Mortadella and truffle pecorino romano cheese
Rise G.

I enjoyed InoVino's happy hour. They have a decent wine list as well as a good selection of meats and cheeses. Service was friendly and efficient. They have a few tables outside for nice days but no shade, so be ready to catch some rays if you sit outside.

Came here for date night thanks to the new Amex Platinum Resy benefit, and it was such a great find. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and everything we ordered hit the mark. We had the meatballs, Rigatoni All'Amatriciana, Brussels sprouts, and a pesto pasta. The meatballs were tender with just the right amount of sauce, and the Rigatoni had that perfect balance of heat and richness. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and flavorful, and the pesto pasta was fresh and bright without being heavy. It's the kind of neighborhood spot you can dress up for or just relax and enjoy good food and wine. Will definitely be back to try more pastas and maybe linger over dessert next time.

Unwinding after race day

InoVino made such a great impression on us when we popped in here after this year's Bay to Breakers, that when my partner asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday this year, InoVino was an easy choice. Unlike on race day, this time we came correct, with a reservation, and dressed the part for a night on the town. We were welcomed in by the staff and seated at our table. What we ordered: *Robiola 2 Latti cheese *Smoked oysters (2 orders) *Pesto pasta *Gnocchi All the food was absolutely delicious. The cheese is one of the best soft cheeses I've had. And I could eat that pesto pasta for three meals a day. I wish we had had dessert, but we were too satiated at that point. Next time. We've had their tiramisu before, and it is amazing. As far as the vino, I am entirely unfamiliar with Italian wines, but the staff is happy to make suggestions and let you taste until you find something you're happy with. After trying a few different wines, my partner and I settled on a couple of reds that we liked. As always, when we're enjoying a restaurant, we take our time. We were there for hours, and the staff never rushed us. We left very full and very happy. This is SUCH a sweet, romantic little spot, absolutely perfect for date night or an intimate celebration. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday celebration here. Thank you for a lovely evening, InoVino!

Perfect neighborhood spot that has a little bit of everything you need -- wine, pasta, light appetizers, pizza! Doubles as a very charming wine bar with a great selected list of italian wines. My favorites were the southern reds. 1. Burrata with crostini ($18) 2. Rigatoni All Amatriciana ($25) -- this dish was great, sauce was super flavorful (light, acidic, a bit spicy) 3. Pappardelle with lamb ($32) -- The pasta was overcooked but the sauce and lamb coated the noodles perfectly Service was great, our servers checked on us multiple times throughout the night. Came on a wednesday night at 7pm and every table was occupied. It's a very small place so the place fills up quick but love that the business was great.

What a fantastic neighborhood spot in downtown San Francisco! I recently came here on a Sunday evening with some work colleagues and we split a little bit of everything - they were out of prosciutto, which we originally wanted to order a pizza with it - but everything we did try was remarkable! The brussel sprouts with truffle? I will never want to make brussel sprouts the same again! I also thoroughly enjoyed fried squash blossoms and the gnocchi. Service was absolutely excellent and I cannot wait to visit again when I am back in the Bay Area!

Previous review had way to much Bay to Breakers comments. This one is more about the place. Another fantastic experience at Inovino. We arrived minutes before our reservation time and were promptly seated. We both started with the Ribolla Gialla Proseco for drinks and the tinned fish smoked oysters along with the Robiola 2 Latti cheese. We have had this cheese before and it is rememberable, hence, we had it again. Next up the Fusliil Al Pesto Genovese. My partner went with the Moscato wine while I hung out with the Sangiovese. The oysters were so good we did them again along with the Gnocchi Al Porcini e Spinaci. Again, we have had this before and here we are again. The wine selection changes here a lot so what you get tonight may not be here next month. The service is quick and friendly. Inside seats about 24 with an extra 4 at the bar. Outside there are about 14 seats. Dress accordingly for outside 'cause it does get cold. I think lots of neighborhood peoples converge on this spot. See people popping in just for a glass of wine and others for dinner. We had reservations as did others. Not so sure if was necessary but why chance it. Stellar place.

Stopped in after work for birthday celebrations with friends. As many times as I've been by over the years I hadn't been in. We got seated right away and it's really cute inside. It's cozy and intimate and has outdoor seating as well. Eric was our server and helpful with questions, friendly, and even brought out a bday dessert! We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and a cheese board. Everything was great and looked and tasted wonderful. Can't wait to come back and would love to try more of the food.

Rigatoni all' Amatriciana

Wine bar with a homey vibe and fantastic Italian food! Highly recommend InoVino! Ambiance & Service: The inside is small but well-spaced, giving it a rustic, wholesome feel. The service was excellent--attentive and relaxed! Food & Drink: - Orange Wine: We shared a bottle of their natural orange wine, which was wonderfully tart and not too sweet! - Cheese/Salami Board: They made us a delicious board with prosciutto and pecorino. The bread was soft and fluffy! - Rigatoni all' Amatriciana: This pasta was incredible! The sauce was savory and slightly spicy, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. TL;DR: Perfect wine bar for a relaxed happy hour or dinner. We loved the Orange Wine, Cheese/Salami Board, and Rigatoni!

Great neighborhood spot. The staff here are a joy, they know their wine, really help you find a great glass or bottle to enjoy. The staff's energy is evident how they work the room and outside tables. The food compliments the wine, simple, savory and just a gem in the neighborhood.

The ONLY reason I give 4 stars was because the owner spilled red wine on us (complete accident & they compt'd an item + free dessert) - but even after that 4.5/5 is appropriate for this gorgeous little ristorante. The fact that the owner was there to begin with shows the caliber of restaurant. The food and wine is phenomenal, ambiance is so nice (a teensy but loud inside), and the service was great. Highly recommend as a legitimate Italian wine/dinner spot in Cole Valley!

Aside from the food being a bit lukewarm, this place has a wonderful ambiance, very attentive staff and a great selection of delicious wines! I would recommend treating this like a wine bar and not a restaurant. If you do decide to order food, I would avoid the Rigatoni All' Amatriciana--it was disappointing for complete lack of flavor. Instead, I would pair the Butter & Sage Pasta with your wine if you want a light yummy snack.

Margarita pizza and almonds. Both mostly eaten:) yum!

This is a local favorite for my wife and I. Their happy hour is great. Always new interesting wines to try. The margarita pizza is not your typical margarita pizza. It's thicker and rectangular. But still delicious. We usually get the herbed almonds. I like the pickled vegetables too. All are on the happy hour menu. The service is VERY nice. The place is tiny inside, but romantic. It's a great date spot. For dinner I recommend the gnocchi. It's pretty epic. I highly recommend this place!

Feels like a European wine bar. Good HH deal. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good charcuterie with a great selection of cheese and meats. You can select which ones you want and create your own board. pasta or flatbreads also available for a larger meal.

I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
