    Hummus
    Divya S.

I ordered via grubhub so can't comment on service or atmosphere. But the food was 10/10. I got the hummus, muhammra, falafel. Hummus and Muhammra came with Bite sized pitas. I also got their hot sauce and it was fire!! Loved everything, great for vegetarians too!!

Okay this place is DIVINE!!!! I loved the falafel. So tasty and moist. The hummus was so good as well as the salad and the pickled cabbage. The pink yogurt sauce was wildly good too that came with the pita. We ordered takeout which was perfect for a working day lunch. Will definitely be coming back here and have already been raving about to everyone I know.

    Chicken Half & Half Bowl

Can't speak to the experience at the location itself as I ordered delivery, but I was left feeling very impressed. Albeit a little pricey to have this delivered to me, it was enough food to feed me for 2 meals and was one of the best lunches I've had at work in a while. I got the half&half chicken bowl that came with choice of side (I got roasted veggies), and choice of sauce, along with pickled beets and red cabbage. I got the sumac lebneh hot sauce on the side, but truthfully, I was enjoying the food so much on its own that I forgot to use it until later in the meal. This bowl was HUGE, I should have read the website prior as it was 48oz of food and lasted me through lunch and dinner that day. Everything tasted fresh and I felt good eating it. I will absolutely order from here again!

    Double Pistachio Baklava (2 pcs)

This place was pretty good! It took about 10-15 mins to recieve our order as there were other people waiting and online orders. My chicken bowl was delicious and would definitely get it again. The only downside would be the pricing, I think it was like $8 for the two small pieces of baklava which were overly sweet. You can get 6 for that price elsewhere.

    Chicken Salad

I'm usually skeptical of 5 star reviews, but seeing Sumac's impressive Yelp status left me curious. I ordered a chicken salad which came with grilled chicken (obvi), pickled beets, pickled onions, and roasted vegetables atop a bed of baby spinach. The portions were HUGE, and they did not skimp out on the meat. Upon opening the box, the overwhelming smell of dill invaded the room, and I was afraid dill would overpower the other flavors in the salad. But, I was pleasantly proved wrong! The chicken was so flavorful, slightly smoky, and incredibly spiced. The pickled vegetables against the roast zucchini was an amazing flavor balance, and overall, the salad was a perfect symphony of savory and tangy. I didn't even need dressing! THAT's how good it was. Extra props for the service! The chicken salad was taped down which was great as the contents inside the box were secure throughout the delivery process. The sauces were also individually and generously portioned in takeout cups. Do definitely try, if you're in SF! This might just be my go-to lunch spot.

I came with a group of friends who were all tourists and first timers to Boudin, and they were all so happy and satisfied with their meals. Everyone ordered a bread bowl with a soup (clam and crab chowder). The sourdough bread bowl was so soft and actually had that sour taste to it that some sourdoughs lack. The portion size is great for the price of $15. Despite being a busy tourist destination, the cafe is very efficient with ordering and food service. They are really on top of it! There's lots of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. There are free water cups for diners. There is a bathroom upstairs. Along with yummy food, they also have many other pastries, including cutely shaped sourdoughs.

I gotta say the parking in North Beach is impossible, especially with the big Suburban we rented, so we just Ubered over from the hotel. This is one busy restaurant. Prices are SF high as well. But this is a company paid assignment so what the heck. I ordered the Joe's Special and my friend ordered the cheeseburger. I know, kinda ordinary, but it's supposed to be really good. I didn't get to see the food tossing cooks from where we were seated, but the food came out and smelled wonderful. Arrived on time for our 8:30pm reservation and was greeted to the beautiful ambiance inside. Is this the romantic, cozy, enchanting restaurant of my dreams? I think so! Those amber lightbulbs did their duty here to make this place feel warm and inviting. We were seated and was greeted by the wonderful Gilberto! He was literally the star and highlight of our evening. Cracked a few jokes, talked about his fave dishes, we really had a ton of fun with him. A complete gem! As I walked through my restaurant, I sat down and said " I smelled melted cheese, whatever that is, I want it" It was the Saghanaki and I needed it in my life. Melty cheesy and delicious. I met her, tasted her, and now I need more. Now, I only recently had Octopus once of twice before, but this one here was fabulous! Tender, delicious, beautiful. I absolutely adored this. The smelts were so fun to eat! I called them protein fries. Little teeny tiny fishies, so crispy and flavorful. For our entree, we snagged the porkchop special. SO. FREAKING. GOOD! It felt special too since it was....a special. It wouldn't have been a true dinner with me if i didnt finish off the meal with a dessert wine. Normally I go for a port, but we were dining in Greece this evening, so I went with the Vin Santo. Absolutely lovely and perfect for the end of our meal. Beautiful visit over at Kokkari. The ambiance was great, the food was fantastic, and the service was incredible! I can absolutely see myself here at the bar, having a fancy meal, sipping on a lovely cocktail, and enjoying myself. Kokkari Estiatorio hit the mark across the board on ambiance, service and food. Ambiance: This was great for a fun girls date but would also be a wonderful date night or group gathering. The restaurant aesthetic is a little rustic and feels intimate, but it is actually quite large and was very lively early on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant is indoors, there are large windows that open to the street that make it feel more open and fresh. Service: Our waitress was very friendly and had the perfect balance of being attentive but also giving us time and space. She did a good job pacing different dishes and didn't rush us out at all. Food & drink: My friend and I ordered wine and a series of apps to share. First, there was a great selection of wines! I ordered a Chalbis, one of my favorites, and it didn't disappoint. The menu has a wide variety and it was hard to pick! We shared the saganaki (with house bread), chili garlic prawns, octopus, fried zucchini cakes, and two off-menu specials (a duck dish and an apricot arugula salad). Every dish had a unique flavor profile but they were all so good in their own respect. Some specific callouts: the bread was thick and crispy on the outside but incredibly soft on the inside, the octopus was perfectly charred but still tender, and the yogurt sauce with the fried zucchini cakes was "zesty" and refreshing. We also enjoyed the baklava and frozen yogurt for dessert. I think these were fair portion sizes for the price point. I would love to come back here!
