Inside the tasting room - Cozy!
    Shayla B.

Tucked away in the crevices of Fisherman's Wharf, you'll find this charming little tasting room. This is where delicious wines meet chill vibes and impeccable service. The Winery Collective is a local wine collective that's comprised of several different SF based wineries. Sometime before COVID hit, several of these wineries had tasting rooms on Treasure Island. I remember visiting the tasting rooms, all unique with different varietal specialties. Through this collective, these same wineries have been able to survive through their wines, and I'm so grateful for that. Speaking of the wines; they are so delicious! What I love about this collective is the variety. If you're craving for a tasty sparkling wine or a California staple (Rosé, Chard, or Cab), they have the Winery SF label. If you're looking for some Italian goodness, the Sottomarino label is fabulous for it. If you want some amazing light summer whites, the Viognier and Gypsy Blanc from Sol Rouge will be your babies. I could go on, but you catch my drift. The selection is top tier! The events are super fun and engaging as well. Attended a Drag and Mimosa show about a Month ago, and it was honestly all the rave! Brought a friend along with me and she couldn't stop talking about. We had a blast! The mimosas were on point too. There's always something fun happening at the collective, so never fear the FOMO! Lastly, I need to shine a spotlight on the staff and the stellar service. Kostas and Michael are absolute gems! They've hosted my friend and I in the tasting room, and it is always a pleasure to chat with them both. They are knowledgeable, fun, and filled with infectious energy that can be felt throughout the tasting room. Hats off to them for never skipping a beat and always keeping the wine spirit alive! I truly adore this place. If you're in Fisherman's Wharf (or anywhere in the city honestly), you must stop by to experience the magic. Tell them that Shayla sent you ;).

Always a good time at this cute spot in Fisherman's Wharf next to Argonaut Hotel and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. My foodie bff invited me to this fun spot, and we keep coming back. The owner and staff are so nice and inviting. Can't wait for new events on their calendar. There's so much to do around here afterwards, and so many restaurants nearby. Never a dull moment at the wharf. I love their wines by the glass. The mimosas are tasty, too (very little juice wink, wink). 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY).

The location was beautifully located next to the water and around other shops in a plaza. The parking was not the greatest and we had to pay for it. I was also not impressed with the overall size of the place. It was not as elegant as I expected for the name. It reminded me more of a pub. The company was great and that made it a lot more welcoming. Overall the wine was tasty but not enough for average price. I liked the service although it was empty. I recommend to go on Groupon and save some money on this adventure.

Had a great time here to start off the night on New Years Eve. Decided to try the Mix It Up flight which lets you try both red and white wines. The wines were tasty and our host Luna explained what we could expect in terms of tasting notes; she was very friendly and offered great conversation. The atmosphere is cozy, lit warmly and comfortable. There's both a bar and tables to sit at

Had a wonderful time at the tasting at Winery Collective. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgable and very fun to chat with! It was pretty slow when we went, but a great hidden gem. Everything we tried was amazing!

To preface, this area of San Francisco is very tourist heavy and we stopped into this location with that in mind. Overall we had a nice time, very friendly staff and a very social crowd. The wines seemed to all be pretty local, specifically from two wineries. We tried two different flights, a white wine and mixed wine flight. The wines were fitting for their value. Flights included 5 wines.

We wandered in after having brunch nearby. It's a calm wine stop tucked away in the business of fisherman wharf/cannery area. The pourer behind the counter was very friendly in welcoming us in and talking us through the different options for flights. She continued to be quite helpful and knowledgeable throughout the tasting as well. She was great at balancing addressing the group and giving us space to enjoy the wine and talk amongst ourselves. I do think I will be back for sure especially because there are a few fun brunch spots nearby!

What a fun winery right in the Fisherman's Wharf! We stopped in for a wine tasting while exploring the area. Half of our party had already been before so they wanted us to experience the magic too! We were served by Mike, who they had had the last time they came in! He was amazing! Super friendly and very informative! The wines were very good as well. We all did the mixed wine tasting and learned more about where each wine came from and their unique flavors. I would recommend stopping in for a taste!

Kostas is knowledgeable of Bryan Kane's wines and friendly!
    Cece K.

Yes, I found another gem in SF! Kostas, the tasting room manager was engaging and explained the winemaker, Bryan Kane's award winning wines with details and enthusiasm. The tasting red wines were library wines from 2013-2016. My favorite, of course was 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon! The sweet wines were fun and creatively crafted to please all wine lovers. Michael's favorite, Sweeeet, port wine. Not too sweet as the name suggests. Very tasty port. Absolutely recommend!

Some of our favorite moments were actually the unexpected spots we never would've found on our own, like the beautiful, yet uncrowded overlook on Telegraph Hill. Everything felt really natural--nothing scripted or forced. Just a great mix of interesting stories, local insight, and a lot of laughs along the way. Chad made the tour phenomenal. It was pretty quiet, and there were still plenty of high-top tables and lounge areas available when we arrived. The staff were friendly and explained how everything worked - they link your credit card to an Embarc card (with a QR code), which you then scan to select and pour your wines. I appreciated that there wasn't really a pricing incentive for larger servings - so, in a way, that made it easier to try smaller 1 oz tastings of multiple wines without feeling pressured to commit to half or full glasses, which is ideal if you enjoy exploring different options like I do. We were a bit pressed for time since they closed at 8pm that day, so I'm def looking forward to coming back to try more drinks (they rotate their offerings) and spend some more time enjoying the ambiance.

I also asked for some recommendations and he pulled a few bottles, all under $40. A super fun shop in Pac Heights. Two things that I wish were different, but perhaps just isn't written in the cards: (1) A lot of the wines are very high up on the shelves, which makes casual perusing very difficult. Asking the staff to climb up and grab random bottles just feels like a big ask. I personally like looking at the importer, ABV, and other details on the label to help me shop and this is only possible for about 50% of the wines that are accessible without a ladder; (2) Unfortunately, they no longer allow guests to purchase a bottle to drink in the shop, which is unfortunate because I love browsing the shelves at Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant and finding a bottle to open up in the shop to drink. If you're looking for a great bottle shop to pick up something to drink at home or to give as a gift, this is a great spot. Where else are you going to find old bottles of vintage Cinzano?!
