This place definitely is more tapas/bar-style food (which makes sense since we were at a bar). Here is what we got: *Potato chips with aji nori powder paired with miso onion dip: The chips themselves were nice and crispy with a light coating of seaweed. The seaweed wasn't too pronounced but was more there for a salted complexity. The dip I would describe as a hummus with a slight miso aftertaste.* Fried summer blossom: Very pretty with the flowers and the basil oil. Note: it comes with one per order. I do like how they stuffed it with tofu, making it a bit on the "meaty" side, and the coating of the summer blossom was light and not too oily. It is pretty pricey for what you get, but summer blossom itself is expensive. It was also on the salty side. *Chicken wings (makrut lime, honey, fish sauce, chili, cilantro): This tasted good but a bit salty as well for me. I think this is a type of dish that would pair well with a neutralizer like rice or potatoes. *Fried mochi cakes: I didn't know exactly what to expect. I thought it would be mochi on sticks like dango, but it came as a mochi bite wrapped in nori and layers of squash and mushrooms. The flavor itself was good paired with the spring garlic aioli, but even though the preparation was aesthetically pleasing, it made for a difficult bite. *Almond donuts with black sesame anglaise and jam: This was very nice. They are basically soft donut balls that are slightly coated with sugar and paired with a mild black sesame custard (not too sweet) and a very thick jam. When mixed together, it was a fun bite. In terms of service, the food came fast which was appreciated. They do bus your table for you, but after you order the food, as a note, you need to get your own glass water container, cups, plates, and utensils on the left side of where the kitchen doors are.
