This is a delicious Mediterranean spot ! All the dishes were so good and the portion sizes are big enough to share ! This is a great date night spot as well and the service was great ! The dumplings were so unique, defs worth a try !

Really yummy Turkish restaurant! I came here with a friend for their Turkish breakfast for 2 and we were blown away by the variety of flavors and the large portion! There's a variety of warm bread, a spread of olives, cheese, yogurt dip, tahini, and shashuka with beef sausage. My favorite bites were the shashuka with pita bread and the simit (a Turkish sesame pretzel) topped with kaymak + honey. I loved the kaymak which reminded me of a British clotted cream and the labnah parfait which had such a great thick greek yogurt consistency with a nice tang. It's a great way to try bunch of little bites - the perfect girl brunch! The atmosphere during brunch is casual but fun and there was a DJ as well! It's lively without being too busy or loud which is appreciated on Fillmore! Definitely come by if you're looking for Turkish cuisine.

Came here with a friend for dinner on a Monday. There was no wait and the staff was attentive and friendly. The interior was warm and chic and great for a date spot or friends catchup. We ordered hummus with lamb, cauliflower, and the chicken skewer to share. The hummus with lamb is amazing and a must try. I've never had such combo and it's so flavorful. The cauliflower and the chicken skewers are good as well but the chicken was a bit dry. Maybe lamb skewers would be better. Overall a nice place with reasonable portions and nice vibes.

Service was good. We sat in their outdoor covered seating and it was nice and clean. We tried the Turkish beef dumpling with the yogurt sauce and the lamb chops with warm hummus and roasted potatoes. The dumplings were small but plentiful - mostly dough and the beef flavor was not notable because the ratio of filling to dough highly favored the dough. This tasted nice but the beef was not the highlight. The lamb chops we ordered medium and they were very good. Overall enjoyed the meal.

Ordered a Greek chicken salad to go and unfortunately noticed a live bug moving around on the lettuce through the container lid. I returned to the restaurant and showed it to the staff, and they replaced it with chicken and rice. While I appreciate their quick response, this was not what I ordered (no avocado, cheese, veggies, etc) and I did not receive any discount.

This place needs no introduction. With its amazing service and flavorful food Troya never disappoints. The first time I came here was a year ago and when we went yesterday, the flavors were even better than I remember. Seating is wooden chairs and benches (booths), and it is such a cozy atmosphere. Service was 10/10, as our server was extremely attentive to consistently filling up our waters and clearing plates (or providing plates) promptly.

Very cute place. I didn't think it would be as spacious inside based on the outside. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 130p. There were people in there and we got seated right away. There was a DJ there. I thought that was a cool addition to the ambiance. I had the Shashuka. It was very saucy. I wish they provided more pita bread because I had a lot of tomato sauce left. The sauce didn't quite taste homemade but more out of a can. I could be wrong but to me it didn't taste "fresh". It was still good though. The egg was cooked just right. My friend had the Turkish scramble. He said it was good. I could've scooped some of his scrambled eggs to mix with my tomato sauce. I would come back again. The table next to us had a huge salad. It looked so good. I'll have to try that next time I come back....with that said, I'd definitely come back.

We found Troya to be ok, 3.5 stars (which I'll round up as usual). We got there for a late lunch, around 3pm, and ordered the Vegetarian feast for two. There were several dishes, with a range of quality. First out was a salad, which wasn't very good. It's not a Greek salad, for one thing. The feta was completely tasteless, and watermelon radishes look nice, but added no flavor. We mostly tasted the dressing and green (?) olives. There was a platter with tzatziki, hummus, and muhammara, with some pita. It wasn't bad, not special. The falafel balls and dolmades were quite good. We liked the cauliflower and crispy brussel sprouts with aioli very much. Finally there was moussaka, made with eggplant with lentils inside. More seasoning was needed in the tomato sauce, and the rice pilaf was pretty bland as well. But it was a lot of food, and we left with several boxes. The setting was bright and clean, but just generally needs a flavor injection. They gave us two small pieces of baklava as well, which were tasty.

Love this spot! It's super cute & cozy and the food is so underrated. I like how simple the menu is. We ordered the trio dip platter, red lentil soup and braised lamb shoulder. All the dips are so delicious! I love the muhammara here, it's soo good. Also, the lentil soup really surprised me. It's creamy and is perfect for a chilly day. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Also the rice with the yogurt was creamy and perfectly spiced. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here!

The music and interior décor create such a great vibe here. We made a reservation just to be safe, and the moment we walked in, the incredible aroma had us excited. The portions were just right, allowing us to try a variety of dishes, all packed with bold and delicious flavors. Highly recommend the lamb shoulder and Manti, both were outstanding!

We went to Troya to celebrate our anniversary. I noted that on the open table reservation. It was pretty easy to get a Monday night 6:30 reservation. There were plenty of tables to choose from, too. He had an IPA and I had a glass of Turkish red wine. They came pretty fast. My wine was served chilled which was interesting, but fine. We shared the Brussels sprouts. They were loaded with paprika. So much in fact that my plate was red after trying a bite. Too spicy and no Brussels sprout flavor. Not my favorite. Then, I had the quinoa salad and he had the lamb shoulder. My salad didn't really have quinoa. It mostly had lettuce and radishes and strawberries and olives. It was listed on the menu as having pomegranate and apples. When it came with strawberries, I asked our server why it had something else. Apparently they were out. I wish I knew that because I don't like strawberries and was hopeful to have a quinoa salad. The server comped me a salmon skewer which was super cool. I liked the skewer and our server who was kind. He enjoyed the lamb. Overall it was fine, but we have many other options in the neighborhood that are so good.

Everything was amazing! I always get a craving for a rich, creamy tzatziki or Turkish cacik. It has become one of my favorite comfort foods. This place did not disappoint. The tzatziki was well seasoned with just the right amount of oil garnished on top. The rice was buttery and delightful. It had some of my favorite ingredients, like chickpeas and slivered almonds. The pita bread was just dense enough for me to be able to pair it with the tzatziki without breaking off. It was perfect! Would definitely order takeout from them again.

Came in for a weeknight dinner and the atmosphere was so relaxed! It had a golden glowy warm ambience and wasn't packed at all - almost like a coffee shop after hours. My friend and I tried the baked eggplant (toasty and tender, almost creamy), hummus with lamb (could have an entire meal of just this + pita), and braised lamb shoulder (so indulgent, also complex with nuttiness/a bit of tartness). Chill spot, good food. A little pricier for the portion sizes but worth stopping in!

I love lamb so I got the lamb shish plate with bulgar wheat with tomato paste; it also came with salad and yogurt for $30 post tax. My friend got a chicken kebab sandwich which came with fries and was more reasonably $20. However the quality was top, all the ingredients were fresh and healthy. We were both super impressed given that SOMA doesn't have a lot of food options, and I had picked this based on the map location between the two of us. Around 5pm families started pouring in for the dinner rush and it was clear that we came in between rushes. The cafe is very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. There was a little sign saying thank you in Turkish at the counter. They have a bunch of sweet treats that I did not try but I will have to come back for some Turkish delights.

The breakfast was delish it came with a spongeee egg omelette with cheese inside and a side green salad, three types of bread. One looked like a bagel with sesames seeds however it was a fluffy bread one you bit into it. The second one was like a pretzel tasting. The third one was my favorite more like a cheese quiche. It also came with a platter with several bowls. The honey with cheese was great with the pretzel Tasting bread. There was one like a tomatoe paste with herbs very flavorful not spicy went well with everything. The brown olives were my favorite. It felt very fresh to eat. We also had Turkish coffee. This is why I gave it a four. It was okay, I love coffee and had it better before. It didn't hit as much coffee bean flavor, strong but not full bodied. I ordered their rice pudding like to eat here. They also had a milk one I was curious about. I liked it. It reminded me of a Mexican rice pudding without the cinnamon and less sweet. Next time will try the milk one. We took a few cookies to go those were sold by the pound/weighted. My son preferred the triangle one he doesn't like coconut I ended up eating it. I thought it was good similar to baklava but instead of flaky pastry it was coconut and sesame. The chocolate round cookie was delish a butter cookie with milk chocolate. The rectangle chocolate pastry was a bit too Rick for me. Super sweet. Our ultimate favorites to go were the 5 pc Turkish delights. All tasted so good. It reminded me of my layovers at the Turkey airport. There's plenty of indoor seating. Table/chair seating is medi style white and blue color very Paris refreshing ambiance. I can't believe they are opened till 10 pm. The service was good, ordered at register, was given a number, have a seat and they bring your food to the table. One small detail I liked very much that stands from others are their wet mandarin napkins. They smelled so good and cleaned my hands.
