Korean food hits the spot when traveling and as a Korean American, I need my fix to fulfill my cravings from time to time. My husband and I were in San Francisco for his work trip, and we were searching for places to eat for dinner. 707 Sutter was a fairly short walk from our hotel and since we brought our cat with us on the trip, we opted in to order takeout through DoorDash. We ordered their bossam (boiled pork wraps) and kimchi soft tofu with side dishes. The food was quite delicious and savory, and it definitely left us feeling full and satisfied. Even though we didn't dine inside, our experience with ordering and trying out the food was great overall.
Nothing beats spicy cold noodles on a hot summer day! 707 Sutter delivered exactly what I was craving--the flavor was completely spot-on. I especially appreciated that they served banchan (Korean side dishes) alongside the noodles; a lot of spots don't offer side dishes with cold noodle orders, so that was a wonderful touch. Such a tasty and satisfying meal!
Came here specifically for the tofu stew as it was a cold evening and was craving something warm. It definitely hit the spot and was a good flavor! They made sure to use veggie broth as I'm vegetarian. They even gave some banchan which is always a plus!! They had a lot of other vegetarian options on the menu as well. We had a short 5 minute wait but I can see this place having some wait on busy evenings. Would recommend coming here!
One of my go to Korean spots in downtown SF by Union Square. There's parking around the streets and many parking garages. Pretty authentic and Korean bar style food and restaurant. They play kpop music and project their music videos. They have soju and beer and all of the traditional eats. Good banchan, love their Korean fried chicken (soy garlic), corn cheese, seafood tteokboki (rice cake). They have soups and kimchi fried rice and bbq meats too. Service is great and quick!
Friendly, fast and excellent service by June (she's wonderful!). Delicious Seafood Soondubu (Soft Tofu Stew) and 6 Banchan side dishes. Clean restaurant with awesome bouncy K-Pop music.
My party of 4 came in for lunch on a Monday afternoon and was seated right away. The restaurant interior is very simple with neon signs on the walls. They also played lots of K-pop songs which was nice. We ordered a variety of food: seafood pancake, tteokbokki, japchae, spicy pork, and soft tofu soup. Everything was really yummy and we had no complaints. I did notice that they changed their menu and took off a few items and increased prices for some dishes. Besides that, the quality of food is still the same and tastes delicious. There was only one server, but she was really nice and helpful to us. Would definitely come back again for yummy Korean food!
I love Korean food especially for their banchan. 6 free banchan dishes isn't bad for a city Korean restaurant. I always order galbi if I get Korean and I did appreciate the large portion size (especially because this cute can be pricey) and the flavor was on point, just wish there was more char and grill flavor to the meat. Everything dish we ordered was extremely flavorful and we definitely over ordered.
The fried chicken with soy garlic was yummy! It had the right amount of flavor: not too salty! The assorted army stew was good as well, but it was just slightly a little too salty. Note that it comes with ramen noodles as well, so don't need to add it on the side! For 2 people, we had a lot of leftovers! We couldn't finish half of the army stew so this will be our meal for the next day as well!
Omg what a delight! The cheese corn was the perfect combination of savory and sweet, it was probably one of the best corn cheeses I ever had. The bulgogi and galbi sizzling plates were nice and hot juicy and delightful. The veggie fried rice was yummy too. Service is pretty standard. Ambiance is cozy and modern ish. I love the giant pink Jinro (or is it Jinros girlfriend) in the corner of the restaurant.
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Went to 707 after a night out. Thank god it was open because I was starving!!! Girlie was legit about to fall asleep at 12pm but I needed to have dinner. I really don't understand how people rally these days. Pan Fried Kimchi and Pork with Tofu: 5/5 HONESTLY HIT THE SPOT. It was perfectly sweetened and also savory. 100% would order again. Seafood Scallion Pancake: 3/5 I've had better. It was very thickly pattered. The sauce was a bit over powering.
Friday calls for local eats. After work, my friend and I wanted to eat something hot, especially after the weather was getting cold. We decided on Kbbq down the street after one of our associates recommended the place. We walked in and there was one table seated - still pretty early in the evening and we were happy to get there before the place got busy. We sat down and ordered a few items and within 10 minutes the food was coming out. People started trickling in. The good thing is, with the portion sizes, it's easy to order a few items and share. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. Definitely good comfort food and priced well. Worth your money.
Perfect place right near union square area for a cute little dinner date! I went here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy! You'll be greeted with wholesomeness as you get seated down. Be warned that the portions are HUGE; no hogging fried rice for yourself! The food came out relatively quick AND they refill your banchaans! (Assortment of Korean side dishes to enjoy with your mains, very light and refreshing. Love the kelp noodle salad they had!) We ordered ... -kimchi fried rice with an omelette! (4.5/5, doesn't need ketchup, maybe ketchup mayo/sweet soy would be good!) -Soy garlic glazed Korean fried chicken (5/5, the star of the show AND THE PIECES ARE SO BIG BACKED FOR WHAT?!) -Porkbelly with ssamjang, lettuce wraps, radish (6/5 WOW very juicy slices of pork, multiple fun ways to eat this and the way they braised it, you can taste the love they put in every bite) Overall, the ambiance, service and food was unmatched! The pricing is also not bad, just don't eat here alone or you'll rack a huge bill haha! My only qualm is finding parking... sutter isn't as a scarey street but be prepared to parallel park on the left side to get here!

Absolutely loved my to go experience at Sutter 707! The galbi was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection -- truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also highly recommend the bibimbap; it was fresh, well-balanced, and so satisfying. Everything we tried was spot on, and you can really taste the quality in each dish. Can't wait to order again. read more

I love going to 707 Sutter for drinks and food with my friends. I recently have started doordashing the bossam dish and it has been so good! I always ask for extra lettuce and sauce and they never disappoint! It's such a simple and tasty meal that is at a pretty reasonable price. read more
I got the seafood pancake and the doy garlic wings. The seafood pancaje was really good and it came with this sauce which was vinegary. That I would eat again but it comes with shrimp but they kept the tails on which I didnt like. The soy garlic wings were okay but they lacked flavor and I only ate two. I also got this take out which was fine and the food was still warm. Overall I wouldnt eat here again but it was still good. read more

This is my second time eating here. I ordered some more food here than I had last time I was there. The food I ordered was really good and was more filling. The service was as friendly as it was the last time I ordered here. The ambiance of the place was still amazing . I can see myself becoming a regular here. 5 stars read more
Came back again about 3 weeks later. Can't get enough of 707, and I live in the east bay lol. This time I took bart over and got off on Powell. It's a few blocks away from the bart station, so it being easy to get to is bad for my wallet. This will be my go to for a place to get drinks and eat in the city. I showed some new friends here and they enjoyed themselves a lot. The food this time was was great, and the staff was awesome as usual. Thank you 707! read more

I'm in town for a convention and came to 707 Sutter for some late night dinner. It's a cozy little place with nice ambiance and great service. I got the Fried wings w/soy garlic and Beef dumplings. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, even an hour before closing. They brought this delightful appetizer platter out and it was ALL delicious! Then the dumplings were crispy but tender inside and the wings were crunchy and perfect. 10/10 loved it! read more

I just had my second time here and the food was again incredible value for money and tasty. The service was very friendly, and prompt. I enjoy the ambiance. They play k-pop videos but not too loudly where you can't hold a conversation. We will be back! read more
This is probably my 4th here and not my last! Every time I'm here, I ALWAYS order the Korean fried chicken half and half. They are super flavorful and cooked to be nice and juicy. We also got the army stew and the rice cakes which were nice as well! In the past, I've also gotten the japchae, kimchi fried rice, and seafood pancake (all without complaints!!). We came in at 8:30pm on a Friday night and we were seated right away. This spot does stay open late and when we left around 10pm, every table was filled. Overall, the food is great and there's a decent amount of seating for everyone. read more

Iconic and delicious, the tteokbokki and dolsot bibimbap are nothing short of amazing. The tteokbokki has the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, with chewy rice cakes in a rich, savory sauce that keeps you coming back for more. The dolsot bibimbap is served sizzling in a hot stone pot, and the mix of crispy rice, fresh veggies, savory meat, and a runny egg all come together beautifully with the tangy gochujang sauce. The peach soju cocktail is decent--light, refreshing, and slightly sweet, a nice contrast to the hearty dishes. What really makes the experience great, though, is the fast service and good vibes. The staff is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is lively, especially with the K-pop music videos playing in the background. It adds a fun, modern touch that makes the meal even more enjoyable. Love it here! Definitely coming back to try more of the menu. read more

i came in for some cold noodles to escape the heat, it really hit the spot. great night ambiance and i love the kpop playing on the projector too read more
Leave it up to my friend to take us to a restaurant I've never heard of. Quite surprising since this seems like a go-to spot for Korean food in the city. We came on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. This is a restaurant where you go to see people rather than the quality of the food. Having got back from Korea recently, dining here reminded me of other Korean restaurants in America. Loud K-pop music blaring, dim but neon lighting, and mostly young crowds consisting of young Koreans and Asian Americans. Don't expect much from the service here. You rarely interact with anyone which is disappointing for a sit-down restaurant. They more so take your order and deliver it--good luck flagging them down for anything. When it comes to Korean food, I usually have a few personal favorites on rotation when I go out to eat. On a cold night, soup was on my mind. What caught my attention was the Pollack Roe Soup. I was allured since I'd never tried it in Korean food. Beware in the soup it's several sacks of pollock roe so I recommend breaking it up. It's bold, soft, and tastes like the ocean. The soup itself is spicy and plenty of garnishes are included making it hearty and well-balanced. My friend got Mild Ttok Bok Ki and added Cheese. She enjoyed it and said she'd order it again. Both our items were big portions and we took them home. I'd say the food for Korean cuisine is adequate but not outstanding. In my opinion, like other cuisines, Korean food is best shared with the company. 707 Sutter off Sutter Street cooks up appetizers, soups, rice, grilled, and noodle dishes--perfect to fill all bellies! The restaurant is located downtown and parking is limited to the street with public transportation nearby. Eating here doesn't come close to my meals in Korea but it seems like a satisfactory option for those craving Korean food or wanting to get together with friends. read more
revisited again and food was good but not as amazing as before. tried a few other korean soju bars in the city and i think this one lacks behind a bit. so i guess vibes and company makes up for how good the food is for my previous visits. service is great though! read more

I visited with a friend one afternoon and the restaurant was empty but our friendly hostess/waitress made up for the ambiance! The menu is one of those QR codes taped to the table that you need to scan with your phone and it takes you to their website, so it seems that their site is most accurate source for current menu items and prices. My friend and I both got cold noodles and they came out at the same time. My spicy cold buck[wheat] noodles were delightfully chewy and refreshing but I wish there were more sauce to mix in. The complimentary banchan was fairly standard and tasty. They never offered to refill when it was low or out, but my table never asked so maybe they'll refill it upon request. I probably wouldn't order the cold noodles again unless I had a serious craving because it wasn't very special. From reading other reviews, it looks like the more popular korean dishes (tteokbokki, soondubu, bbq) are what's what at 707 Sutter and I'd be down to try those next time I'm in the area. read more

Do you have accommodations for toddlers (high chair or booster seats?
Yes we do have both.
How spicy is the rice cake with ramen?
Personally, the spice isn't bad at all. Of course there's a tiny kick, but it's really nothing a non-spicy person can't handle.
