Had an excellent brunch in the neighborhood where we were staying. A very popular place, so expect a bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. Excellent service and very flavorful food.
This place had such a cute vibe as soon as you walked in. Lots of natural lighting and the indoor lighting was beautiful. Service was fast and friendly! The food was more than generous as far as portions and left us with a good amount of leftovers to eat for later! The chipotle Benny was flavorful and the potatoes served with them were crunchy and seasoned well. I got a chicken wrap of sorts and it was yummy but the sauce that came inside was a little too sweet for me. Fries were super good tho! As for the creme brûlée French toast, the cream drizzled on the top was amazing and paired so well with the soft and fluffy bread used! The volcano latte was such a treat as well while the mango lemonade was really refreshing. I definitely will be back on my next visit!
Four chairs is always packed for brunch every time I drive by the mission, so it was time to give it a try. Their Asian take on brunch is quite refreshing. I ordered the K-Bomb chicken Benny and oh boy will you leave satisfied in every way. The perfectly poached eggs are served on top of a fluffy slice of bread topped with kimchi-hollandaise sauce. The chicken was a Korean style fried chicken with a crunchy sweet and spicy bbq sauce reminiscent of gochujang and honey. Home fries and green salad with sesame dressing topped it all off. The mango matcha latte was also quite good and the price for SF and for all that food was great value for the money. Ambiance is casual and a bit loud as can be expected from a brunch place but overall it is clean and a fun spot to meet friends for brunch. Don't stay too long after paying though or you will get stared at by the folks waiting in line. Overall definitely recommend checking them out. I look forward to trying other specialties here.
I had reserved my table through Yelp, but I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter was able to seat me earlier than expected. The atmosphere was great, and both sets of patrons to my left and right were very friendly--it turned out it was the first time visiting for all of us. For my meal, I ordered the mango lemonade, the crème brûlée French toast, and the Pacific Sunrise Benedict with a side salad and fresh fruit. The mango lemonade was very refreshing and not overly sweet, and the French toast was absolutely amazing--it honestly felt like having dessert for breakfast. The only adjustment I would suggest is regarding the Benedict. In my opinion, a true English muffin would work better than the slice of brioche currently used, which felt a bit too thick and soft. An English muffin provides the right texture and crispy consistency when toasted to properly stand up to all the toppings. Overall, I pleasantly enjoyed myself and had a great experience. When I return, I look forward to trying the By the Bay Benedict and the mascarpone pancakes.
Amazing! I'm actually going there for the second time today! My family arrived early, so the wait was only about five minutes before we were seated. I don't remember if there was music, but it was a busy, lively place with multiple conversations happening at once. It was definitely a cozy, home type atmosphere. A few people ordered chicken and waffles, so I had the chance to try it, and it was delicious! The waffles melted in my mouth! That's what I plan to order next time. I order a Korean chicken sandwich. It was very tasty and large. I had leftovers! I was disappointed because I forgot my leftovers on the table . Note to self: NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. The lemonade was very flavorful, and my kids enjoyed it too. I even tried an alcoholic beverage, I can't remember the name, but I swapped it for lemonade because it was THAT good. As I mentioned earlier, I will definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend it.
Got here right around 2PM on a Friday and the place was very packed!! Waited about 5min for a table for the party of 4. The interior is an updated modern setting with ample seating. We were seated and scanned the menu. Many options with Asian fusion flair to it. We ordered the K-bomb Benny, chorizo breakfast wrap and shrimp and veggie scramble. All the food was great. They have a nice selection of creative breakfast drinks. The creamy volcano coffee is very creative and delicious!! We all enjoyed the food selection. The staff is very efficient and helpful, and made us feel very comfortable. Nosy rushed, easy pace and fast service.
We visited four chairs 10:30am on a Thursday and it was very busy but the wait was short. We ordered the Mascarpone pancakes and the Chipotle benny. The pancakes were delicious not too sweet. The chipotle benny on the other hand unfortunately came out a little cold but the flavor was there. The service was ok, we didn't get checked up on and only saw our server when they gave us our food. I really like the ambiance here it had a nice warm cafe vibe to it
One of my favorite brunch places in SF! I am so glad I was able to come try this place. We got here at 10 and we were seated right away. They are also super super kid friendly. The staff was super nice to my crazy toddler. The food was amazing! I got the pancakes, K bomb Benedict, and salad. They were all delicious! We were so full after this meal. Can't wait to come back when we visit!
Needed a quick brunch before the airport and recommend this place . Street parking was a miss unfortunately but we did find one two blocks away . Walking in well lit and good music you sign in on IPAD and they text or call you when table is ready 2-12 estimated and we got a table in 6 minutes . Liked the open kitchen concept . All the drinks ordered were delicious and just perfect sweetness . So kind of the waiter to bring to go cups for our drinks that we did not finish . The portions are generous especially if it's your first meal of the day , By the bay had juicy delicious shrimps, eggs cooked perfect, enjoyed the crispy potatoes and the salad with a nice gingery dressing . I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

The interior had a cozy vibe, with wood panelling on the walls and plenty of natural light. For drinks, I chose the Butterfly Lychee, which was beautiful and tasty. I do wish it had been a touch less sweet though! My friend also enjoyed her Volcano Coffee. For food, I ordered the K-bomb Chicken Benny and we also got the Crème Brûlée French Toast to share between the 4 of us. Both of these were incredible! I loved the texture and sticky sauce on the Korean fried chicken, and the chipotle hollandaise was so flavorful. The Crème Brûlée French Toast was decadent and delicious. The brioche was so soft and the torched vanilla custard really did taste like crème brûlée. Service was friendly and quick. Overall, we had a great experience at Four Chairs!

Best brunch spot in sf, I loved everything. Since I walked through the door, friendly staff, food was amazingly good! Cream brûlée French toast definitely was my favorite! Pancakes are fluffy, and country potatoes are the best! Also, it was my moms birthday. And they surprised us with a pancake and a candle for her! Restaurant looks really cleans, restrooms as well, and there's street parking but I decided not to drive. I'm for sure looking forward to try more items from the menu!
We were looking for a breakfast spot and decided to go here because I've never tried it. We went here on a Sunday around 12:30pm and there was about a 1 hour wait before we got to the tablet to add ourselves to the waitlist inside the restaurant. This restaurant serves Asian fusion breakfast and brunch items. We ended up ordering the Mascarpone Pancake and the K-Bomb Benny. I loved how fluffy my Mascarpone Pancake was and it was piled with fruits too. The pancakes were stacked the way I like it, while their other brunch items like the K-Bomb Benny included a huge slice of meat. The K-Bomb Benny meat was very tender and covered with sauce, but the thing I liked about the K-Bomb Benny was how tender the meat is. I'd recommend this place, but be prepared for a long wait! The line was very confusing and long because of the lack of signage and how there were basically one line outside of the restaurant and then another line after you enter the restaurant.

I ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast and K-Bomb Benny to share with my girlfriend. This is my second time dining and it was for my birthday. I can say this is the spot for delicious asian american fusion brunch that left me really happy throughout the day. Creme Brulee French Toast 5/5 Perfectly balanced sweetness. I could eat this all day without getting tired. K-Bomb Benny 5/5 Very crispy fried chicken that's also tender and juicy. The sauce is so tasty. Runny eggs and fluffy potatoes. Service 3.5/5 Very slow in terms of trying to get an order in, paying for my tab which I had tried eyeing or waving down a server or asking for small things like napkins. I could see that they're understaffed and wished they hired more help. I'd still come back for their brunch. Ambience 3.8/5 From our seating it felt very crammed, since we could literally hear the conversation of the table next to us. It also does get loud since it's very busy. I also think their tables are quite small for the condiments and plates, which I'm glad my partner and I didn't order another dish. These are just stuff to beware of. They do have beautiful wooden panels on the wall to look at. I highly recommend having brunch here and will be coming back when I'm in the area. read more

Went here with friends on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed!! Luckily the line went by pretty quickly Pacific Sunrise 8.5/10 -the sauce was good! would have liked a stronger tom yum flavor though as it just tasted like a slightly more spicy hollandaise -the amount of smoked salmon was good and really complimented the flavor of the hollandaise sauce Breakfast Chorizo 9/10 -solid burrito!! I personally appreciate the amount of sour cream in the burrito and the meat and cheese were evenly distributed throughout. -the potatoes were also crispy but could use a little bit more seasoning Mascarpone Pancake 9/10 - loved this dish!! the pancakes were fluffy and of a good size. I would have liked if the mascarpone was evenly spread between the layers and not in a circle. Overall: 9.5/10! -worth the wait! service was good and food came out in a timely manner. definitely will be coming back! read more
The dining room was beautifully laid out, and while the service felt a little rushed at times, it was easy to understand why. This place is clearly popular, and they do an impressive job of turning tables without sacrificing friendliness or efficiency. I'm genuinely happy to see them doing so well, though I'm not sure I'm ready to wait an hour for a table again. That said, I'd gladly come back during a less busy time to explore more of the menu. We found this place on IG and decided to try it for brunch after landing from SFO! The vibe inside was modern and gave an elevated feel. The natural lights from the windows were great for this restaurant and the decor definitely made it feel like an elevated brunch spot which was perfect after coming from the airport. Food-wise, it was a bit mixed. Everyone liked parts of their meals, but not everything hit. We all agreed the chicken and waffles would be better with tenders. My BLTA was just okay..the turkey bacon was pretty floppy, but the fries were honestly the best part. Super crispy and seasoned really well. Service wasn't what we expected.. Our server seemed quite irritated from the start, and seemed irritated with us when we asked questions about the menu. It could be a one off but definitely made an impression on the overall experience. If we came back, we'd probably try more of the sweeter breakfast options and the drinks we saw in the videos. Overall, some solid parts, but not everything was what we expected. I'd come back for the fries though! read more

I didn't expect to like everything i tried here but they did knock it out of the park, let me breakdown everything I sampled and how it all faired The fried chicken and waffles, the fried chicken was good but what stole the show was the waffles, I don't even like waffles but I ordered another as a side since it was so good lol, light, airy, with a crunch, lather that butter on and dip it with the two choices of syrup OMG definitely order this, the chicken was pipping hot, fairly large pieces a drum and partial breast arm piece lol it was favorful but not as memorable as the waffle fried chicken sandwich with fries is what my son ordered, he stated it was one of the better fried chicken sandwiches he has had in awhile, (mind you he thinks popeyes chicken sandwich is good lol). He stated it was dense, heavy and flavorful daughter ordered scrambled eggs with bacon slices and country potatoes, she stated yum yum yum she finished everything but the toast she said she would finish lol the wife ordered the k-bomb benny, which was fried chicken lathered in a sweet sauce with eggs benedict, odd cause she does not really like sweet but she did almost finish the whole plate she did sample a little of everyones plate and felt we ordered better stuff then she did lol, ah next time she will try something else, her chicken was piping hot and crunchy, and yes it was sweet but tender and juicy at the same time with a crunch on each bite, I don't care for eggs benedict but my wife likes this style of dish she stated she liked it. drinks wise we sampled these items bloody mary with added bacon - delicious slightly spicy, almost on par with a Michelada, I would order this again kids ordered thai ice tea - smh one sip gone... tells you they liked it wife ordered house coffee she stated it was strong lol also sampled the butterfly lychee - it was refreshing and semi sweet, i would also order this again I would gladly come back and sample more of what they have to offer food ***** get the waffles lol price $$ service ***** helpful ambiance ***** its fancy inside, all modern, good for anyone that likes good food read more
I'm not the biggest brunch person but this place has the perfect mixture of savory, sweet, and full bodied flavor in everything they make! We ordered the pancakes, French toast and friend chicken Benedict to share and all were amazing! We kept talking about how good it was - I need to go back. Came here for brunch with a friend around 11am and didn't have to wait, which was a nice surprise. The brûlée French toast was definitely my favorite -- super soft and fluffy, with a rich, creamy sauce that was perfectly sweet and fragrant. The fried chicken was a bit disappointing. The meat itself was tender, but the coating wasn't as crispy as I hoped. The mascarpone pancakes looked absolutely beautiful, but they were a little too sweet for me -- might be a bit overwhelming if you're not big on desserts. We also ordered the berries harvest salad. It was okay, but not particularly memorable -- the strawberries didn't taste very fresh. Overall, the food was decent, but the presentation really stood out. Pacific Sunrise- a nice eggs Benedict with their unique hollandaise sauce. Very subtle on the Tom yum in that sauce but overall very well made. I like the toast at the bottom instead of the English muffin. The salad helps cuts out the heaviness and the crispy potatoes help add even more texture. Overall a nice place for brunch. Four Chairs is a brunch spot that is super busy and popping on the weekends. They don't take reservations on the weekends and we had to go early to put ourselves on the waitlist. We waited for around an hour before getting seated. Inside, the vibes are immaculate. It's fun, decorative, and vibrant. I can tell why people love spending their weekend brunches here. We then scanned the menu on our phone and their menu fits in with the vibe of a super fun and floral restaurant. We got the K-Bomb benny and the creme brûlée french toast. The K-bomb benny is super filling! It's a piece of fried chicken drenched in the sweet Korean sauce with a choice of salad or potatoes on the side and a benedict. The chicken tasted good. It doesn't justify the expensive price unfortunately. The french toast was tasty on the first few bites but it gets quite sweet in the end. Overall, in my opinion, this place is a 3.5/5 for me! It's averagely good with an expensive price tag, but the vibes are great inside. read more
Four Chairs is one of those brunch spots that immediately feels cozy but still cute enough for a "girls brunch. Drinks * Bloody Mary 4/5 - came fully dressed with bacon and celery which I appreciate. Flavor was solid and savory. * Strawberry Matcha 3/5 - Definitely the cutest drink. However, friend said strawberry flavor was a bit much and made the drink bitter. Volcano (Dalgona Coffee) 5/5 - thick whipped coffee foam on top. Texture was amazing and creamy. K-Bomb Chicken Benedict 5/5 This was the star of the table. Crispy Korean-style chicken with sesame glaze paired with eggs benedict and a spicy chipotle hollandaise. The combo sounds chaotic but it works. French toast 4/5 Classic brunch French toast moment topped with berries and butter. Crispy Chicken Sandwich 5/5 Solid brunch sandwich. Crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, tomato, and fries on the side. Good food, but long wait to be seated. We went on Saturday at 11am and put ourselves on the waitlist (their yelp waitlist is only open in person when you arrive). Took almost an hour to get seated, but when we got seated, the servers were really attentive by checking on us and helping us out. I got the strawberry matcha and I really liked it. I definitely would recommend to people who like matcha because it was the perfect balance between the earthy matcha taste and sweet strawberry that they use. My friend got the volcano coffee and she seemed to enjoy it to. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the creme brulee french toast to share. I thought the fried chicken sandwich was super good, but I think the bread they used gets soggy really easily because of the sauce. The home fries that come with the sandwich were good and just needed a bit more seasoning. As for the french toast, I thought it was great. It wasn't too sweet and there was a good amount of the custard to cover both thick slices of toast. I would recommend coming, but if you could come on a weekday for brunch and get a reservation, I would do that over getting on the waitlist for a weekend. read more

My friends and I came here right a little after opening and we were seated right away. The menu wasn't too exhaustive but the items seem like great options. We ordered three dishes; two different bennies and the crème brûlée French toast. (Shown in picture) I have to admit, for a place that's cute with very presentable dishes, I am very pleased to say that the food is ALSO yummy. Sometimes you get one or the other, but not both. The crème brûlée French toast was soo good - the crispy part, yumm! I was also surprised that the breakfast dishes were slightly more affordable than where I live in the bay. So that's a plus too. Finally got to try this place! Service was kind, checked in on us, and attentive. Helped us take our group pics too. Went on a Wednesday 10am, surprisingly already plenty of people by the door. Plenty of seating. Made a reservation just in case. Parking can be tough. Got the Nova omelette which was pretty good. Love that the sourdough bread was thick and good size. Potatoes were simple, not too much seasoning on it. Tried the K chicken being was good, just wish the chicken was on the crispier end. Love that the salad had a sesame dressing taste for a Korean dish. We enjoyed the chicken avocado salad! Great blend, good portion, and sauce and chicken were tasty. We came here bright and early to get on the waitlist, and luckily we arrived just before 10 a.m., so we were seated right away. The restaurant filled up quickly, but despite how busy it got, the service was still great. Our group of five shared a mimosa pitcher, which was perfect for the table. I ordered the Two Eggs Any Style with Hickory Smoked Beef Bacon and added a waffle on the side. We waited about an hour for a table for two on a Saturday, which was expected for brunch, but once we were seated, there was also a long wait between our drinks and entrées. Service had a few hiccups. My order came out wrong as I had asked to substitute fruit for the potatoes, but instead they removed my salad. Small mistake, but still disappointing. The menu feels similar to other popular brunch spots, but with a Korean fusion twist. For food, the French Toast Crème Brûlée wasn't toasted enough and ended up being too soft for my liking. I also asked for extra sauce to-go and was told it would be $4, which felt a bit excessive. The K-bomb benny was good, but it was essentially korean fried chicken served on the side of a plain Benedict. I think it would've been better if the chicken were incorporated into the Benedict itself. My friend ordered the Sunrise, and for the price, the portion of salmon was pretty small. The Volcano coffee drink, however, was delicious and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The whipped coffee had a strong, rich coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. Overall, the food was decent but on the pricier side for what you get. With the long wait, service issues, and portion sizes, I'm not sure I'd rush back, though the coffee was definitely a standout. read more

We split an order of the mascarpone pancakes. They were fluffy and delicious! The fruit was super fresh, the pancakes didn't need any syrup at all because of the rich mascarpone. Four Chairs in the Mission has officially been added to my "must visit for brunch" list. We tried two of their Benedicts and loved that each one had a totally different flavor profile, especially in the hollandaise - such a fun twist that kept things interesting. Their crème brûlée toast was the star of the table though, super decadent and a definite must‑order if you have a sweet tooth. The space itself is really pretty - clean, bright, and with cool, modern touches that make it feel both cozy and elevated. The whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming, and I'd definitely go back to work my way through more of the menu. read more
Yup yup yup! Finally made it to this place and the food was worth the wait! I started with the volcano coffee, which is coffee and your choice of whole milk, almond milk (extra), or oat milk (extra). The coffee at the top was thick, not quite like a milk shake, but stuck to the spoon. It was not too sweet, but like an iced latte. Then I tried the crème brûlée French toast and the K Bomb Benny. Both amazing! The French toast sauce tasted just like crème brûlée. This was just the right amount of sweetness. The sauce was similar in consistency to an evaporated milk. The hard sugar shell topper was also a nice bonus. The K-Bomb Benny was really tasty. The chicken had a kick. It was crispy and tasted like a buffalo sauce. The eggs were nicely poached. The hollandaise was a little too tangy for my liking. The potatoes were crispy as well, but needed some seasoning. The place was very cute. There was a good amount of space between tables. I had no wait at 1:45 in the afternoon. The service itself felt very rushed. Maybe because they were closing in 45 minutes, but I did get the hurry up vibe. Went on a Thursday around 11am and it was already packed. Put our name on the waitlist for 2 and waited about 7-8 mins although the iPad stayed 11 min wait. Never been here before however my bf brought home the crème brûlée french toast and it was sooo bomb so I ordered it again today and it was even better. He ordered the Korean chicken (Kpop?) I came with a friend on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation. It was pretty busy and there were people waiting outside. We waited about 30 minutes before we were seated, but once we were there was very quick service. We shared the k-bomb benny and the mascarpone pancakes. The K-bomb benny was very good and the chicken was nicely cooked and seasoned. It came with a little salad as well which was nice. The portion of the dish was as also quite large. The mascarpone pancakes were very fluffy and had a layer of mascarpone whipped cream between each pancake. It was very light and fluffy and not too sweet and came with fruit. Overall, I'd come back again but definitely try to make a reservation! read more

I had some pretty high hopes for this spot, but it didn't really live up to the hype (at least for the one dish I got). I would consider this a Korean fusion spot, and ordered the chicken & waffles. The chicken was huge and looked great, but was so salty I started feeling gross toward the end. It also had a dark grey color which wasn't great. The waffle was good though. There was also much breading it was just falling off the chicken and building up on my plate as I ate. My friends' dishes were ok, but I didn't eat enough to have a real opinion. This is my second time here and for some reason, the first time that I came, I felt like the food wasn't that amazing. I probably came when it was super packed and the overall experience wasn't too enjoyable for me. Came back two years later and gave it a second chance because my friend really wanted to try this place and the food surprisingly wasn't too bad! Both times though, I felt like the drinks tasted better than their food. I took a sip of everyone's drinks and none of their drinks disappointed me! Overall, this is a great place for brunch and the service was excellent! read more
Get here when they open and get seated immediately :) Worth the hype! The food is as tasty as it looks. Drinks were fire. Pancakes were our favorite but I'm glad we shared and both got savory egg plates. Don't think you can go wrong. They're fast and efficient, even as the restaurant filled up. read more
