The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken Alfredo it came with feesh french bread. It was very creamy and rich. We'll seasoned. I personally will not be going back. The service was ok. I felt like they were rushing us. They weren't that friendly. They kept asking if there was anything else we wanted to order right after we just got our food. It was a 45 minute wait for two people so we walked across the street to Belle Cora and found a pleasantly heated bench seat overlooking the street all lit up in color. The window to the wine bar was open so that we could listen to the gentle live music as we sipped this delectable wine in the ambiance of swaying foliage. The vibes were so nice to sit around, get drinks, and chat with friends, although we sat right by the live music so it was a little hard to hear my friends. They also have $2 off all drinks after 9pm everyday! One thing to note is that their outdoor seating is open / first come first serve, which means you seat yourself and thus makes it difficult if it's busy and if you have a group. Also, their food menu is extremely limited and have small portions, so I would not recommend coming here if you're looking for dinner in addition to drinks (as my friends and I were unfortunately). Overall the ambiance was really nice though, so I would come back in the evening with a date or friends just for drinks and some small apps. read more

On 10/18 I was actually across the street at Sotto Mare when I saw some young men, maybe teenagers, in bear costumes coming from what I'm assuming was the No Kings Rally, because they were carrying protest signs. They were clearly young men of color and were also wearing Arabic head dresses. They were quietly walking down the street when I noticed a 20 something yr old man at your establishment in the seated patio area, maybe having brunch with his GF and friends. I can only assume your patron was intoxicated when he began to loudly harass these young men, unprovoked, with racial slurs and taunts regarding Terrorist organizations. I was seated outside and could clearly hear him disrupting the street. The young men were taken by surprise and hurried on their way. But a few minutes later, with their pizza in hand, they calmly approached the man who was heckling them and politely asked him if he was the man yelling at them about Hamas and if so, if he'd like to have a conversation to dispel any fear or anger he might have at them. I remember because I was proud and quite impressed of these youths for approaching what could have been an inflammatory situation from a place of wanting to educate your patron in a calm and collected manner in order to facilitate a discussion and dialogue. What ensued after was very disappointing on the part of your staff and from a heightened and delicate optical perspective, could be interpreted as possible racial discrimination. When these youth approached your patron, never once did they raise their voices, nor did they enter any part of your private property. They remained on the sidewalk. Your staff member illegally told them that they were trespassing and that if they did not discontinue harassing your patrons (which ironically, was the opposite of what happened) staff would call the police, detain them and have them arrested. Never once did your staff member make any inquiries as to what had occurred and who said what. The children then continued on with their pizza. I attempted to call your facility several times when I returned home but was sent to voicemail each time. My question to you, hopefully as the owner or manager of this establishment, is whether you feel comfortable with your staff not only harboring a racist individual, but also harassing clearly Brown youth? As a born and bred POC myself from the Bay Area, I will tell you now that I am not comfortable ever patronizing your establishment, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Shame on you for propagating hate and prejudice. read more

Came here after playing pickleball with a Hinge date because we wanted live music, and Belle Cora did not disappoint! They offer a warm, fun parklet and it was packed--we were lucky to get seated without a reservation! We split the Heirloom BLT (Applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomatoes and romaine on ciabatta) and Sausage and Polenta ('Little City' Sicilian sausage with polenta, tomato sauce and Parmigiano-Reggiano) and some drinks. Great neighborhood hangout! Belle Cora has been a part of North Beach since 2015. I remember seeing them open up and thinking "Good luck to them!" because that location was not very kind to new businesses! Well, fast forward 6 years and Belle Cora is still there and going stronger every year! During the pandemic, when the city permitted outdoor sitting, Belle Cora's seating capacity almost doubled! They now have live music and comedy nights outside and that has made them a big hit with those of us who enjoy heated outside seating and good beer or wine. They have about 6 or 7 beers on tap and many bottled beers to choose from. Their wine collection is pretty good too. They offer wine from around the world including Sonoma and Napa. If you are not too hungry you have a good set of choices from their "Shared Plates" menu, and if you are hungry they offer a few choices including their 2020 award winning burger. I can't drink nearly as much as I could a few years ago, but I still enjoy a couple of beers off the tap while listening to live music and chatting with friends around a table or neighbors sitting on a table next to us. read more

It's such an idyllic location with a cozy bar inside and a lovely patio facing the baby Italian delicacies across the street. First of all. You should check out Belle Cora! Cute and fun, with outdoor seating around tables that have has fireplaces integrated into the center. They have nice shared plates and a couple of main courses as well. I think my boyfriend and I tried almost every dish on the menu (and it was a very reasonable price) so I can definitely tell you what to get. For the shared plates, definitely try the raclette (not something I see a lot, fun to try the unique things!) and might as well add on the ciabatta, it goes well with the raclette. I would have liked to try the burrata, but maybe next time. For entrees, the lamb meatballs were nice, and the ricotta cheese was a nice touch. The Mezzemaniche Pasta in Meat Ragu is also great; it's very flavorful. We didn't realize but we went on a Monday, and they had trivia! It was really fun, the right amount of challenge, and didn't last too long (some trivia drags on!) read more

Ordered delicious Dying Sun Hazy IPA from Ghost Town Brewery in Oakland and since we were bit hungry and vegan options were limited, we ordered the impossible burger that did not come w anything else but just the burger for $14, the burger was actually good, it did have caramelized onions on the bottom which made it taste pretty good, no fries was a disjappointmenting tho to be honest. Tried to phone in an order but got to a voicemail. Walked over and ordered in person and chose to wait while sipping a City Lights (?) beer. Service is fast and friendly and the outdoor seating is cute. They have heaters but it's in your best interest to dress warm. The beer was great, the food came before I finished my pint. Too bad you can't order alcohol to-go! I opted to get the Bergy Burger and the Pretzel Knot. Here are my thoughts: Bergy Berg -- I showed up intending to get a single patty but ended up getting double and adding bacon. No regrets. The bun was a bit burnt but it didn't affect the taste, just not aesthetically pleasing. The burger itself was impressive and checked all the right boxes: juicy, flavorful, indulgent in the best ways....it would have been great even at its most basic! I gobbled this bad boy mad quick and felt sad when it was all over. Pretzel Knot -- so good, but not really worth $4 in my opinion. What a tease! This does makes me curious about their Bavarian Pretzels. Overall, loved my experience. I'd love to go back and dine at their outdoor patio for a proper experience. read more
