " Instead you're stuck with waffle combos and sandwiches (with an option to top with sweet stuff), then sweet waffles in an entirely different section. The food? I'll hand it to em. Yes, their chicken and waffles are better than Roscoe's. But the jalapeño hamburger thing I got... Oof. *I asked for the patty to be on the side because a jalapeño and cheese waffle sounded lovely. The waffle was bland with jalapeños diced inside, with a cheese slice unmelted on top of my egg. The patty was asked to be "medium" and was served raw aka you can smear it with your hands. I get it. Mistakes happen. BoH quality control PLEASE before you harm someone with raw meat (during bird flu that has now crossed to cows). *My jalapeño meal was comped 50% off due to the aforementioned. read more

We actually planned to try another brunch spot but when we arrived the line was way too long. Our family looked in the area of another spot to try and found this gem. Only been open for 2 months and so happy we ended up coming here. Christian was our server who took the absolute best care of us. His recommendations were 10/10! The Cajun spiced chicken and waffles were amazing and I even substituted my waffle for a fruity pebbles waffle. Best decision!! Waffles were light and fluffy and the Cajun chicken had such a great crunch. For drinks I tried Fatima's Iced Coffee which had just the right amount of sweetness topped off with whipped cream, caramel and churro sugar. Also tried the honey lavender latte which was so tasty with a good lavender punch. A MUST TRY! this is our new favorite breakfast spot! read more

Some of the best chicken and waffles my wife and I have had in Long Beach. We had an errand to run in DTLB, so took a walk to enjoy the weather. We passed by this place, remembering fondly the previous tenant (formerly Pier 76). Even though we had already eaten lunch (thus wasn't hungry) and was going to eat dinner later. I wanted to try out their food and it ended up being really good, better than my expectations. There is ample seating inside, and our greeter/server was super friendly. We told him we weren't really hungry, but did want to try their specialty so he suggested the Cajun Fried Chicken & Waffles ($21.99). The only choice of chicken is boneless breast meat. It came out pretty quickly and the meat wasn't dry at all. And the cajun breading was abundant, breaking off and adding spicy crunch to every bite. The waffles themselves were perfect, slightly sweet, fluffy. I understand a bit better the obsessions with chicken and waffles: a bit of chicken, a lot of the breading crunch, with a large piece of fluffy waffle and a good amount of sweet syrup...it's a great bite. Neither of us came in hungry, expecting most of the food home. Nope: we finished every last bite. read more

This breakfast restaurant continues to be my go to when I'm visiting Long Beach. The food is very good, I had the Cajun breakfast scramble in. It may have been one of the best scrambles I've ever had and this is what I typically order when I go out to breakfast and I feel is the measure of a good breakfast restaurant. Plenty of seating, free parking close by which is a huge plus, near all the Long Beach convention center hotels and the service is exemplary. I'd be hard pressed to find a better breakfast place not just in Long Beach but anywhere, highly recommended. read more

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on the Sunday morning after Valentine's Day. We did need to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but when we were seated we got a very good location in the back of the restaurant and our server was very helpful and friendly. I guess we are more pancake people, but we figured we should order the waffles at a place called "& Waffles" and boy! We were surprised. If all waffles tasted like this we would be waffle people. The waffles are firm on the outside but then it melts into a buttery, delicious and soft center. I ordered mine with blueberries and syrup on the side (had to ask for no sugar on top, I am not a sweet breakfast person) and it was the perfect combination. The bacon and eggs were tasty and filling. My bf ordered the eggs Benedict and he had no complaints! Overall very glad we tried this new spot in DTLB. Highly recommend for a nice breakfast or brunch spot. read more

The regular waffle doesn't taste like anything at all, and they get ice cold stupid quick. It was just meh. I thought butter would makes it better, but all I could taste was butter. The syrup didn't have much of a flavor either. Seems like you HAVE to get a special waffle just to taste anything. The vibe was cool and the server was nice. Just wish I'd tasted my food. read more

5 stars for the waffles & so good!! -3 stars for the service: We arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. Not very many people ahead of us It was a little warm but we wanted first available so were seated inside pretty quickly. And then we waited. And waited. 10+ minutes with no acknowledgement. And finally I flagged down a waitress who was bringing water to a table seated after us. She responded that she would "try to find" our server. Did I mention it was warm. About 5 more minutes and a waiter showed up. Ordering and receiving our food went okay. One person's plate was incomplete and didn't have syrup but it was remedied fairly quickly. Luckily since they didn't check back until we were about done. read more

It's rare when I whole heartedly give 5 stars but it's deserved. I've been coming in for the last 4 weeks straight on Saturday mornings and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. You walk in and it feels industrial with the black ceilings and concrete floors but it works the walls being white with the pop of yellow and the waffles tie in together, it doesn't give cold it gives someone thought this out even the chairs the brown texture you don't notice but it gives warmth and connects the colors of the waffles. You're greeted warmly and promptly as soon as you walk in, there is no lack of energy or content, you're seated and you noticed the staff working together seamlessly. A couple seconds go by and poof your waiter appears. I can't express enough how each time I've been I've had a great experience with each waiter/waitress. You wouldn't think a waffle place has great service and that's where they shine besides the food. Energy, attentiveness and connection. Each waiter/waitress has gone out their way to check in and make sure everything was going well more times than I could imagine. You might be wondering about the food I was too, I didn't expect much. I thought another waffle place, just pass me the syrup and keep my water coming and I'll be fine. And then you take your first bite and the fluffy, crispy but airy delicious waffle hits your tastebuds and you're hooked! The powder sugar on top is the perfect amount and the strawberries are a good balance. I also ordered the chicken breast and if you order it extra crispy it comes perfectly cooked. I didn't expect it to be so seasoned as in I had nothing to add. It was if I made it at home, chicken breast cut in half so it's evenly cooked with every bite and the spices just hit! I also ordered the biscuit and gravy because well I just had to, you can't pass up a good gravy. The waitress said it was seasoned and my face lit up like a Christmas tree, my only thought was I hope it's not too salty. When I bit into it, it was like how gravy should be, good texture not to runny not to thick but balanced. I didn't even add salt or pepper and that's huge! Just make sure when you order it say no chives they're not needed. read more

After seeing a post about this on Instagram, my friends and I really wanted to try it. And oh my gosh, what a yummy menu they have! The server was great, I wanted chicken and waffles but with all the different flavors of waffles, I wanted to see if I could mix a match and I was able to do so! So I ordered half regular waffles and the other half of the order was churro waffles. And I wanted the chicken, I asked our server about the Cajun chicken and he highly recommended it saying it was not spicy. So it's a little bit of hesitation because I'm always worried about spicy, I ordered the Cajun chicken and waffles. Can I say... That Cajun fried chicken was amazing! It was so good... It was tasty, soft not tough, and it was not spicy whatsoever. But super flavorful! Highly highly recommend the Cajun spiced fried chicken! The churro waffles were good, as for the plain ones. It was a lot of food, it wasn't inexpensive though... But being able to take the leftovers home for another meal made it worth the price. FYI, their corn beef hash is canned... Which I actually love canned corn beef hash but not for the price at a restaurant. My other friends ordered their regular breakfasts, and the girl in our party whose birthday we were celebrating turning 19, she ordered the cake batter waffles I believe? She loved them. We highly recommend this place... Good sized portions, unique flavors and a wide variety of meals to choose from. read more

Let me just say...we were in Long Beach for 8 days and came here not 2 but 3 times and my son came here 4 times! Need I say we liked it a lot!! The waffles are to die for!!! We came to & Waffles today for the first time. Wow.... Luckily we arrived early before 9 AM because there was already a good amount of people dining. The restaurant is spacious and clean. We were greeted and then seated in a booth right away. ALL of the staff were friendly: our servers were great and offered excellent recommendations. Everything we ordered (see pics) was excellent: I had the smoked salmon omelet with Gruyère cheese on top which was delicious. The waffle was perfectly cooked. My husband loved that Cajun Country Skillet: it was a huge dish so he brought some home. Our server had the churro waffle cut into sticks so we could share it easily. My honey lavender latte was delicious (and I'm not a coffee lover so this was a nice option). Service was excellent, food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I love this place! I eat here atleast once every 2 weeks if not more often. It's right by my home, thankfully. I love that when I'm running around I can pitstop to grab to go before heading home bec they give you a slip to get free structure parking. And there's a door to enter so you don't have to walk around. My go to is a BLTA (no tom) bec they have the best bacon and they put cheddar cheese on it! Delicious . My order is always $27 and change and I usually get the blta w/fries and a drink. It's high but everyone is high now a days and this place is worth it. It's clean and simple which I also like. And the staff are all super welcoming and friendly! Off to get my to go order now pictures coming.... read more

Came here for brunch on the weekend after hearing about the place on social media. They are located in Downtown, so finding parking is a little tricky. We just parked at the free 2 hour parking garage a couple blocks away and walked over. It was busy but we were seated right away. I ordered the matcha waffles and a coffee. The food was all delicious! We got the steak and eggs with 1/2 waffle side option. Also a side of hash browns to share. Asked for medium rare in the steak and was closer to a medium but was still juicy and needed a tiny bit of salt. Eggs yolks were perfectly runny for over easy eggs. Waffles were really good I tasted a little hint of a buttery croissant flavor to it with the waffle sweetness. They were soft with a little crisp. Coffee was good as well.
