Build your own bowl with Paprika chicken! Fabulous! Keto brilliance!

Fabulous! We have found out new favorite take out spot for the office. Gluten free and Keto heaven! I love the build your own bowl option. Paprika chicken is my favorite. Cauli rice. Eggplant is amazing. Regular cauliflower is fantastic. Everything is great! We have ordered delivery several times now. And my coworker who is celiac love the chicken nuggets!

Yummy healthy food? No, it's not an oxymoron. Kitava's Power Bowl is my jam. Gluten-free and paleo cuisine intimidates me, but they have something for everyone and it's so good, you won't even realize you're eating GF and paleo! Guac, hummus, and very fresh veggies. I need to make this at home but why would I do that when Kitava has it down to an art? Will be back. I like their meat add-ons and how you can customize any bowl!

Really great unassuming casual spot for a healthy bowl/salad in the Mission. It's a hidden spot that opens up to a bright, spacious casual eatery that was surprising to see on Mission St. I was looking for something quick and healthy for a late lunch and Kitava seemed like the perfect spot to pick up food. I got a BYO bowl with paprika chicken, roasted broccoli, and warm mushrooms with a salad greens base and the avocado green goddess dressing. Loved this combination and the fact that the broccoli and mushrooms came out warm! The green goddess dressing was fresh and tangy, perfect on the chicken and veggies. The portion was pretty generous as well. Staff was nice and answered our questions about how a couple of toppings were prepared. Overall great place for something casual and healthy in the Mission.

Hidden gem located on 16th and Mission, Kitava is a a great spot if you're looking for a quick, healthy and hearty meal. I got the BYO bowl with Picadillo beef, greens, Brussels sprouts, chimichurri mushrooms and herb ranch- everything was super fresh and I loved the portion size. The restaurant was clean and the staff was really nice. The vibe is laid-back and very chill.

The food was amazing! Great quality gf food, great portions and was brought up quickly. Staff were super kind, the inside of the restaurant was nice but the location of the restaurant is a little sketchy. Would get it again tho!

Clean and well kept inside, surprising find by 16th and Mission. Person taking order was friendly, love the aesthetics of the remodel after they took over a McDonalds. We ordered: - Power bowl (4/5): Guac and humus were a nice touch, everything tasted fresh - Kimchi mushroom bowl (4/5): Mushrooms were so good here $5-$9 more for meat add ons. Ingredients tasted fresh but felt portions could be slightly bigger for the base price.

Saw the line for La Taqueria going for miles around the corner so decided to come here instead. Got the power bowl to share. Came out so fast and it was so yummy! Felt so healthy and nutritious. The restaurant itself was very clean and gave green healthy vibes.

My Sesame Chicken Bowl and side of Chimichurri Mushrooms

Recently dined as a party of two before a concert nearby. We beat the dine-in rush (dining in a little after 5P) but plenty of orders for pick-up were flying off the counter. The restaurant was tidy and sleek, something that might fit in well at Saluhall. Service was friendly and prompt, the food came out relatively quick after ordering at the counter. I enjoyed the sesame chicken bowl with a side of chimichurri mushrooms. The chicken was perfectly, lightly battered and moist, the broccoli roasted just right. Eric liked his sweet plantain bowl too. The portions were larger than I expected (nice surprise!) so I didn't need the side of mushrooms. But I'm glad I ordered them because they were delicious too. To drink, I had ordered a bottle of unsweetened green tea and it was nice to be offered a glass to drink it from. (I opted out and drank it from the sealed bottle.) I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area and try other bowls!

When I want to eat something healthy and fast, my go-to for this is Kitava, and they have two locations. The SF location is next to the 16th Street BART station, which used to be a McDonald's. The space has a lot of seating and is bright, warm, and inviting. Everything on the menu is prepared using whole food ingredients which are gluten-free, dairy-free, peanuts-free, and soy-free. One of the oils they use is Palm oil, and this sometimes bothers my digestive system. I am a fan of the sesame chicken bowl ($16), and the evolved caesar salad ($10, which is a more affordable dup. of the vegan caesar salad at Rad Radish). If you have celiacs or any autoimmune disease(s), this place is a must.

This plantain bowl was awesome Normally not a fan of beans however they were AMAZING esp w good rice

I had no idea what to order ... had just driven from Cupertino then walked the parade area was sure busy so looked in after finding on yelp. Super cool mellow vibe / ambiance I needed after crazy outside party in street vibe because of parade. I was greeted by tall guy with so much aloha ... asked him what to order ... he showed me menu ... so I ordered plantain bowl omg haven't had plantains in forever ... when bowl came I wasn't impressed w visuals but wow greens were fresh spectacular flavor. Generally not a fan of beans - they were out of this world !!! W fresh rice & loved the whole experience- i highly recommend this place esp if you are vegan / vegetarian they have also a few other options... the dish came w a sauce ... I didn't even notice till I was finished eating Definitely didn't need sauce . Tasted after w rice was not my flavor - but amazing fresh flavorful food. I don't feel over stuffed it feels healthy & fresh !!! And filling I'll be back

I'm here to tell you that if you're going to treat yourself to good salad, Kitava does it right. I got the power bowl with additional chicken which was just the right amount of food for me as a big eater. It also kept me full for about 6 hours. If you're a small eater you may be able to split it into two meals or a meal and a half. Although pricey, most salad spots priced lower tend to have less quality and quantity. If you get the base salad without an additional protein option, it's actually quite affordable; but as other reviews mentioned the additional protein adds an extra ~5 dollars. For me, since I'm viewing it as a treat, I don't mind paying extra for good quality ingredients and a well balanced nourishing meal.

I love this place so much!!! One of my favorite Cesar salads in the city. Everything has so much flavor and is such a unique take on a simple Cesar salad. I like to add a side of their crispy chicken nuggets on top. Everything from the dressing to the croutons are 10/10!!!

High ratings, few reviews, but we were adventurous and decided to try it, glad we did. Ingredients is on a corner, looked relatively new from the outside LED "Open" sign prominent in the window. Once we walked in, however, we entered a different world from what we were expecting. Luxurious mustard seats, lots of tables for four, seating with high gray bench banquettes, reminding me of a 70s tune ("Diamonds in the back..."); retro vibe elegantly done with modern lighting and sconces. Not cheesy by any stretch, but in a neighborhood place you could wear sweats or a suit to eat at. Our waiter was Jackie, an enthusiastic young man who seemed like he wasn't just there to wait on tables. Throughout the evening he was easy to chat with while being knowledgeable about his food he served without being condescending. He made someone unfamiliar with the menu feel new-to-us dishes weren't going to be an experiment. We ordered the beet salad, the 8 ounce hamburger with fries, the mushroom risotto, and on Jackie's recommendation the Nepal BBQ ribs. In the meantime they served us house made brioche buns-warm, soft, delicate and chewy, flaky; reminded me of Texas Roadhouse buns, but far better. Served with a little olive oil and balsamic in a separated dish, you could eat them plain and enjoy the craftsmanship of baked excellence. We wanted more but in retrospect we would've been filled up with brioche and not enjoyed the meal. Tough choice. The roasted beet salad, served with shaved fennel, a beet balsamic jus, and an apple-citrus slaw that was fresh, sweet with hints of citrus offset by the fennel so it wasn't cloyingly sweet. The textures were enjoyable-the softness of the beets with the crunch of the fennel slaw, we anxiously cleaned the plate! Next came the risotto and the burger. What was enjoyable was the mushroom risotto-a refreshing presentation of toothsome Arborio, creamy yet firm, interplaying with a variety of mushrooms that immediately became one of the better risotto we've had, texturally excellent, not one note like most risotto, it came out hot but not searing; deft hands created a concoction that kept us going back for more. The burger was simple, cooked medium, but one of the best we've had in a very long time. We should qualify the burger as a cheeseburger as we were given a choice- bleu cheese or cheddar, we chose the bleu cheese and it was a good choice, just the right amount complimenting the veggies that came with burger. Oh, the fries-skinny, perfectly fried they stayed equally crunchy from first to last, served in a mini fry basket that was cute but it also showed they meant business, these fries were better than that Irish fast food place, and aren't they the iconic standard of French fries? IMO Ingredients is now the new standard. They were served with house made ketchup, excellent with or without. The ribs came last originally accompanied by a Mac and cheese but since we ordered risotto they served the ribs separately with a slaw. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone, but a little more savory than sweet , served with just enough sauce to accompany the ribs without being messy, easy enough to eat using knife and fork, the kicker was a hint of five spice, subtle enough if it's in your background, but not an annoyance if it's not. Flavorful, hearty, filling, delicious, We ended our meal with a homemade "apple pie," a creation made of thinly sliced apples, perhaps poached, with cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, along with fresh fruit, and a yummy scoop of "creamy"mango sorbet. Lots of surprising good vibes-no crust, all apple, not heavy; the mix of spices played well with each other; mango sorbet wasn't icy like sorbets tend to be, the fresh fruits added a touch of freshness to the dish that could have been sweet-centric, but not. A delicate yet satisfying end to a delicious meal. We met the chef, Sok, at the end of our meal, who had his culinary training n Kathmandu and expanded his repertoire in his world travels. He definitely knows how to elevate a good meal, and his Nepal and French influences add an understated flair to what he cooks. Sok takes tremendous pride in what he presents to the diner, evidenced by who he hires, and how each dish is presented. Dining in Ingredients is gratifying, from the dining room to the staff to the dishes themselves. More people should give Ingredients a try, a gem of a neighborhood find, a rarity in SF! Thank you so much, we have a new favorite restaurant!

I was satisfactorily full, as I felt like the four plates were just a bit larger than tapas size. The mid-August options I'd chosen were - minestrone soup (4/5) - calamari risotto (5/5) - crispy pork schnitzel (3/5) - chamomile panna cotta (5/5) - buttered sourdough (5/5) The minestrone soup had a great creamy base with the mousse on top. Calamari risotto was delicious, creamy, soft rice, and it had a rich seafood flavor. You can tell the chef added plentiful seafood and the calamari was chewy. Crispy pork schnitzel came with a delicious mustard jus, just a little too salty for my liking. Chamomile panna cotta was probably my favorite, creamy with a subtle chamomile flavor that made it a great ending for the meal. The only thing is the timing of the food coming out was a bit slow, as there were intervals of 30 minutes in between courses. Otherwise service was exceptional and always made their rounds refilling our wine and water!

Came with a few friends later in the evening on Sunday as a walk-in and was seated within about 30 minutes. We started with the duck egg shakshuka, which was excellent. The bread was perfect for scooping everything up, and our server brought us more after we finished the first round--a small but appreciated touch. The Yaya's fried chicken had great flavor, but at $33, it felt a little underwhelming for what you get. Well-seasoned and enjoyable, just not as memorable as the rest of the meal. The pork chop was the standout and easily one of the best I've had recently. Corn was in season, and the pairing worked beautifully. The pork was cooked perfectly and consistently flavorful throughout. The meal reminded me a bit of Liholiho, so I naturally compared the two. We also shared the chicken and waffles, and honestly, the chicken was so juicy and went great with the slightly sweet and surprisingly (and pleasantly) not strong sauce. The service and food came at a perfect pace made the experience even better. Not too fast and not too slow. The rooftop was nice too. Service and Food just right. 10/10 honestly.

Daniel took care of us and recommended a pasta that ended up being one of the best dishes we had. His thoughtful recommendations, genuine hospitality, and warm personality elevated the entire evening and made it a truly memorable experience. We came back last night and were so excited to see Daniel again! He remembered us, made us feel incredibly welcome, and crafted an absolutely delicious lychee cocktail. Highly recommend Wildseed for both the amazing food and exceptional hospitality. A special shout-out to Daniel for always going above and beyond!

The kitchen here deserves 5 stars, but the floor service dragged the experience down…read more The food was absolute perfection! We loved the mushroom taco, an incredible blend of flavors and textures. The beetroot appetizer was a brilliant, tasty idea. Sitting outdoors in the great weather was a bonus, though the indoor ambiance looks wonderful too. Unfortunately, our waitress was completely uninterested and slow. It felt like she didn't care about any tables in her section, to the point where I actually had to walk up to the reception just to get a water refill. Big kudos to the chefs for carrying the restaurant! I'd definitely give this spot another shot (or at least try their other locations and hope they have friendly staff)
