I don't usually venture out to pick-up lunch on weekdays but every now and then, I treat myself. RT Rotisserie, part of the Rich Table family, is always packed during lunchtime. The first time I picked up from there, I got the rice bowl with chicken. I wanted to try the rotisserie fat rice that came with it. That was a big mistake as the bottom portion of the box was so oily and heavy that it would've been the same if I just opened a bottle of cooking oil and just drank it. The second time, I went with the rotisserie chicken salad. My fault for assuming their house dressing wouldn't be creamy, I asked for my salad to be tossed rather than the dressing on the side. Another big miss as there was so much dressing that my salad was drowning in it. The online ordering option didn't allow me to select light or extra dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by this casual, neighborhood spot. :) The chicken bowl is great! Tender, juicy chicken cooked perfectly - it's almost shredded but not fully. The rice is so tasty - it's the chicken broth rice type (NOT vegetarian). And I liked the garnishes that came with it. There is quite a bit of good seasoning on it, including sesame seeds, dill, etc. so you actually don't really need a sauce in my opinion. I got the chimichurri and it was more sauce-based than the traditional oil-base, which I really liked. I also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and it was a good portion with aioli. This was my first time trying RT Rotisserie but I had heard good things as it's the casual spot associated with Rich Table. I got the chicken salad and shared a side of fried sunchokes with a friend. Loved the sunchokes which were a pretty unique find and tasted like a mix of turnip and potato. Really flavorful and lighter than the usual potato side. The chicken salad was good as well but I found the white meat chicken to be a bit dry. I did really enjoy the sesame dressing and the pickled red onions were a great addition to brighten up the salad. I tried the pork belly as well (my friend got the rice bowl with pork belly) and it was delicious. Super crunchy pork belly chunks, it reminded me of chicharron pieces. Not the healthiest choice but worth the extra calories! Ordering is easy via the kiosk and we got our food quickly. There's bottles of water out and overall a nice spot for a casual meal. read more

The counter service was great. The food was really tasty as well. I really like their chimichurri sauce and the chicken skin is just perfectly crispy and the chicken is perfect perfectly juicy. I got the half chicken and the side of the sweet potato. Chicken did seem a little small for the $13 or so that it cost barely any meat on the leg, but the breast was reasonable. I came here for lunch with my colleagues as it was close by the office, I've had eaten RT before when I had used Uber Eats and remembered that the food was quite delicious, so I recommended it. We walked over, walked in and it's pretty self-serve, order from the counter or have a seat and scan the QR code for you to look through the menu and the food will come to you. Once I ordered, I grabbed a few water bottles and cups, again self-serve but always in stock, and a few minutes later, our food came out. My coworkers had a fried chicken sandwich, which they said was delicious, and another had a half chicken and said it was super juicy. I went with my normal order that I got before and had a chicken bowl with rice, the food was just as I remembered it, tender, flavorful, and the chimichurri sauce on top, perfecto! The ambiance for us was nice and quiet, but then again we came around 1:30pm, so the rush was likely already gone, but it was a good mix of students and workers from around the neighborhood enjoying their meals! read more

The lamb was dry and sweet, which I'm not used to for lamb at least. I wish the rice bowl had an accompanying sauce to help flavor the rice. I would probably not order again. This is my second time going to RT rotisserie and I'm honestly such a big fan! The first time I ordered takeout from this location and pick up was super fast and easy at the counter, although there was a big line of DoorDash delivery drivers who were also waiting. Today, I dined in at around 11:30 and had my first choice of seating since it wasn't busy yet. The staff working was so nice and inviting. They brought water over as I was waiting for my friends to join and instructed me to place my order via QR code. Around 12:15, the place got packed and every table was full! The staff are nice and help instruct folks where to sit and give estimated wait times for in house dining. I ordered the RTR salad with added chicken, umami fries, and the garlic aïoli. The RTR salad is extremely well dressed, so if you're someone who isn't super into dressing, maybe ask for it on the side. Otherwise, the ingredients are super fresh and the chicken is so flavorful and delicious. There is a bitter ingredient that is not my favorite in the salad, but it's still really good. The star of the show, and the reason why I'm writing this review, are the umami fries!! I think these fries have changed my life!! They are so insanely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and taste delicious with the seasoning. Draw your own conclusions but I'm not staying quiet. I used to LOVE RT Rotisserie. I was a regular. I recommended it to people. The rice, lamb salad, Brussels sprouts, lamb pita, and fries are my favorite. Honestly, the entire menu is a win. But something changed... and not in a small way. First, the quality started slipping. Then the portions took a nosedive. What used to be full, generously packed takeout boxes especially the salad and Brussels sprouts turned into HALF-FILLED containers. Half. For the same price. That's when I stopped going. I gave them another shot earlier this year, and for a moment it seemed like they had fixed it. Portions were back. I thought, "Okay, maybe they listened." Then came this latest experience and it completely killed any remaining trust I had. They handed me a box of Brussels sprouts that were completely burned. Not slightly overdone but CHARRED. Inedible. And someone in that kitchen looked at it and said, "Yeah, send it out." I didn't even notice until I got back to my office. I tried calling but no answer. Not surprising, because they basically NEVER pick up the phone. And this isn't a one-off. I once came in close to closing (they shut at 9pm), ordered chicken I've had many times before and it was dry, tough, and clearly past its prime. If you're thinking of going, do yourself a favor: don't go after 8pm. What's even more frustrating? Management. Or lack of it. Look through the reviews. The person responding conveniently skips over the negative ones. No accountability. No attempt to fix things. Just silence when it actually matters. This place used to be a go-to. Overall service was 5/5 - attentive to refilling our waters and promptly delivering each item as it came out. Food 4/5: We both liked our dishes and the portions were generous; the kebab could use more salt and the broccoli as well. They probably underseason it for the target health-focused consumer.
