Came here on a Thursday for their happy hour. Their happy hour is $13 for a flight of three wines and the pour is heavy! We also got their flatbread of the day which was really tasty. The flatbread is more of a chip, but it was still really good. It gets really busy during their happy hour and it is a dog friendly place. The server was very accommodating. The patio is cute with some barrels as tables and the inside is dimly lit. Overall, I like this place a lot and will keep coming back. read more

3.5/5 Went for bastille day and it was packed and super loud. Which would be ok, but it was really hard to get water or not get bumped into. When our group finally got a table we pulled an extra chair in to sit and one of the waiters was pushing my back off of it to move. It would have sufficed to say nicely if we could move the chair. The bouncer was also brusque and not welcoming which didn't help. Wine was alright, had the sparkling gamay but nothing special and the glass felt a bit cheap. Overall will not be back but maybe the experience is better on a different weekday. read more

Been wanting to come here for awhile and so glad I did. The happy hour is one of the best, with so many choices of wine and bites! Lots of vegetarian options as well - I loved the artichoke and the daily flat bread which had no meat either. The server was so kind and helped us choose our wines for the flight. As a wine bar Amelie is perfectly serviceable. While the ambiance isn't particularly to my linking, the wine selection is good, and the wine flights are well priced. Unfortunately, I also happened to order the food. The food was all mediocre at best, but mostly bad. Overcooked, oily, and confused is the best way I'd describe the dishes. Came here for happy hour with friends and had a great experience! They do an early happy hour on weekends (starting at 2pm), and the happy hour menu prices were great for both food and wine flights. And every dish we ordered was delicious! Off of the happy hour menu, we got the crispy artichokes, goat cheese, flatbread of the day (butternut squash), and 2 orders of croquetas. We also ordered brussel sprouts and escargot. Everything was a hit! Service was wonderful as well. The people we interacted with were French (so it seems like a great place to practice speaking French if you're so inclined). Do not come here if you are a woman and don't want to be touched by wait staff. My friend and I came here for happy hour and stood by the bar and within minutes both of us were touched behind our backs by wait staff. Thought it was just a one time thing, so we ordered our drinks. We ended up waiting by the bar on the other end and a different server grabbed both of my bare shoulders from BEHIND to move me aside.. no "excuse me" or "behind you". It actually scared me because I didn't know who was grabbing me, and as a woman I felt extremely uncomfortable being handled like that. My drink never came and when I went up to the bar again, the same guy that touched my friend and I that took our orders was convinced I didn't order anything. I told him I did, and he ended up putting his arm around my shoulders to lean in closer. It was at this point we decided we had enough and we did not feel safe getting any additional drinks here. We went back to our seats pretty upset at this point, wanted a refund, and the same guy came and crouched next to my friend to listen to her but put his hand around her AGAIN. I'm not sure if he was sober because when we told him to stop touching us again he fell backwards on the ground - with everyone watching. We ended up just calling for the manager to ensure we got the refund. The manager listened to us, but wow I have never had such an unnerving and unprofessional experience at any bar or restaurant like that. I highly doubt the servers would have touched and grabbed us if we were men. We were completely sober and really wanted to have a good time here. Unfortunately as women we did not feel safe in this environment at all. The wait staff need to learn to keep their hands to themselves. read more

It was topped with chives, served with cornichons. $10 Jamon Serrano Croquetas: good! definitely fresh, because it came piping hot. I had to cut it in half and let it steam for a few minutes. $19 Octopus Carpaccio - pickled capers and pickled peppers, pomegranate: great! very tangy taste, get it if you like sour flavors $29 Duck Leg Confit - Grimaud farm duck leg with gratin dauphinois, salad, duck jus: excellent! crispy skin on duck leg with green salad and radishes helped lighten it up. We got the fried artichoke bites (yummy), happy hour flatbread (which I assume changes depending on day/week/whatever the chef feels like making) and coquettes (not my favorite). I missed ordering the wine flight and the charcuterie board, which looked yummy. As other reviews mentioned, the lighting is a bit dark. If you sit at the bar or closer to the door, the lights aren't as dim as the back. Otherwise everyone is friendly and it felt like this was the neighborhood wine bar. My friend and I came on a weekday evening and were seated immediately. I loved the aesthetics of the wine bar with the dim red lights and intimate atmosphere, but honestly the place was too loud and difficult to have a conversation. Smoked Salmon Tartare: This tasted fresh and was delicately seasoned, and the acidity of it kept it light and balanced. Escargots Gratines: This was personal favorite bite! They were buttery and garlic and basted in a delicious pesto sauce. The bread that went with this dish was perfect to soak up all the sauce. Duck Leg Confit: The salad greens paired with this dish were too salty in my opinion. The duck leg itself had crispy skin and tender meat that was slightly difficult to pull off, and I wish the portion size was a bit bigger for this bite and price. I really wanted beef tartare but it's not on the menu anymore. We opted for cocktails instead of wine & I had the Saint German 75 & my friend had the white Negroni. Drinks were pretty good. It's a little dark and cozy but the bar area is gorgeous. The service is just slightly slow but it is quite a rush in here, so that is understandable.
