What an amazing experience. Jeremiah was a phenomenal waiter and provided the best service we've received since visiting Austin. The food was 10/10 and you get what you pay for because the portion sizes are huge. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting and the location is nice being by the university. read more

Bottom Line: Great service and classy ambiance for a Saturday morning brunch. By the time we were ready to seek a Saturday morning breakfast reservations for a part of six we weren't able to get any reservations. We picked Acre 41 based on a combination of Yelp reviews and Open Table reviews and it was great! While this might not be a trendy spot, that was totally fine for our crowd of 40ish something's. Located inside a Marriott AC Hotel, we enjoyed the classy ambiance, quietness of the restaurant and excellent service. The food and drinks were also great. I personally enjoyed the ham and pimento cheese omelette, homemade biscuits and buratta on grilled bread. We also did a bubbles and brunch order for the table which was a flight of juices and sparkling wine. Service was awesome. Slightly less awesome was the still water on the table which tasted gross so we opted for some Perrier. Also a little disappointing is that when I called I was told there was a public garage across the street which was only $5 but when I looked at the website after the fact I realized I could have valeted for free for two hours but I probably would have tipped $5 anyway so I guess its ok. read more

We decided to come here for brunch on a Saturday after hearing good things about it from a friend. It was surprisingly not very busy and was super easy to just valet in the front. We were sat immediately and greeted by our server within moments. We started off with coffee, a Bloody Mary and the house made biscuits. The biscuits were so yummy. We devoured them pretty quickly. Then for our main dishes I ordered the prime rib French dip and my boyfriend order the Wagyu and Eggs. Both of out meals were really good. I especially loved the sandwich and thought the beef jus was flavorful. I'd love to visit again and try more. read more

Not worth the price. The Halibut my husband got was undercooked/almost raw and didn't have much flavor. It also had a fishy smell to it and had too much oil on it. got the burger and it was dripping in grease. For $20 for a burger I definitely did not expect the low quality of bun (bun was smashed) and presentation of the burger (it was sliding off the bun). The bun was also soggy from all the grease. My fires were cold. Overall a disappointing visit. Gave three stars because the drinks were really good and so were the appetizers. The desserts were a hit and a miss. We got the Peanut butter pie and key lime pie. The key lime pie had toasted meringue on it that tasted burnt which ruined the taste of the whole thing. They toasted the meringue for too long. read more

The easiest 5-star rating I can remember giving! The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Food: Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all awesome. We started with the barratta to start was great and the bread was so good! The halibut was amazing; it was a really, really small portion though. The desserts were fantastic. The key lime meringue was the best key lime pie I've ever had and our group also got the chocolate/peanut butter-type pie which was delicious. Service: really great waiter, fast service. The food, service, atmosphere 10/10. This was such an amazing little find. We had brunch here with a large group of 9 of us. Everything we ordered was so good. We started with biscuits, honey truffle burrata, and meatballs. The biscuits were absolutely delicious. I personally got the tres leches French toast and it was perfection. The service was probably the best we had our whole trip. We went to the rooftop bar after brunch and the views and cocktail menu up there were fantastic. Such a cute little spot to hangout. read more

My first time visiting this place recently and it was not at all what I expected it to be. From the pictures online you'd assume this place was a steakhouse and they have some great cuts of steak that definitely hold the price tag of what you'd expect at a steakhouse. The reason why I'm personally skeptical of calling it a steakhouse is because the ribeye we ordered was very flat in terms of flavor. It tasted fine? Yes. Cooked nicely? Of course. Seasoned and basted like a typical succulent steak you'd get at a steak house? Not even close. I'm sorry to be so harsh but if you love a good steak like I do, you might be a little disappointed with the ribeye. Even though it's $60. Maybe our expectations were too high but we definitely expected the steak to rival Ruth's Chris or Fleming's. Even Yard house has more unctuous flavoring to their meat. Maybe it was a bad night to go. We went on a Friday night and waited over 40 minutes for our entrees and that probably added to our disdain. Our server was friendly enough and we appreciated his recommendations for the other food we got. The lobster raviolo was delicious though the lobster was a touch on the chewy side. The creamed spinach might be the best creamed spinach we've ever had. Also our appetizer was the blue crab and artichoke dip which left us fighting the urge to lick the skillet it was served in. Ha! It was that good. I want to wrap this review up by saying that the two main things that make us not want to come back here is 1) towards the end of our meal a manager gave us the bill and our server came back later and told us it was the wrong one. Very weird and a bit unprofessional. And 2) the steak was the main attraction and we were let down. If you do decide to eat here you'll get decent service and great appetizers! read more

Sigh, it's so bad to write this review. As guests of the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a try. Huge mistake. We love the hotel so far, but we dinner was the worse that we ever had. Literally most of it went to waste or was left untouched after the first bite or two. We ordered really late (940pm with a 10pm kitcheb closing) so maybe we got the chef's tired cooking before closing, but we were seriously disappointed. The blue crab artichoke dip looked good but was flavorless. The ceasar salad required me picking through the Lettuce to discard wilted or browning Lettuce. The street corn was the best thing but was essentially not Street Corn but spicy corn stir fry. The burger was awful - barely more than meat and bread. The bone marrow was okay. The hostess was lovely so there's no hesitation there. Service was good by everyone we encountered except one bartender woman. read more

This restaurant was a surprise! Located in the Otis hotel. Great vibe, Since they have a bourbon bar, I ordered an old-fashioned and it was delicious. We started with the oysters Rockefeller and were disappointed. There were five oysters, not six, I got two my husband got three. This dish was good not great. It had what tasted like ham in it and spinach. I wouldn't order it again for the price. I had the scallops and this dish was amazing! My husband ordered the fillet with the lump crab on top and he absolutely loved it. John was our waiter and did a fantastic job. I drink a lot of water and it tasted very musty to me, I did mention it to John. Maybe that's just how Austin's water tastes. Overall, I would recommend acre 41. read more

Food was good but the service was less than mediocre. Our waitress was Nicole. She was super inattentive. She would disappear for long periods of time. We finally went to the bar to get another drink and the bar tender was also extremely rude and wouldn't take our order. She insisted that we order it from our waitress who we had not seen in 20 Mins. Must visit. This is my second time visiting Acre 41 and it doesn't disappoint. Wide selection of wines, cocktails, mock tails, apps and entrees. Started with the iron skillet cornbread which was super moist and fulfilling. Also had the crab dip which was super rich with tons of crab filling hit the spot! Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant in the lobby of the Otis Hotel. The service is unmatched. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal, Highly recommend! read more

Great ambiance, not too loud, amazing bourbon list, excellent food. The steak tartare was mouth watering as was the wedge salad with the giant slab of pork belly on top! The service was excellent. Did not try any entres as it was later and we weren't too hungry will definitely come back. read more

I was so glad to get the email that they opened again. The food here is so well thought out, I am never disappointed. I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine and their truffle burrata. Simple yet so satisfying, especially with the toasted bread. I have been craving a burger, so I thought why not here? The beef comes from a collaboration or close relationship. My burger was delicious and I LOVE shoestring French fries. I would also recommend the truffle spaghetti, which my friend ordered. I wanted to eat her entree too! The staff are attentive and I'm grateful to have the social distance protocols they do in place. read more

I used to love this place! The food and ambience are great and I used to come with friends, family, and for work. I'm so disappointed they are falling into the trap of nickel and diming their patrons. There is no parking around this restaurant because it's located on UT campus on extremely busy streets so you have to valet. Now they are charging $15 for valet alone and none of that even goes to the valet guy so you'd have to tip on top of that for them to get paid!! So disappointed they would do this to locals. I will no longer be coming here because how do I explain that to my business guests or family that after an expensive meal to be prepared to pay an additional charge to something that should be comped other than tipping the valet guy. read more

Was finally to hear this place opened back up after being closed for months during COVID. This place was outstanding from beginning to end. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a lot of beautiful lighting and wall decor not to mention a kick ass vinyl collection you can check out. Beyond that the food was amazing. For apps we tried the spinach & artichoke dip and for entrees we went with the king salmon & truffle pasta. The king salmon was super flavor and the truffle pasta was so rich & indulgent but nonetheless great. The service was also notch as our waiter was curious, knowledgeable and even gave us a sneak peek of the upstairs bar. This place can be a little pricey but worth the money. Highly recommend you check out if your in the the UT area or looking for a nice night out. read more

Nice service! I went on a Sunday night and ordered the wagyu burger medium rare. The burger was cooked to perfection and was super juicy. The fries were also crunchy and super tasty. The attention from the staff throughout our dinner was fantastic! Monte was our main server and offered a lot of suggestions for us to try during our dinner. The bar drinks were on point. Monte checked on us frequently and made sure we were happy with our selections . The food was served quickly and hot. The crab, spinach and artichoke dip, salmon and New York strip were all top notch. The place has dim lighting but that is normal for a steak house. Highly suggest trying this restaurant. read more

Y'all lied. 4.5 stars tells me you: 1. Have never been to a good restaurant 2. You've been living under a rock 3. Or, this place has gone to the crapper My oysters came still attached to the shell. My shrimp cocktail came out raw. I'm a HUGE sushi fan, but shrimp cocktail should be cooked medium, or medium rare. Not raw. They were still limp and translucent. The halibut entree should be called a salad. It's overwhelmed with cilantro and tomato and the fish itself was flavorless and tasted steamed. Absolutely horrible. The elote? Make sure you stir it before eating or you'll be choked by the chili and spices. On a good note - my NY strip came out great. +1 star. I normally don't comment on service but our waitress was green and didn't check on us after our entrees were brought to the table. Very disappointing experience and you should steer clear of this place unless you relish underwhelming and disappointing dining. Again, at 4.5 stars, you must enjoy mediocrity, Yelpers! read more

The advertising budget for this hotel was pretty high. It was everywhere on social media right before they opened. We're about to go to happy hour on the rooftop today but I also wanted to have lunch here so it looks like we'll be here twice today? maybe not. I rolled up to the valet guy and was totally ignored. I don't drive a junk car, he looked me straight in the eyes and proceeded to look down again. Am I not worth your service? Well I came out and stood there like a lost child until he came over to take my keys and gave me my ticket. That was already irritating. We sat at the bar and had lunch. The fish tacos and cheeseburger was delicious. I had the wagyu with elotes. The food was good, nothing to run home tell my moma about it. The portions were decent. The drinks were also good. I would bring friends here for a quick lunch bite. The bartender was super sweet as well. We were the only ones at the bar so he chatted with us for a bit. He talked highly about he rooftop pool and bar. I will be back there. Then I was rudely reminded of the valet. It took them forever to find my keys. How hard is it to find a bright pink key chain? There were two of them. I swear I waited longer for my car to come around than I did for my food. Free or not Id rather park down the street and walk over. read more

Acre 41 did not disappoint. We had the scallops and shrimp grits meals, an appetizer and dessert (bread pudding), all were cooked to perfection. The scallops had some delicious mushroom spears and some greens. It would have been appreciated if it featured a more substantial serving of greens and mushrooms. The stand outs for me were the Blue Jay mocktail (Blueberry, mint, vanilla, lemon, lime, ginger beer) and the bread pudding which had a generous portion of ice cream on top. I really appreciate when the restaurant goes to the trouble of making delicious mocktails. Service was excellent. FInally, restaurant was stunning with soaring ceilings and artistic lighting. The Otis Hotel has a fantastic restaurant which defies all usual hotel restaurant stereotypes by offering tasty food that was not overpriced. This local will be back again. read more

If I could give this a negative 5 stars I would. The dining room was half empty, we had a reservation and the hostess seated us at a table that was wrapped around a structural column, hard to describe but very unappealing, when we asked for another table she offered another one right next to the kitchen door, when I asked to sit across the room at one of the many vacant tables, she said no they had other reservations. Needless to say, we left. The hostess was extremely rude the entire time and rolled her eyes and said "ok whatever" when we told her we were going to leave. Pathetic customer service. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. While they validate parking for two hours, the information on their website about parking being $4 per hour after that for restaurant patrons is inaccurate. When we were driving out of the garage we were shocked to see a $48 bill at the machine. An attendant explained we have to tap the validated ticket twice to see the correct price, which was still $25 (the standard $12/hour charge). This parking situation was frustrating and unclear.

I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. They had a baked apple seasonal option while I was there and it was amazing. Traditional breakfasts are also delicious and far more manageable. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

Acre 41 blew me away from the moment I walked in. The architecture is stunning, and there's this warm, energetic buzz in the dining room that sets the mood perfectly. Our waiter, Jeremiah, was fantastic. Super friendly and personable, he made recommendations that were spot-on for our tastes. First up, the wedge salad. Let me tell you, the bacon on this thing was pure magic. It tasted like it came straight from heaven - perfectly smoked, perfectly seared, just incredible. For the entree, we went with the diver scallops. They were cooked to absolute perfection - light, fluffy, and simply divine. The grilled carrots were a great accompaniment, but the real star was the twice-baked potato. Jeremiah recommended it, and wow, did it live up to the hype! We went to Acre 41 for a birthday dinner with a group of nine, hoping for a high-end steakhouse experience -- unfortunately, it fell short in several ways. The service was extremely slow from start to finish. There were times when we couldn't find our server for up to 45 minutes, and we even ran out of water for quite a while. The automatically included tip probably didn't help the attentiveness -- it definitely felt like there wasn't much urgency or care once that was added. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The appetizers were excellent -- easily the highlight of the night -- and the classic Old Fashioned was perfectly balanced. However, the entrées were inconsistent: the pork came out overcooked and cold, while the steak was far too rare. The pasta dishes were fine, but nothing remarkable, especially given the upscale pricing. Overall, Acre 41 has potential, but the slow service and uneven food quality made the experience underwhelming. It was busy so some mistakes were made by our waitress but she definitely fixed that with a comped bread pudding and drink. The strawberry and mint mule was refreshing. The tuna wonton tacos were so fresh and they didn't skimp out on the tuna. The popovers were good, the elote street corn is authentic and get it if you like spice! The gentleman who served us made our birthday lunch occasion smooth and accommodating. I didn't get his name but he honestly made our lunch as smooth as possible even with my baby. Visited Acre 41 recently, we were greeted by the beautiful & friendly hostesses, Jalisa, Mairany, & the manager Jess. We sat at the bar where bartenders Brandan & Luke were very personable & attentive. We enjoyed drinks along with blue crab & artichoke dip, iron skillet cornbread, chili glazed chicken, salmon, & the belly on pork chop! All the food was amazing & the service was on point! This place is legit. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was super knowledgeable of the menu. The chicken was amazing as well as the burrata app. The cocktails were soooo yummy. The manager came and talked to us and he help us pick out the perfect wine for our entrees. Mondays wine is half off. Definitely one of my new favorite spots! read more

In-person dining. We had a 11:30 am reservation. Order was taken at 12:20 pm. Food was average. Went to pay and was told hotel and restaurant do not allow you to pay with cash for covid reasons. But you can use a credit card that everyone will touch! Come on Marriott get some common sense. read more

Came here for a work party, appetizers were great, drinks were good and I didn't know what to get for dinner so I ordered the chicken to be on the safe side. Fantastic chicken, didn't expect basic chicken to taste so good. Also their desserts were really really good. read more

Walked in to a nice dimly lit dining room, a little on the small side but the bar was prominent with a good array of western decor. Great menu as a result of varying interests. After spending some time in Austin I was looking for something. That was NOT MEXICAN. Don't get me wrong I love Mexican or Tex-Mex but this NE statesman needs a variety that is closer to home. The jalapeños were just like how I do it at home, sometimes I use Boursin cheese mixed in the cream cheese to get it a little more ridged when you cook it. Bacon was slightly charred and it had some rarer parts to it as well. I love that. I will be back for this before I go home this week. The Ahi Tuna was incredible as well, laced with chimichurri, which was more to my liking as opposed to the oily sauce that most are accustomed to. Great paring with the rocket salad and cherry tomatoes with chunks of avocados. I sat at the bar because I was wanting to leave to see the bats emerge from the congress bridge, another 1/2 mile walk down the road. I will be coming back before I leave. Truly worth every cent with the elevated service.

Lent is a 40-day period of spiritual preparation for Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday (symbolizing the need for repentance) and ending before Easter. Its main goals are reflection, repentance, and renewal. After observing Lent, our treat was brunch at Ciclo (Four Seasons Hotel). Ciclo hosted Easter Brunch and an Easter Egg hunt including the hotel's lake-level ballroom. The celebration included live music and lawn activities for hotel and brunch guests. The brunch included a cold buffet, hot buffet, carving station, benedict station, and dessert buffet. You also could order customized omelets from your table. Ciclo's brunch features gluten-free and vegetarian choices. OMG...the Four Season's Hotel and Ciclo restaurant looked as though a lush bright flowered garden had been quietly grown there. Flowers spilled over every surface from the hotel's entrance to the Ciclo restaurant out onto the patio. The floral arrangements were stunning. They also served as a beautiful backdrop for photos. In addition, we ran into ole friends at brunch, which was a pleasant surprise. The standout for us was the lamb chops (one of my favorites) and callosal-sized shrimp. The sweet potatoes and ham were memorable as well with perfectly spiced sweet potatoes. All desserts were good today, however, the Oreo cheesecake and sugar cookies were the highlights. Our server was so attentive and pleasant. Also, Abribal, the restaurant manager, came over to inquire about dining experience. Such excellent service... Dining a Ciclo today was superb!
