Two security guards were on a complete power trip yesterday--- which left the end of the night on a sour note. The club was set to close at 2am -- so they start getting everyone together and closing out tabs a 10 minutes or so before it actually closed. I finish my drink and gather my belongings to go to the restroom beforehand. It was occupied at the time ... so I decided not to worry anymore and walk back to my friends. As I'm doing so, I hear the guard rudely speaking to them and telling them to leave. I advised the man that the club was still open at the moment (they had about 5 mins left) and that we actually were heading out then. I also told him that he didn't have to speak to my friends like that - after he had just been joking around with them moments before. Instead of taking accountability, he immediately got an attitude with me and stated that he didn't care about that and it was time to go. Another female guard then popped up randomly and essentially told me to "fix my delivery" and that the man was her brother. To which I replied, that they were both ultimately in the wrong. I understand wanting to leave work but being rude and distasteful towards paying customers isn't the way to do jt. I hope they hire better employees it was a nice place! read more

I was here last night with a friend. We got there just before 11:00pm, and were happy to get a spot on one of the couches in the front. Music was okay; mostly mumble rap. There were only two service staff; we could tell they were working hard but they definitely needed more help. We made two trips to the bar and it took about 15-20 minutes to get service. Drinks were decent. A larger group arrived to the left of us, and about 20 minutes after they arrived, the male service worker told us we had to move cause our spot was reserved. Mind you, we'd been there for almost two hours at this point and nobody had mentioned anything about our spot being reserved, and there was no sign holder indicating it either. It was also advertised as a "no cover" event, so curious to know how reservations were even made. He told us we could move over to the wall; which we discovered was right next to the restrooms and the line of users. Not cool. We then noticed that the larger group had spread out and taken our spot; were we supposed to believe these were the supposed "reservation" holders and not just your friends? Overall, just another mediocre bar that caters to the people they know. Not much concern for new customers, so we have no interest in returning or recommending to anyone. It definitely got more crowded as time went on and it was a fun vibe. There are a couple other rooms but they were closed that night. Stopped by on our way walking to Castro street for the pride street markets. The interior decor was so cute and definitely gave an aesthetic lounge vibe. I want to say it probably wasn't as busy as it normally would be on a weekend, but it was great to hangout and have a drink at the bar. The bartender was really nice and gave a great explanation of their drinks. The dj also had some pretty good music playing. Purple rain: really cool drink! It's a lychee liquor and lavender syrup drink with some mescal and gin. Definitely gave a lychee flavor and could really taste the mescal.. but the lavender syrup comes on the side to adjust your drink however you like! I poured the whole shot in and it was the perfect amount of sweetness to liquor. My favorite for sure. Thai pop: at first it didn't taste like anything but as you keep drinking it it gets better lol. Came by on Sunday for Cinco De Mayo around 5-6pm for an hour-ish and vibes were overall chill but the DRINKS were the highlight!!! First round of drinks, I wanted to try some of the fun ones on the menu. I got the Purple Rain which had such cute presentation, you poured the "Purple" syrup on top of the drink for that rain effect. It was not to sweet, but not too strong. Then, we saw some people next to us enjoying margaritas that had those mini Don Julio 1942 shots in them...I curiously asked them what they got. Me expecting these drinks to be like $40 each, I was shocked to hear them say "These were $20 each!" WOW. So worth it. We weren't able to stay for the live band, but I must say these were some of the best drinks I've had and that margarita made the whole day worth it. Came by on a Thursday evening with a group of five close to closing. The owner, Rob, was in the process of cleaning the bar up, as I'm sure last call had probably been given, but was very welcoming and kind enough to still let us order a round of cocktails. Despite being the only one working and a number of the ingredients packed away, Rob expeditiously, prepared each of the cocktails we ordered with a high level of attention and care. Reggae - Jamaican rum, Zaya rum, coconut, orgeat, lime, pineapple, Jamaican bitters - strong and delicious tiki cocktail. I'm in my rum era and this drink was definitely for me. Not overly strong in flavor and not overly sweet either. Great presentation. Been to Dahlia a number of times and it's definitely a go to bar for me. I initially followed the bar on social media because I had always heard great things about this place. I finally ventured in with some friends after a day of brunch and bar hopping. Keymani is an excellent bartender. The DJ was spinning records. The combination of Keymani and the DJ made the night awesome! Their cocktails were good too. Later on in the night, the lounge seems to turn more into a club vibe and you can buy bottles/tables. TLDR: Great drinks, fabulous decor, and super easy to work with for planning a party! I was looking for a spot to host a friend's "death-to-their-twenties" 30th birthday party and found Dahlia through a venue rental site. I called and was put in touch with the owner, Rob, who was super friendly and responsive, and gave us a few options that could work for our group of ~15 people. We ended up reserving the small back room for a Sunday and it was the perfect fit and price for our budget. The decor was right on point for our theme and I brought some of our own party decorations to personalize the space. Rob set up a table for us to stage our food and cake (since they don't serve food, we were able to bring in what we liked!) and we ordered drinks from Chloe at the front bar. Cocktails were tasty and the $5 beer special was a nice bonus. The layout worked well for our plans - we played a murder mystery game and it felt like we had our own space to do our thing, but also weren't totally isolated from the rest of the venue, which wasn't too crowded. It filled up a bit more towards the later part of the evening when they have a live reggae band and a DJ. Overall, a great experience start to finish! I coordinate all sorts of events and conventions, so I really appreciate when it's easy to work with someone on planning. Rob and his staff were relaxed, flexible, and friendly. I had no complaints about the drink at all. Their interior was sooo cute, see photo attached. I loved the skull and red rose theme! It was very chill vibes when we went at around 7:30.
