We saw outside and it was thankfully not cold in the parklet, it definitely blocked all the wind and I felt nice and cozy. Everything was pretty affordable and delicious. We shared the mushroom soup and they split it for us into two bowls. It was delicious, not heavy, and the lemon complimented it nicely. It was very warming and tasty. We also got the meatball wrap, which was quite big and tasty, and came with some super crispy potatoes. It also came with some tzatziki which was great. Lastly, we shared the sunrise combo. The eggs and the pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet, went well with the yogurt and blueberries. Overall, everything was great and pretty good in price. On a weekday morning, people were slowly trickling into Lokma. Since my friends and I came right as they opened, it took a while for our order to come out after ordering, but service was friendly. I tried their Sunrise Combo, which was a filling portion of Greek yogurt, two blueberry pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Oh Lokma, I think you've been bookmarked since the pandemic for me. My best friend and I came for an afternoon meal and were left satisfied. Lokma is a popular and well known Turkish spot in the city. I'd always been curious about their brunch. I suggested my best friend and I dine here and added us to the waitlist. Since it's a popular spot, I recommend keeping in mind the wait times. They have both indoor and outdoor dining and are dog friendly. We sat outside where they also had a heater. Service was super friendly and kind! Very neighborhood charm type of vibes. I'd always wanted to try the Turlu Omelette which is what I got. It's ratatouille in an omelette. I honestly found it fine but a bit watery with the veggies. I also wish I could taste more seasoning within. It is a good job filling me up but I don't think I'd order it again. I'd be interested in coming back to try their dinner. Lokma is a neighborhood staple for Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. They're off Clement in the Richmond, so parking is street or metered. At Lokma, one of my favorite spices, cinnamon (I use it in savory dishes as well like chili) ruined my appetite. The omelet was beautifully executed, it was fluffy, soft set, folded. Tzatziki on eggs? Amazing. The Arnold Palmer was balanced and very refreshing. The staff was very attentive and the actual wait was only 10 minutes. I love the restaurant interior. The issue with ratatouille was cinnamon dominating so much that I couldn't taste anything else. The server mentioned they don't typically add cinnamon to ratatouille then confirmed with the kitchen that they do. Arrived a half hour early for our reservation, and was seated inside right away. (Outside seating with heaters and blankets is available) but this Hawaii girl likes being warm! Tried Efes Turkish beer-yum, followed by warming cream mushroom soup. Love a good mushroom soup on any day. We had stuffed ourselves earlier so we decided to share the patata bravas -crispy fried potatoes in house sauce, feta and olives. Then came the most popular dish at the restaurant, Manti. Tiny beef filled dumplings, covered in yogurt and tomato sauce. Something about the size of the dumplings made this dish especially delicious. This is a place I would visit again and again.... We were able to snag an outdoor seat and we were seated in the patio area with heaters so it was nice! Service was excellent and our waiter was friendly. What a long wait put our name down at 1 PM on a Saturday and the wait for 3 was about 40 minutes. Walked over to get a coffee at coffee roasters down the street while we waited. For a party of 2 on a Sunday at noon, there was a little wait, just 5 minutes or so which was perfect for us (we sat inside). Greek Yogurt Pancakes: I'm not typically a pancake person HOWEVER! it was so good! It was a thick, creamy pancake and I just kept wanting to eat more and more of it. I'm so glad I found Lokma! This is easily one of my favorite brunch spots in Richmond District. The atmosphere is lovely and our waitress was both welcoming and attentive. Not sure what to get, she recommended the Turkish breakfast, which she said keeps people coming back. Now I know why! The Turkish platter was served charcuterie-style, which offered a delicious variety of both savory and sweet items that pair well with the pita bread, eggs, and sausage. I love the honey spread! I'm not picky, but I was not able to figure out what I didn't like since it was that good! Having a bit of everything feels so much more fun and satisfying than a typical American diner breakfast. Overall not a terrible experience but definitelt disappointed with Lokma. Stopped by here on Valentine's Day for dinner and was so excited to finally try one of the more hyped restaurants in our neighborhood. We got the $75 pp Valentine's Day tasting menu. The service was generally good, the food definitely came out quick and our server wasn't unfriendly (not super friendly or attentive either but fine), but the food was honestly so subpar for what i was expecting. Tbh, idk if this is representative of Lokma's offerings on a regular basis. Tbh, it felt like they were cooking things in bulk since it seemed like most tables had the Valentine's Day tasting menu as well, and a few plates came out cold and just generally didn't taste that good. My favorite thing was the presidio salad (and the dessert). Nothing uber special but was a simple salad rly well done, and the other dishes were very mid. The grilled lamb kofte wasn't bad per se, but it was nothing special at all. Basically lamb meatballs. The braised short rib was barely warm, and maybe the least tender short rib I've ever had. Feel like short rib is hard to mess up in terms of tender/moistness, but this was pretty dry sadly. The mashed potatoes, however, were prime! So delicious and buttery. Lastly, the baklava was delicious. Maybe the best part of the meal. Overall it started out and finished strong but the middle two courses were so subpar it kind of ruined the meal for me. The wine selection also wasn't great and i didn't love the glass i got. I'd come back here to try brunch but that's about it. Can't recommend dinner here after my experience. If you want really good Turkish/med food in the neighborhood, i recommend kitchen Istanbul over this place. If you want the best Mediterranean food you can get in the city, opt for Dalida in presidio. read more

It has ground beef in the center and I enjoyed this unique dish a lot. The sauce is nice and creamy. Braised Short rib: 6/10 Very tender meat, but on the bland side. There wasn't a sauce for it so it was less flavorful than other braised Short ribs I've had other places. Wild Alaskan halibut: 8/10 Definitely enjoyed the halibut more than the short rib. Delicious food and amazing staff. Our party was able to join the Yelp waitlist and get seated right away! Choosing to sit outside and enjoy the nicer sf weather. We sat down and got to ordering. Deciding on the Turkish breakfast for two the lamb and beef burgers. We split the burgers and ate the Turkish breakfast family style. That burger was soooo juicy! I would highly recommend the combo of beef and lamb made for a not too oily bite. Of the Turkish breakfast sides I was a fan of the hazelnut spread and the honey dishes. And the flatbread was a perfect vehicle to dip and soak up all the yummy sauces. We also shared the watermelon mimosas which did have pulp it in. Came in with a party of two for dinner around 6pm on a Monday. We did not make a reservation and were given high top seats by the window. It's a cozy spot, and I was surprised they were able to seat that many people in that space. Dinner food was okay, all in all more like a 3.5/5 rating, but I was not wowed. You should double check with the waiter and clarify a few times if you have food allergies. My friend has a dairy allergy and we clarified a few times that meant no butter as well. We shared the calamari which was tasty. The texture of the couscous pearls, nuts, and the calamari was chewy and fun to eat each bite. My friend ordered the burger and really enjoyed that. As for my braised short rib, it was prepared nicely as I barely had to use my knife. I wish there was a flavorful sauce that it came with to dip the meat and potatoes. Lokma is a real neighborhood gem in the Richmond. My friend suggested it as our TGIF dinner spot and we shared the citrus salad, trio of spreads, manti and lamb chops. All of the dishes were fabulous. I highly recommend the spreads to start. I was licking the spreads with my spoon even after we ran out of pita bread. It was that good. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly medium rare and the manti were fantastic mini-dumplings. The portion size is on the generous side so bring an appetite. Service was excellent and attentive. Had brunch here with 3 others. It was the first time for each of us (one person had been here for dinner, but not brunch) and we all loved it. I shared the Turkish Breakfast for Two with one of the others and we had a lot of leftovers for me to take home. Loved all the little dishes in appearance, variety, and deliciousness. I wish I lived closer to here because the food was SO good! I came on a Sunday late morning with my brother and this place was PACKED. We waited for a while and got seated outside (nice day). The Turkish breakfast was stellar and a must-get -- quite comparable to Troya's set, but at a better price point. I loved the nuttiness of the spreads, the olives were tasty, the honey and cream was delightful, and so nicely balanced with the tomatos/cucumbers. Also the sujuk in the scrambled eggs is brilliant -- savory and creamy. We also got a grilled chicken sandwich, which had a nice tzatziki sauce, tender chicken, and crispy potatoes. We also got orange juice and Turkish coffee which were perfect complements. Plenty of food for two and we left super satisfied.
