Busier than usual because of the World Cup events but still got in in a timely manner. Sweet maple is consistent with their food and service. It is pricey but the portions are large in comparison to other places in SF

Don't let the line discourage you. I only waited about 20ish minutes to get a table on a Saturday even though the line looked pretty long; they have plenty of seating, inside and outdoor. The best part of this place for me is the atmosphere and their nice menu selection. I think the food is good, but not anything superior to other popular brunch spots. It's a good place for people to gather and grab a bite to eat. :)

Tried the ribeye omurice at Kitchen Story and it's definitely one of the more unique brunch dishes I've had. The omurice itself was super soft and creamy, with that perfectly runny egg on top that makes the dish. The ribeye added a nice savory touch and was fairly tender, though a few bites were a little chewier than expected. Flavor-wise, it leans on the richer side, so it can get a bit heavy toward the end, but overall still really satisfying. Portion size is solid--definitely something you could share if you're not super hungry. Service was friendly and the place has a lively brunch vibe, though it can get busy and a little loud.

One of my favorite brunch spots in the city because of the variety of options you always have on the menu, and I love seeing what specialty items they'll have each time I go! The ube latte tasted so yummy, and of course the pancakes were just so light and fluffy. We came around 1pm on a Friday and were seated right away. Service was very quick from there. I've come for bottomless before too and can highly recommend! The Saturday energy on their outdoor patio is so nice, and they have a variety of fun mimosa flavors to choose from.

The florentine eggs benedict was the best I've ever had, and that's coming from an eggs benny enthusiast!!!! Same with the mocha, which is also my go-to latte!!! My friend had me try some of his Millionaire's bacon and it was sooo good! We bought some to-go to give our other friend, and even a day later, he really liked it too! I would recommend the candy bacon just because my friend said it's crispier, but if you prefer slightly softer on your teeth, get the Millionaire's bacon :) Service was very pleasant! Our waitress recommended the mocha latte, it was a lovely choice! I had asked between that or the matcha (which my friend ended up getting), and the barista brought out two matcha lattes. We weren't sure if we misheard her rec, so we didn't say anything, plus the matcha was my other choice anyways, but our waitress noticed and brought over a mocha latte. She gave us the other matcha latte for free, saying the barista made a mistake (though we hadn't minded) There was also no wait at peak breakfast/brunch, but that could be because we came on a Thursday. It was still very busy though

Last day in SF well spent. We got to Sweet Maple for Sunday brunch around 10:30 and were seated within 15-20 minutes. So if you want to beat the rush we saw as we left, earlier is better. The food here is an absolutely amazing traditional breakfast/Asian food fusion you would never expect. We tried a number of dishes and everyone LOVED their dishes. The ube martini is a must try. My only note, is that this is a fairly large and busy restroom serving copious amounts of mimosas with only two toilets... The lines can get quite long and we had a table right near the bathroom so we consistently had people kind of just awkwardly standing near us.

Not gonna lie this place was a little overhyped in my opinion. The place is VERY cute so the vibes are there! But the food was simply average and overpriced. Service was also nice, but can't say I was impressed by anything. Good spot to take multiple people. We walked in as a party of 6 and were sat right away.

I have loved Sweet Maple for decades for its amazing and friendly staff, the unmatched FOOD, and the comforting vibe of the space! My husband and I went for Mother's Day and had some of our favorites: The South of the Border chorizo scramble, a Swedish pancake, and Millionaire's bacon! We also tried the Oscar benedict for the first time - the Dungeness crab, asparagus, spinach with wasabi hollandaise did not disappoint! 5 stars all around!!!

This morning I visited Sweet Maple for brunch with high expectations. I ordered the New York steak medium rare, but unfortunately it was served medium. The presentation was good, but when it comes to steak, temperature is everything, and I specifically did not order medium. When the server came to remove the plate, my dog barked unexpectedly, which startled him and caused coffee to spill onto the table. It was an awkward moment, but the staff handled it professionally and remained attentive throughout. The overall service was good and friendly, and the waiting time was pretty standard for a brunch spot. The décor is simple and basic, nothing particularly memorable, but comfortable enough. I also ordered a Nutella crepe, and here's where I was truly disappointed. It wasn't Nutella.. it tasted like regular chocolate spread. And as someone who considers herself a Nutella connoisseur, I can tell the difference immediately. If you advertise Nutella, it should be Nutella. Overall, it was a decent experience with some details that could definitely be improved. I would give it another chance, hoping next time the steak temperature and the "Nutella" live up to expectations.

A classic sf brunch experience. I heard about this place around 2015(?) ishhh because of their bacon and have been a few times. But.... I wanted to post these aesthetic pictures and food since I don't think I ever did before. There's always a line out the door but the wait was relatively short for a weekend. There were so many options but I chose what my eyes saw and everyone had this dish. It was going to be a long day so why not start it with a drink. Their drinks were amazing and the food was devoured. The place was full but it was still easy to yap and people watch. Lowkey though, the prices of brunch has gotten so expensive but it's relatively in the ballpark in comparison. That's just a small vent.

Very bustling and busy brunch spot! There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Their bottomless mimosas are available before 2:00pm, which means as long as you get seated before that time it is applicable. They have different flavors of mimosas and will bring out a small pitcher for a refill of each flavor. I got the mushroom melt sandwich. I personally got tired of eating straight mushroom so I did not end of finishing it, and wish I picked a different sandwich. However, the bread is very good and the salad on the side has a nice dressing.

Fresh ingredients, great vibes, delicious brunch! Felt like the whole dish was farm to fork. Thoroughly enjoyed the eggs benedict which was soft to perfection with amazing hollandaise sauce!

    Ingrid M.

Food was good and so was the service. What I didn't appreciate about this establishment is calling Ube, "Japanese Ube". Matcha is from Japan. Ube is from the Philippines. We would never say Filipino Matcha.

It's convenitly located on the first floor right inside the window, so you can miss it. There were a couple other food vendors down there, including a full bar, and they were playing some World Cuo matches, which was a nice touch. Making a burger choice was tough, but I went with the double OG, which did not let me down. The lace was crispy, and the flavor combination of the ingredients was perfect. It was a top smash burger in the bay, and I'd def go again if in the area.

"Smish Smash I was taking a bath, long about a Wednesday night, yeah!!!" Okay I'm no Bobby Darin,…read morebut I am quite the aspiring burger aficionado and the smash burgers being handcrafted at Smish Smash are some of the best and most affordable in the entire city of San Francisco! And when Food & Wine Magazine calls this burger one of the most exciting in the U.S., I for one was implored to take notice and visit! Located on the first floor of Saluhall on Market Street in downtown San Francisco next to the IKEA store, Smish Smash started as a pop-up six years ago by owners Am y Han and Victor Donado. Just last year they opened their first stand-alone location on the first floor of Saluhall, which to be quite honest has struggled to keep their other vendors open. Thankfully, Smish Smash has had the benefit of being on the first floor with a view of Market Street, not to mention a great word of mouth thanks to their exceptional smashed burgers that has not only many burger lovers coming in, but quite the number of delivery drivers coming in to pick up burger orders galore. What brought me here to Smish Smash was the fact that a friend and I had theatre tickets at the nearby Golden Gate Theatre and we decided that we needed something quick and delicious before we walked back to the theatre to sit for almost three hours of a show. They suggested that we try this amazing and fun burger concept that was garnering significant buzz and so meeting up at Saluhall was the way to go as they had complimentary WiFi access and plenty of clean and open seating. The menu at Smish Smash is of course filled with burger options with no fewer than seven on their regular menu and a rotating special menu items including items with chili on them including fries, hot dog, and chili in a bowl, not to mention a couple of extra burgers to boot. Each of their burgers on their regular menu has the option of ordering it as a single or double smash burger. Since it was my first time, I ordered a single version of their Cheeseboiga, which had yellow American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions, and mac sauce. My dining mate ordered a single version of their Wow Burger which was topped with white American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and s2 sauce, which is a combination of mayonnaise and relish, with an order of a side of Curly Fries which were cooked in beef tallow, our total bill was 33 dollars before taxes and gratuity were added in. It wouldn't take too long for our order to be custom made by their team and we enjoyed every last bite while sitting at their communal dining inside the Saluhall. The most noticeable thing that I noticed about the smash burgers at Smish Smash was the fact how thin their smashed burgers were, almost paper like thinness, which made for a unique dining experience. But what was lacking in overall heft of the burger was more than made up in terms of overall juiciness and flavor of my overall burger, of which came out clear on the grease and flavor on my fingertips as I ate every last bite. So good was my experience at Smish Smash that a return visit mere a couple of months later was in order when I attended a show at the nearby Orpheum Theatre. With complimentary WiFi and water available to customers, this time I ordered their Smish Smash Special which was their Dac Biet smash burger which was their signature grass-fed smashed beef topped with white American cheese, sliced onions, jalapeños, cilantro, Thai basil, alfalfa sprouts, lime and pho aioli. This particular smash burger, which cost 16 dollars, was a little on the healthier side as the sprouts, onions, and cilantro overpowered everything, but the flavor profile did make it feel as if I was enjoying a bowl filled with pho noodles with all the fixings. I appreciate what Smish Smash is trying to do, as an up and coming entrepreneurial business from pop-up to permanent business in an area that could seriously use the support, I am all in with what Smish Smash is offering up on a daily basis, good affordable trendy smash burgers that makes burger lovers coming back for more and then some!
