Had a great first dinner back in SF after a long trip out of the country! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty nice inside with mood lighting and trendy vibes (but not overly crowded) -- kind of reminds me of some Fidi spots that are slightly nicer but not fine dining like Modi but located in Cow Hollow which is a bit more fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed the mushroom polenta (very creamy and savory)? and the pork dish was standout. The meatballs were also pretty good. Service was on the slower side but the servers were very friendly and it was a good amount of food for two people. Like the mix of Italian/Mediterranean(ish) flavors and would be interested in trying more dishes!

well! this was an experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was dark, romantic. booths lined the walls with tables and seats to accompany them. they were very close together. very. so close i could hear the conversations of both neighbors even with all the noise around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the food was tasty! no complaints there. pricier side but i felt the portions and quality were fair. i overheard the menu does change often, due to the local selection, so these options may not be there when you go! the wait staff did make the experience feel rushed and alarming. at one point i was actively eating off a dish that was grabbed and pulled away. sorry but hello? can't take a second to look and see i'm eating? can't take a moment to ask? there is a staff fee that is tagged onto the bill, so i'm not sure if they're told to be Extremely attentive, but it was way too much. the waiter seemed to be busy with many tables so there wasn't much from them, but was friendly when we did interact. [[HIGHLIGHT]]overall, good food but the chaotic service and close proximity to others does bring it down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] leaning more of a 3.5/5 rating, but sticking with a 3 since i wouldn't make it a Must Eat during a future visit to SF

ordered 3 appetizers and 3 larger plates. overall the food is good. the service is great and our server Rafa was helpful and funny. decent street parking and the area is quite residential. i think the star of the dinner was actually the mozzarella /focaccia appetizer. i wish it came with 1-2 more bread sticks to even out the huge dollop of sauce and cheese. the chicken spiedini was a tad overcooked in my opinion but still tasted fine. not pictured. we ordered the pork shoulder. the moroccan braised chicken (broth like). and the skirt steak. with the exception of the skirt steak, the meat dishes were all a little too soft. no crunches to even out the textures range. i enjoy softer foods but it all started to taste a little similar- which is funny considering we're ordering three different types of proteins, i think. lastly- since it was someone in my party's birthday, and we noted that on the reservation, it would have been nice to receive a little complimentary something. but i'm not going to really look into that one too much because every restaurant is different. i think the main appeal of this restaurant is that it's a good place to have a few drinks (from beer and wine list) and share a few appetizers. i would come here again to do so- but for a birthday, or a more celebratory event, i would opt to try a different restaurant.

Service was fabulous- waitress was super sweet- not pushy at all. Delicious appetizers and super hearty main courses.

Came here on a Wednesday night for a party of 5 and a doggy. We were able to wait inside with some wine and the Marina Mojito while we waited the last of our party to arrive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated outside and it was intimate since it was just our table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the following to share with the table: * Grilled Painted Hills Ranch Skirt Steak with Potato-Leek Gratin, Sautéed Broccoli & Horseradish Chimichurri for $37. This was SUPER delicious! * Marina Mojito with Muffled lemon, fresh mint, passion fruit, ice and soda * Saffron Arancini with Spicy Tomato Sauce (not spicy but tasty), Fontina, Mozzarella & Pecorino for $14 * Sautéed Sugar Snap Peas with Lemon Zest, Butter, Shallots, Urfa, Mint & Pecorino for $18 * Fettuccine with Beef Bolognese, Tomato, Cream & Parmesan but they accommodated our table and made it vegetarian $29/19. Technically this would be a 4.5 but only because two of our friends had plans elsewhere and I was hoping to get dessert but our waitress never came back. My friends husband paid for our meal discreetly after we had decided to pass on dessert due to timing.

Came here during SF Restaurant week. The menu was an incredible deal considering the quality of the food, as well as including a wine pairing for each course. The restaurant itself is tucked away on a not so busy street just off of Fillmore and is quite unassuming were you to just walk by it. Our server was really great at answering our questions about the menu and making sure all the courses came out together (we were a group of 6). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was comfortable and cozy and there are options for outdoor seating, weather permitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This definitely seems like a neighborhood spot as I overheard the wait staff welcome regulars and ask them how they were doing and if they were going to get "the usual".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Glad we tried it out during restaurant week and would definitely come back

Chicken with steak in the background at the bar, which was more than comfortable to have a meal at.

Visiting from Los Angeles, this restaurant wasn't far from the hotel and we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, the hostess was immediately attentive and warm and seated us at the bar as we had no reservation for dinner on a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar is spacious and more than comfortable to have a meal at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was just as attentive and was friendly and just had the best vibe! We ordered beets with labne as an appetizer, and it came out quickly and was a delicious start to our meal. We ordered and shared the steak and chicken and both did not disappoint! Both dishes were absolutely delicious! Steak was tender and flavorful, potatoes were amazing and the chicken was just as good, with a creamy sauce over the rice that was almost like a deconstructed rosemary chicken soup. Brilliant! We were only in town for the weekend, but would definitely come back on our next trip. 5 stars for incredible service and amazing meals!

Looking for a nice, predictable, chic restaurant (love the floral arrangements)? This is your place. The service is jovial and candid so I am rounding my 3.5 star rating up to 4. One bummer about this place is that they only serve wine/beer. But the floor plan and ambiance are nice for a date that you're trying to impress or a business dinner with contrasting palette preferences. Apps were good, but not incredible. The hummus and bruschetta were fresh. The meatball was average as the polenta lacked any depth of flavor. For mains, I got the chicken, again it was decent but nothing memorable. The flavors could be a little more dynamic and bold. Overall I recommend but this spot won't blow your socks off.

What a phenomenal SF Restaurant Week! The menu is creative with fresh ingredients (seasonal highlights too). Would certainly recommend on food alone Grilled Persimmon Bruschetta (regular menu) 5/5 - delicious caramelization and the bread was crispy. Ordered the prosciutto on the side Zucchini carpaccio (RW menu app) 5/5 - fresh and nutty and so good with the manchego Fried Brussel sprouts (RW menu app) 4/5 - solid charred flavor but some were a bit soft and over cooked Butternut squash risotto (RW menu entree) 5/5 - creamy and nice texture with soft butternut squash chunks Braised beef brisket (RW menu entree) 4.5/5 - generous portion of beef that was so tender. A little bit salty and the veggies were slightly over cooked but overall still delicious Almond cake with whipped cream (RW menu dessert) 5/5 - soft and flavorful without being too sweet or overpowering. Almond flavor was nice Vanilla bean rice pudding (RW menu dessert) 3.5/5 - not pictured but average flavor and not too much vanilla bean. Had a couple cherries to accompany I came to celebrate a birthday and it was a lovely upscale spot. Staff was very friendly and even towards closing did not rush our meal. What an awesome meal of three courses per person for $50 (and additional three wine pairings for $25)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Enjoyable fare, quick service and enchanting ambience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm not sure my water went lower than about 3/4 full. Nice place to get a few small plates, the dessert was the winner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had the whole back room to ourselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would go again!

The Space was very nice, some brick walls, not crazy major loud, nice looking bar and space - not over crowded seating. Good for a date. Our waiter kept touching my back which is fine i guess but it was a little much for me. We ordered cauliflower soup, it was really good but we had barely taken two spoons of it when our waiter came by and swooped my friends soup to the trash .. we didnt dare say anything. We ordered those arancini things , beet salad, and mushroom polenta. The mushroom polenta was so good..! My friend had ordered 3 scallops but she was given 4 - not sure what we were charged. The desert chocolate lava cake was very good The drinks were ok - should have had wine

My friend and I got the fattoush salad to share along with the Chicken Shish Tawook plate and Musakhan for entrees. The salad was a nice fresh start and the charred dates added a nice sweetness. Loved the juicy chicken kebobs with a side of their delicious hummus. The musakhan had to be my favorite bite though, the chicken is so tender and flavorful and goes really well with the toasted pita. I would come back just for this dish alone! It's a counter-order restaurant which i didn't expect but it makes it a super quick sit-down restaurant to stop at and I loved sitting on their outdoor patio considering it was a nice sunny SF Sunday!

I ordered the chicken and beef kabob plate, and while the meat was flavorful, I wish they included more hummus. At around $25- $30 per plate, I expected a more generous portion. I ordered takeout and arrived about an hour later because the app never updated to show my order was ready. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and they didn't start preparing my food until I got there. I mentioned that I had placed the order an hour earlier and expected it to be ready, but the server seemed to brush off my concern, which was disappointing. One highlight was the hot sauce. I'm not sure if it's house-made or not, but it's so good. The pita, however, was a letdown. I prefer my pita soft, fluffy, and warm, but this one was hard and grainy. Overall, it's a cute restaurant with decent food, but it isn't my top choice.

There was complimentary bread which was insanely good and fluffy and warm plus tahini and an onion tomato sauce I think along with radishes and olives. We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. I booked our table about a month in advance, which turned out to be the right move because the restaurant was bustling during the lunch hour. To start, we ordered four small plates to share among our party of four: meatballs, saganaki, spanakotiropita, and a pair of dips (melitzanosolata and favasalata) with pita. Everything was excellent, and our spread was inclusive of a wide variety of flavors and textures: salty, creamy, acidic, sweet, crunchy. The meatballs and the dips are definitely a must-order and are ideal for sharing. The spanakotiropita were larger and more filling than expected, so if I were to order those again, I'd dial it back and stick with small plates rather than a full-sized entree. The saganaki was a showstopper; it is served sizzling and crackling on a cast iron dish and had a nice salty flavor that allowed the cheese to be served on its own. For my main dish, I ordered the braised goat - which is not something I'd typically order because goat meat is usually tough - but I was intrigued how it was prepared as a stew. The dish almost reminded me of a Moroccan tagine - the goat was braised to peak tenderness and bathed in a slightly fruity and well-spiced sauce; dotted with pieces of melted feta; and served on top of a bed of baked orzo, which was served fresh-from-the oven in a mini cast iron dish. I was so full after our meal that I had to walk it off for a few blocks, but I cannot wait for our next special occasion so we can come back and celebrate with another feast at Kokkari Estiatorio.

I'm generally pretty indifferent about mediterranean food, but this place really impressed me!…read more Every dish I tried had amazing flavors, and everything was prepared perfectly. We started off with the hummus and the moussaka (eggplant and tomato sauce). The hummus was pretty standard, but still great, and the moussaka was SO delicious. This was definitely the standout dish to me, and I'd hiiiighly recommend it. For mains, I was doing Meatless Monday, so I got the super falafel wrap. This wrap was also sooo delicious and massive! The falafel was really flavorful, and all the toppings and tahini sauce were just perfect additions. The restaurant itself is really pleasant and bright, great for pretty much any occasion. Service was also good (you order via QR code, but they bring the food out to you) and prices are reasonable given the quality and portion size. Definitely a new fav spot in SF!

After reading all the glowing Yelp reviews, I walked into Mezze & Mooore on a Monday night…read moreexpecting a five-star experience. The food was delivered. The service apparently called out sick. Let's start with the good news: the food was genuinely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The mint lemonade was bright and refreshing. The chicken skewers were flavorful and perfectly cooked (though surprisingly small). The halumi salad with eggplant was a generous portion. Now for the "Mooore" part. I was hoping the restaurant's name was also a mission statement. However, we could have used more attentive service. More follow-through. More toilet paper... Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were essentially released into the wild. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code, which is perfectly fine in theory. In practice, it felt like sending requests into the void. A drink I ordered never appeared. Nobody checked on the table, so I had to get up and walk to the counter to ask about it. Later, I had to make another trip to remind them we had ordered dessert. Then another trip when we wanted a to-go box. Apparently, the evening's theme was "interactive dining," where the guests perform most of the customer service duties themselves. Tips are forced when you first order online - no refunds on that. The bathroom offered its own adventure. The trash bin was overflowing with dirty paper towels, and there was little to no toilet paper available. As the daughter of a health inspector, knowing that staff use the same facility, I would have given this a poor hygiene grade. What made the experience frustrating was that the food was good enough to make you want to come back. But when your guests spend half the meal looking for someone to help them, it takes away from what could have been a 'more' pleasant evening.

The service was friendly and welcoming even when our party came at different times. The restaurant wasn't busy given it was a Monday evening, so you would think it would go smoothly. *** OUR PICKS *** COMBO APPETIZER PLATTER ~ hummus, baba ghanouj, haydari, ezme, dolmas, merimek, falafel ~ parts of the platter were cold while the falafel was warm, but they topped it off with a sauce that didn't keep the falafel crispy, instead it softened it. I think the sauce should have been on the side. The rest of the dish was good. 4/5 LAMB KEBAB PLATE ~ this was my dish. I touched my skewers thinking they were going to be hot, but it was surprisingly cold. I'm not sure why skewers would be cold when the food should be hot right off the grill. The lamb was cooked medium rare as I requested, though there was little to no seasoning. So it was kind of gamey and tasteless 3/5 RACK OF LAMB PLATE ~ my partner chose this dish. The lamb was also very light in seasoning. The pistachio rice was interesting and nutty. Asparagus was good. 3.5/5 MIXED GRILL PLATE ~ our friend enjoyed this dish. Maybe a mixed grill is the way to go and some meats cooked and seasoned better than others. 4/5 BEEF KEBAB PLATE ~ the beef was also room temperature and lightly seasoned. 3.5/5 SALMON ~ I tried some of this and it was decent. 4/5 BAKLAVA & CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE ~ Nice birthday surprise and a sweet way to end the meal. Baklava wasn't as crispy or flaky as some I've had, but the honey-pistachio nuts were good. Chocolate mousse cake was decadent and moist. 4/5 Beautiful presentation on the plating of our food, though the timing for the food wasn't quite right as a few plates were served room temperature and not hot. However, the surprise desserts were a nice touch in helping us celebrate a birthday!
