So our out the door after they added their sf mandate tax and we added tip was $77 for an order of French toast, a "meatless" bulgogi burger and 2 coffees. We casually stroll from our beautiful hotel (because we overslept the 1st floor breakfast buffet offering) to a corner restaurant -"Sweet Maple". The line was 20 people PAST the bus stop. I can SAY that because we had eaten dinner at an actual Michelin rated restaurant the night before. My daughter had Eggs Benedict and the granddaughter had fresh fruit, fresh squeezed OJ in an ADULT glass (because she is a Big Girl now). While we paid our tab we heard a woman scream "I'm giving this restaurant a ONE STAARR REVIEW on YELP because of this WAIT!!!" OMG I thought someone had been ROBBED--but..on THIS Mother's DAY..it was only a spoiled young lady with poor manners. Their bottomless mimosas are available before 2:00pm, which means as long as you get seated before that time it is applicable. The pizza was a perfect brunchy selection, as it has chicken mango sausage, cherry pepper, scallion, mushroom, mozzarella, arugula, ranch, and a sunny side up egg. A little lunch, a little breakfast. I was initially hesitant about the Millionaire's bacon...could it be that great?!? But, it was sooooo delicious! It is worth every penny. If you even remotely like bacon, I highly recommend. The service was great and attentive. It does get a bit loud and the tables are pretty close together, but we were able to have a conversation without much of an issue. When we got there, there was a line going around the corner but because we were willing to sit outside we got a spot pretty quick. I don' think it was so much the cinnamon taste, but rather the chalky texture of the coating that turned me off. Rosemary Millionaire's Bacon: Probably my second favorite, after the original. Nothing sweet about this, with nice rich herbal tones. I could see this making an amazing BLT or Chicken Avocado Bacon sandwich. I wish they had reservations so we wouldn't have had to wait in line for so long which is frustrating. Honestly, the indoor decor reminded me of a hotel breakfast buffet. Brightly lit, random decor, high ceilings, and all that. The service by the staff was of all kinds and courteous. For my meal, I had the Savory Skillet which is a soufflé egg. The dish was massive, and lots of eggs were used! All of the toppings were on top. Unfortunately, I felt like it lacked much flavor once you got into the eggs. Though the texture of the eggs was soft and fluffy. I didn't try the sides because I was full but my friend ate my potatoes and he liked them. Overall, I thought my meal was okay but I tried other really good items! Saw it online for the San Francisco location too, so we headed over this past Sunday (love the cozy vibes btw)... only to find out they don't serve it, the chicken croffle . Staff even said it's 'never been on the SF menu,' but my GF swears she had it here five years back. Super disappointed--it's honestly one of the best things they've got.
