I ordered the eggs benedict with sweet potato fries. There was a strong cheesy taste in my eggs benedict that I wasn't a big fan of but I used a bunch of hot sauce to mask the taste. I was happy with the sweet potato fries and I order them everytime at this restaurant. I had bottomless mimosas the previous time I came here. I was happy with our prompt service when we ordered the mimosas. This time I ordered a lychee cocktail and it was so tasty. We had such a beautiful and wonderful experience at this restaurant! There are butterflies everywhere, which is one of my favorite things, and it made the atmosphere feel extra special. The food was fantastic. The potatoes were crispy to perfection, and the eggs were cooked just right! I usually find that scrambled eggs at restaurants can be undercooked, but these were absolutely perfect. The outdoor vibe was great, although you can definitely hear some of the "drama" from the tables next to you -- but honestly, that's part of the experience! The waitress and service were both great. Even though there was a long line, I really appreciated that you can put your name on the waitlist and then walk around the neighborhood while you wait. TLDR: This was a recommendation for us to try, but I wasn't super blown away by anything. I'm not sure if it we didn't order the best items, but it was fairly average for me. Of the 3 dishes, that made the sandwich the best portion for the price, but there wasn't much to it. The place made it look like it would be very aesthetic, but the flavors and serving dishes gave me more diner vibes. We arrived at Peacock Pansy on a Saturday afternoon. Brunch in the city can be tough with wait times, so I appreciated how easy it was to make a reservation. When we arrived, we loved the aesthetics. Super cute spot, lots of groups and some bachelorette groups were here. They have tables for pairs and larger groups. If you have a dog, they're also dog-friendly! The service was nice and attentive; our food came out relatively quickly. I'm a fan of savory, so I was intrigued by their Okonomiyaki Omelet. I got it without cheese. I will say I wish there were more flavor to it, as it tasted primarily of egg. The potatoes were crispy. Fab brunch spots are common in SF and Peacock Pansy is becoming a fan fave up there with Son and Garden, Sweet Maple, Surisan, etc. Asian-American fusion menu, vibrant floral interior, and bustling energy has this placed packed at 11a on the weekends. We celebrated my friend's birthday here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Menu was versatile and inclusive of dietary preferences (gluten free and vegan/vegetarian). -Surf and Sea Benedict had jumbo prawns and fresh crab atop a buttery thick English muffin with a tasty hollandaise sauce and crispy delicious breakfast potatoes. My friend and I came here for brunch today on a Sunday around 12:30pm with a reservation. I made this because it's brunch and the bay was having a lot of events going on aside from the usual tourist traffic in SF and I didn't want to wait long to be seated. CHORIZO SCRAMBLE- really good. I could tell the chorizo was high quality. I enjoyed this with wheat sourdough instead of tortillas and I loved the potatoes. BRUSSELS SPROUTS & BACON HASH - my friend really enjoyed this dish. Drinks: Coconut Mochatini - my friend liked it bet felt the texture was dense. Cappuccino- I ordered this with oat milk. My boyfriend and I decided to check out Peacock Pansy for brunch this weekend after hearing so much about it. This place is always busy, and after visiting twice now, I can definitely see why. The vibes are very cute and give off that instagram feel. If it's a nice day out, it would be fun to get dolled up and take pictures in the interior. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, oozing liquid gold. And, the accompanying crispy potatoes were shatteringly crunchy with a soft interior. The rest of the dish fell short. The moo sawan is their take on millionaire's bacon. What a great find! Another spot I had bookmarked in SF for when we got the chance, and RB's extended birthday weekend was that chance. We came in on a late Monday morning, and happily the place was open - many places aren't on Mondays. I was thrilled to find out that they have a vegan menu, in addition to their non-vegan offerings. I am not vegan, but endeavor to eat largely plant-based for ethical reasons, and have major respect for restaurants that offer entrees free of animal products, instead of just a side salad or what have you. I selected the Vegan Delight Wrap, which is a breakfast burrito with a tofu & chickpea scramble, vegetables, and avocado. Delicious!! I was very happy with my choice, it was flavorful and satiating. RB went with the very non-vegan Triple Threat Burrito, and also enjoyed it. Service was excellent, friendly and hospitable. We ended up being the last guests there, but were not rushed at all. We had made a reservation but like many others commented, Peacock Pansy isn't really managing them appropriately. We were still sat within a reasonable window of time within our reservation but it had a chance of getting a little hairy honestly speaking. Looking over the menu, the Asian flair was evident and I loved it! But! Those prices....some of it is on the high side. Yes, it's Hayes Valley but entrees in the $30s? It's a bit much. We tried to stay on the cheaper side. I went with the curry chicken croffle at $23 and it was SOLID. Easily the best dish at the table! Everyone was taking swipes of the curry for their own dishes. The regular croffle and chicken was also pretty good according to dad but he felt the chicken was overfried and dry. Mom had the truffle mushroom scramble and remarked that she really liked the baby shiitake but really could have done without the chunky button mushrooms. My brother went with the ube French toast but it was very coconut forward. Overall food was good, but not great. Would I come again? Maybe. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for our table. At one point, the waiter asked us to go ask the previous party to leave, which was super unprofessional. They were done eating and had paid but were just hanging around. We watched multiple smaller walk-in groups get seated really quickly while we waited for our table . My friends also brought a birthday cake so we could cut it, and the servers forgot to bring it out at the end when they asked for dessert. I really wanted to love Peacock Pansy because the menu is full of fun, creative dishes. Overall, everything was interesting, but not everything landed. The standout was definitely the chicken and waffles, truly great. The potatoes were also solid, and the plates overall looked beautiful. I didn't really need the toast, though, and the vegan French toast was super thick and a bit hard to eat. The Tom Yum omelette was okay; it had plenty of crab and the tom yum sauce itself was tasty, but it wasn't spicy at all, which left it feeling a little flat. Service was great, and making a reservation through the Yelp app was super easy. I'd come back for the chicken and waffles, but the rest of the menu felt a bit hit-or-miss. read more

Super cute and chic spot with the best decor! Went here for a bridal shower with a group of ~12 girls and had such a great time. The space is very aesthetic and perfect for accommodating larger groups. Despite how busy it was, the servers were incredibly organized, taking our orders efficiently and bringing everything out in a timely manner. I had the mango coconut chia pudding, which was super creamy and delicious. Loved the fresh fruit and appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. For my main dish, I ordered the spicy tom yum crab omelet which had generous chunks of crab and a great portion size overall. The crispy potatoes on the side were amazing and I couldn't stop eating them! I also tried the strawberry mint sparkler, which was refreshing but a little too tart for my taste. Overall, such a fun spot and perfect for a girls brunch or special occasion. Service was kind and attentive, and they even helped us rearrange tables to get the perfect group photo. Sure, the Instagram-worthy interior is nice, but c'mon--we're here to judge the food. And honestly? It's pretty good! I got the breakfast burrito with a side of sweet potato fries. The burrito was solid, though it definitely needed some kind of crunch--maybe a hash brown or crispy bacon--and I wish the tortilla had been grilled. The sweet potato fries were standard but great, and I really liked the salsa that came with it. I also ordered a pumpkin pie latte, which was so sweet but so delicious. Absolutely downed that thing. My friends got tacos, a salad, chicken and waffles, and French toast--all of which looked stellar and super fresh. Prices felt fair for what you get. I'd definitely come back. read more

Such a beautiful interior, perfect to bring spring into your life any day. The carefully constructed canopy and wall of flowers are amazing, tailor made for an Instagram moment. We had a weekday brunch. I chose the Butter Herb Lobster Omelette ($31) but the lobster didn't have much flavor and the texture told me the seafood was frozen more than once. I made a rare return (seafood a vendor issue?) My dish was quickly replaced with a classic Eggs Benedict ($23) with perfectly runny eggs on extra thick English muffins like the ones I used to buy at the Alemany Farmers' Market. It was delicious. My son had the Moo Sawan Bahn Mi ($23), quite spicy with pork belly jerky, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, hoisin aioli and jalapeño. He liked it and the tumeric mango lassi ($8). Service was so kind and soothing in its tranquility, perfect for slowing down the day and enjoying a meal with big party of friends or one on one. The menu is beyond the usual offerings and quite inventive (Chilaquilas Rojas and Brussels Sprouts and Bacon Hash). There are lots of omelettes, wraps and salads to choose from the menu. Peacock Pansy is a special place to unwind right behind City Hall in the vibrant corridor close to SF Jazz and the Symphony and Opera. They'll do really well with brunch, particularly the pre-Symphony and Opera holiday crowds. We'll return. read more
