    Seafood Combo Soup
    Amy T.

3.5 stars Ordered via Doordash. I don't remember if I picked the spicy level on the seafood tofu stew but it was pretty spicy, I usually get mild since you never know when Korean restaurants will add too much spice. It was still tolerable and pretty good. The pork belly bento box was on a special price on Doordash and they give you a lot of meat. The meat is a bit overdone so it is pretty stiff.

We were craving something warm late night after a show, stumbled upon Ollei. Hell yeaaaa for delicious food open late!!! Excellent choice for a cool autumn evening :3 Our group of 4 walked in on a Wednesday night, seated immediately. Minimal decor but clean and tidy. Staff were courteous and very attentive. Moments after ordering, our dishes arrived. TTEOKBOKKI: Just a lil sweet and spicy :3 Cooked well, super QQ. SHORT RIB SOUP: Soup is for the soul :') I think this melted my icy heart. Richly flavorful while still light and silky. And they don't skimp on the short rib! I swear I was drooling the moment our server brought it over. Next time, itching to try their Seafood Pancake they're so popular for.

Came in after exploring San Francisco and Land's End. Our group wanted tteokbboki and we ordered it along with rice balls and fried chicken (boneless). Everything came out relatively quickly and was delicious. The rice balls were so delicious with the great sesame oil flavor and the chicken was perfectly fried. I loved that we could get half and half, with one sauce being spicy and one regular. The portions for the three dishes were perfect for our group of 3. The servers were also nice and I love that kpop was playing on the wall. I definitely recommend this place for a good Korean meal.

I was craving some Korean food and found Ollei! I ordered the Army Soup and BBQ Short Ribs. It was my first time trying Army Soup and it was super yummy! Will definitely be back.

Great korean food, galbi was a standout, perfectly cooked and meaty. Soondubu was spicy and delicious. Seafood pancake was thick, great with the beer pitcher. Took a while to get seated and order, but it was a busy saturday night so makes sense. Dark vibes but fun lighting made the ambiance great for a late night meal. Will def be back!

This restaurant was busy on a Saturday night! My friends and I were able to join the Yelp waitlist beforehand so that we could be seated within five minutes when we arrived at the restaurant. We ordered three dishes for three people and had leftovers at the end. Seafod Pancake: This is one of the crispiest pancakes I've had in while, if not THE crispiest I've had in SF! The pancake was not overly greasy, and there was a good mix of shrimp and squid mixed into the pancake with a flavorful dipping sauce. Grilled Pork Belly: The pork belly was cooked well with a good balance of fat and meat, and the pieces were also cut thinly. Seafood Soup: Warm, spicy, and comforting. There was a good portion of seafod ingredients, and the broth had the right level of spice.

A cozy restaurant that embraces Korean culture and makes you feel like you're eating in a true Korean restaurant! With K-pop music videos being projected on the wall and cardboard cutouts of famous K-pop celebrities advertising drinks, you'll have a great experience with Ollei's ambience. Service was kind and relatively fast! 5/5 - Seafood Pancake - I personally think this is one of their best dishes and should impress anyone who has tried seafood pancakes before. The mixture of flavors and texture profile is perfected by the dish being cooked just right with a light, crunchy batter. Savory and well-salted. The serving is very generous and also slightly pre-cut. I would have preferred for it to be more definitely cut to make it easier to distribute. 5/5 - Kimchi Fried Rice - Very impressed with this dish! Kimchi was well-infused into the rice and did not have overly strong flavors. Great to pair with other dishes you may order. The salad on the side was also a refreshing touch to the savory flavor of the rice. 4.5/5 - Cheese Corn - A bit small in serving but comes packed with flavor!! The cheese melted well over the corn, and overall the dish had a light sweetness that made this fun to eat! I would recommend eating this fast though, because the cheese once lukewarm breaks off in chunks rather than remaining stringy. 4.5/5 - Tteokbokki - Very generous portions of tteokbokki in their sauce. Rice cakes were chewy and appropriately cooked. I would have appreciated more fish cakes in the dish, as it felt quite out-proportioned by the tteokbokki compared to similar past tteokbokki dishes I have had. 4/5 - Beef Bulgogi - Sweet and mostly tender! The only recommendation I have is that some slices were a bit dry and could have been due to uneven flavor, but I would still order this dish again. 4.5/5 - Banchan - Kimchi and tofu were very fun to pick at and eat while waiting for the main dishes to arrive. My favorite of the four were the creamy sauced sprouts (top left in the picture).

I was around the area and was craving Korean food and found this spot open early afternoon. I came with a group of friends and we ordered many dishes and I enjoyed all of it especially the chicken wings, the seafood pancake, the galbi tang! The Bo ssam was good but I wish the pork was a little more tender. Overall a solid Korean spot in the area and the price is pretty good for the portions!

I've been to Olleli a few times now, and each visit has been consistently comforting and delicious. It's one of those spots where the food feels like a warm hug...flavorful, hearty, and thoughtfully made. On my visits, I've tried several dishes and each one brought something special to the table. The seafood pancake was super crispy on the outside, generously filled, and surprisingly filling & it is perfect for sharing. The BBQ spare ribs were juicy, tender, and beautifully complemented by the fresh veggies and flavorful banchan that came with the meal. The short rib soup was a standout as it was deeply savory and warming to both the heart and stomach, especially on a cold day. When I came with a group, we also ordered the grilled mackerel, which was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, a simple dish done really well. The restaurant has a clean and modern aesthetic that still manages to feel homey and relaxed. Service has always been friendly and helpful, and the food comes out hot and fresh.

    Soft Tofu Soup / 순두부찌개
    Samantha D.

Got a pork soft tofu soup and a seafood pancake to share. The banchan that they gave could've been better. Not the best I've had. The soondubu was somewhat grainy. Overall, it wasn't bad. Still comforting and warming on a cold day. The seafood pancake was good. Nice and crispy throughout. Not that much seafood in it though. I think there are better Korean restaurants in the city, but for the area, it's decent.

After most other restaurants on the block have closed, Ollei stays open for those craving a late-night, no-compromise dinner. Our server was the sweetest girl with impeccable eye makeup, who ensured we stayed satisfied with fresh napkins, water, and kimchi. She promptly brought utensils when our friends joined us, and helped us choose the perfect sauce for our wings. The wings were okay, could have been crispier. Everything else was perfect.

This is such yummy comfort food. I can imagine myself slurping up delicious soup here on a winter night. But...it's summer so we had the cold Kimchee soup with egg. It was tasty and weird and delightful at the same time while chilled with chunks of ice. Also the bimbap beef bowl. Service is great. The one star off is for the bathroom which is kinda dirty and has a big mop bucket. I felt like I was using a gas station loo. Maybe if we were in a fast food place.

Came here for dinner. The restaurant is spacious and has a quirky ambiance. The service was friendly and quick. The food was okay--we ordered the sunduboo (soft tofu soup), chicken wings, beef bibimbap, kimchi pancake, and the sweet rice drink. The best dish was the kimchi pancake! It was fluffy but had very crisp edges and were flavorful. Every other dish was mediocre. This would be good for a quick snack or maybe late night meal after bars!

Ambiance is fine too. I have only dined in but I had to order take out in Jan 2026. The only way to order take out in advance is to order through DoorDash. I was in a huge rush so that's what I did. One order of E1 Seolleong Tang is $26 on DoorDash. If you were to eat in the restaurant, it's only $20. It's a huge mark up. I get that DoorDash needs to make money but this is too much. The only way I can avoid the DoorDash price is to get to the restaurant and order in person. I'll to do that next time. Parking in this neighborhood can be very challenging

By 6pm, all the tables were filled and by the time we left at 7 the waitlist was about 35-50 min. The galbi jjim was flavorful and had good balanced mix of sweet and spicy! We only got as mild spice and that was good enough for us. The beef was tender but we felt like there should have been more rice cakes and veggies. I guess that's why people liked to add extra. Service was quick but could be more attentive since server never checked up on us once our food came. Was hoping to get some more banchan :(

Once you step through the doors, however, you're greeted by a space that feels both cozy and contemporary, with an effortlessly stylish atmosphere. Even the restroom was thoughtfully designed and remarkably comfortable--a small detail, but one that speaks to the restaurant's overall attention to detail. We began with the Uni Scallop Toast and Mulhwe as appetizers. As someone who is typically not a fan of uni due to its pronounced brininess, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the toast. The bright citrus sauce balanced the richness of the uni beautifully, while the contrasting textures from the crisp toast and delicate scallop created a harmonious bite. The scallop also helped mellow the stronger oceanic notes of the uni. It was a creative and memorable dish unlike anything I've had before. The Mulhwe, a Korean-style fish salad, was dressed in a refreshing apple vinaigrette that gave it a light, summery citrus character. The fish itself had a pleasantly chewy texture--firmer than salmon--with no trace of fishiness. While enjoyable, it didn't leave quite the same impression as the uni toast and was my least favorite dish of the evening. For our entrées, we ordered the Galbi Steak and Pork Jowl Bossam. Both dishes showcased exceptional execution. The meats were cooked perfectly, but what stood out even more was the precision in preparation. The steak was expertly sliced and incredibly tender--so much so that even with braces, it was effortless to enjoy. The pork jowl achieved an ideal balance between lean meat and luscious fat, creating a rich yet satisfying bite. We enjoyed the meal so much that dessert was non-negotiable. The Matcha Tiramisu was a creative interpretation of the classic. A dome of mascarpone cheese encased ladyfinger biscuits at its center, accompanied by a vibrant matcha ganache sauce. The dessert leaned far less sweet than traditional tiramisu, allowing the earthy matcha and creamy mascarpone flavors to shine. It was elegant, balanced, and a wonderful way to end the meal. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our server was soft-spoken, patient, and genuinely attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. Considering the quality of the food, thoughtful presentation, ambiance, and service, I found the pricing to be completely justified. As a pleasant surprise, I later learned that Bansang is part of the same restaurant group behind Daeho--a detail that certainly explains the level of quality we experienced.

The toast, scallops, and uni were all served at the same temperature, and the sauce was barely noticeable, adding little to the dish. A contrast in temperature, texture, or a more pronounced sauce would have made it much more enjoyable. The Scallop & Shrimp Salad was overly sweet, which overpowered the delicate flavors of the seafood. The Chicken Wings were decent, but at 4 wings for $18, they felt overpriced. The Mushroom Silk Tofu was beautifully presented and visually appealing. The Black Cod was cooked perfectly--moist, tender, and flaky. However, while the fish itself was excellent, the sauce was forgettable and didn't leave a lasting impression or elevate the dish. Overall, the food was mediocre. While each dish had potential, the flavors often felt disconnected and lacked harmony. Combined with the expensive price point, the overall dining experience didn't justify the cost. The ambiance is lovely, but I left hoping for a more memorable meal. Wouldn't come back.

The wait for the dish was almost 25 mins but all worth it !The complimentary soup and banchan were huge and alright. The servers know what they were doing but one minor thing about my experience was that the waitress served a really really hot dish at her convenience and I had to move it to the center for sharing. Since they're busy they expect you to finish your meal, pay and go.

This is my wife's favorite SF Korean restaurant, so I am glad that she was able to join me on this trip. Actually, my guest was the one that requested Korean today. LOL. Today, my guest ordered the following: Soft Tofu Soup - Complimentary. Now this has the most flavor of all the dishes. It also came out piping hot, see picture. Seafood Pancake - Overall good, I appreciate the precut slices, thanks. Makes eating and dividing easier. Marinated Chicken - Decent portions, tender, etc. But with minimum flavor. Broiled Fish, Broiled Mackerel - My guest loves fish, but she did not eat too much of this. So more food to bring back to the house for her. Stir-Fried Vermicelli - Good, but you can almost not mess this up. Actually, I make a pretty good Japchae. :) Banchan - 9 options; good variety and with decent to generous portions. Actually, all the dishes came out steaming, piping hot, and fresh. If you do not like spicy food, this is the place for you. Most, if not all, dishes including the banchan are not spicy. Atmosphere - Good size local restaurant. Table or booth seating. Private room in the back available. Hibachi style dining available. 2 clean bathrooms. See picture. Open 5 days a week from 11am to 8pm or 9pm, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Street parking, it was not too bad. I got a space a few blocks away. Service - 3 stars. The owner is typically friendly but did not greet us today?!?! One waitress was extremely more professional than the other. I think the other waitress was in a bad mood?!?! It was not easy asking for stuff, tea refills, water, utensils, more banchan, etc. Price - $120 + tip. Reasonably priced for Korean food, especially because my guest will get another meal out of it from all our leftovers. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since...??? I have been coming here for 20+ years. Maybe 30+ years...? Or am I outdating myself...

If you're not able to squeeze into the first wave, the wait is upwards of 2 hours! FOOD: We ordered one galbi jim with extra noodles and rice cakes and a separate garlic noodles for a party of 5. While we initially thought we could finish two galbi jims, our server cautioned us against it, referencing the healthy portion size. We were glad we took her advice because everyone was stuffed by the end of our meal. Their galbi jim was flavorful, with extremely tender beef and chewy rice cakes. We ordered the lowest level of spiciness and while there was still a kick, it was extremely manageable. SERVICE: We were the first to be seated and our galbi jim took almost 20 minutes to come out while others waited even longer. However, they comped our garlic noodles and apologized for turning waits. Overall, I'd definitely return if I'm able to get into the first wave of seating.

Typically what I saw was they do waves of seating and ordering so if you aren't there right at open/when they fill up, plan to write your name down and grab a drink nearby. Once we got seated, they were pretty prompt to give us utensils, napkins, cups, and water. The two of us shared the Braise Beef Galbi Stew. It's more than enough for 2 people to go home in food comas (with some food remaining) and for 3 to be sufficiently full. If you have big eaters, order an app alongside if you have 3 people. The Galbi stew was exceptional. I liked that they had various levels of spiciness. We went with spicy and it had a nice kick that elevated the dish for me. The beef was very tender and flavorful and the veggies and rice cakes soaked up all the juices. And the cheese was so stretchy! I'd actually rank this place slightly above Daeho given the shorter wait, the quality, and the price. I'll be back for sure.
