    Beef Kabob Plate
    Maya R.

I came here after a workout in the area and it hittt the spot. We were a party of three and ordered two plates plus a side of baba ganoush--and we were stuffed. The food came out quickly and was flavored to perfection. Everything had such good flavor, and each bite kept me wanting more and more. We all preferred the chicken plate over the beef kabob plate, but honestly both were amazing and I'd order them both again without hesitation. The baba ganoush was fresh and a pretty generous portion for a side dish. I can't wait to come back!

Omg not enough good things to say about this place!! I first heard about it though a family friend and now it's a must visit everytime I go to SF. The food is unreal, the flavors are amazing, and the ambiance is spot on. It literally feels like you walked into a family restaurant or a grandmas kitchen filled with love!! For 3 people, we got the chicken kabob and beef kabob as well and the musakhan! We devoured everything clean. Chicken kabob: so tender and flavorful and super juicy, not dry at all. Beef kabob: The beef was also had great balanced flavors and a good texture. Both came with rice and hummus which was absolutely delicious. You can tell the ingredients are super high quality and fresh. I appreciate that it comes with 3 kabobs and grilled veggies on them. The musakhan...I don't even know how to describe except that it was a 10/10, absolutely no notes! The chicken is so tender, the flavors all blend beautifully, and the bread is just the right texture of crunchy and chewy. We walked away super full and super happy. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Service is great and it's truly just a joyful experience! Don't skip this place, it's a must everytime I'm in the bay. It was about $90 for 3 people but so worth it!!

Order with the cashier, pay, get a number and your food will be sent to your table. We ordered the Chicken kabobs 5/5 - tender chicken drizzled with garlic sauce and the rice was v good too (& I don't eat rice) Mezzo sampler 4/5 - the falafels were good and I really liked the red pepper dip, but would prob skip it next time Pomegranate salad 3/5 - ok only. We didn't get pomegranates in the salad so we're a bit thrown off Raspberry lemonade 5/5 - yum made in house and was nice and tart and a great digestive. Staff rec said it was enough food if we were not too hungry and it was just the right amount for two. There is an indoor and outdoor casual seating area. We opted to sit outside bc the inside felt a bit stuffy. Would come back to try other proteins like beef and lamb.

Definitely recommend eating here at least once if you enjoy middle eastern food. Chicken shish - 10/10 Everyone loved the flavor and chicken was so tender Mezze sampler - Everyone's favorite was the hummus! I also really enjoyed the sweetness from the red pepper hummus Musakhan - Very tender chicken as well but more of a roasted chicken flavor. If you dine in, you're given pita bread! Service was eh/ we never got water refill. I also heard that we can get pita bread refills but we never got one )-: Ambiance is good! Good place for family and friends to dine in.

    Mezze Sampler

Stopped by for lunch with a friend around noon on a Sunday! We ordered a Mezze Sampler to share, and I got the Beef Kebab Plate. I also ordered Shay for my drink (black tea with mint and sugar). The Mezze Sampler is SO GOOD. I love dishes that have variety, and this is one of them! The muhammara and baba ganoush were my favorites. My beef kebab plate was also delicious. I tried to get a little bit of everything in each bite I had and I was just so happy with my dish :) My black tea was also really nice! I would definitely come again if I'm in the area! The service is good and the food is amazing!

we only waited about 10mins on a sunday night, but it was constantly bustling and pretty loud. food came out pretty quickly though. the falafel was a little dry for my liking, and the pita were a bit tough, but I loved the halloumi! the chicken in both the kebab and musakhan dishes were very tender

Beit Rima in Duboce Triangle was such a great find. The food was absolutely amazing!! Full of flavor and clearly made with care. It's a smaller spot, but that's part of what makes it special. The space has a great vibe; cozy, lively, and packed with locals, which always feels like a good sign. As someone visiting San Francisco, it was really nice to experience a place that feels genuinely local rather than touristy. I truly enjoyed the whole experience, and it's definitely going to be my go-to spot whenever I'm back in the city.

    Baked Halloumi

Expected this place to be like a proper dine in restaurant with the prices they have on the menu but it's actually a self service place with unreasonable prices. Cashier had an attitude and didn't even greet us properly. Got the baked halloumi which was def not worth $15 for 3 blocks of cheese in oil. Also got the chicken shish tawook plate, which comes with 3 chicken skewers and 2 of them were undercooked/RAW which just ruined our appetite. We told them about this, and even the replacement they brought was rubbery. The hummus that came with the plate was decent but yeah that's the only positive about this spot.

Falafel plate and Whole Fried Branzino
    Kimberly N.

A friend told me that the whole fried branzino is THE dish to get, and word on the street was spot on! The branzino was fluffy and well cooked; it maintained a solid crunch without feeling greasy. The sauces paired well with the flavors of the fish as well. The falafel plate was well balanced with all of the different textures. Falafel maintained a solid crunch and was seasoned well. Pairing both plates together gives a great representation of the menu at Beit Rima. My only regret was not saving enough stomach space to try the beef or lamb!

    Lemonades
    Yasmeen E.

My husband and I decided to check out this place because it looked nice from the outside. We ordered the chicken shish tawook, the beef kebab, and two different lemonades. Right away, I noticed that the beef kebab was very flavorful. However, I do think the menu description is a bit misleading. It tasted and looked like kufta kebab, which is great if that's what you're expecting. But calling it "beef kebab" gives a different impression, especially for people who might be expecting full cuts of grilled beef rather than minced meat. The chicken shish tawook had an interesting flavor profile. It was good, but I don't think I would get it again. I was personally hoping for something closer to mishawi, and this didn't really match that flavor. Still, it wasn't bad. It came with hummus and rice, which were fine, but I do think a small salad should be included. Something fresh would help balance out the richness of the meal and make the plate feel more complete. As for the lemonades, they were tasty, but I didn't realize they would come in small bottles. It would be helpful if that was mentioned on the menu, just to set expectations. Service was good but minimal. Nothing bad, but not particularly memorable either. Overall, it was a decent experience with a few things that could be clearer or improved.

    Chicken Shish Tawook Plate

I always see people eating outdoors when I'm taking the N Judah so it's been on my list for awhile. This was my first time trying Arabic food and it was a comforting experience. Would recommend joining waitlist beforehand. We ordered the chicken shish tawook plate, beef kabob plate and a mixed kabob a la carte to share between 2 people. Our favorite was the chicken. It had a slight char and creaminess from the yogurt marinade. Just put the chicken into the pita pocket along with some hummus..10/10 Both the beef and mixed kabob were a little on the dry side though. The rice was buttery and savory, getting all its flavor from the meat that sat on top. My friend and I both really liked the grilled tomato and pickles - if only they had more of that with the dish! We thought the portions were generous and we probably could have split amongst a 3rd person. Price per dish was decent for SF given the portion and quality. Next time, will try the hand kneaded bread and mezze platter !

Seriously one of the best restaurants I've ever been to (please open up a Beit Rima in LA)! I will say it's super loud inside ahaha but I understand why it's full. The staff was very busy but nice. I've had other Mediterranean food and this place is truly like no other. The flavors are so unique since it has this blend of earthy, savory, and sweet flavors. Price and portion wise: for 3 girls who were sharing several dishes, we got super full, the portions are great, the prices are well worth the flavor and craft of the dishes! Top 3 Dishes: - Chicken Musakhan: savory chicken with caramelized onions on a bed of pita - Batata Harra: similar to potato wedges but the spices are wildly good - Delicata Squash: this dish was slightly sweet and had cinnamon which was so yummy and it complemented the savory dishes well Oh and you have to get the halloumi if you love cheese. I regret not trying the dessert but I'll be back!!

    Jessie H.

Went back again this year and Im pleased to report that it was just as amazing, if not better this time! My sister tried the bone in chicken this round and said it was just divine/ packed with flavor! The staff and service were very sweet and gave us refills on the tea, but this is a quick casual service type of place. I cannot wait to recommend and bring my guy here!!!

It was so good that it was the first time that we've ever repeated a restaurant for an anniversary date! I was hesitant that the second experience would live up to the first but it totally did and then some! We arrived 1.5 hours early to explore the Presidio - IMO the best and most beautiful part of San Francisco - and walked down to the Golden Gate Bridge and Beach where on an uncharacteristically immaculate, windless, perfectly baby bear (not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuust right) warm day we saw people body boarding and water skimming, stopping by the Korean War Memorial and the National Cemetery where endless rows of Korean War Vets killed in the line of duty are buried. The experience at Dalida is like a good dream that you don't want to end. If you go to Dalida, you might as well make a day out of it...we briefly stopped at Inspiration Point for a quick photo but you could also visit the Walt Disney Museum, the Lucas Film Lobby, the Palace of Fine Arts, take a quick stroll through Lover's Lane, visit the Presidio Officer's Club, or just hang out on the immaculate lawn across the street beforehand. It's housed in these stunning red brick buildings (where soldiers used to live in wartime) that make for some spectacular photos. From the marvelous front of house (shout out bubbly Meredith & kind Jackie) to the excellent service (shout out to Johana or Jo who was like one of the best servers we've ever had to the point of being memorable...perfectly personable without a hint of pretentiousness, warm, accommodating, and really knowledgeable about the finer points of the meal). We were lucky that Top Chef Season 21: Wisconsin 4th place finisher & Co-Head Chef Laura Ozyilmaz happened to be in the kitchen that day as we got her to sign a photo that we took with her last year. (I LOVE TOP CHEF so this was really cool!). She's so unbelievably down to earth friendly and passionate about her food. This would all be nothing without the FOOD. Last year we got the tasting menu and we got it again! It was a perfect blend of it's greatest hits and all new food we haven't tried before. The only things that were repeated from last year were the Fattoush Salad with crispy cucumbers, juicy flavorful heirloom tomatoes (WOW), sweet apricots, parsley, crispy pita croutons, candied walnuts, and tangy pomegranate molasses dressing (so perfectly balanced with amazing texture...a recurring theme throughout the meal) and the memorable Breaking Bread which should be renamed Breaking Bad because I think their Chubby Pita (hands down the best I've ever had) is laced with Walter White's crack or something man b/c it's soooo good. Accompanying the puffy pita is the best and smoothest hummus I've ever had, something called Muhammara which is a delicious, sweet roasted red pepper spread with walnuts, smoked yogurt (another WOW), punchy olives, and refreshing pickles. Welcome snacks included something called Sabzi (very herbacious and floral), an amazing Octopus Panipuri with Mint Chutney, and Mussels stuffed with rice. No misses here...everything is distinctive, exploding with flavor, and delights with various textures. Next came a crunchy Kibbeh with either curried lamb or beef (I forget)...it came with a Tahini sauce with a smiley face dollop of balsamic. =) This was followed up with a delightful carob pasta with pork shoulder...the flavor on this dish wasn't like an explosion per se and was more muted compared to the other dishes but it was hearty and reminded me of a good Italian ragout dish. It was still excellent and a delightful contrast to the rest of the meal. Then came the highlight and star of the show: a completely succulent, I-don't-need-teeth-to-chew pork collar which was impossibly fatty and unctuous and tender, accompanied by this appropriately tangy pomegranate sauce that got back on the flavor bomb.com train. What came with it was a complete surprise. I forget what the Turkish name of the dish was but it was like a Rice Wellington! The fragrant rice inside was flavored with dill and sweet Turkish Apricots and was baked inside this perfectly crunchy, flaky, buttery puff pastry...another WOW dish I've never had before and bet you haven't either! We also ordered a side of the crispy buttery Persian Tahdig rice that we enjoyed so much last year but that didn't come with the tasting menu this year (order it if it's not on the Tasting Menu). Dessert was the unique sticky Turkish Ice Cream that we remembered so fondly from last year and craved again since, a refreshing and not-too-sweet Strawberry Jasmine Sorbet, Sesame "Halva", and a chocolate cake with honeycomb ice cream. Everything on the menu is unique, creative, whimsical, rooted in Chef Sayat's Turkish, Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Persian, and Arabic (!) heritage, flavor bomb.com, and simple food elevated to something memorable.

So lucky we got reservations for a group of 6. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! Poured on olive oil, more salt, & garlic. Yeah, gotta use the hands, chew...graciously pulling out the bones, looking as civilized as possible. Folks, this is Mediterranean: a great fish should be eaten like this. Crisp skin, get the meat from the cheeks & head. Again: emphasis on olive oil mixed with fish juices from bones & lemon! We were stuffed and shared a Baklava. Nobody does it better. Except James Bond, 007, but in a different context. 2 glasses of wine & 2 Shirley Temples for kids. The service was excellent. Attentive. We were in the back & it wasn't loud. Classy servers & classy people enjoying themselves. Oh: great portions too. $407, including 20% tip. Great value for what you get. We've come here for special occasions. They've strengthened the bond, we'll be back more often. So reminiscent of what I eat in Croatia when I visit. Thank you Hellas!
