Great spot to come with a friend or for a date night before the party starts. The music is low, so it's easy to talk. They have louder music later in the evenings. Great ambiance and simple decor. Fast bar service. It is a cocktail bar, so they have a great cocktail selection, but not good wine or beer options.

Came down here after dinner. Pretty decent size bar. Cool place Bartender was efficient and friendly. The menu was quite interesting. It was a cute little book. The live jazz music was nice, but I think it was a bit too loud for me. It was hard to carry a conversation in there.

we came here as a reservation for 1/3 of the place, service was great for the 70 people in our party. servers were attentive and made sure we had our drinks, popcorn, and water the whole night. menu is great, loved the pictures and wanted to share. would love to come back and see it in its glory

There were many unique options and a happy hour deal. The drinks were tasty and the staff were very friendly. I would come back again.

Came by for a quick round while I was in the area and had an hour to spare. Tuesday at 6pm. Only a table of two inside at this time. Grabbed a seat at the bar and was taken care of by Dragos. Dragos is super friendly and attentive. Was also great to just casually chat with while the bar was quiet. - The Devil In Miss Jones - used to be a cocktail and is now a mocktail. I asked if they could make it as a cocktail. Mezcal, beets, cucumber, turmeric, ginger, lime, celery bitters. It sounds like a healthy salad but this drink is so so good. Just give it a try and trust me Persona is one of my go to spots. I love the vibe. Its dark, moody, and spacious. Perfect for something lowkey, but enough space to bring a whole group.

Beautiful drinks with the nicest bartenders + Marcus The drinks are super creative & I loved the inclusion of bitters + the passion fruit flavor/prominence in the Pleasure Palace.

Came here during happy hour and it was such a good find, $3 off drinks!!. The vibe is really chill with plenty of seating, so it didn't feel cramped even as it got busier. The staff were all super friendly, and shoutout to our bartender Marcus who was especially great -- really welcoming and made solid recommendations. We tried the Sweet Paradise and Pleasure Places, and both were so good. Also really appreciated that they have non-alcoholic options. Overall, great drinks, great service, and a comfortable space to hang. Would definitely come back!

Have only heard good things about Persona so finally stopped in on a Friday night for a quick drink! Aliah was the best bartender - gave us a couple of recs based on what we liked and read us perfectly! Had the intersection, body double and the tropical tease!! All amazing :)

We were so well taken care of! Service is top notch. After the recommendation of many, I planned a bday party for a group here for a night of sf downtown bar hopping. This was excellent. Classy space, dim lit, moody lighting, one side is quieter and more private and the opposite side where the pool table is was lively and public. It's got whatever you're in the mood for! Or both! We started at private table then migrated over to the pool table and our bday couple challenged another bday couple (new friends that night) to a game. All in good fun REALLY appreciate servers checking in and taking drink orders often, and also in the end telling me that a large group gratuity was already added to my bill. The bar we went to right before this didn't disclose that so I felt a bit salty I had double tipped Reservations can be made online (with a $ deposit) but not needed on weekend before 7pm since it wasn't crowded Popcorn! Comes in super cute retro boxes!

Definitely a bar to visit if you are in the Union square area. There is live music throughout the week and plenty of seating. The drink menu is fun and i love the matcha cocktail. The staff, Juan, greeted us right away and even gave us popcorn and recommended drinks to us. We got the matcha (perfectly balanced), pleasure palace (so refreshing), and the cafe noir (the coconut was amazing). All around great ambience with mood lighting.

Off the bat, there were drunk girls lingering outside that the bouncer allowed to "check" our IDs. I didn't appreciate that the bouncer was so lenient with them this past Sunday I came in. The crowd is interesting lol, but the vibes itself are so relaxing and different. There are LED lights inside, but overall it's very dim lit and gives sexyyy. Their drinks seem to be based off everything erotic, which I didn't realize until I got there. The drinks are delicious though, so I can't even complain. I will be back very shortly!!

Juan was amazing and made delicious margs with the tajin rim. It was my first time here at Persona. The service was amazing and good energy in the bar! I love that there's more than enough seating! Me and my homegirl were able to sing a seat and enjoy our drinks!

I've heard this place has great music and ambiance; is there any dancing?

Generally not a dancefloor kind of place, but I have sometimes seen small groups dancing in the open areas.

Do you need to have a reservation? I have an informal group of folks who want to meet up for cocktails (around 25-30) but don't want to "rent" a space.

Can we bring cake or desserts inside if we're celebrating a birthday?

We preffer cupcakes as we don’t allow kniefes on premises and desserts are ok.

Given the complexity, the…read moredrinks do take awhile so just hang out and enjoy! * Lychee Corn 75 = sweet lychee, but not overly; can't really taste any alcohol * Korean Cold Noodles = so complex! It's hard to describe but it's definitely worth a try. It also comes with some Dijon mustard to try with it. * Dumpling Martini = VERY strong and unique. It comes with a real dumpling! * Mango Sago = I really liked this one - tastes exactly like mango with coconut and has a few mochi for fun. * Ube Cheesecake = yummy dessert cocktail that is fairly thick so commit (it's worth it) The food is really unique as well - I highly suggest the deviled egg sampler. The atmosphere is very lounge like with chill vibes. Service is great.

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
