My group of 5 went to eat here on a Friday night and we only had to wait 5~ minutes. We ordered some CASS beer and some food. Tteokbokki (1/5) - some of the rice cakes were hard and the sauce was super watery and not tasty or spicy. Bibimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice, Stir Fried Glass Noodle, Kimchi Pancake - all 3/5 like average nothing special. Korean food in SF is pretty rare but there are definitely better options in the Richmond. read more

My husband and I ate here after a devastating Sweet 16 basketball tournament loss for our team. It was 11:30pm and there were only a few options open and serving food. We were greeted warmly and immediately felt welcome even though they were closing soon. Our server took the time to show us his favorite items on the menu and help us make our decisions. We started with the kimchi pancake which was excellent. Followed by the braised pork belly and stir fried glass noodles with beef . Everything was delicious and there was enough food for probably 6 people! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone but especially the late night crowd. This place is 맛있는! (delicious) We ordered the seafood pancake and chicken + cheese dish. Both dishes were flavorful and tasty. The chicken and cheese dish was a crowd pleaser. Who doesn't like a good cheese pull? We got all the ooo's and ahh's from our group of friends lol. All of the servers were tentative and super friendly. Food was served quickly and ban chan and water cups were constantly refilled. Parking is a biiiiiii though. Located in a super busy area but there are a few parking garages around. Went to a show at the Masonic and decided to have 707 for dinner afterwards. It was a little ways of a walk over. The wait was about 45 mins for a Saturday evening. It was worth it though! The wings were soooo good and flavorful. The beef short ribs were tender and loved that it came on a sizzle plate. Def the guys' fave dish. The pork belly was delicious and probs my fave. Potstickers + salad was also a good addition to our meal. Soooo much foodie for just the 3 of us! I wasn't sure what to expect but I am so happy we waited because the food, ambiance, service and soju did NOT disappoint. Can't wait to go back!! There's a special place in my heart for good eatin late night establishments. That's one of the things I'm starting to notice about SF, I like that you can still find places to eat past 9pm. We ordered the gamjatang (spicy pork neck soup) and seafood pancake. The gamjatang had a nice spice level and very tender meat but it had too much bean sprouts. The seafood pancake was alright, there was a lot of green onion and it was slightly burnt. Their bonchon was good, our favorite was the kimchi. They have a pretty solid kimchi here. read more

We were in a rush because we were going to an event and we told the waiters this and they were extremely fast and also really accommodating of my vegetarian diet and the whole time they were super friendly and smiley. We ordered tteokbokki and seafood pancake (forgot to take a pic before we started eating opps...). The pancake had a great amount of filling and the thickness was perf! The tteokbokki was okay, felt that the portion was a bit small for the price. It was chewy and the sauce was the right spice level for me. This meal made me happy. It's late, we were hungry and tired, too much fun vacationing all day on a girls trip. We found the closet place in walking distance and with great reviews, I was not disappointed with 707 Sutter. There's a wait, seems like the trend for every place we encountered in SF. Unlike other restaurants we had dined at, this one had no host, you sign up on a clipboard for a table then wait. Fine by me. Once seated I knew I had to order the wings since they're about $22 for 6 wings in MN right about now, I can't afford these babies at home. We also had the bulgogi and creamy ttok bok ki, one day soon I'll have to learn how to pronounce ttok bok ki so I don't have to point at the menu and say "that one please." The wings were some of the crispiest and juiciest I've had, the spicy sauce wasn't anything unique, but it was tasty. I loved the creamy ttok bok ki, the rice cakes were not only fun to eat, they've got a satisfying mouth feel, perfectly chewy, and it's simplicity complimented all of the flavors of the rest of the dish. The bulgogi was good too, I just loved the other two dishes more. Oh, I must mention, they project a Korean girl band on a wall and it's absolutely mesmerizing. It's hard to find good Korean food in the city, but 707 is the most solid by far. Every time we're craving some Korean comfort food, this is our go-to. Some items are hit-or-miss, but some are absolute bangers. The budae jjigae is our absolute favorite. Also love love the galbitang. The yukgaejang, dwaeji bulgogi, mandu, hameul pajeon/kimchi pajeon are also solid and in our rotation. Still have more on the menu to try but we're creatures of habit and love our order. Braised pork feet (5/5): There was literally so much meat and there was a lot of tender meat, with some jelly tendon as well. The lightly seasoned meat tasted good with the various sauces. Panfried Dumpling (5/5): This exceeded my expectations; it was a big portion and the filling was juicy and flavorful. Short rib soup (4/5): There was a good amount of meat, and it was pretty tender. I just had a lovely lunch here. It looks more like a bar/drinking establishment from the outside, and the K-pop blaring inside makes it sound like that as well. But at lunch at least it's a mild-mannered restaurant with good service and lots of Korean comfort foods. Our favorite was the seafood pancake. It's mostly seafood, and the little pancake was crisp and tasty. Not greasy- totally amazing. The small plate of the dumplings served with a salad in the middle was also great. The dressing was so good you could eat cardboard if it was slathered with it . The bol go ki was solid- hard to mess up marinated beef though. Decent open indoor seating for Korean food! Their bento boxes have a little bit of everything that I wanted so I opted for the spicey pork bento box. Nice portions of servings. And for the price it's not a bad deal. For two bento boxes at lunch time ran us $34.00. Wasn't a big fan of their rice. The texture was almost too hard and seemed like day old warmed rice versus fresh rice. But the flavor of the spicey pork and glass noodles made up for it. Being a kpop enthusiast, I did appreciate the Kpop playing in the background. Gracious spacing between tables and the friendly service is wonderful! Parking sucks and the place doesn't stand out. It's a great place for locals in the area to walk to but it's a drive and a hassle for parking if you are from out of town. So if you are visiting a local in the area it's a win for you! read more

It's nice to see actual Koreans dining at a Korean restaurant, a sight I typically don't see coming from Oklahoma but a majority of the audience are younger age group. Arriving late to San Francisco after a change in flight schedule and delay, I was starving as I have not had anything to eat the entire day. A good thing about Korean restaurants is they always come with sides and rice and that feature remains intact at Sutter. I actually like all the sides with my favorites being the pickled cumbers, pickled bean sprouts, and anchovies which remind me of a similar Vietnamese product. The beef brisket soup is very flavorful. I really like the broth, a lot stronger than other noodle soup, and spicier as well. I do not think the shredded beef brisket goes well as a soup though. I feel like some alternatives may complements the broth better, even beef steak may be a better option. The fried oysters are good but the batter is a little thick. It is better than at most places that I've tried. Overall, Sutter is a good late night Korean option as it opens until 1 AM. It's certainly a local favorite to the San Francisco downtown area. I am not giving it a 5 stars because of the things I've tried leave a little more to be desired. read more

The army stew was full of toppings and it was filling, nothing too special though. Corn cheese was actually quite good! Again, doesn't stand out too much though.
