Came here specifically for the tofu stew as it was a cold evening and was craving something warm. It definitely hit the spot and was a good flavor! They made sure to use veggie broth as I'm vegetarian. They even gave some banchan which is always a plus!! They had a lot of other vegetarian options on the menu as well. We had a short 5 minute wait but I can see this place having some wait on busy evenings. Would recommend coming here!

One of my go to Korean spots in downtown SF by Union Square. There's parking around the streets and many parking garages. Pretty authentic and Korean bar style food and restaurant. They play kpop music and project their music videos. They have soju and beer and all of the traditional eats. Good banchan, love their Korean fried chicken (soy garlic), corn cheese, seafood tteokboki (rice cake). They have soups and kimchi fried rice and bbq meats too. Service is great and quick!

Friendly, fast and excellent service by June (she's wonderful!). Delicious Seafood Soondubu (Soft Tofu Stew) and 6 Banchan side dishes. Clean restaurant with awesome bouncy K-Pop music.

Omg what a delight! The cheese corn was the perfect combination of savory and sweet, it was probably one of the best corn cheeses I ever had. The bulgogi and galbi sizzling plates were nice and hot juicy and delightful. The veggie fried rice was yummy too. Service is pretty standard. Ambiance is cozy and modern ish. I love the giant pink Jinro (or is it Jinros girlfriend) in the corner of the restaurant.

I love Korean food especially for their banchan. 6 free banchan dishes isn't bad for a city Korean restaurant. I always order galbi if I get Korean and I did appreciate the large portion size (especially because this cute can be pricey) and the flavor was on point, just wish there was more char and grill flavor to the meat. Everything dish we ordered was extremely flavorful and we definitely over ordered.

The fried chicken with soy garlic was yummy! It had the right amount of flavor: not too salty! The assorted army stew was good as well, but it was just slightly a little too salty. Note that it comes with ramen noodles as well, so don't need to add it on the side! For 2 people, we had a lot of leftovers! We couldn't finish half of the army stew so this will be our meal for the next day as well!

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Went to 707 after a night out. Thank god it was open because I was starving!!! Girlie was legit about to fall asleep at 12pm but I needed to have dinner. I really don't understand how people rally these days. Pan Fried Kimchi and Pork with Tofu: 5/5 HONESTLY HIT THE SPOT. It was perfectly sweetened and also savory. 100% would order again. Seafood Scallion Pancake: 3/5 I've had better. It was very thickly pattered. The sauce was a bit over powering.

Friday calls for local eats. After work, my friend and I wanted to eat something hot, especially after the weather was getting cold. We decided on Kbbq down the street after one of our associates recommended the place. We walked in and there was one table seated - still pretty early in the evening and we were happy to get there before the place got busy. We sat down and ordered a few items and within 10 minutes the food was coming out. People started trickling in. The good thing is, with the portion sizes, it's easy to order a few items and share. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. Definitely good comfort food and priced well. Worth your money.

Perfect place right near union square area for a cute little dinner date! I went here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy! You'll be greeted with wholesomeness as you get seated down. Be warned that the portions are HUGE; no hogging fried rice for yourself! The food came out relatively quick AND they refill your banchaans! (Assortment of Korean side dishes to enjoy with your mains, very light and refreshing. Love the kelp noodle salad they had!) We ordered ... -kimchi fried rice with an omelette! (4.5/5, doesn't need ketchup, maybe ketchup mayo/sweet soy would be good!) -Soy garlic glazed Korean fried chicken (5/5, the star of the show AND THE PIECES ARE SO BIG BACKED FOR WHAT?!) -Porkbelly with ssamjang, lettuce wraps, radish (6/5 WOW very juicy slices of pork, multiple fun ways to eat this and the way they braised it, you can taste the love they put in every bite) Overall, the ambiance, service and food was unmatched! The pricing is also not bad, just don't eat here alone or you'll rack a huge bill haha! My only qualm is finding parking... sutter isn't as a scarey street but be prepared to parallel park on the left side to get here!

Absolutely loved my to go experience at Sutter 707! The galbi was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection -- truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also highly recommend the bibimbap; it was fresh, well-balanced, and so satisfying. Everything we tried was spot on, and you can really taste the quality in each dish. Can't wait to order again.

Food is fantastic and original and plenty. We had soup and shared and bulgogi sweet and delicious and not covered in sauce. Excellent waiter who was Korean :-) added to the experience.

I love going to 707 Sutter for drinks and food with my friends. I recently have started doordashing the bossam dish and it has been so good! I always ask for extra lettuce and sauce and they never disappoint! It's such a simple and tasty meal that is at a pretty reasonable price.

Arrived on a Friday around 5pm with no wait... though it started filling up pretty quickly after we were seated so the timing worked in our favor. It's a bar and restaurant with mostly high top seating... dark, casual vibe with TVs showing games. Staff was friendly throughout. For $30 we each got a main, two sides, and dessert... a great way to get a real taste of what Hardwood has to offer. We got two orders: 1) smoked pulled pork with coleslaw and cornbread, and 2) mesquite BBQ chicken with curly fries and collard greens. Both came with a nilla wafer pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious and had that hometown BBQ feel. The portions were so generous, we even had leftovers! What made it even better was that we caught happy hour, which runs separately from restaurant week. For $10 you get a pint of beer or cider plus a well shot... hard to argue with that. Reasonably priced drinks on top of an already solid meal made this one of the better value outings I've had in SF. Already thinking about going back outside of restaurant week, and knowing that with its generous portions we can probably share next time.

We had the pork spare ribs, a half-pound of brisket, sausages, baked beans, a pulled pork sandwich, and regular fries. The meats were good, but honestly not up to the level of BBQ you'd find in places like Los Angeles or Austin. Everything leaned a bit dry, so we ended up relying heavily on the sauces to bring some moisture back. To make matters worse, they forgot to include the white bread that was supposed to come with the ribs, sausages, and brisket. After all that, the standout of the meal ended up being... the regular fries, which were actually excellent. I also had to wait a bit when I arrived -- our order wasn't ready despite giving them more than the estimated time. On the plus side, the customer service was friendly and the casual outdoor seating has good vibes. Overall, 4505 has really gone down over the years, and SF definitely needs to step up its BBQ game.

Granted we were a bit late for our reservation, we ended up having to wait another 30-40 mins. The place (2nd floor) is small & awkward. We were all cramped waiting on the stairway and the actual seating area is also fairly small for a busy KBBQ place/big parties. The 8 of us squeezed into a booth with 2 chairs on the side. You can also feel whenever the table next to us got up and stomped/yelled/moved in their chairs-- which was really often. The basic AYCE menu is fairly limited-- esp for the side options. The marinated meats were pretty good as was the tteokbokki. Side & meat portions were alright, but the kicker is having to flag down staff to make sure they put in the order & bring it out. We asked for japchae about 5 times before it actually reached our table towards the end of our meal. The server/manager also told us that he had accidentally brought out 2 bottles of soju for us and that he'd COMP 1 bottle. Food - 4.5/5 Dish Ordered: Dino Rib, Brisket ( 1/2 lb), House Slaw, Banana Pudding 5/5 Dino Rib Wow. This was the highlight. The meat was unbelievably tender--every single part of it. Usually with ribs, especially the upper portions, you get some toughness or dryness depending on how it's smoked. Not here. This one was melt-in-your-mouth soft, juicy throughout, and you could practically pull it apart effortlessly. The seasoning was perfect--balanced, not too salty, not bland, just right. Every bite hit. 4/5 Brisket ( 1/2 lb) About two slices. Visually, it looked great--nice color, juicy, with a solid fatty portion. But after eating the Dino rib, it felt a bit underwhelming. Still good, just didn't hit as hard flavor-wise. Might be better appreciated on its own next time. 5/5 House Slaw This paired extremely well with the meat. Sweet, tangy, and refreshing. The hint of peanuts adds a nice nutty layer that makes it stand out. It cuts through the richness of the meat perfectly. 5/5 Banana Pudding Not your typical pudding--it's more like a banana cake. The sweetness not too overwhelming, smells amazing, and just hits the spot. A great way to finish the meal. Additional Comments The Dino rib alone makes this place worth it. It sets a very high bar, which honestly makes everything else feel secondary. The best Rib I have ever had in my life so far. Important thing to note is that the rib will be weighed. I don't think you can ask to get the portion you want like you can with the brisket. My Dino rib came out to be 1.6lb. The sides and dessert complement the meal really well and round out the experience. Price is bit is definitely in the higher end but the experience is definitely worth it.
