Got a catered apps platter to go for a friends birthday. Hummus was sooo good and the owner was nice enough to give us an extra bag. Restaurant was packed, def gotta come back here and try other stuff!

Not sure if it was because it was a big order or it was during their rush hour, but my to go order was incorrect. Ordered their east plate: mixed greens w/ feta, chicken, lamb, and falafel. I got like four or five pieces of greens with no feta. Got the chicken, did not get the lamb or falafel. Got the spinach thing and a dessert and hummas. Got their side of sauces too. Chicken was pretty good, but a bit on the dry side, the hummas and side of sauces helped. The spinach was good, had nice and crispy wrap. Dessert one was good, think it was baklava? Not sure I'd try take out again, maybe dine in.

Food: A+ Service: A++ Vibes: A+ Love this place. Came with a friend to get some light bites and was a bit overwhelemed with the selection. We wanted a little of everything. Our server comes to the rescue, saying we can do a part of their meza platter and add a lamb kabob dish so we can get everything we wanted. Excellent. For two people, the noshes ended up to be a little too much, but mostly because we ate EVERYTHING. Like there's nothing that we avoided. Lamb kabob was delicious. Not gamey, soft. Delicious. Meza is literally small bites of everything you'd want. Staff were amazing, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing.

A favorite! Very consistent and always good value for price. The staff are always very kind. There is indoor and outdoor seating and while it is usually busy I've never had to wait to be seated. The inside is a bit small, feels like a hole in the wall. Particular fan of the lamb shawarma over rice. Their fresh pita bread always hits the spot. My friends also love the pomegranate chicken.

Chicken pomegranate - very nice.

Nice atmosphere and good service. Ambiance is fun. Tried the chicken pomegranate and that was very nice. A generous portion and the rice and salad was good. The hummus is nice as well. The lamb Lule was not as good - texture was a bit unexpected - too smooth and homegenized, flavor was okay. The lemon cake was not very good - too sweet with a raspberry drizzle that was also too sweet and made the cake a bit soggy. Would not recommend.

Incredible food and menu. It was so hard to choose something when given so many amazing options. Everything was beyond delicious. The staff were so nice and accommodating. There was outdoor seating so we brought my dog. The hummus was delicious! Also the Moroccan mint tea. So many highlights! Must come back to try everything else. New favorite place.

Speaking for the Fillmore location, the service is always super nice and friendly! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good tips. At the end of the meal, we got free dessert! Each dish was super tasty. I loved how the meat was tender and slid easily off the bone. The fillo was one of my favorites - super flaky and warm.

Well executed Mediterranean food with superb service! We went on Friday during lunch time and though busy, we were quickly seated and the wait staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the large combination platter, large bowl of chicken lemon soup and veggie kebab plate. Every item was delicious! The rice was some of the best rice I have ever eaten and the chicken lemon soup was WOW! It was clear that each dish was made with fresh ingredients. Be aware that though tofu is an ingredient listed in vege kebab, each kebab only contains 1 piece of tofu. Meal was the lovely combination of being both light and filling. We look forward to our next visit!

My friends and I stopped by for a late dinner and I immediately noticed how cozy and inviting the interior of the restaurant is. Lots of color, art, and plants. We were greeted by a very friendly server who recommended several dishes to share and we took him up on his recommendation! We ordered the Mediterranean Meza, beef kebabs, and falafel plate. This was plenty of food for 4 people and we had some leftovers to take home. The Mediterranean meza dish was great because it came with some many things to try! My group particularly liked the pomegranate chicken, beef kebabs, and fillos. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend checking out La Mediterranee and I would definitely come back

Celebrating Independence Day 2025, we participated in the annual Fillmore Jazz Festival this past weekend on glorious sunny (no Carl the Fog) listening to amazing Jazz, classical, Rock n Roll and all varieties of music, food, arts & crafts. Despite the abundance of food vendors we decided to have a late lunch at La Mediterranee on Fillmore Street. Fortunately, we were able to immediately secure a outside table on the busy festive sidewalk. Our server Kiara (from Peru) and our dear companion instantly connected speaking Spanish. We knew that our experience was going to be VERY fun and exceptional! My wife and I have been to this Pacific Heights location numerous times over the decades and we always are excited to experience their service and cusine. Kiara's incredible smile, menu recommendations and attitude was perfect! Her recommendation selections based on listening to our dietary needs and preferences were spot on! We ordered the larger sample platter "Mediterranean Meza" which included Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Tabuleh, Falafel, Armenian Potato Salad, Dollar Grape Leaf, Spinach & Feta Fillo, Rice Pilaf, Chicken Cilicia, Lamb Lule and Chicken Pomegranate and my favorite Avgolemono Soup (traditional Greek chicken and lemon soup). ALL the dishes were SPECTACULAR! Period. The location listening to the Jazz Festival music, watching the huge crowds passing on the side walk and commenting how delicious our meal appeared made for a relaxing Sunday afternoon delightful experience. Between the four of us the plates were totally consumed with culinary pleasure. The service by our Peruvian server, Kiara, made our afternoon like being in the shores of The Mediterranean and perfect in every way. We highly recommend LA Mediterranee as a special treat right here in San Francisco and save on a 12 hours flight! Bravo!

Chicken Pomegranate Dinner

Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in the city! Their famous pomegranate chicken is so juicy and moist, falls right off the bone! It also comes with a generous portion of rice and potato salad, which were both delicious. My entree was about $24 not including tax and tip. This was definitely a pricier meal after all added fees but I would visit again. Servers were friendly and although the restaurant isn't the largest, there is plenty of outdoor seating. Do keep in mind that for larger parties, there is an automatic 25% gratuity, on top of all other sales tax and SF city taxes. This made the meal quite expensive - our end total was 40% more than the subtotal

I really loved my experience at La Mediterranee! If you're with some friends shopping on Fillmore, stop by for a quick bite! They have a lovely indoor seating, but it was nice and sunny so we got patio seating. It was very clean and the service was quick, very nice! We shared a combination plate with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Tabouleh. Includes fresh veggies and pita bread- super fresh! I liked the hummus and the veggies, it was such a good share-able app! We also got dolma, they were great! Not soggy at all, very good! Not pictured because we ate it too quickly but the stuffed dates were fantastic, the soft caramel like date really hit after the apps. I highly recommend for a light healthy meal or shareable apps. If it were later in the day, we would've gotten drinks to share too! Such a great spot!

Outdoor seating, quick service, decent prices. Food: (3.5/5) - food was just okay, nothing I would crave enough to return. $20-30 per plate. Service and ambiance: (5/5) - friendly and casual

I will say if you make a reservation (I'd recommend, it's a small place and gets busy) be sure to be prompt as part of our group was running about 10 minutes late, and the servers kindly let us know we only had the table for an hour and a half, which is fairly strict on weekends.

I also appreciated the non-alcoholic options, including my favorite Fentiman's rose lemonade. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for happy hour. My only small critique is the restroom, since the entire restaurant is so classy and chic, it would have been the perfect finishing touch if the restrooms matched the same vibe.

It definitely could have used the coleslaw and pickles promised by the menu but they weren't in evidence. That was the problem with the falafel wrap, too: the menu promised hummus, cabbage & tomatoes salad, and pickled turnips, but those ingredients weren't anywhere to be seen. There was some lettuce instead, but lettuce is a poor substitute as it just becomes immediately soggy and adds no flavor. If you've ever had falafel in Israel, you will be disappointed by the falafel here, unfortunately. (Israeli falafel shops each make at least a dozen toppings from family recipes, so you put as many veggies and sauces in as you can to create a flavor party in your mouth.)

It was so good that it was the first time that we've ever repeated a restaurant for an anniversary date! I was hesitant that the second experience would live up to the first but it totally did and then some! We arrived 1.5 hours early to explore the Presidio - IMO the best and most beautiful part of San Francisco - and walked down to the Golden Gate Bridge and Beach where on an uncharacteristically immaculate, windless, perfectly baby bear (not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuust right) warm day we saw people body boarding and water skimming, stopping by the Korean War Memorial and the National Cemetery where endless rows of Korean War Vets killed in the line of duty are buried. The experience at Dalida is like a good dream that you don't want to end. If you go to Dalida, you might as well make a day out of it...we briefly stopped at Inspiration Point for a quick photo but you could also visit the Walt Disney Museum, the Lucas Film Lobby, the Palace of Fine Arts, take a quick stroll through Lover's Lane, visit the Presidio Officer's Club, or just hang out on the immaculate lawn across the street beforehand. It's housed in these stunning red brick buildings (where soldiers used to live in wartime) that make for some spectacular photos. From the marvelous front of house (shout out bubbly Meredith & kind Jackie) to the excellent service (shout out to Johana or Jo who was like one of the best servers we've ever had to the point of being memorable...perfectly personable without a hint of pretentiousness, warm, accommodating, and really knowledgeable about the finer points of the meal). We were lucky that Top Chef Season 21: Wisconsin 4th place finisher & Co-Head Chef Laura Ozyilmaz happened to be in the kitchen that day as we got her to sign a photo that we took with her last year. (I LOVE TOP CHEF so this was really cool!). She's so unbelievably down to earth friendly and passionate about her food. This would all be nothing without the FOOD. Last year we got the tasting menu and we got it again! It was a perfect blend of it's greatest hits and all new food we haven't tried before. The only things that were repeated from last year were the Fattoush Salad with crispy cucumbers, juicy flavorful heirloom tomatoes (WOW), sweet apricots, parsley, crispy pita croutons, candied walnuts, and tangy pomegranate molasses dressing (so perfectly balanced with amazing texture...a recurring theme throughout the meal) and the memorable Breaking Bread which should be renamed Breaking Bad because I think their Chubby Pita (hands down the best I've ever had) is laced with Walter White's crack or something man b/c it's soooo good. Accompanying the puffy pita is the best and smoothest hummus I've ever had, something called Muhammara which is a delicious, sweet roasted red pepper spread with walnuts, smoked yogurt (another WOW), punchy olives, and refreshing pickles. Welcome snacks included something called Sabzi (very herbacious and floral), an amazing Octopus Panipuri with Mint Chutney, and Mussels stuffed with rice. No misses here...everything is distinctive, exploding with flavor, and delights with various textures. Next came a crunchy Kibbeh with either curried lamb or beef (I forget)...it came with a Tahini sauce with a smiley face dollop of balsamic. =) This was followed up with a delightful carob pasta with pork shoulder...the flavor on this dish wasn't like an explosion per se and was more muted compared to the other dishes but it was hearty and reminded me of a good Italian ragout dish. It was still excellent and a delightful contrast to the rest of the meal. Then came the highlight and star of the show: a completely succulent, I-don't-need-teeth-to-chew pork collar which was impossibly fatty and unctuous and tender, accompanied by this appropriately tangy pomegranate sauce that got back on the flavor bomb.com train. What came with it was a complete surprise. I forget what the Turkish name of the dish was but it was like a Rice Wellington! The fragrant rice inside was flavored with dill and sweet Turkish Apricots and was baked inside this perfectly crunchy, flaky, buttery puff pastry...another WOW dish I've never had before and bet you haven't either! We also ordered a side of the crispy buttery Persian Tahdig rice that we enjoyed so much last year but that didn't come with the tasting menu this year (order it if it's not on the Tasting Menu). Dessert was the unique sticky Turkish Ice Cream that we remembered so fondly from last year and craved again since, a refreshing and not-too-sweet Strawberry Jasmine Sorbet, Sesame "Halva", and a chocolate cake with honeycomb ice cream. Everything on the menu is unique, creative, whimsical, rooted in Chef Sayat's Turkish, Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Persian, and Arabic (!) heritage, flavor bomb.com, and simple food elevated to something memorable.

So lucky we got reservations for a group of 6. We ordered drinks and a little bit of everything…read more From the breakin bread, to octopus, to beet salad, to the lamb shoulder, fish, chicken and a couple of desserts.
