Kefta kabobs (comes with 3 but 1 was taken by the time I took a pic lol)

This restaurant is a must try if you love middle eastern cuisine! It a small restaurant with a casual intimate setting. I went on a Saturday at 8pm and all the tables we're occupied. Here's what I ordered to share for a party of 3: -Mezze sampler (10/10 can't ever go wrong with a mezze platter) - chicken musakhan (8/10) - arugala and haloumi salad (9/10, recommend trying if you never had grilled cheese before!) - kefta kabobs (8/10) - lamb chops (11/10, this was my favorite! Right amount of seasoning and sooooo TENDER) It didn't seem like we ordered enough food but it was more than enough. I also really appreciate how the Menu is very reasonable being that it's so expensive to eat out now. We also ordered a few glasses of wine and the bill was only $150! I'll def will be back :)

I went to Falasteen last night and it was amazing! We started with the incredibly delicious mezze sampler, which had four different types of visually appealing pita dips and beautiful olive oil. I specifically liked the Mutabal and the Muhammara. The amazing crispy ground beef kibbeh croquettes were also to die for. For the main course, the chicken kebab was grilled perfectly on the outside and so tender on the inside, served with delicious spiced rice and a nice yogurt sauce. The ambiance was so nice and cozy, with dim lighting, comfy couches, and a really beautiful mural of Banksy's 'Flower Thrower'. Highly recommend! Thank you Argentina, your service was wonderful! You should get a raise :)

From the warm, inviting ambiance to every beautifully crafted dish, it's more than a meal, it's a full cultural experience. And trust me... get the lamb shanks. The flavors, the speciality Palestinian inspired drinks, the vibe and everything just hits. Will be back!

Went here with a few girlfriends on a Thursday around 5:30. We didn't have a reservation, yet they still sat us right away and were so welcoming and kind. Loved the decor and vibe of the place! The service was great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the cauliflower and kobbeh. Can't wait to go back!

Falasteen just opened and it's already the best thing to happen to 24th St. The space easily has the most beautiful aesthetic of any restaurant in the neighborhood, yet is intimate and stunning. We watched person after person do a double take walking by. Inside, it felt like a special occasion even on a regular night. The food was genuinely on another level. We started with the cheese sambousek, which was perfectly crispy and rich, and the cauliflower fetteh, which I'm still thinking about. The batata harra and lamb entree had incredible depth of flavor. And we finished with qatayef for dessert, which was the perfect ending. We also ordered a couple bottles of Dabouki wine and got a lovely history lesson along with it. The staff here have built something really special. Go now before everyone finds out!

I attended the soft launch of Falasteen this weekend. An absolutely beautiful restaurant with delicious food! I especially loved the falafel dish and fresh pita bread. I also had the vegan eggplant dish (made with vegan yogurt) which was savory. I appreciated the homage this restaurant paid to Palestine with their Ghassan Kanafi book on the shelf, wooden engraved decoration, framed tatreez, Kefiya on every chair. They also had wine that is made in Palestine. 10/10 experience!

We had the maze sampler, the batata harra, kibbeh, and the cauliflower fattoush. Everything was incredible but the cauliflower fattoush is not to be missed!! Everything about this experience, from the service, to the food, to the ambiance was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to come back!

What a lovely spot! It was their soft opening and we had the lamb cutlets, the chicken kabobs and the fattoush salad. Everything was so delicious and the meat was very flavorful. Even the rice tasted so good! The staff was super friendly. Excited to come back here again!

The food was below average - stale flavorless pita, and watery spreads (babaganoush and labne).

When we arrived at around 7:30 pm, there were tables available. It's a comfortable cafe-like restaurant with mural paintings on the wall. Service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Sadly, probably won't be back.

The Shawarma Combo Plate came with both chicken shawarma and lamb/beef shawarma, marinated, grilled strips of meat, topped with toum and green tahini, and served with yellow rice, arugula salad, hummus, and grilled slices of pita. The Combo Kebab Plate was an equally delicious collection of three grilled meat kebabs--I chose the chicken shish tawook, the lamb shish kebab, and the ground beef kafta. My favorite components of these dishes were the falafel and hummus, which went perfectly together with the grilled pita and the flavorful condiments. But a final favorite dish of mine was the Zahra Be Laben, a stew of fried cauliflower and tender cubes of lamb in a warm garlic yogurt sauce, served with yellow rice and pita bread on the side. The best part of this dish was the yogurt sauce, which was perfectly creamy, savory, and tangy, and which went perfectly with the other components. Overall, the flavors of the food here were all on point and worth the price. The service, however, was slow and not particularly attentive.

We loved the Combo appetizer plate which came with generous portions of 9 different items. I loved everything ! I'm an eggplant lover and two of the dips were eggplant based . My new favorite dip is the Mercimek Kofte which is a red lentil based chunky dip ; I would've guessed garbanzo bean based dip. The Haydari dip was also super addictive, a thick creamy dip made of kefir cheese and Greek yogurt. So many delicious but gut healthy items of the combo plate; which comes with thin lavash bread. Also loved the red lentil soup, which was warming on a rainy day. I thought it was flavorful without being overly spiced or too thick. My husband enjoyed the lamb kebabs.
