Truth be told, I was probably enamored more with Soupchu's menu than Saucy Greens'. Tl;Dr - Delicious soups to go for delivery or otherwise. I haven't had it in person, but thankfully they always wrap and prepare it well for transport so every time I order it's piping hot. Ordered from these folks many times, my go to is always the chicken, but I've been getting partial to the beef. I've tried a few others but I keep going back to those two. I'll typically order them both and whichever one I'm not feeling in the moment I pop in the fridge then rewarm it for lunch the next day. Always consistently good, but I do wish perhaps they gave you slightly more portion for the price. It's not cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. read more

After all, I just can't say no to beef stew, whether it's Dinty Moore (well, maybe less likely to say yes) and, of course, when I'm on Oahu. This is the same chef owner as Sumac, Saucy Greens and NomNom Burger in the same space. Sumac is also OUTSTANDING, and I'm eager to try the other concepts and other Soupchu soups. This is a rare gem in SF with excellent food. This is a takeout only or delivery establishment. I've only done takeout (often eat in the car). The soup was packaged well with plastic wrapped around the container to prevent leaks. Do make sure you ask for a spoon, as it might not be included automatically. I recently ordered from this restaurant for delivery having never tried their food and I was pretty disappointed. Feeling under the weather and too tired to make my own, I decided to try their chicken bone broth soup. The order arrived packaged well, but the food itself was underwhelming. The soup tasted fine, but it's flavor profile was nothing special that you couldn't find in a higher quality canned soup and for less money. I can definitely make something 10x better at home, but for the convenience of just getting something quickly, it is decent. The soup itself was lacking ingredients being primarily composed of broth and it had barely any shredded chicken. The soup also comes with tiny slices of bread which, in my case, were not very fresh. One of the soups also had two pieces of the bread while the other only had one, so they don't seem very consistent in their portions. While the food isn't terrible, having only tried the chicken soup, I don't think it is worth the money personally. Based on the experience I had, I don't plan to try more of their food. Definitely will be ordering Pho next time if I need a comforting bowl of chicken soup. read more

Very smooth potato-based soup, pretty neutral in flavor, but a pinch of lemon. Red lentil is so blended up there's barely any chunks, everything is just smooth. Tasted good and it would be good for kids too. Green lentil soup: I liked this one better! More chunky, flavorful. Chard and barley soup (aka yogurt soup): tzatziki in a bowl! Pretty sour if that's your thing, but a little watery for me. Collard soup: probably my favorite. Had a slight taste similar to miso but idk what it was.
