My friend and I popped in here before heading to dinner. I got the Beauty Mark, because I'm a sucker for anything with egg whites, and it was delicious! My friend couldn't decide, so she started with the Green Emanuelle (it tasted like a Green juice!) and then had the Blossom Dearie. The Blossom Dearie was described as a martini, but it was so much more and so much better! Really good drinks, and would recommend for sure!

Super cute spot for drinks! We initially sat outside and loved the cozy patio vibes, but moved indoors once it got chillier and it was just as beautiful inside. Our server was incredibly attentive even though it was busy, and she did a great job explaining the menu and helping us choose drinks we'd enjoy. I had the Thunderbird (tequila, passionfruit, lime) and Pink Flamingo (mezcal, watermelon, lemongrass), while my friend ordered the Beauty Mark and Espresso Martini. Both of my drinks were delicious and perfect if you like tequila or mezcal-based cocktails with a fruity twist. The Pink Flamingo was on the stronger side, but still balanced and flavorful. I think I slightly preferred the Thunderbird for the overall flavors! My friend loved both of her drinks as well. Drinks were a great portion size, well-crafted, and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back for another round!
Cool bar with bites in the Mission District. We got there shortly after it opened at 4pm on Friday afternoon. I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Came here a Friday night around 11PM and we were able to grab a table. Decently packed for a Friday and the vibes were great. Fair warning, it does get a bit loud and if you're sitting across, you'll struggle to hear each other. Got the Thunderbird with tequila for $18 and was one the best drinks I've had taste wise. Do recommend!

Beehive is always a good time. I am loyal to miami nice, the slushy cocktail. It has the perfect smooth and creamy consistency, and it certainly packs a punch. One of us girls could not finish her drink :,) we came around 7pm and was able to get a table pretty quickly. We also got fries to share between the 4 of us and there was a pretty large basket.
Cute spot in the Mission. but pricey. Also note that the internet there is very spotty (so why prey tell do they have those QR code menus, when your phone can get to the internet to ready it?)

Tried their Dust up which was solid and the Johnny Walker which was fire! Def would come back just for that drink alone! Also would come back to try their bites.. bc they looked super interesting.
This is my favorite cocktail bar in the neighborhood! The Beauty Mark is my favorite drink here, and I love how well balanced it is. The lime adds just the right amount of tartness, and the egg whites provide such a great creamy texture to the drink. As for the food here, I've only tried the beef tallow fries, and they were so tasty. I'm not usually even a big fan of fries, but the fries here are so flavorful that I can't stop eating them. The only downside about this spot is that everyone else seems to know how amazing it is too because it's always crowded! Be prepared to wait, especially if you're visiting on the weekend.

We sat at the bar and the Mixologist was friendly and approachable even though he was slammed busy. The atmosphere is pretty unassuming with the seating a bit awkward hiding the amazing upscale cocktails.

This is by far my favorite bar in SF. I used to drive up here weekly with my coworkers for Friday nights almost 4 years ago. This place has not changed much (in a good way.) The atmosphere is so lovely, there's good music that gradually turned into old school hiphop as the night grew longer. The servers were so kind and came by all the time to refill water and make sure everyone was happy. Little shoutout to the server that took care of us all night Kimberly! She was so amazing and had the best service. (: It may be a bar but the food is so good, we got a little of everything to share. As a regular of lounge-style bars, this place has good lighting if you like taking pictures of your drinks, a good surprise! I really appreciate all the staff for being so kind and attentive on a busy Saturday night. We had a party of 12 that took up a little two-couch area with no issues at all! If I can make a recommendation for anyone that reads this, get the Thunderbird! read more

Stopped into this darling bar after a recommendation, and it was lovely and poppin'. The strings of Christmas lights made the space extra festive! The space includes about a dozen barstools, and an extra room in the back for dining. We snagged a couple of seats at the bar top, and used the QR to peruse the menu. Need a pick me up, but also in the mood for a cocktail? Enter the perfectly shaken espresso martini that will check those boxes. The dry shake really does it, and the bartender was definitely on their A game. It was sadly missing the espresso bean garnish for Health, Wealth, and Happiness... but the foam was gorgeous. The drink was made with care, love, thoughtfulness - excellent balance that was smooth, and creamy. Highly recommend this establishment for meeting dates, friends, co-workers, family, or taking yourself out! read more
Absolutely delicious cocktails. We walked in on a Saturday around 4pm and there was plenty of room at their bar and tables. Service was fast, the bartenders efficient. My partner chatted to one of them and he had run the bar at Local Edition - one of our favorite bars in SF - for 6 years! Total was $72 (including tax/tip) for 3 cocktails. On the pricey side but worth it for the occasional splurge. * The Beehive ($18) - 4 stars. The botanical gin really shines through, but it was also citrusy with a little bit of honey * Beauty Mark ($18) - 5 stars. This had amazing egg white foam (a thick layer that lasted through the entire drink), was tart, refreshing, perfect for me. * Thunderbird ($18) - 5 stars. While the mezcal was strong, this was fantastic. Perfectly balanced with a kick of flavor. The Bee's Knees looked good. read more
"Outside of a beehive, Margo, your behavior wouldn't be considered queenly or motherly." I thought of that line from "All About Eve" when I walked into this stylish little retro-tinged bar because Margo's response was on point, "We're all in a beehive, pal, didn't you know? We're all busy little bees full of stings, making honey, day and night...ain't we, honey?" Snap! My stinger must've been out of whack because I just didn't feel all that comfortable since I gravitate more toward dives, tiki lounges, and oh yes, gay bars. Hey, who else would quote from a Bette Davis movie? What actually drew me in the first time was the sandwich board advertising their slushies. $17 was a lot for a slushy, so I asked the server what flavor it was. She didn't have a clue and couldn't be bothered to ask. I risked it anyway, and it was good. My guess was that it was a strawberry vodka creation (photo: https://yelp.to/f-pVJq_jF1). I didn't come back for quite a while since the vibe was young hipster with Apple Pay. That didn't prevent me from seeking out their Espresso Martini recently. Came to The Beehive around 12 AM on a Friday night, and we were lucky enough to get a table for our large group! Drinks: - Green Emanuelle: 5/5 Really liked this drink!! Super refreshing and didn't taste like too much alcohol without being super watered down. Good if you like cucumber, otherwise skip this drink. Had a spoon straw in it which was very cool - The Beehive: 4/5 Yummy and also not watered down :D A little too much honey taste for me, and I prefer vodka but a good signature drink overall! They also serve food here, but I didn't get the chance to try anything. Will definitely order some snacks next time. :-) Service: Bartenders were very nice and patient. Ordered probably 12 drinks and they came out very quickly! Ambiance: LOVEEE THE VIBE HEREE :D Very chill in comparison to other places. Nice place to sit down and talk and didn't have to scream at my friends hahha They were also playing Fred Again.. :-) Probably not the best if you want to dance, but a good place to chill. I always want to try something else on Valencia and I always come back to The Beehive. The ambiance is always A+. The cute decor is so fun to look at, the bartenders are always the absolute sweetest (so make sure you always sit at the bar!), and the cocktails are just so fun and swanky. They put so much care into creating your cocktails, so make sure you really take the time to enjoy them! Every time I come here, I try a different snack. I also look around to see what other people are ordering, and everyone gets different things, so I'd like to believe we're all in agreement - all of their snacks are divine! Today, my partner and I noshed on the cheese board. Perfect summertime snack because the fruit was honestly the best part! The crostini and olives balanced out the sweets pretty well because I like a salty snack (so be careful if you're sensitive to salty). Really classy bar in Mission. Love the beehive theme and unique drinks. My drink was called the beauty mark, which did actually have a little beauty mark on the egg white foam! I thought that was so adorable. My friend ordered the thunderbird, which I actually liked a bit better than the beauty mark (hers was a bit sweeter, fruitier, and grapefruit flavored). Both drinks were really good though. I also love that their kitchen is open late. It's perfect if you love snacking on foods while drinking. We went around 12:30 and we were still able to place food orders! The pigs in a blanket were so yummy and warm, and come with a nice dijon mustard sauce. Their fries looked good too. Ambiance inside was nice and spacious, and service was attentive (we got water glasses right away after getting seated). The environment was lively but not too loud -- we were still able to talk normally over the music and not feel like we were screaming. Perfect saturday night vibe! read more

To be honest, I found this place when searching for pigs in a blanket. This place popped up and would have never guessed that a great cocktail bar would have these as snacks on the menu. They were delicious and disappeared so fast that I forgot take a photo of them. This is a beautiful space on Valencia for cocktails and snacks. Have been here twice now and both times were met with great service, whether it was an early evening or late night when it was packed! When i first went during the day i noticed how large the space is in the back but actually is but had no idea how packed it gets at night. I tried the Hound Dog cocktail which was very spirit forward yet balanced and with a hint of sweetness. The caramelized banana was also a satisfying end to the drink. I also tried the mushroom bahn mi which was stacked with mushrooms and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend for cocktails, snacks or even late night bites and drinks. read more

Friends and I were in the mission Sunday night and decided to hit up a chill bar. The Beehive seemed like a cute spot. Upon entering, we were greeted and asked if we wanted a table. They said it would take about 10 minutes for a table to be ready and welcomed us to sit at the seats facing the wall while we wait. Ordered a Miami Nice slushy and it was very strong. It seemed like they forgot we wanted a table because we were never moved and just had to sit where we were waiting. Servers were incredibly nice and attentive though and came by multiple times to check on us and inform us of last calls. read more

Have been coking here the last few years and have never had a bad experience. The food, drinks, and service is excellent. A few times I've come they were able to seat us right away despite it being a busy Friday and Saturday night. The ambiance is a bit loud after 7:30-8 PM, however it's a cocktail bar so that's sorta expected. Overall I would come back and I live this place! read more

Amazing drinks and great service. The ambiance is discreet yet welcoming but it can get noisy and packed at times. Warning...they have TVs so game day can take place here increasing noise levels and altering the usual upscale feel of the place. Seeming to seamlessly transition from day to night, the place can go from bright lights and noisy cheers to a candle lit escape within minutes. The music tends to be loud and feel out of place as they play dated pop and syndicated dance music. It's really a toss up based on the night you're there. No matter the night you can bet on consistently quality cocktails. read more
This made the list of a personalized foot tour we created because of the cocktails advertised and it was better than advertised. We were served by Andres, who is one of mixologists under this umbrella or restaurant/bars, and he was an absolute wizard behind the bar. Our group was seated and treated extremely well considering our party of 8. They catered to our group and the vibe we were carrying and adapted to us very well. The ambiance is definitely more of a lounge with some cool house music to taste like Kaytranada to help liven it up from time to time. The back area has a great seating under low light that creates a cozy atmosphere you want to spend a couple hours chatting with some friends. We tried a variety of cocktails here, all were spectacular but there were definitely a few that stood out. Espresso Martini: (5/5) Should be their flagship beverage. This well balanced coffee cocktail is not overpowering on the caffeine or nuttiness. The initial taste is smooth and lightly foamy with an easy finish. You'll enjoy getting to the bottom of this before trying your next beverage. Very refreshing and extremely pretty to look at. Highly recommend Thunderbird: (4/5) A grapefruit based concoction that is more on the refreshing end. Greater starter to wet the lips with if you're staying for a while. They did a good job of toning down the grapefruit so it's not bitter. I would try it again but probably once or twice more. Hot buttered Cider: (5/5) This hot beverage for the winter months in SF is a must have. Consistently flavorful to the last drop. It's full bodied and very tasty. It was a group favorite. New favorite place for sureeeee! We arrived, and the place was super full about people, a lively ambiance, great music, and everyone having a blast. The servers were super attentive and helpful. It was so crowded that we considered leaving, but they treated us so well and quickly that we decided to stay. We requested a table, and as soon as one was available, they gave it to us. All the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The drink I ordered: "The Beehive", is simply delicious. It's made with Gin, and I love Gin. We also tried the mini burgers, and it's a delightful. Nicer sit down bar that's vibey and fun, but not too loud. It's pretty popular even on weekdays, but we were able to get a seat after waiting at the bar for a few minutes on a Wednesday night. On weekends the wait will definitely be a while! They have plenty of food options also. Our entire group tried the seasonal hot apple cider which was sweet and flavorful! Service was super fast and friendly. There's a pleasant atmosphere but not too loud where you have to yell to hear your friends. read more
