I love Parc, so last night we went to Bar Jabroni! We ordered a fantastic bottle of wine and several dishes. Everything was perfect, from the tables and chairs to the atmosphere and the friendly service. The fries were the thinnest I've ever seen; I'm still savoring them!

Service was great at the beginning, especially when it was slow, it slowed down a little later on when the place was packed. But it was perfectly fine all around. The ambience is a very casual bar, with a few tables. It works great in this cozy little neighborhood. Food was really interesting and creative. We had clams, focaccia, milk, bread, even a couple of desserts, and the sea bass as well as the Wagyu steak. The entrées were all excellent. The desserts were a mix bag, the cake was OK, but the chocolate dessert was delicious and exception. Would definitely go back and try more.

Came here on a weeknight and snagged a bar spot for 2 people! Small bar and bites place in lower haight. Would come here mainly for drinks/ wine selection. Food was good but not standout and very slightly on the pricier side for the portion. Definitely a vibe in here though!

Love going to Pal City so we checked out Bar Jabroni last night! Enjoyed an amazing bottle of wine and a few items from their menu. Loved everything from the tables to the ambiance and friendly service. The shoestring fries were the thinnest I've ever seen. Dreaming of them!!

Went to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience. Service was top notch and we never felt rushed but were well attended to the entire time. The wine list is great--many amazing wines for very reasonable prices. Food was delicious and fresh but really not meant to be shared with multiple people so get your own main. I do wish that the stools had some back support, by the end of the night I was ready to lean back and relax at home.

Oysters!

Lovely atmosphere, excellent and friendly service, delicious wine and oysters. Service is everything for me, and this spot made me feel like I was a regular with just my first visit. The bartender was warm and knowledgeable in a very genuine way. Unfortunately, we had dinner reservations elsewhere, but we were nearly drooling over the plates that were coming out for other guests. Already looking for excuses to get back to the city and hang out here again.

Fish we sent back

The food started off delicious but ended in a huge failure of a fish dish. We are finding that it is hard for many places to execute fish properly. We really enjoyed every other dish we order but sadly had to send the fish back. Not only did it taste bad( way too fishy) it was also over salted and tasted of bacon. It sat it a liquid that was a brine or a light watery sauce. The service was excellent, they went above and beyond to make it right which we highly appreciated! The ambiance was cool with chartreuse being the main color, very cool tiled tables and candle in wine bottles lining the back of the bar. We believe the menu changes often since we were given recommendations on what to order from a friend but didn't see those items on the menu. I would give this place another chance because I really wanted to love it. It fell short by just a smidge.

We'd been hearing about Bar Jabroni forever but finally snagged a res and WOW. Every single thing we ate was unreal. We kicked it off with the beef tartare (Szechuan peppercorn, kumquat, like, yes??), then tore through the house focaccia with whole milk ricotta. That bread was gone in seconds. The romanesco cauliflower was such a surprise hit - charred, nutty, saucy, crunchy - all of it. For mains, we got the strozzapreti with pork sugo (so rich and cozy) and the black cod pil pil, which was buttery, flaky perfection with these crispy potatoes I still dream about. The wine? A+++ no notes. Perfect pairings, super interesting list. We wanted to try everything. Vibe is laid back but cool, like a wine bar and a bistro had a hot, fun baby. Honestly the whole thing was a 10. We're already planning to go back and order everything we didn't get to this time.

Really attentive service, good food and good wine selection! We celebrated a birthday here and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Every dish was delicious, with the shrimp louie and pappardelle mushroom ragu being my favorites. One minor critique is I would have preferred the pappardelle to be less al dente and maybe a little thinner. Nonetheless it was my favorite dish of the night. We ended the meal with a nice buttermilk and sesame cake.

Had an amazing time here! We made a reservation for 8:30 on a Thursday and arrived 10 minutes early and were promptly seated. The vibe inside is very romantic and dimly lit, perfect for a girls night or a date. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and knowledgeable about the wines -- I'm not a huge wine person but was pleasantly surprised by all the glasses we ordered -- the skin contact was refreshingly light and fruity, and the red chardonnay was also light and not too dry. They paired very well with the food we ordered; we got the date and scallion pancake with whipped feta, the house focaccia with whipped ricotta, the japanese sweet potatoes with cured egg yolk and miso butter, and the steak with mushrooms and farro. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the scallion pancake (it was a tad too dry and I wish it was flaky instead of crispy) but everything else was fantastic!! The sweet potatoes tasted like a dessert because of the miso; almost like caramel. The steak was cooked very well and went perfectly with the creamy green goddess dressing and flavorful mushrooms. The focaccia was also so yummy with the whipped ricotta! All around a spectacular meal and I can't wait to go back! The prices did add up ($180 for 2 people, for 3 glasses of wine and 4 dishes) but the ambiance and vibe and food made it worth it.

Bar Jabroni has a really fun ambiance and an appeal to it. Definitely make sure to make reservations as it may be hard to do walk-in. My friends and I share some small plates and they were tasty but I would say it is quite pricey for the quantity of what you're getting. So just keep that in mind if you're coming in hungry.

An amazing date night spot. The ambiance is fantastic, dimly lit, but not too dark, with just the right amount of the background noise where you're not yelling across the table. The service is friendly and efficient. And the food is incredible. Every single dish was delicious and very well thought out, with interesting flavors. And on top of that, the plating is stunning. Thought and care goes into every single dish in every single step.

They made recommendations that were exactly what we were looking for (crisp white wine, not too dry and a good red). Our favorite part was that Happy Hour is 25% off everything! We scored a bottle of Nergomaro wine for $45, which was a steal. We sat on the patio, staying toasty under the heated canopy while we enjoyed the sights and sounds of Cole Valley. We were told 10/15 minutes for a table. Took 50 minutes - nearly an hour! We totally should have gone somewhere else but alas we eventually were seated. I got pasta and also and some of the pinsa (Roman style pizza). Also had the meatballs. Everything was just so so. The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Nothing special. Meatballs also solid. Somehow my pasta came up 12-15 mins after everything else's food which was entirely confusing but oh well. The wine was good. Overall a cute little wine bar in CV, would def come back but nothing to write home about.

I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
