My party of 4 came in for lunch on a Monday afternoon and was seated right away. The restaurant interior is very simple with neon signs on the walls. They also played lots of K-pop songs which was nice. We ordered a variety of food: seafood pancake, tteokbokki, japchae, spicy pork, and soft tofu soup. Everything was really yummy and we had no complaints. I did notice that they changed their menu and took off a few items and increased prices for some dishes. Omg what a delight! The cheese corn was the perfect combination of savory and sweet, it was probably one of the best corn cheeses I ever had. I'm in town for a convention and came to 707 Sutter for some late night dinner. It's a cozy little place with nice ambiance and great service. I got the Fried wings w/soy garlic and Beef dumplings. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, even an hour before closing. They brought this delightful appetizer platter out and it was ALL delicious! Then the dumplings were crispy but tender inside and the wings were crunchy and perfect. 10/10 loved it! read more

This is probably my 4th here and not my last! Every time I'm here, I ALWAYS order the Korean fried chicken half and half. They are super flavorful and cooked to be nice and juicy. We also got the army stew and the rice cakes which were nice as well! In the past, I've also gotten the japchae, kimchi fried rice, and seafood pancake (all without complaints!!). We came in at 8:30pm on a Friday night and we were seated right away. This spot does stay open late and when we left around 10pm, every table was filled. Stumbled here by chance because I came to the city for an interview at a hotel close by yesterday. It was a nice spot to grab a quick bite and was pretty nice that we were the only ones there. And the food, was excellent! Had the bugolgi, egg soufflé, and the seafood soup -- all excellent. My mouth is watering as I type, But the star of the meal was a kimchi pancake, with a hot sauce dip unlike anything I've ever had before. Leave it up to my friend to take us to a restaurant I've never heard of. Quite surprising since this seems like a go-to spot for Korean food in the city. We came on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. This is a restaurant where you go to see people rather than the quality of the food. Having got back from Korea recently, dining here reminded me of other Korean restaurants in America. Loud K-pop music blaring, dim but neon lighting, and mostly young crowds consisting of young Koreans and Asian Americans. Don't expect much from the service here. You rarely interact with anyone which is disappointing for a sit-down restaurant. They more so take your order and deliver it--good luck flagging them down for anything. When it comes to Korean food, I usually have a few personal favorites on rotation when I go out to eat. On a cold night, soup was on my mind. What caught my attention was the Pollack Roe Soup. I was allured since I'd never tried it in Korean food. Beware in the soup it's several sacks of pollock roe so I recommend breaking it up. It's bold, soft, and tastes like the ocean. The soup itself is spicy and plenty of garnishes are included making it hearty and well-balanced. My friend got Mild Ttok Bok Ki and added Cheese. She enjoyed it and said she'd order it again. Both our items were big portions and we took them home. I'd say the food for Korean cuisine is adequate but not outstanding. In my opinion, like other cuisines, Korean food is best shared with the company. 707 Sutter off Sutter Street cooks up appetizers, soups, rice, grilled, and noodle dishes--perfect to fill all bellies! The restaurant is located downtown and parking is limited to the street with public transportation nearby. Eating here doesn't come close to my meals in Korea but it seems like a satisfactory option for those craving Korean food or wanting to get together with friends. read more

I visited with a friend one afternoon and the restaurant was empty but our friendly hostess/waitress made up for the ambiance! The menu is one of those QR codes taped to the table that you need to scan with your phone and it takes you to their website, so it seems that their site is most accurate source for current menu items and prices. My friend and I both got cold noodles and they came out at the same time. My spicy cold buck[wheat] noodles were delightfully chewy and refreshing but I wish there were more sauce to mix in. The complimentary banchan was fairly standard and tasty. They never offered to refill when it was low or out, but my table never asked so maybe they'll refill it upon request. I probably wouldn't order the cold noodles again unless I had a serious craving because it wasn't very special. From reading other reviews, it looks like the more popular korean dishes (tteokbokki, soondubu, bbq) are what's what at 707 Sutter and I'd be down to try those next time I'm in the area. read more
