We stopped by for drinks and really enjoyed the fun tiki bar vibes here! I tried the Permanent Midnight, a rum-based coffee cocktail with coconut, pandan and banana which turned out to be too sweet for me. It reminded me of an espresso martini and unfortunately was a bit one note as I didn't get any pandan or banana. I also got the Zombie Killer, another rum-based drink with coconut, pineapple and cinnamon which I enjoyed more. This one was more creamy and better balanced. Overall the drinks are pretty straightforward the ambiance is fun. There are a good number of large tables (first-come, first-serve) and the lights which go off every so often was a cool touch!

We had an awesome time with our friend group here. Great drinks, AWESOME decor. Best part was the door man though, Jason out here keeping all of us safe while we step outside. It was also very dark and my friends had to use a flashlight for the menu, which made me laugh so thank you.

Very cute bar. I would come back for a date night or to hang with friends. I especially like how there are different partitioned sections to sit in around the place for an intimate environment. The drinks were unique and nice to enjoy after a long week. The bartender also did a great job managing everyone sitting at the bar and throughout the venue.

Last Rites was a pretty dang fun time. The ambiance is pretty sweet, love the feeling of being inside a plane. It was also hella cool how the entire place lights up if you order the right drink, really fun. My only small gripe is comparing it to something like Smuggler's Cove, the prices are the same, but the drinks here are very much smaller and less complex. Our waitress, totally great, she was friendly, funny, and super attentive even though it was busy. We ended up smashing through 5 drinks shared between the 2 of us, and they were all very tasty, except the Emerald Eclipse... to be fair to the waitress that suggested it, and Last Rites itself, I DESPISE mezcal, and just didn't realize that's what was in it. We tried to order the Permanent Eclipse but it was not available at the time, so she recommended the Eclipse. Mezcal should be erased from the surface of the earth, and should not be mentioned in any history books. Make it go away. Walked away with some super cool Mai Tai glasses, and we were more than a little tipsy when we started our trek back to BART. I could see myself coming back here with some friends, but hopefully they get some more rum based concoctions on the menu!

I LOVE Last Rites. This is such a great tiki-bar with over-the-top decorations , special effects, and strong cocktails. For the cocktails: If you're looking for a no-ABV mocktail, I would highly recommend the Golden Idol [5/5]. This is so good that every time I come, I order it! We also tried the No Doctor on Board [4/5] meant for two. It has a very strong alcoholic taste. My only complaint about Last Rites is that the service is SOOO slow for a bar. Every time I've gone around 10PM, I wait around 20 minutes only to get inside and see there is no seating.

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and had a blast! Very cool ambience with the tiki vibes and giant skull wall haha. Kendl and Stephanie helped us and thats honestly what made our whole experience! They explained certain drinks and gave great recommendations based on our personal preferences for cocktails. We got a couple different drinks and they were all very tasty!! Overall great place, but again...it was all because of Kendl and Stephanie. Thank you both!!

We stopped by for a night cap on a Thursday night, and we were pleasantly surprised by bingo! Last Rites is a solid bar right off of Church and Market. They have lots of space, great seating, and fantastic cocktails. The bathroom was clean, nice. We got menus and bingo cards, ready to play. I got the Long Goodbye: Gin, strawberry, toasted coconut, cream, lemon, spices, seltzer. Absolutely fantastic, no notes. So creamy, easy to drink, had a touch of cardamom? Big fan. I liked how we could yap in our group while playing bingo. There were many rounds. While we didn't win, it was a hoot and a half! I will def be back with friends, I had such a great experience!

The best way I can describe this Tiki bar is that it's like Rainforest Cafe for adults. Dark, fun, and mysterious vibes inside with plenty of nooks for friends or couples to hang out. My partner and I got the Last Rites and Grifter's Game drinks and they were strong, sweet, and beautifully presented. The servers were friendly and I loved poring through the wide selection of drinks on the menu. The only slight con (if you think it is one) was that we sat by the skull and it would randomly spew smoke onto us every now and then lol.

We hit up Last Rites just as they were opening on Halloween and the vibe was festive with scary movies and spidery decor. The setting is crashed airplane and the drinks are Tiki style. Sadly they had a limited menu for Halloween which did not include the drink I had planned on trying. Our waitress neither friendly nor helpful and the drinks were very light. When I questioned whether my drink was supposed to be all ice with a few sips of actual cocktail, I was told that the drinks were carefully measured. Overall, fun decor and vibe but the experience is ruined by the staff and service.

Last Rites was our last stop of the night and it was so much fun! We got right in late on a Saturday night. The vibe is super cool--jungle crash site meets tiki bar, with thunderstorm effects that really set the mood. We had an amazing waitress, she was super funny, attentive and she got our drinks to us very quickly, especially for how busy it was with several large parties. As for the drinks: they were beautiful and on-theme, though I felt they lacked some of the complex flavors you'd expect from a great tiki cocktail. I would say my favorite one of the night was the Zombie killer followed by the Kali Maa's Doom. Least favorite was the Emerald Eclipse, it was honestly difficult to finish. We didn't realize that it had Mezcal in it since it was suggested to us to try since they were out of what we wanted, but honestly for me Mezcal has no business in Tiki drinks so we didnt even think to check! One of the coolest parts of the night was the Caldera's Curse. Every time someone ordered it, the entire bar's atmosphere shifted--lights, sound effects, and the drink itself came out with a fiery show. Super fun and theatrical. This was an awesome way to wrap up our night--and we even took home a couple of souvenir Mai Tai glasses! I'd definitely come back, especially with a larger group, and try the Caldera's Curse!

Immerse yourself in a new environment giving jungle / survivor vibes. The staff were all super outgoing and seemed have fun while working. The bartender offer great recommendations + service was prompt. There are more seats in the back. I liked my Lion Paws drink (vodka, guava lemon, based). My friend's Monkey Puzzle (pisco) was good but slightly subtle and watered down. I'd still drink it though lol. Past on the Zombie Killer, which was too strong for my friend. I tried a sip and it felt like a punch in the face. Overall, I'd come back to try more of their cocktails.

Sorry no food here, eat before. All the drinks we had were great. The bartenders were friendly and knew their stuff. The decor was like a crashed plane and tropical mixture. Great way to reuse/recycle items

What a cool cocktail bar! The occasional lightning flashes and thunder, Christmas bulbs strung through the jungle foliage, and crashed airplane decor created a fun atmosphere. My party of six walked in without a wait at 11:30 pm on a Friday night, and we managed to snag a booth as another group was leaving. Otherwise, there were a couple spaces open for smaller parties and standing room. Table service worked out well since it wasn't too crowded. I like that the online version of the menu had pictures for all the pretty drinks. The drinks took a little while to come out, but mine was memorable and definitely worth the wait. My Violet Vixen was fantastic and tasted more floral from the lavender than fruity from the lychee. As a frozen/ice blended drink, the ice consistency was perfect and not too chunky or icy. The Lion's Paw with honeycomb garnish and Kali Maa's Doom were also tasty although the torched marshmallow and watermelon was an interesting garnish combination for the latter. The Permanent Midnight was too strong for me. Overall, I really enjoyed the drinks and vibes here, and I'd love to come back to try the Caldera's Curse punch bowl and its accompanying fire show and check out their happy hour ($10 cocktails) and bingo nights on Thursday's!

A5 Wagyu & Black Truffle Old Fashioned ($25) This was also fantastic, rich and buttery old fashioned with truffle accents. The A5 Wagyu is sourced from the Niku Steakhouse local butcher shop! Ube Cheesecake ($19) Wonderful dessert cocktail to finish the night. We didn't have time to try the Escape Room connected to the Speakeasy, but we'll be back! There are two rooms, one in the front with a puzzle theme, and another in the back with a Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings) vibe. Staff was friendly and took time to explain the clever menu to us!

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good!
