Passed by this bar in an Uber once and had it bookmarked since! I thought it looked cute inside from my brief glance and recently, I finally had a chance to check it out. My party of four came without a reservation, so we were seated along the wall against a small countertop area. It wasn't the most comfortable setting for a group hangout. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. Space is a bit small so seating is limited. Ambiance is a vibe though. Cute and chic little wine bar in a central location. Between the four of us, we ordered the bread/butter, ceviche, Dungeness crab garlic noodles, and the Wagyu dog to share. We also got a bottle of their Lambrusco. The stars of the show were definitely the wine and the garlic noodles. I wouldn't recommend sharing the Wagyu dog as it got a bit messy. Everything was definitely overpriced, and portions were small. We had to order takeout from another restaurant afterwards to satiate our hunger lol. I'm glad I tried this spot but would only recommend stopping by if you're not very hungry or are just looking for some small snacks before an actual dinner.
One of my favorite spots for light bites and wine (I got a N/A pear drink that may be my favorite thing ever but it was more expensive than the glass of wine...). Be prepared for a larger bill than normal and be prepared to probably still be hungry... but I do like the ambiance and the interesting dishes
This spot is a hidden gem! It's a small wine bar that's Vietnamese inspired. Super cool concept and small wine brands from all over the world. I loved the vibe in here it's very dim lit and cozy, perfect for a date night! Our waitress was lovely and they didn't rush us even though they were closing. Food recs: it looked like they had really great food options, when I went I only had dessert and wine. Their banana tapioca pudding was delicious and paired well with the wine! Next time I come, I really want to try out the ceviche and oysters. just a heads up, parking in this area is very limited, would recommend ubering or other transportation! Overall, would definitely come back!
GiGi's is a Vietnamese-fusion wine bar that I've always passed by and am super glad I finally get to try. We walked in around early dinnertime and managed to snag counter seats, but the place filled up super quickly afterwards, so make a res! price: ~$30/person We were looking for a minerally bottle of red, and staff was able to give us a solid rec for Austrian pinot noir, which we split over a bowl of the homemade shrimp chips. Normally, I'd be like "what are homemade shrimp chips?" but these were super light, puffy, and well-seasoned. The space itself is equal parts ambient and lively due to the decor and music. In a way, my friend and I felt like we were actually in Vietnam!
My first impression upon stepping into GiGi's was that the music was way too loud. Although branded as a Vietnamese inspired wine bar, it was as loud as a club with pulsating music that really didn't fit the mood or overall vibe of the place. I got the attention of one of the bartenders working the counter and informed her we had a reservation. We were soon seated and given bar bites and wine menus. When the waiter came to take our order, I opted for the Riesling glass of wine for something on the fruitier side. We also ordered the siu mai with lap xuong, shrimp bao, garlic noodles, and wagyu dog. The siu mai was the best item we ordered, but it was difficult to eat the dumplings with a fork, and they fell apart. Chopsticks would've been way easier to use for this item. Everything else tasted rather meh, and nothing tasted anything like authentic Vietnamese food. The sauce in the shrimp bao didn't pair well. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it was too creamy but not savoury enough. The garlic noodles were extremely salty and tasted nothing like the Vietnamese late night staple. Instead what we got here tasted more like Italian or French Asian fusion. I didn't even try the wagyu dog, since hot dogs aren't my preference, but I tasted the pork floss topping and didn't like the flavour, as some of the kewpie and sriracha had gotten mixed in. Overall, GiGi's felt more New American than Asian or even Asian fusion, let alone Vietnamese. If it were branded as a New American/fusion bar, I'd rate it slightly above average, but at face value as a Vietnamese inspired establishment, it fell way below my expectations. Only if they added more Vietnamese style dishes and drinks would I consider another visit.

Great wine bar! Vibes are super cute, lighting is dim and dark, but great place to yap and chat. Mostly french wines so a bit more better, but lots of options. Dessert was great, very unique. Service was awesome as well, staff was very friendly.
Cute and classy wine bar on Divisadero! My 2 friends and I stopped in at 7:30p on a Thursday for dinner and a bit of wine. The bar was really busy but luckily we were able to get counter seating right away. A fun ambiance although it got quite loud while we were talking. We ordered the summer roll, cheese platter, mapo noodles, and waygu hot dog to share. Cheese platter 5/5: Plated like ceviche and very unique with the honeycomb topping. Went great with the soft and crispy bread. Mapo Noodles 4/5: the group favorite! Sauce was a little heavy but the egg was cooked to perfection Waygu hot dog 3/5: delicious but didn't really taste the waygu Summer roll 4/5: light and fresh. Beautifully arranged and I loved the noodles in place of traditional rice Many unique dishes that are definitely all worth trying! The wine by the glass selection was smaller than I was expecting but I still enjoyed the I. Brand that was recommended to me by the bartender. Great vibes overall!
Such a chic spot tucked away on a corner off Divisadero. It's intimate and warm, lively yet very relaxed. Food-wise, I found the Vietnamese fusion concept to be executed very well. We tried: - NON 1 - nonalcoholic sparkling wine with raspberries and chamomile! Such a delicate and refreshing drink (and also cute with its rosy tones) - scallop ceviche: super fresh and the sauce was really flavorful/had very clear Vietnamese influence - wagyu hotdog: while delicious and piled high with toppings, not worth the price because it is a hotdog at the end of the day/you can't really appreciate the wagyu. The flavor profile (again, very delicious!!) can be found in a savory bun at a Chinese bakery - garlic noodles: I inhaled this one - I love garlic noodles to begin with, but these were extra umami and indulgent. Loved the addition of shiitake here. - house made laughin' calf cheese tarte - the server suggested having this at the end which was cool! It presented like a beautiful cheesecake so my taste buds had to reorient with every bite's actual taste and texture (not in a bad way at all!). It was fun to experience this dish from the savoriness of the cheese to the sweetness of the crust (spiced with nutmeg/ginger perhaps?) and persimmon jam on top. The server was also super kind and poured us a bit of red wine to pair. Happy :)
Did a little wine bar hopping on a Sunday afternoon and came to Gigi's for the first time. Almost every seat was taken around 4pm, the energy was definitely buzzing and the vibe was very fun. We had a glass of white and a chilled red, both great recs from the staff. We were intrigued by the Asian-inspired food menu, but only got the bread and butter and shrimp chips as a little snack. The bread and butter took a while to come out and the staff were nice enough to take that off our bill. Cannot wait to come back with more friends and try out their food offerings!
Really nice new spot added on Divisadero street! I went with a friend of mine on Thursday night few weeks ago around 7pm (I booked a table days before) and we ate at the communal table (a table shared with other few couples). The menu is really interesting and we shared few things: the bread, the mapo noodles and the tuna salad. Everything was delicious (the noodles more spicy than I thought, but they were really good). It's a wine bar, so I thought to find someone really skilled about it, but when I asked for a non-sweet wine, the wine the waiter suggested wasn't really what I asked for. Overall I enjoyed the experience and after 90 minutes you really have to go.
After seeing some reviews about Chef Ty's newest wine bar endeavor, I had to check it out myself. Contrary to some reviews about this place being over rated, I had an amazing experience. Here's what I ordered: +caesar salad - your standard Caesar salad with a Vietnamese twist. Wish there was a little some fish sauce or Vietnamese flavor, but it was still good +wagyu dog - prosciutto, furikake, pork floss on a perfect Feybesse bakery bun. This is an amazing wine bar and restaurant bite. +mapo tofu noodle - this tasted like maruchan stir fry noodle but in a good way! I wish it had more of a mapo tofu flavor +basque cheesecake - must get this. This was the best thing of the night next to the hot dog. The jackfruit and cheesecake combo is divine In addition to the amazing service and ambiance, the wine selection is pretty exquisite. We asked for a red that wasn't too dry and was good for a white wine drinker and our server suggested the best bottle. Don't forget to get their chambong if you are still thirsty!
Vietnamese Caesar salad is, for me, a top 3 salad in SF alongside the tea leaf salad at Inle Burmese (yes I've tried them all and it's definitely the best) and the kale salad at Laundromat. Incredible. I could have eaten 5. The hot dog is also exceptional and one of my the favorites I've ever had. I feel like I eat a lot of specialty hot dogs at places like Hayz Dog and their cohort around the Bay Area and this was just really amazing. Wine program is thoughtful and I had a great Croatian wine. All around excellent.
Ambiance was moody and a vibe inside. I love how intimate it is - perfect for a girls night! Just two girls on a Saturday evening and scored a table in the back. Our server was super friendly, helpful, and provided great service to make us feel welcomed and he seemed very excited about the menu. Food was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the peanut salad and how creamy and fresh it was. Perfect started. The shrimp baos were unique but super juicy, not too flavorful. Pork floss shumai was flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Garlic noodles were buttery, creamy, and had such a unique flavor I was really surprised and loved it. Absolutely amazing dinner and will be coming back! read more

Came with my friend to try out this wine bar! I hadn't been before, but it was my friend's second time. We both got a glass of white wine, and it was quite delicious! They have a decently sized selection to pick from. We also ordered some food: shumai, scallop ceviche, and bread and butter. The standouts for me were definitely the ceviche and the bread and butter. The bread was perfectly fluffy yet crisp, and I really enjoyed the butter that it came with! The ceviche was also very fresh - I like the hints of fruit and the edible flowers! The service was great as the servers checked up on us periodically, and I also enjoyed the ambiance in the way the restaurant's interior was designed/decorated. Definitely a great spot for a girls' night out or a date! read more
The good: the scallop crudo was phenomenal and the dungeness crab deviled eggs had a lot of crab!! Bad: crab garlic noodles were good but not amazing (not a huge fan of the sauce) And they had a special to replace crab with a whole lobster tail and we should've gotten that bc the crab the noodles came with was super small. Also of course to echo other reviews, the prices were high for very small portions. Would go back for the scallop crudo. The sauce was outstanding! read more

Came to Gigi's with a reservation for 8:15 and did not get seated until 8:38 - was a bit disappointed. Highlights were the waygu dog (good snap and enjoyed pork floss and side of pickled veggies with it), mapo noodles (has a nice spice to it) and the Vietnamese caesar (great dressing). The milk bread was a bit on the dry side and pork belly skin was not as crispy. read more

We got lucky by grabbing a couple of seats at the window bar facing Page St. Normally would recommend a reservation. We shared our plates and the food was innovative and wonderful. The venue is nice and cosy with a modern feel to it. Would certainly recommend this place. Not full bar though. Only wine and beer. read more

Friend made reservations for two at 6pm, arrived right at 6pm but table wasn't quite ready, took a few minutes before we were seated. Wine bar was packed super busy, all tables and seats were pretty much taken. Highly recommend a reservation or be prepared to wait. Food: bread and butter - milk bread dinner rolls with butter, these were well browned with a nice crisp exterior served warm, came with two rolls to an order Ceviche - good, salmon was buttery, very unique flavor combination, lemongrass was an interesting twist, was served more room temperature, wish this was chilled slightly more, served with two rice crisps Gado gado - nice crunchy and refreshing, the peanut sauce was delicious, nice combination of textures, ate a tad watery wished they just used regular cabbage but overall enjoyed Waygu hot dog - good, hot dog had a great snap and flavor, nicely toasted bun, loaded with toppings the mayo, unagi sauce and pork floss were the primary flavors I picked up on Service was fine, checked in regularly, water was refilled throughout the meal, food came out pretty quickly. Overall a fun addition to NOPA, a nice spot for a glass of wine and a snack. Wish we got to linger here a bit longer but this spot was so busy and other reservations were arriving. Worth a try, maybe aim for an office night or make a reservation. read more

Lovely new wine bar with great food on Divis! The interior is beautiful and they serve great wines and Vietnamese food. It's the perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends. They take reservations online too so it's good to make a reservation online if you want a table. If not, they have bar seating. We ordered all the mains and all the desserts. The hotdog and the banh mi were really good. The mapo tofu noodles were solid, it was a decent portion size for bar food and I liked the tofu and the mushrooms. The texture of the noodles was great but it could have used more mapo flavor. The matcha flan and the basque cheesecake were excellent! read more
As a Vietnamese and a food/wine lover, I was excited to hear about this Vietnamese inspired wine bar spot opening up. My friends and I came in on a Wednesday with no reservations and we were able to get seated a small counter with high chairs. We appreciate the accommodations! Great cozy and intimate ambiance. I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine which was priced fairly. Among the 3 of us, we shared a dozen oysters, the Wagyu dog, the banh mi, and the ceviche. Dozen oysters: tasted fine for me but unfortunately for my friend, the ones she had were grainy and missed the mark for her. The banh mi mentioned truffle pâté and I couldn't taste any truffle. It was a good banh mi but overpriced for what it was. The ceviche was supposed to have a lemongrass taste to it per its description and even though it was tasty - I didn't get the Vietnamese inspiration I was looking for. Lastly, our favorite bite of the night was the Wagyu dog. It had amazing flavor profile with nice texture. Really innovative and delicious hot dog. Overall, it has a lot of premise but it didn't hit the mark for our first visit. I understand they've just opened so things can only improve from here. Open to coming back some other time! read more

I was really excited to try this new wine bar off page street! We started off with obligatory champbongs followed by my favorite type of wine - a Lambrusco. I was really interested in their Asian fusion food selection but felt it kinda fell flat to my expectations. Nonetheless, definitely a spot worth checking out! read more
What a wonderful brand new addition to the neighborhood! A nice place to relax and wind down with a glass of wine or bottle of wine! Warm and cozy ambiance. European and California selection of wines to match. You do not come here for a full on meal per se but nibbles on Vietnamese food. I tried several items on the menu and my favorite would have to be the wagyu hot dog! I used to and still buy a hot dog 8 out of 10 times I go to Costco. Well, this hot dog is elevated in quality and umami flavors. The juiciest hot dog on a warm milk bread bun with mayo, pork floss, and furikake. A hot dog on steroids! Will definitely stop by again for relaxing moments with a glass of wine and a hot dog! I will meet you at GiGi's! read more

Delicious food and wine, as well as great service. The restaurant has a few tables for reservations near/in the back and mostly bar seating. We ordered the ceviche, a waygu dog, and the spicy mapo noodles, as well as a bottle of Maria Ganxa and loved every bit of it. Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Overall, it was a great experience and we're looking forward to going back to try more items from the menu. read more

First: the inside looks pretty cool for a wine bar. Nothing crazy but feels cozy. Second: small menu for food, weird that theres a hotdog on the menu and everything else is either too small of a bite or an expensive dinner plate. Menu just doesnt make sense. Cons: There were many.... Service staff were drinking on the job in blatant view. On top of that they looked a bit unkempt. Someone came in to talk to the manager about new wines and the lady working was already talking behind her back, as if we wouldn't hear her. Food: We ordered: Gummy ice tea Ceviche Caesar salad with shrimp Wagyu dog Iced too was too sweat but had nice flavor Ceviche has cheese on top which was really strange and the juice was too overpowering and you couldnt taste the salmon Caesar salad was bad, definitely worst ive had in a long time. We ordered it with shrimp and they somehow forgot to put it in the order even though no one was dining except us and 1 other person. It took another 10 minutes for 3 small overcooked shrimp to come out. Wagyu dog was served on such a small tray that all the pork floss and stuff on top was falling on the table. Overall the hotdog was good but didnt match the rest of the menu. The sauce also comes down the sides and you end up with a sticky hand which is not fun when youre drinking wine and wearing nicer clothes. I wouldve gave this place another chance if it wasnt for the poor service staff and the lack of menu items. Mainly the service staff. Hopefully others have a better experience and this place can be a fun place to go. read more

Checked this out and didn't have a reservation. We were able to walk in and get bar seats. Others were turned away as it was full for a bit. It's fairly small but really cute inside. Service was friendly but rarely checked in for more drinks or orders. Drinks were good. Tried wine and beer. We ordered the tofu noodles, tartare, and cheese plate for food. Tartare came out first. Only wish it came with more than 1 very thin small chip. The cheese plate was good but felt way overpriced. It was 1 cheese, 1 lychee cut up, 3 tiny pieces of jackfruit, some shredded carrot, nuts, and a couple thin smears of spread. It came with the milk bread but was a bit over baked. There's never enough bread or crackers so forces you to buy more or waste the food. So we ordered more bread which was also over baked but slightly less than the first plate. The noodles were the best part. They def had some kick with the chili in it which I liked but could be a bit spicy for some. I'm glad I was able to check this place out. New, classy and intimate wine bar on Divisadero. I was there with my two girlfriends for their wine pairing dinner event. We had a blast that night and enjoyed all dishes and wine we had. My favorite was the scallop ceviche, the plate looks like a piece of art and the taste is well balanced with a little spicy touch which I like a lot. The lobster toast was also beautifully presented and it went great with my wine pairing. The garlic noodles are solid, savory and the noodles are cooked perfectly. The dinner event was a 6 course pre-set dinner. All dishes were amazing and the portions were pretty generous. Great deal for a 6 course dinner. Our waitress was super tentative to our table and she patiently explained each dish and wine to us. The staff are pretty knowledgeable and passionate about wine. This classy wine bar is a great addition to the neighborhood. read more
Delicious food, lovely ambiance, and great service. I look forward to taking my chic friends here. Whats great is they don't exclusively have natural wine. Seating can feel a little intimate, but it's still a wonderful place to eat. I'd recommend giving it a try. Pricing for the passionfruit beer is a bit inflated, but it is incredibly delicious and I'd recommend giving it a try also. read more

Six of us climbed on their stools and ate together. Some good innovative selections, a small neighborhood pub feel with bright tasty food selections. Our servers were happy to be there, and their enthusiasm was contagious. read more
Great vibe inside and great wine! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Recommend ordering from the bar bites and raw menu. If you order the ceviche or tartare, make sure to get an order of the shrimp chips! You have to order a chambong if you go and highly recommend ordering the Lambrusco. I would skip on ordering the hot dog and the mapo tofu noodles as they were a little underwhelming. Overall very fun place to go with a group or on a date, definitely will be back to try more of the menu! read more

GiGi's is such a gem! The interior is beautiful, offering a warm, inviting vibe that's perfect for a date or catching up with friends. I went around 4pm, and it was the perfect time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I had the Caesar salad, bread and butter, and the charcuterie board--everything was delicious, and the wines paired perfectly with the Vietnamese-inspired dishes. I had a reservation (definitely recommend making one), as I've tried to drop in before without one and they weren't able to accommodate me. The service was fantastic--attentive without being intrusive--and the staff really knows their stuff. I'll absolutely be coming back! read more
