    Chicken Rice Bowl
    Michelle Z.

Solid uber eats option! They did a BOGO deal so it was ~$21 for 2 bowls. The chicken rice bowl was good, had lots of herbed rice, and was packed with veggies. It felt healthy and super filling, and the chicken was cooked nicely -- not dry at all and very flavorful. It comes with a tahini sauce as well. Would def recommend for a healthy takeout delivery option!

I discovered this place while scrolling through Uber Eats and saw a BOGO promotion going on. So why not give it a try! Wow I must say I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived because not only did these bowls look very appetizing, but they also didn't skimp out on the portion sizes. I ended up trying the beef and lamb kabob rice bowl and the chicken rice bowl. My favorite was the beef and lamb kabob rice bowl. I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to take a photo of everything until I was already halfway through eating the kabob bowl. The beef and lamb (4 pieces per order) was very tasty, and I absolutely loved the pink yogurt sauce! The roasted and pickled veggies also paired well with the meat and rice. I'd definitively order the beef and lamb kabob rice bowl from this place again! Although I'd skip the chicken rice bowl in the future because the bowl was a bit too salty, and the tahini sauce that came with it wasn't that good.

Wow!!!! So so so yummy! I ordered the chicken keto bowl. The chicken was so flavorful and moist and the cauliflower rice and veggies were cooked to perfection!! The meal was filling but not heavy. I'd recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh authentic food. Can't wait to order from here again!

Found this place on doordash and it was beyond my expectations. I was feeling a bit helthy so decided on Mediterrenean, not only was my craving satisfied, my body thanked me. I ordered their chicken rice bowl and falafel with hummus so it usually lasts me for 2 lunches at work. Their proportions are big so it matches their price tag. It is quite expensive but you can taste the quality and weigh the proportions. I plan to try other things in their menu as time passes by. They also have gluten free and keto options so please make sure to try them!

Ordered Ubereats because of a discount. Really good meals. Orders: - Lamb and Beef Kabob Rice Bowl: Great flavors. Also enjoyed the rice and pickled veggies! It could easily be two meals for me - Chicken Rice Bowl (gluten-free): Yummy flavors. Chicken was well seasoned and moist. Rice was again really good! I've only had this place once but I feel like it would not disappoint if I order again.

Chicken Rice Bowl (but a few bites in, oops)

Ordered through UberEats because of a promotional deal and I am SO glad that I did. This was such a delicious meal. I ordered 2 chicken bowls (no modifications) and they arrived hot and fresh. The chicken was blissfully moist and I can't believe the value of each bowl - just look at how much chicken they give you! I find that restaurants often skimp on the protein serving, but Za'atar definitely doesn't skimp on anything. I loved the pickled onions, veggies, and turmeric-y sauce that came with it! And don't even get me started on the rice. The rice is so flavorful and pillowy. I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

I was in the SF area this weekend and was excited to finally try Za'atar after hearing great reviews about it from friends. I placed the order ahead of time and went to go pick it up. When I arrived, I was thrilled about the parking situation. It's located in a very large parking lot, so it was super easy to find parking (unlike so many restaurants in SF) and there were large signs that made it easy to find Za'atar. The food was ready for me to pick up and take home. The worker was super nice and friendly. When I got home and opened the bag, I was amazed at how colorful and beautiful the food looked! Then when I tasted it, I could not believe it. This was without a doubt the BEST Mediterranean food I've ever had! Ordered these: * Mediterranean Salmon Rice Bowl * Beef & Lamb Kabob Rice Bowl * Side Hummus with Warm Pita Just from one meal, I can already confidently say that this is one of my favorite restaurants in all of SF. Looking forward to returning soon to try more delicious food here!

    Hummus with Mushroom Ragu
    Dana Z.

Absolutely delicious. I am in love with the lamb and beef kabob bowl and ordered it twice. I think the key is to add artichoke hearts and a side of veggie :) also, hummus with mushroom ragu is very tasty. One feedback I'd like to give to Za'atar is that for some reason, the portion for my second order was smaller than the first order - please keep portion size consistent! I remember how excited and impressed I was with my first order, not only because the colors were beautiful, but also how great it smelled, all contributing to the wonderful mix of flavors and texture of everything in the bowl. I will definitely order more from Za'atar and try a few other things on the menu, such as the salmon rice bowl. Overall, great job, keep it up!

I was nervous about meat drying out during the delivery process, but when I got my salmon rice bowl it was still super moist and tender and tasty! The balance of spices is great, and the rice was super flavorful. Everyone's food came well-labeled, so there was no confusion as to whose meal was whose. I love that they have many keto and healthy options. Highly recommend for lunch delivery, and I would love to come back and try more!

Ordered delivery via Caviar for dinner. Healthy, filling, yummy Mediterranean food for good value that was as expected. Hummus with mushroom ragu - hummus was creamy and delicious. Only came with one pita pocket though. Would recommend getting extra pita to soak up the large amount of hummus Chicken rice bowl - good amount of protein and well seasoned vegetables Salmon bowl - salmon was too fishy. I wouldn't order this again

The kebabs were made with chicken breast, but very tender and moist, and the side of hummus was fresh, creamy and delicious. We also tried the sangria which was great- not too sweet and decently strong (not watered down bad wine). For dessert, the lemon cake was tasty but odd that dried cranberries were sprinkled into the whipped cream. I appreciated the variety offered on the menu- not just typical Greek food you find everywhere else that touts "Mediterranean food". The service was super nice and efficient, and I like that it has been family owned and run (sadly an increasingly rare San Francisco characteristic these days)- you can tell the difference in the quality and thought put into the experience.

We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Being married into a family that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, I admit I'm a bit biased.
