    Pomodoro e burrata panini

Clementina is a great option for anyone looking for delicious gluten-free Italian food. My friend and I visited for lunch on a Sunday and had a good experience. We ordered the Clementina Pizza and the Pomodoro e Burrata panini. The pizza was very filling, so we ended up taking the panini to go. The service was fast, and it was nice to eat somewhere where I did not have to worry about whether the food was truly gluten-free. Street parking was a bit challenging due to the farmer's market, but there are several parking structures nearby.

I had heard so much about this place, so we were all excited to finally try it. It's a bit tricky to review because gluten free dishes that try to replicate traditional versions can be hit or miss, and with that in mind, I think they did a decent job. The ambiance was nice, and our server was warm and attentive, which made the experience feel welcoming from the start. What didn't quite work for me was the flavor balance. Some of the pairings felt off, like certain pasta shapes matched with sauces that didn't really complement them, and at times it felt like the flavors were pushed a bit too strongly. That said, I absolutely loved the cotoletta. It really stood out and was a genuinely great dish.

Mother's Day and Mom is gluten free. Everyone was delighted with Clemintina. It's authentic Italian and everything is fully gluten free. We started with beverages. Mom had a Mimosa and two of us had Chinotto, like an Italian version of Coca Cola. I always seek that out and it's a sign of authentic Italian food. We had three appetizers between us; asparagus with cheese, focaccia and fried smelts, which were excellent. Focaccia was a bit springy, which you expect for gf. Next up, we had a pizza, the branzino and costoletta all Milanese (pounded pork chop like a schnitzel), which is highly recommended and outstanding. Chef made it for us even though it wasn't on the lunch menu. We left stuffed and sated. Everything on the menu is gluten free, but the food is comparable to what you would get in Italy. Mom said it was so relaxing to be able to eat anything it's also fine for celiac too. It was cold outside, so we opted for bar seating which was a lot of fun and the service was excellent. We will be coming back.

Appreciated the very gracious service! Buzzy ambiance and just the right amount of dimness. I couldn't tell the pastas were gluten free. - Gnocchi: unfortunately was cold, certainly needed more heating up. The sauce with the lamb interestingly tasted like chef boyardee - was hoping for braised lamb from the ragu description - Rigatoni al pesto: lacked attention to detail - the string beans still had their tough stems! The pesto tasted like store bought pesto, was expecting more flavor - Branzino: cooked perfectly and just rightly salted! Wished there was more done with the carrots and attention to detail on the fish - fins were intact and more bones than expected - Tiramisu: the shortbread layer was not fully soaked, lacked flavor. The cream layer was mostly whipped cream - did not get as much marscapone in it

I'm not GF but was curious to try this new spot. I think they are still working out some kinks in the kitchen. The apps were overly salty (green salad and the cauliflower). The salad was overly dressed/salted and the cauliflower had both olives and capers in it which is major overkill on salt. The pastas were solid, the pesto rigatoni and the gnocchi with meat sauce had good flavor and texture. The rigatoni in particular I couldn't really tell was GF. The gnocchi was more dense than regular gnocchi but still good. The interior is well-done but certain tables are nicer than others. We were seated in the back and my friend was basically facing the wall where they run the checks. The service was attentive. Would come back to try again once they're more established.

Our waitress at Clementina was truly lovely--attentive, kind, and easily the best part of the entire experience. Unfortunately, everything else fell far short. My partner has celiac disease and a dairy intolerance, so we were genuinely excited to try a place that seemed like it could accommodate dietary restrictions. Instead, we left extremely disappointed--and honestly shocked at how underwhelming and overpriced the food was. Across the board, the dishes lacked flavor, balance, and basic execution. Several items even had an off-putting fishy smell, which made them hard to eat, let alone enjoy. We rarely leave meals unfinished, but this was one of those times where we simply couldn't continue eating. GNOCCHI AL RAGÙ DI AGNELLO - The gnocchi itself was fine, but the lamb ragu sauce was a bit too sweet for the gamey-ness from the lamb. I expected this to be savory dish and it came out almost sweet. 5/10 RISOTTO CROCCANTE E MIDOLLO (vp) - The bone marrow tasted genuinely off, borderline spoiled, which is unacceptable. The risotto itself had no real flavor to redeem it. 0/10 MARGHERITA (no cheese) - We understand removing cheese changes a dish, but this was still disappointing. The crust was decent, but everything else lacked seasoning or character. Oddly, the olives were the most flavorful part. 5/10 VITELLO TONNATO - Extremely underwhelming and especially frustrating given the price. Completely lacking in flavor and finesse. 0/10 POLPO E PATATE - A good blend of flavors but missing salt. 6/10 INSALATA DI CAMPO - Not cohesive at all. The fennel and arugula created an overwhelmingly bitter profile that wasn't balanced properly. A few pieces of clementine weren't enough to save it, and the dressing did nothing to tie it together. 0/10 For the price point, this was honestly unacceptable. Good service cannot make up for food that is this poorly executed. We came in excited and left regretting the experience. Definitely not a place we'd return to.

As a party of 7, we were looking to have an enjoyable early Mother's Day lunch. We chose Clementina's after seeing a review for a completely gluten-free restaurant. My adult son was diagnosed with Celiac disease just over 10 years ago and the idea of eating out and my son being able to eat anything and everything he wanted plus sample everyone else's was an exciting opportunity! It did not disappoint!! We started with the focaccia bread. We all agreed, it was a 10/10. Then we shared the eggplant fritters and baked mussels. Fritters were good, but a bit bland flavor. Mussels were gobbled up. For the entrees, our group had 3 different pizzas, the pesto pasta, gnocchi, fish of the day and the beet salad. Everyone LOVED their food. We all shared, took bites of each other's meals and the best part was our son with Celiac not worrying about cross-contamination! Dessert was the tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake...yum, yum, yum! My son was in heaven and ordered more food to go! Our family will be back. Service was great...timely, friendly and informative.

I really wanted to love this place but it didn't WOW me, I am very glad it's 100% gluten free and as someone with celiac disease this was a must try. I ordered the lasagna al pesto, which waiter explained was not layered lasagna (totally fine) unfortunately it came out on the colder side and some of the pasta was overcooked/burned which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. They brought it out at the same time as the costelleta alla milanesa (pork chop) which was good also. The bread was very fluffy and delicious that was probably my favorite thing..cute environment, they had a movie playing on the projector as well. I'll definitely give this place another chance.

Just finishing up our meal at Clementina for their opening night. Superb! Standouts were the pizza, lasagne (the béchamel was incredible), and their meringue dessert. The owner and staff are super pleasant and up beat, service was excellent and the vibe in side is very tasteful. It almost threw me off that nothing is labeled gluten free but indeed EVERYTHING is gluten free. They have focaccia! So glad to have a new spot to eat at. Can't wait to come back and bring friends.

The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer.
