No bacon! But you probably figured that out, it's a nice clean atmosphere, us five guys ran in and plopped down for morning protein before redwoods. Got great service, decent menu, I only needed coffee and ditched for down the block my friend discovering his latte here wasn't worth it unless all other options closed. Chicken and waffles, eggs, pancakes, and no complaints; they finished I quickly hardly a crumb left by time I returned with a coffee. Prices are the usual city, double what we are used to in Indiana but eggs are a rare commodity in Cali!

an amazing restaurant and with the most helpful staff! came to san francisco for a little vacation and we were starving from the drive and my friend who lives here recommended it to us. i ordered the fried chicken sandwich with french fries. the fries were delicious especially with some ketchup. probably some of the best fries i've ever had. the chicken sandwich as well was amazing! my friend wasn't a fan of the sauce that he got with his order so i took it from him and i'm so glad i did! i think it was some sort of aioli but with the sandwich it compliments it so well. the chicken really was crispy and the coleslaw it comes with was really good as well. the vibes were also nice since it was more like brunch times. definitely would recommend this place as someone that isn't a local.

Absolutely delicious meal. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. You can scan a QR code to order and pay right from your phone which is convenient. Service was fast even when all the tables were full I ordered the C&B plate, which is $22 without taxes or tip. The chicken was fried nicely and was quite juicy, definitely not dry at all (I think they use boneless thigh meat). Waffles were fluffy and paired nicely with the syrup and butter. You can order the eggs scrambled, over medium, or over hard. I went with over medium and it had a nicely flowy yolk. The potatoes really stood out to me because they were crispy on the outside and still fluffy on the inside. I've had experiences at other places where the potatoes become soggy, but not at this place. And they were seasoned perfectly Overall, I'd rate this meal an 8.5/10. Pretty on par pricing for the Bay Area/SF for a delicious and filling meal. Would definitely come back and try more items

Great spot for breakfast! The space was small and a little tight but they managed to have plenty of tables indoors and outdoors. It is pretty warm inside, but outside was pretty loud with car traffic and the sidewalk busy with foot traffic. The food is served quickly after placing an order through a QR code. The waffle was great! Soft and crunchy and complimented with fresh fruit, syrup (not the maple kind) and powdered sugar! The fried chicken was semi grey I didn't get a chance to try anything else but it all seemed delicious! not a bad spot overall

Small space off Chestnut. They do turn over tables fast. The waitress was nice and helpful. I went for peppermint tea and the spinach-onion-feta omelette. The omelette was stuffed with fillings and was super tasty. The plate came with an orange and english muffin. A few notes .. the spinach would have been better if it was chopped before it was wilted. The loose leaf tea was $9 .. ouch!!!! I am also so done with QR code menus.

We visited Cracked & Battered on a Thursday around 12:30 PM, and when we arrived there were a lot of people waiting outside. Once we got on the waitlist, the estimate was about 30 minutes. While we waited, we walked around and did a little shopping since there are some cute stores nearby. We came back about five minutes before our wait time was up and were seated within the next 10 minutes. The owner is super friendly and funny -- he really made us feel welcomed right away. It's also really easy to order here. Once you sit down, there's a QR code at the table where you can order and even pay ahead of time, and the food is brought straight out to you. Before we even asked, two waters were already placed at our table, which was such a plus. The inside is pretty small and can feel a little cramped depending on where you sit, but honestly the vibe and the food make up for it. Our food also came out very quickly. There was a small mix-up with my eggs -- I ordered scrambled and got over-medium -- but they fixed it right away and even let me keep both, which I really appreciated. We ordered the C&B plate and it was SO good. The chicken was super tender and easy to cut. The waffles were the perfect bite-size (though I still cut them in half), the strawberries were fresh, the potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. It really felt like the perfect breakfast plate. I also got an iced coffee with vanilla and it was very smooth and delicious. Overall, I had a great experience here. The food was amazing, the service was kind and welcoming, and despite the small space, I would 100% come back and try something new next time. Highly recommend!

Attentive and friendly staff, clean and open spot in the Marina district. I ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken was a crispy and lightly breaded boneless thigh and the waffle was a perfectly crispy and light Belgian waffle. The food was hot, chicken was juicy and the waffle melts in your mouth. I wish they had more hot sauce options, but other than that, this place is solid.

Stopped by on a Sunday at 10:30, there was only a quick 10 minute wait for 3. Ordering was on a QR code at the table which was nice because we all easily paid our own tabs at the end. Food came out quickly! The restaurant itself is pretty small but has a good seating capacity considering the size. The actual food I wasn't too impressed, but it was not bad either. Would come back, but not in any hurry to do so!

Cracked & Battered is definitely a trendy spot and it was very busy when I visited. The vibe is fun and casual, and I can see why it's popular. The menu has a lot of variety and the food was good, but honestly, it didn't stand out enough for me to want to go back. If you're in the area and want to check out a trendy brunch spot, it's fine, just expect it to be busy.

Happening spot on Chestnut street with locals and tourists waiting for tables. Not much of a beverage section but their food is fresh and tasty. The service wasn't very organized with one of our orders being totally lost. Our server never checked on us so he didn't know about the missing order until we asked. I also overheard other customers asking for missing items. To top things off you have to pay inside but nobody ever brings you a check! Regardless the food is still good here, just stay on top of service so things don't take forever.

    Nasi Goreng
    Jackie D.

Came here for brunch and tried the Nasi Goreng which was fried rice with scrambled eggs and fried chicken. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. Everything on the plate worked together really well and felt like real comfort food done right. Service was friendly and the place had a relaxed, casual vibe. Just a heads-up: they don't serve alcohol since it's a halal restaurant, but the food more than makes up for it. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you're looking for something different from the usual brunch fare.

Dropped by for breakfast on a weekday morning and loved the food! The service was great, staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable. Portions are pretty big - we tried their pancakes and the fried chicken - the fried chicken is probably some of the best I've had in SF thus far. I'd definitely come back just for that.

First time trying this brunch place. I got the C&B plate. I loved the texture of the waffles. We also got the french toast. Overall really enjoyed the place. I liked ordering through the QR code. The wait time wasn't bad for a weekday brunch. Parking can be tough.

Yes he's busy, but he acknowledges customers walking in. Very cool! We were immediately seated, and while the tables are on the smaller side and fairly close to one another, it's still created a very cozy experience. They have a nice menu that with a variety of items. The people seated next to us were enjoying the salmon and it looked absolutely delicious. We went for the burgers, because it's one of their must try items on the menu. It's a Smashburger with gooey cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and this delicious deliciously soft tasty bun. Diners tip: the burger comes with onions, and we both asked for them to be grilled. This is definitely the way to go. The burger is very generous in size, snd delicious. Perfectly seasoned, well-made, and it is that taste sensation that we all crave when eating a burger. The fries were tasty and lightly seasoned, and if you can get through the entire burger and the fries, you get a gold star. I did my usual two bites and I was done and yes, I took the rest home with me. This is a great restaurant and definitely should be on your list of places to try!

Salad with sunchokes and citrus was a nice bit of roughage, nice bitterness in the lettuces. - Banana bread 'grilled cheese' is an epiphany. Cons: - 1 bathroom stall, can only imagine how rough this gets when during a busy dinner service. - Service was friendly, but often multiple asks for the same item, and long waits between check ins. Overall, a decent spot in an area flush with choice. Probably more of a 3.5 than a 4, but well round up here!

It was so good that it was the first time that we've ever repeated a restaurant for an anniversary date! I was hesitant that the second experience would live up to the first but it totally did and then some! We arrived 1.5 hours early to explore the Presidio - IMO the best and most beautiful part of San Francisco - and walked down to the Golden Gate Bridge and Beach where on an uncharacteristically immaculate, windless, perfectly baby bear (not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuust right) warm day we saw people body boarding and water skimming, stopping by the Korean War Memorial and the National Cemetery where endless rows of Korean War Vets killed in the line of duty are buried. The experience at Dalida is like a good dream that you don't want to end. If you go to Dalida, you might as well make a day out of it...we briefly stopped at Inspiration Point for a quick photo but you could also visit the Walt Disney Museum, the Lucas Film Lobby, the Palace of Fine Arts, take a quick stroll through Lover's Lane, visit the Presidio Officer's Club, or just hang out on the immaculate lawn across the street beforehand. It's housed in these stunning red brick buildings (where soldiers used to live in wartime) that make for some spectacular photos. From the marvelous front of house (shout out bubbly Meredith & kind Jackie) to the excellent service (shout out to Johana or Jo who was like one of the best servers we've ever had to the point of being memorable...perfectly personable without a hint of pretentiousness, warm, accommodating, and really knowledgeable about the finer points of the meal). We were lucky that Top Chef Season 21: Wisconsin 4th place finisher & Co-Head Chef Laura Ozyilmaz happened to be in the kitchen that day as we got her to sign a photo that we took with her last year. (I LOVE TOP CHEF so this was really cool!). She's so unbelievably down to earth friendly and passionate about her food. This would all be nothing without the FOOD. Last year we got the tasting menu and we got it again! It was a perfect blend of it's greatest hits and all new food we haven't tried before. The only things that were repeated from last year were the Fattoush Salad with crispy cucumbers, juicy flavorful heirloom tomatoes (WOW), sweet apricots, parsley, crispy pita croutons, candied walnuts, and tangy pomegranate molasses dressing (so perfectly balanced with amazing texture...a recurring theme throughout the meal) and the memorable Breaking Bread which should be renamed Breaking Bad because I think their Chubby Pita (hands down the best I've ever had) is laced with Walter White's crack or something man b/c it's soooo good. Accompanying the puffy pita is the best and smoothest hummus I've ever had, something called Muhammara which is a delicious, sweet roasted red pepper spread with walnuts, smoked yogurt (another WOW), punchy olives, and refreshing pickles. Welcome snacks included something called Sabzi (very herbacious and floral), an amazing Octopus Panipuri with Mint Chutney, and Mussels stuffed with rice. No misses here...everything is distinctive, exploding with flavor, and delights with various textures. Next came a crunchy Kibbeh with either curried lamb or beef (I forget)...it came with a Tahini sauce with a smiley face dollop of balsamic. =) This was followed up with a delightful carob pasta with pork shoulder...the flavor on this dish wasn't like an explosion per se and was more muted compared to the other dishes but it was hearty and reminded me of a good Italian ragout dish. It was still excellent and a delightful contrast to the rest of the meal. Then came the highlight and star of the show: a completely succulent, I-don't-need-teeth-to-chew pork collar which was impossibly fatty and unctuous and tender, accompanied by this appropriately tangy pomegranate sauce that got back on the flavor bomb.com train. What came with it was a complete surprise. I forget what the Turkish name of the dish was but it was like a Rice Wellington! The fragrant rice inside was flavored with dill and sweet Turkish Apricots and was baked inside this perfectly crunchy, flaky, buttery puff pastry...another WOW dish I've never had before and bet you haven't either! We also ordered a side of the crispy buttery Persian Tahdig rice that we enjoyed so much last year but that didn't come with the tasting menu this year (order it if it's not on the Tasting Menu). Dessert was the unique sticky Turkish Ice Cream that we remembered so fondly from last year and craved again since, a refreshing and not-too-sweet Strawberry Jasmine Sorbet, Sesame "Halva", and a chocolate cake with honeycomb ice cream. Everything on the menu is unique, creative, whimsical, rooted in Chef Sayat's Turkish, Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Persian, and Arabic (!) heritage, flavor bomb.com, and simple food elevated to something memorable.

So lucky we got reservations for a group of 6. We ordered drinks and a little bit of everything…read more From the breakin bread, to octopus, to beet salad, to the lamb shoulder, fish, chicken and a couple of desserts. My top favorite has to be the breaking bread, octopus and the black ink pasta. Everything was tasty and perfectly portioned for family style. The desserts were amazing, baklava, chocolate cake and the chocolate tart. Everything was perfectly sweet, meaning not too sweet. :) Got here early and got to walk around and watch the sunset after a full belly.
