We stopped by for a late dinner before a movie. They close at 9pm and we arrived at 8:30pm, not ideal but we agreed to eat at the table quick while the servers cleaned up. I'm not sure if it's because we came at this time, I thought the burger was okay. I got a double cheeseburger with all the fixings and cheddar. They had fresh fixings, but it was fine. The fries were crispy and good. I was surprised that when I ordered the calibur fries with the sauce and caramelized onions, everything was on the side and I had to assemble it, and again, it was okay. The prices are really high to justify the meal. The space was clean, there's indoor tables and there seems to be an outdoor area. The vibe was that the people working there were trying to do their side work and get out asap. Considering the price and quality of food, it wasn't my favorite

Everything that could go wrong with these delivery apps actually went wrong and they were not willing to accommodate! Unacceptable and the sad thing is the restaurant gets only a percentage! I'm gonna figure out a way to start a petition to cancel all delivery apps starting with Grubhub! The Restaurants should get 100% in my humble opinion. What went right was when I called Calibur to just cancel the order and that I would eat the cost, the amazing owner refused and offered to deliver my order himself! Wait whaaaat?? I was so grateful beyond belief! I tried to tip him again and he refused! The Burgers and Garlic Fries were absolutely amazing! We should support all small businesses for always! 1000% my family and I will be FOREVER customers for life!! Thanks so much!!

Some of he best fries in SF hands down. We got the garlic fries and the calibur fries (like animal style)! And they both blew us away with flavor. The best garlic fries I have ever had bc garlic was cooked all the way down and super concentrated with that garlic flavor so savory & tantalized my taste buds. My guy said the burger was amazing made with high quality beef a 5/5. The only thing that fell flat was the veggie burger it was very lackluster and they didn't add my cheese which costs extra. Milk shake wasn't great either... got malted but it was still runny and the malt wasn't dissolved it was tiny for the price. The portions here are average except for the fries( big), I would personally only return for fries!

Hands down by far the best burger joint/place in the city of San Francisco, the patty is cooked to perfection and overall one of the most balanced burgers I've had in the city. Give this place a try if you're ever around the Sunset/West portal area, burger and milkshake combo would be perfect on any beautiful day in the city.

Tried this place out on Door dash during the happy hour special. These burgers are great. Joins the ranks of other great burgers in the city. The chili cheese fries were phenomenal as well. Will have to check this place out in person sometime, but for the meantime, I'll be ordering from Door dash!

In N' Out is preferred but this one still ranked "good"

So this is what fast food costs you these days. $30 for: * Cheeseburger; * BLT; * Fries (cooked in Tallow, vegans beware); and an * IPA As my order was rung up at the counter I noticed the 25 cent bag charge being added. "Oh, we're eating here" I remarked only to learn that all orders are bagged "to go". In fairness, Calibur has removed all of their indoor seating (I know not why). A couple small tables and a parklet are just outside the door. Still, a tray would be my preference over paying for and wasting a bag. So I sat at a table out front, opened my bag, and ate. About the cheeseburger, here is what was said: "I like In N' Out's better" then "but this is still good". About my BLT, "It's good, if a bit bread-y". And about the fries, of which there was a very large portion served piping hot, "wow, we need more catsup" then "we're not going to finish all of these". Who doesn't finish fries? It's a very generous serving of tasty fries. So the word "good" was bandied around a lot here. I've no burning desire to return but if I were again in the area looking for something quick to order and appear, Caliber would be a decent option.

I asked for no cheese so they charged me $1.00 more without asking or telling me. That's how they do business . Way to lose a customer.

Well, in December, that night finally came and oh, what a night. There wasn't a single bad bite. We got so much!! We ended the night with cannoli, which was truly chef's kiss. A place that lives up to the hype and then some. Very cute place and the best service ever I felt like we've known the waiter forever! We started off with the beet salad and warm focaccia with olive oil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. The combination of hot bread with sweet, cool beets was a perfect contrast. The beets were perfectly cooked and came with crunchy, candied pecans over a light bed of whipped ricotta. I could not get enough, especially of the candied pecans. The focaccia was perfectly cooked and super light and fluffy. You can tell that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar are of the highest quality and the dip paired so well with the bread. For our mains, my husband got the rigatoni while I got the gnocchi carbonara (at the waiter's suggestion). Both of us were extremely happy with our choices. I'm used to getting gnocchi dishes that are super dense and doughy but in this dish, it was melting in your mouth. The infusion of the duck flavors really came through in the sauce and you had crispy meat sprinkled on top as well to give a contrasting texture to the rest of the dish. The rigatoni came with a couple of meatballs and sausages that you can tell are freshly made in house as they were tender and flavorful. The marinara sauce had a hint of sweetness with the tartness of the tomato sauce to balance it out. The pasta might have been a hair undercooked but it didn't make the dish any less delicious. For dessert, we ended with a chocolate tiramisu - a bed of moist, chocolate cake with a layer of coffee cream and cream on top, it was a delicious twist on the classic dish. We both agreed that we can't wait for our next visit back to Ofena!

Thanks to Alberto and the entire team, we had the best time, food, and overall experience. Even though the restaurant was incredibly busy--packed with people and with guests constantly walking in throughout the evening--Alberto never made us feel forgotten. He thoughtfully checked in on us, got everything to us in a reasonable amount of time, and was incredibly patient as I asked questions about different menu items. He even let us know that, although he was busy, we should simply flag him down if we needed anything at all. At establishments like this that have such a high volume of customers, I honestly don't expect service like this. I expect long waits and to spend half the evening trying to find my server. Not Alberto, though. He was kind, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable from beginning to end. As for the food, I had the Pilsner and Joe's Filet of Sole, my friend had the Golden Ale and Joe's Eggplant Parmigiana, and we shared the butter cake with ice cream for dessert. Everything was chef's kiss, including the bread and butter! I would absolutely come back just for the service from Alberto. Five stars, always. You can never go wrong with Original Joe's, and Alberto made an already great experience even better.

The place was packed, and without a reservation, it would have been nearly impossible to dine there. The restaurant has the classic feel of a traditional American-style steakhouse. The atmosphere was pleasant, although it was so crowded that it was difficult to appreciate many of the finer details of the interior. The staff were exceptionally patient and friendly, taking the time to explain the menu and offer their recommendations. For my meal, I ordered the ribeye steak and the seafood pasta. In my opinion, the steak was a bit overpriced for what it offered. The flavor was decent, but overall it felt expensive. I ordered it rare, yet the surface of the steak was surprisingly tough. The seafood pasta was fairly good and came with a generous amount of seafood, making it feel like a good value. However, I had expected a lighter flavor profile, and it turned out to be much creamier and richer than I anticipated. Overall, I would rate the food an 8/10. The restaurant only serves its famous Prime Rib after 2:30 PM each day. I've heard it's their signature dish, but unfortunately, we arrived too early and didn't get a chance to try it. All things considered, it's a solid restaurant. If you've never been before, it's worth visiting at least once to experience the atmosphere and see what makes it so popular.

Sure, sometimes it's nice to visit a lesser-known restaurant in hopes of finding a hidden gem, but the reality is -- any eatery worth Yelping about is being Yelped about. Every part of dinner further solidified Memento's status as a one-and-done deal. The mocktail we ordered was so syrupy thick, it needed watering down before we could drink it. Paella with sausage had a thin layer of crisp rice. Oddly enough, the tomatoey elements coupled with the type of sausage used reminded me of pizza. My bf reported that the steak in his surf & turf was undercooked & had a "funny" flavor. 'Nough said. As much as we'd like to support a neighborhood restaurant, it cannot be at the expense of good flavors & basic cooking techniques.

Even before this most recent visit, I'd enjoyed intimate dinners here for its creative, Korean-Thai-inspired menu that always packed an impressive punch of flavor but, dare I say, the brunch might be even better. The steak sandwich was absolutely phenomenal, with the steak seasoned and cooked to perfection and pairing beautifully with the charred onion aioli, plus a side of expertly crisped smashed potatoes that were so addicting. The steamed mussels were sumptuous and packed with umami, and I loved the two large bricks of toasted sourdough focaccia that were perfect for sopping up every last bit of the delicious dashi broth. But the pièce de résistance was the custard French toast, which I can only describe as the love child of bread pudding and tres leches cake as it was crispy on the outside but uber moist on the inside, custardy, and simply divine. Kothai will be deeply missed in the neighborhood, but I'm excited to see what's next for chef/owner Sung Park and will be first in line for whatever future project comes next.
